Project Victim of the Week v3! Week 14: Dragon Dance Kommo-o

I understand that there are different people who facilitate OU Victim of The Week than UU Victim of The Week, but do you think there is going to be any bans for submissions? Anyway, here's a counter to Slowbro-Mega:

Sableye-Mega @ Sablenite
Ability: Prankster
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 Spe
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Calm Mind
- Shadow Ball
- Recover
- Protect

Sableye walls Slowbro, is immune to toxic, and 2HKOs after just one cm boost. Max defense isn't needed for Slowbro, but it helps with other match ups, like Mega Medicham, tank chomp, and non-SD Gliscor. Shadow ball is preferred over dark pulse to hit fairies harder. Protect ensures safe mega evolution turn one; is useful for scouting; and helps Stall low-pp moves, toxic (from teammates), and rain/sun. Recover is obviously needed for longevity.

I guess it was unnecessary to elaborate on the set beyond its ability to check Slowbro, but I literally covered Slowbro with one sentence.

why are ashgren and hoopa listed in counters tho?

Sorry for being dead for a while, going through some rather difficult times rn.

Grats Tysonslayer and Egor for winning this round.

Next round is Tornadus-T! While this is quite a common Pokemon seen in OU, I ran into a bunch of fun sets while playing on ladder for fun, and this set from Ahy Wddicted's OLT team has piqued my interest.
191226

Tornadus-Therian (M) @ Flyinium Z
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 40 Atk / 216 SpA / 252 Spe
Naive Nature
- Toxic
- Hurricane
- Superpower
- Knock Off

Toxic is a great move against Koko and Zapdos, and with entry hazards they really struggle to safely check Tornadus-T. Superpower with 40 Atk EVs guarantees 2HKO on offensive Heatran after Stealth Rock, and Knock Off + Toxic is extremely difficult to switch into as any non-Z-Move Magearna, SpDef Heatran, and Celesteela greatly dislikes taking Knock Off, and Toxapex will have trouble with dealing with Tornadus-T if it loses Black Sludge, assuming it hasnt used the Z-Move yet. What would be your check or counter to this Tornadus-T set?
Submissions end next Monday.

Magearna @ Fairium Z
Ability: Soul-Heart
EVs: 248 HP / 28 Def / 76 SpA / 132 SpD / 24 Spe
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Calm Mind
- Pain Split
- Fleur Cannon
- Thunderbolt

Pain Split Magearna can use Tornadus-T as bait; it doesn't mind anything it can throw at it, not even Knock Off thanks to Fairium Z.

Banned deucer.
Zapdos

Artwork145.png
Zapdos @ Leftovers
Ability: Static
EVs: 248 HP / 240 Def / 20 Spe
Bold Nature
- Discharge
- Roost
- Heat Wave
- Defog

Despite having Toxic, Zapdos still poses a threat to Tornadus-Therian as it can still reliably switch into Superpower and Hurricane. When Tornadus-Therian might Knock Off the
Leftovers from zapdos it can get para'd due to Static and Tornadus-Therian dislikes getting para'd as it does not like egtting crippled like this because it will lose its amazing speed.
Tornadus-Therian also can not wear down Zapdos that easily even with Toxic as Zapdos has its own way of a recovery option in Roost. Also the Z-Hurricane won't do too much to Zapdos
either as it is part electric and resists Tornadus-Therian flying-type STAB.
Discharge has also a chance to para Tornadus-Therian and Heat Wave also has a chance to cripple its offenses down on the physical side as it can burn Tornadus-Therian.
Overall Zapdos is a great answer to Tornadus-Therian and therefore a good counter.

Calcs:

0 SpA Zapdos Discharge vs. 4 HP / 0- SpD Tornadus-Therian: 254-302 (158.7 - 188.7%) -- guaranteed OHKO
0 SpA Zapdos Heat Wave vs. 4 HP / 0- SpD Tornadus-Therian: 101-119 (63.1 - 74.3%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock

216 SpA Tornadus-Therian Supersonic Skystrike (185 BP) vs. 248 HP / 0 SpD Zapdos: 143-168 (37.3 - 43.8%) -- 51.6% chance to 2HKO after Stealth Rock and Leftovers recovery
216 SpA Tornadus-Therian Hurricane vs. 248 HP / 0 SpD Zapdos: 84-100 (21.9 - 26.1%) -- 89.7% chance to 4HKO after Stealth Rock and Leftovers recovery
40 Atk Tornadus-Therian Knock Off (97.5 BP) vs. 248 HP / 240+ Def Zapdos: 59-70 (15.4 - 18.2%) -- guaranteed 5HKO after Stealth Rock
40 Atk Tornadus-Therian Superpower vs. 248 HP / 240+ Def Zapdos: 36-43 (9.3 - 11.2%) -- possibly the worst move ever

Tyranitar @ Tyranitarite
Ability: Sand Stream
EVs: 168 HP / 252 Atk / 88 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Pursuit
- Stone Edge
- Fire Punch

Unable to be OHKOed by Superpower until Rocks and 3 layers of Spikes, Megatar comes in and either Stone Edges or Pursuits. It can also set up Rocks if the Torn player knows Ttar will survive and switches out. Check as it fears Superpower or worse Toxic.

Nominating Celesteela:

Celesteela @ Shed Shell
Ability: Beast Boost
EVs: 248 HP / 104 Def / 156 SpD
Relaxed Nature
- Heavy Slam
- Flamethrower
- Leech Seed
- Toxic

Celesteela laughs at every move Tornadus has to throw at it. Heavy slam hits pretty hard, leech seed recovers health, and toxic serves as a more permanent way to wear down Torn (and other 'mons, of course). Shed shell stops Magnezone from trapping you, but the item slot is mostly irrelevant in this scenario (Torn just knocks it off). Flamethrower is standard, and allows Celesteela to OHKO Kartana.

Scrubs can use leftovers and protect instead of shed shell and toxic.

Diancie @ Diancite
Ability: Clear Body
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Hasty Nature
- Stealth Rock / Protect
- Moonblast
- Diamond Storm / Protect
- Earth Power

Mega Diancie is a check to Tornadus. It resists Hurricane and Knock Off, avoids the 2HKO from Superpower, and reflects Toxic after mega-evolving, giving it plenty of opportunities to switch in and 1HKO with Diamond Storm (or Moonblast if Stealth Rock is up).

However, even though Diancie resists Flying, Supersonic Skystrike + Superpower is a 2HKO if the damage rolls are in Tornadus' favor. Protect can help, but it doesn't make Z-Hurricane any safer to switch into.

Offensive:
252 SpA Diancie-Mega Moonblast vs. 0 HP / 0- SpD Tornadus-Therian: 220-261 (73.5 - 87.2%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
0 Atk Diancie-Mega Diamond Storm vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Tornadus-Therian: 390-462 (130.4 - 154.5%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Defensive:
216 SpA Tornadus-Therian Hurricane vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Diancie-Mega: 72-84 (29.8 - 34.8%) -- 13.1% chance to 3HKO
216 SpA Tornadus-Therian Supersonic Skystrike (185 BP) vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Diancie-Mega: 120-141 (49.7 - 58.5%) -- 99.6% chance to 2HKO
216 SpA Tornadus-Therian Supersonic Skystrike (185 BP) vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD protected Diancie-Mega: 30-35 (12.4 - 14.5%) -- possible 7HKO
40 Atk Tornadus-Therian Superpower vs. 0 HP / 0- Def Diancie-Mega: 92-109 (38.1 - 45.2%) -- guaranteed 3HKO
-1 40 Atk Tornadus-Therian Superpower vs. 0 HP / 0- Def Diancie-Mega: 62-73 (25.7 - 30.2%) -- guaranteed 4HKO
40 Atk Tornadus-Therian Knock Off vs. 0 HP / 0- Def Diancie-Mega: 25-30 (10.3 - 12.4%) -- possible 9HKO
-1 40 Atk Tornadus-Therian Knock Off vs. 0 HP / 0- Def Diancie-Mega: 17-20 (7 - 8.2%) -- possibly the worst move ever

Aggron-Mega @ Aggronite
Ability: Sturdy
EVs: 248 HP / 56 Atk / 200 SpD / 4 Spe
Careful Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Heavy Slam
- Earthquake
- Ice Punch

Thanks to its enormous physical defense, its ability, Filter, and its Steel typing, Mega-Aggron is an ideal counter to Toxic Tornadus Therian. Indeed, it doesn't take a lot from either Superpower or Hurricane, and is immune to Toxic, while it is able to 2HKO Tornadus with Heavy Slam.

40 Atk Tornadus-Therian Superpower vs. 248 HP / 0 Def Filter Aggron-Mega: 64-76 (18.6 - 22.1%) -- possible 5HKO

216 SpA Tornadus-Therian Hurricane vs. 248 HP / 200+ SpD Aggron-Mega: 68-81 (19.8 - 23.6%) -- possible 5HKO

56 Atk Aggron-Mega Heavy Slam (120 BP) vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Tornadus-Therian: 217-256 (72.5 - 85.6%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

Switches in safely, torn has no uturn to widdle it down with hazards so every time he knock offs you get a safe wish out. On offensive teams you can run go rocks over wish/tect which obviously degrades it from counter to check but it's one of the safest options on offense. Also enables you to get a slowturn off to then threaten torn with one of your offensive presences.

Jirachi @ Leftovers
Ability: Serene Grace
EVs: 248 HP / 188 SpD / 72 Spe
Careful Nature
- Wish
- Protect
- Iron Head
- U-turn

Reuniclus @ Psychium Z
Ability: Magic Guard
EVs: 252 HP / 212 Def / 44 Spe
Bold Nature
- Calm Mind
- Psyshock
- Focus Blast
- Recover

Lol this thing is not balanced. Just setup and win while your opponent wonders why they chose toxic

216 SpA Tornadus-Therian Hurricane vs. 252 HP / 0 SpD Reuniclus: 178-211 (41.9 - 49.7%) -- guaranteed 3HKO

Weavile @ Choice Band
Ability: Pickpocket
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Knock Off
- Icicle Crash
- Ice Shard
- Pursuit

Outspeeds Torn and KOs it with Icicle Crash. With a little chip Ice Shard(74.9 - 88.9%) can also do the trick.
