:weavile:. The defining wallbreaker of OU for what feels like time immemorial. Knock Off is a move which nothing in the tier ever wants to see as items are maybe more important than ever but no absorbing items exist, even when they're weak, and Weavile's will chunk almost anything. Dark, Ice, and Fighting is a match made in heaven for gen 8 coverage as Dark chunks most, Ice provides a wide array of supereffective coverage and Fighting covers the omnipresent Steel types for Ice without any pertinent immunities.

Its best defensive check cannot recover from Knock Off, meanwhile :clefable::corviknight::skarmory: will struggle against neutral coverage from it after being run down. As one of the scariest teambuilding threats, Weavile is my nomination for one of the metagame's top 10 titans.

I'm going to end this a bit early because of how overwhelming the results are. Clefable wins with 32 votes as Gen 8 OU's most influential titan, with 2nd place contender Dragapult's vote count not even yielding a quarter of Clefable's. This was really unexpected; I myself am utterly shocked at the turnout, and will contemplate it for months on end.

Now we will be voting for Gen 8 OU's 2nd most influential titan over the course of the generation. You may choose from any one of the options listed below, and will have 72 hours to vote like last time. Any votes that contain Pokemon that aren't in the list below will be omitted from the tally.
