Silly Things You've Seen On The OU Ladder!

Just saw an averagemons battle in which someone had FLAMETHROWER on darmanitan like really would someone use that base 30 sp.attack wow

Random Shit volume 6:
-Dragon Claw, Body Slam, Weakness Policy Latios.
-Switching Kyurem-B into an obvious Play Rough.
-Mega Mawile with an unidentified Hidden Power type (it was SE on Heracross, that's all I could tell).
-A Ferrothorn attempting to use Leech Seed on Espeon, even though its trainer knew it had Magic Bounce.
-Said Espeon holding a Red Card.
-A Trevenant using Will-o-Wisp on a sleeping Crocune.
-Seaking.
-Hone Claws Crawdaunt.
-Ferroseed.
-Diggersby using Earthquake... on a Noivern.
-Iron Tail Jolteon, Persian, itemless Ninetales, and Abomasnow (the latter two both had their weather abilities) on the same team. And he won.
-Whimsicott using Memento on turn 2.
-Chansey using Counter against a Banette.
-Sashed Reuniclus. That's one way to get Trick Room up.

Ferroseed with eviolite is arguably all-round bulkier than Ferrothorn, especially with leech seed returning a higher % of its HP, due to a lower base HP (with higher base def and sp def to compensate).

I would still never use it, mind.

Fought against a QuakeEdge Adamant 252 Attack Forretress yesterday night, which quite honestly baffled the hell out of me.
That's not entirely stupid, though it was better with Custap berry in gen 5. Forretress naturally lures fire types and Magnezone, which are weak to Earthquake. I've managed to kill multiple things with it quite often, just due to the fact that no one expects it to have Earthquake + max atk. Not to mention, many people will switch in Lucario or some shit and think they can set up on it.

Here's a few examples of it doing work:

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/ounostealthrock-52438942 <-- Setting up on Forry? Nope...

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/ounostealthrock-51792827 <-- Ironically removing both magnets from play

On a side note, sifting through those old replays reminds me of this guy:

Doesn't explain Stone Edge.

Joke team for the win.

Edit: Making this Random Shit volume 6.5 7, because .5's are silly.
-Overheat Talonflame. I guess it works...
-Fly/Protect Skarmory. Who do you think you are, Giratina?
-Mixed attacking Carbink.
-Iron Defense/Iron Head Ferrothorn.
-A team with all three fully evolved Kalos starters.
-Sucker Punch/Poison Jab Sableye.
-Mixed attacking Kingdra with Quick Claw.
-Substitute Forretress. It doesn't work if Sturdy trips, though.
-A Smeargle successfully pulling off two +2 QuiverPasses (the latter partially due to Cinccino's Tail Slap missing). The recipients: Talonflame and Gliscor.
-Said Gliscor not realizing that Mega Pinsir is Flying type and using Earthquake on it. Twice.

Random Shit volume 8:
-Effect Spore Breloom.
-Steel Wing Salamence.
-Yet another all Eeveelution team (this one did not win, but at least Flareon did something).
-This: http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/ou-79367338
-Red's team: http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/ou-79366045
-A Red Card held up against a U-Turning Genesect.
-Scizor with X-Scissor and without Bullet Punch.
-You thought Red's team was silly? http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/ou-79366117
-Sashed Breloom.
-Confuse Ray Drapion and Milotic.
-Need a way to revenge kill Goodra? How about Druddigon?
-Sableye without Taunt. Why?
-Milotic with Ice Beam (which is legit), Aqua Tail (not so much), and... Attract.
-Azumarill with Perish Song and Whirlpool. It did also have Aqua Jet, but apparently not Huge Power, as it did about 23% to an Infernape.
-Multiple Red Card Forretresses (what is it with those, anyway?)

-Steel Wing Salamence.
This one makes a little sense. A little. You can do much better than Steel Wing.
If this guy's strategy was to deal 21.2% damage to the opponent's lead and steal its berry, then he succeded.
There was stupid on both sides. Skull bash Squirtle? Foul Play Gengar? That last one really confuses me. What the hell are you trying to hit?
-Sashed Breloom.
Isn't Focus Sash the standard item on Breloom?
-Sableye without Taunt. Why?
Because Substitute is a thing?
-Azumarill with Perish Song and Whirlpool.
One of those strategies that are only good if you're facing a complete moron.

I can't believe I got away with a clean sweep with. . .my Mono-Grass versus my opponent's Mono-Fire?

Remember kiddies, manual weather is not useless. Back in my day, weather teams were GIMMICKS, dang it! :)
He should've sacked his sleeping Ninetails to get Sun in effect and revenge. Also, Swift Swim Ludicolo outspeeds Scarfed Adamant Victini. So either he's Banded Jolly, Banded Adamant, or Scarfed Adamant. He's definitely not Assault Vest (my personal favourite), or Surf would've left him at 20% or so.

I've seen the WhirlpoolSong Azumarill showcased on one of DunDealShowdown's video. It works surprisingly well, using Azumarill's bulk. However, the set is suboptimal.

I was going to save this replay at turn 34.... then came back and saw turn 37....and 38...
It was stupid on both sides though. Why did the +6 Atk Aegislash didn't just Shadow Sneak it?

The funniest thing? A player with Jasmine avatar... faced a monotype Steel.
