90BP | 100% Acc | Physical | Poison | 32 PP | Same flags as Poison Fang
If this move is resisted by the opponent, it Toxic Poison's it

Role: Has a great type, 120 Spd, 115 Atk with 2 great STABs in Gunk Shot/Rabies Bite and Brave Bird, and an ehh coverage movepool with stuff like CC and Crunch, as well as an interesting combination of Rabies Bite + Merciless to pass through resists that attempt to stop it through its type, as well as CC for steel types, and Parting Shot to pivot, it makes for an interesting physical wallbreaker and status spreader, balanced out by weak defenses

Flavor: A flying squirrel with rabies, will probably draw if it wins

Role: Offensive pivot and sweeper, with an amazing defensive profile, with one of the best defensive types in the game, boosted even further by Volt Absorb, access to solid coverage in Leaf Blade, Psycho Cut and Stone Edge, and pivoting with U-Turn, and can boost with SD, combined with its solid 115 Spd and 105 Atk, it can be a very threatening sweeper
Flavor: Chainsaw beaver :) Since the first part in the castorocauda's name is castor, which is beaver in spanish, and since both the castorocauda and beavers are semiacuatic mammals, they are probably related, and beavers cut down trees, just like chainsaws, so its a castorocauda with beaver features that has a chainsaw-like features on its hands and head that sure sounds familiar, will probably draw if it wins

Flavor: Volatycoon dominated the skies of it's era, not allowing anything else free jurisdiction over their area of influence. How they managed this feat? They swarmed anything they sea and bite them to death. Bugs were their favourite meal. They came to their demise when aerial predators arose that were simply too ferocious for Volatycoon to face.

I wanted it to primarily function as a fast pivot with quite a few utility options at it's disposal, instead of as a wallbreaker. It does that with oddles of options, from Scald to Rapid Spin to Stealth Rock. You name it, Castorpedo can do it.

Role: Great Tusk mini (forma de Spikes). Solid physbulk with Fur Coat allows it to eat some hits, but a lack of recovery and defensive utility means you'll still mainly want to run it offensively.
Flavor: Castorocauda was one of the first known mammalians to readapt to aquatic life, as well as one of the first with a fur pelt (hence Fur Coat). They were also known to be good at digging.

Movepool Changes:
  • Bite, Crunch, Jaw Lock, Knock Off, Thief, Nuzzle, Spark, Thunder Fang, Zing Zap, Acrobatics, Aerial Ace, Pluck, Covet, Cut, Facade, Fury Swipes, Slash, Super Fang, Tail Slap, Take Down, Astonish, Shadow Claw, Shadow Sneak, Bullet Seed, Cross Poison, Poison Jab, Psychic Fangs, Iron Tail

Description: A little bugger that is unassuming, but becomes a sudden menace once it gets tailwind, with its relatively good attack stat and slightly above average speed getting a big boost from the combo of Wind Rider and Tail Wind. Dark and electric in conjunction with flying make for near perfect coverage and defensively it ain't bad either, take 5 resistances and an immunity for 4 weaknesses- sure, said weaknesses are a bit of a problem, but it's an otherwise pretty good deal if I say so myself. Could try and make use of Beast Boost, because as the meta currently stands it does actually have the stats to try and take advantage of it. Support is also a plausible role it can take, given its variety of moves for said support, though that said I'm not sure how effective it'd be.

Both an ancestor to Emolga and the Zigzagoon line, this terror of the trees takes off from these vantage points to get the jump on its prey, which it will subdue with several jolts of electricity. Gulight are high-energy kleptomaniacs always looking for a new experience, most often just being the next highest spot one can find. In terms of body structure they're much closer to the modern day Emolga, however they have the coarse, ragged and stripped fur of Zigzagoon, with a mask pattern to boot, furthermore it has long, gnarly claws which it uses to scale the trees they glide from, and jagged teeth for properly securing and ripping up its meals.

The name is a weird combination of "glide" and "night" that coincidentally forms to have "light" in the name, with a "u" being placed in between to make it more seamless and sound like a butchered saying of "good night". As for most choices, they simply came from what I learned about the animal and also some minor inspiration hear and there from Emolga and Zigzagoon, with the latter being cause the real little guy looks a bit like a raccoon to me, it mainly being the eye marks and tail stripes. Beast Boost isn't really meant to be seriously used, rather mostly just an addition in reference to the scientific name volaticotherium antiquum meaning "ancient gliding beast".

Description: The otter here is a mean lean green killing machine, sporting what is effectively triSTABs on top of a fantastic attack stat and speed equal to [its (probably) natural predator cause good grief is the type AND stat match-ups are bad] Kabutops, it will rip up the opposition. It has great attack options in the likes high power moves such as Power Whip, Superpower, and Aqua Tail, while having just as practical moves like Leaf Blade, Drain Punch, Aqua Cutter, and Aqua Jet, alongside good supporting moves such as Flip Turn, Knock Off, and Bulk Up (which is also great for its defensive profile) and useful coverage options like Zen Headbutt for KOing the Poison-types which threaten it before than can do so themselves and Poison Jab and Ice Punch, which can help it when fighting against opposing bulky Grass-types. On the defensive side, it's not all too bad for Sevhip, they have great physical bulk, although in exchange they have horrid special bulk, but they can also sustain themselves on Leech Seed and the aforementioned Drain Punch, furthermore their hidden ability Water Bubble, which grants them their third pseudo-STAB, also makes them take neutral against Fire-types- though on that note, they still do have several weaknesses, most notably their 4x to Flying, though they do get many useful resistances in exchange for the slew of the weaknesses.

Anyways, looking like a fusion of a Dewott and a particularly scruffy Bibarel that were dipped in green and teal paints, Sevhips are known as the wardens of the ocean. They dual wield seaweed whips that when not in use are wrapped around their waists. Name is a combination of "sea" and "whip".

Three issues here. Firstly, this mon is too powerful with Drizzle. Please remove that ability. Secondly, you will not be given the opportunity to update the movepool after submissions close, so please do it now if you intend to do so. Thirdly, you need to list the category (Physical or Special) and PP of the custom move.

Pretty small amount of vetos this time. In 24 hours or once all vetos have been corrected, voting will begin.

Vetoes are done, so it's voting time! Refer to rules here:

  • Each Pokémon will be voted for separately.
  • There is no limit on the amount of submissions you can vote for. First Place will count for 3 points, Second Place for 2, and all others will count for 1 point. If you only vote for two submissions in a category, First Place will count for 2 points and Second Place will count for 1 point. If you only vote for one submission in a category, that vote will only count for 1 point.
  • Self Votes may not be First Place, and have a limit of 6 points total.

Anyways I’m bored and here’s thoughts on what we have so far

:aerodactyl: probably the best Mon in the tier as of now, it’s fast, hits literally everything exept lapras for at min 50% with poltergeist, and shuts down some phys mons with wisp. We did however get goldoco which theoretically is ok vs it

:omastar: cringe regen, it really can’t accomplish too much exept being fat and passive. Knock can also be bad if you are running aero. It also is a momentum sink

:kabutops: good, it’s fast, hits hard and has pivot moves with regen. It doesn’t suffer vs anything other than the previously mentioned momentum sink omastar, and it hits everything in the tier for neutral damage.

:Cradily: no longer necessary due to access to lapras, but poison heal and good bulk make it an exellent aero check. It also can check meganium with special investment theoretically. It’s decent

:Armaldo: curse of mid graaaaaahhh. It’s just not the greatest Mon, with it being a momentum sink and a suboptimal defensive typing, even if it is ok on some matchups. The only advantage it has is that it is pretty good vs the other ground type, and has spin. This doesn’t make it good enough imo

:heliolisk: ate speed cringe. It’s great offensively and nothing checks it defensively imo due to fire lash and wisp immunity

:lapras: the water type. It now has flip knock scald and recover. It also is the best bulky water due to these factors imo. Its basically good into everything due to knock and scald, and can flip to another defensive answer for meganium and helio

:meganium: the only Pokémon that walls this Pokémon is itself. Punk rock + cm is very nasty and hard to wall with effectively 2 110 (?) stabs and boosted boomburst. The only saving grace is no recovery on it, so chip is needed to beat this

Alticombat: I really like this Mon, but I now realize it needs an attack raise, because it really is walled by pretty much everything defensive minus Armaldo. But then again it has knock so it’s viable

Brawlutura: this is just great tusk minus spin plus spikes. The only good thing about it is the fact it is a better ground than armaldo

Goldoco : me when gag mon. I think it’s fine but gag is inherently cringe and we will see hazard stack pretty soon

SLATE 4- Jurassic Park (Rampardos, Bastiodon, Carracosta, Archeops, Tyrantrum, Aurorus)

Fossil reworks are back! For this slate, we'll be covering fossil Pokémon introduced in generations 4 through 6. The rules for submission are as follows:
  • You can sub 1 to 6 of the Pokémon chosen in this slate (reworks on existing pre-evolutions can also be made if you want).
  • Now that we have some mons in the meta, make sure to compare your submission to what already exists to help gauge its power and ensure you're not outclassing anything.
  • Custom Elements are allowed, as long as they have something different from already existing abilities/moves and are relatively simple to code (no custom field effects - we're learning from last gen lol. Also, if you think it's codable but our coder disagrees, then you'd better be prepared to code it yourself if it wins.)
  • Any Pokemon not currently in Generation 9 will instead use its Generation 8 movepool minus dexited moves (aka moves that are unusable in SV).
