I'm assuming gimmicky form-changing 'mons and pre-evos of an existing Pokemon which also gets a regional form for this region count, right? Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong on any of them. Anyway...

The Rotten Tooth Pokémon
Each of its fangs contains a poisonous gland in its core. The poison eats away at the hard outside of its fangs, which is painful to it.
Its small size belies a potent venom which dissolves flesh and stinks like curdled milk. Its bright colors warn of its dangerous nature.

Flavor/Design:
This bipedal creature somewhat resembles Charmander, but with a more slender, serpentine body and a longer neck. With a height of 2 feet, 5 inches and a weight of 16 pounds, it has dark purple patterning around its shoulders and upper back resembling a leather vest, with matching dark purple bands around the elbows and knees, the mottled edging resembling the markings of a Gila monster, which this design is based on. Its long-snouted, somewhat Seviper-like head is magenta-colored with a mohawk-like, jagged-edged frill on the top of its head; bright red with a dark purple edge, it flares upward and forward as a threat display. Its lower body is also magenta, though the latter half of its tail is the same purple as the upper torso with an Ekans-like rattle on the end, except red-colored. It has three white claws on each hand and foot, and is able to go on four legs as well as two. There are two large fangs, white in color but tipped with dark purple like diseased teeth, protruding from the front of its upper jaw; two smaller but still sharp white fangs are also concealed near the front of the lower jaw. Its eyes are a vivid acid green with slitted pupils, with dark purple "eyeshadow" under them. Its broad, forked tongue is the same green color as the eyes. In the shiny sprite, the dark purple is replaced with black, the red with bright purple, the magenta with orange, and the green with yellow.

Gameplay Info:
Merciless to everybody and rotten to the core (of its teeth, that is), Detripile's specialty is debuffing opponents and giving them hell while they're vulnerable. Both of its abilities are associated with a status effect of some kind, with Merciless giving it some extra bite against opponents it's already poisoned, and Stench giving it a chance to flinch an opponent and shut down any attack they were preparing. Of course, the RNG and unreliability of flinching half the time means it's probably best to use Merciless, but with a rather high special attack for an unevolved Pokémon, it's able to make use of such dangerous Rock- and Poison-type moves as Meteor Beam, Sludge Bomb, and Venoshock, and to great effect. As coverage options, it also knows several Ground-type moves to take care of Steel-types such as Earth Power and a breedable Mud Bomb, and its relationship to Heliolisk gives it access to several Electric attacks to counter Water-types, while Dark Pulse and Signal Beam are useful against Psychic - but nothing in its repertoire is useful against Ground, leaving it vulnerable to Earthquake and such. It does get both Volt Switch and U-turn as escape options in case things get hairy, and some fun support stuff like Taunt, Thief, Quash, and the ever-useful Toxic, but there are faster Little Cup 'mons out there and if not for reliable team support, especially against Ground-types, a nasty toothache will soon be the least of Detriptile's problems.

Evolves at Level 35 into...

The Toxic Tooth Pokémon
While Detriptile used its poison for defense, its evolution employs it to attack. It injects its venom through the rotten holes in its teeth, but can also spray it over a considerable distance.
Due to the constant pain in its fangs, it has a brash, nasty attitude. When it spreads its frills to show off their vivid patterns, that means it's agitated and about to unleash a vicious assault.

Name Origin: Pernicious + Noxious
Type: Poison/Dark
Abilities: Merciless (HA Stench)
Stats: 60 HP/90 ATK/75 DEF/90 SP ATK/75 SP DEF/120 SPD = 510
Level-Up Moves: Same as Detriptile, but with added starting moves Glare, Astonish, and Toxic Shock, and added moves Cross Poison (51), Brutal Swing (55), and Belch (60).
Notable TMs: Same as Detriptile.

Flavor/Design:
Fully evolved, Pernoxious stands at 5 feet, 4 inches tall with a weight of 120 pounds, looking for all the world like a cross between a vintage theropod and a venomous serpent. It is normally bipedal, its spine mostly horizontal but with its long torso and the first half of its longer tail slanting slightly downward so its long, three-clawed, Charizard-like arms almost touch the ground, but it can either rear up 'til its back is nearly vertical, the better to aim its toxic spit, or drop down and slither on all fours to move faster, crawling along like the big lizard it is. Its long, slender neck is flexible and serpentine, normally held in an upright S-curve so its head is held high; said head resembles a cross between those of Seviper and Aerodactyl, with an overall shape like the former, albeit more elongated, and the lower jaw of the latter, saw-like fangs and all, though it isn't quite as deep and has a weaker bite force. The eyes are like Seviper's but positioned more towards the front of the face than the back. The back part of the head is a vivid acid-green, the front half is black (including around the eyes like a ski mask), and the lower jaw is maroon. It has two enormous long fangs near the front of its upper jaw, shaped like Walrein's tusks more than anything else, but as with the pre-evolution they have a gradient to black towards the ends, and near the tip of each is a hole with a green interior... which is the outlet for its foul, caustic venom which it sprays when using Sludge Bomb or other projectile poison attacks. It has three red teardrop-shaped spikes like a punk mohawk on the top of its head, increasing in size going towards the front, and on either side of the back of the head is a pair of membranous frills, normally folded flush against the neck and looking like a red side-stripe on each side, but capable of flaring out to a near-semicircular shape with jagged purplish black edges and a frightening pattern of several black eyespots with green centers; the slit-pupiled eyes and forked tongue are this same shade of green as well. A row of three more red spikes runs down the back of the torso (the frontmost being the longest as with the head), four more shorter spikes form a ring around a fleshy black "collar" at the base of its neck, and there is a matching arrowhead-shaped red sting at the tip of the Pokémon's tapering tail, which normally swoops low to the ground before turning gracefully upward in a second S-curve. The powerful back legs are bird-like with three clawed toes on its long, slender, digitigrade feet, whose black color all the way up to the ankle gives the impression of knee-high boots; the forearms and hands are also black to invoke leather gloves. The front half of its torso is black, and this and the spiked "collar" both invoke a punk leather jacket; this along with the "boots" and "gloves" are separated from the rest of the body color by bands of acid-green, with the hand and foot claws being white in color. The remaining body color is maroon, and on both the neck and tail are patterns of three bands, the outer two being green and the middle one being black; the end of the tail also has a green band and then a black one before ending with red and the dragon-like tail sting.

The shiny palette replaces the maroon with bright red, the red with purple, and the green with yellow, giving it an overall look like an eastern coral snake, which the patterning for this 'mon was inspired by.

Gameplay Info:
Gifted with more balanced offensive stats and a much-needed boost of speed, Pernoxious is now a swift and deadly predator, better built to capitalize upon its ability to spread debuffs and cause mass chaos. Though its Stench ability still has the potential to stop incoming attacks with a flinch status, it was previously noted to be unreliable, and so its best bet ability-wise is Merciless. Since its physical attack is now an even match with its special, strong physical attacks like Crunch, Brutal Swing, Gunk Shot, and Cross Poison are now at its disposal. Its increased speed also makes it far better at using status moves like Taunt, Thunder Wave, Stealth Rock, Encore, and especially Toxic, the latter of which works alongside Merciless to enable it to unleash a venomous assault on one unlucky target... so long as its prey isn't immune to poison status. Steel-types especially remain a problem as they can wall its Poison attacks while hitting it super-effectively, but they aren't too much of an issue now that it can make good use of Earthquake. Its biggest concern though, and its only type weakness, is Ground-types and, alas, it still has no means of taking them on and will be unable to use Volt Switch to flee from them, forcing it to rely on U-turn which is more easily resisted despite its own utility... that, and its general fraility means it'll probably go down to a single Earthquake anyway.

This line was originally based on the Uatchitodon, a late Triassic archosauriform reptile whose fossils were found in the United States, both in Virginia and in Arizona. I'm not sure if the latter is close enough to the states Desvega is based on but I probably shouldn't worry too much when we have a T. rex in France haha. In any case, Uatchitodon is only known from isolated teeth, and notably there was a groove in them that was similar to that of venomous lizards like the Gila monster, which led to the hypothesis that this animal was venomous itself, making it the earliest venomous reptile known. I'm not sure how likely that is since no known archosaurs have a venomous bite, and many supposed pieces of evidence of venom from fossilized teeth and skulls have since been found to actually be deformities and fossilization artifacts anyway, but I figured it'd be fun to take a shot at a toxic saurian as the fossil land predator of the duo. Although this line didn't win the fossil slate, it was easy to repurpose it as something that can be found normally with a type change and make it into a straight Gila monster fakemon (since Gila monsters can be found in Nevada's Mojave desert), though the movie-monster-dinosaur influence with the evolution remains the same as noted below.

One other thing I've come to like about the Poison type more recently is that almost every two-stage Pokémon of this type embodies it in a different way, from venom to paint fumes to car exhaust, so to avoid a straight repeat of a venomous animal and to pay homage to the aforementioned idea of fossilized tooth deformities being mistaken for venom glands and grooves, I worked in a theme of tooth decay, as though these guys are literally weaponizing their own tooth diseases. The evolved form, meanwhile, is essentially a do-over of my very first art submission to the Create-A-Pokémon forum on Smogon, which was based on a mix of punk fashion and the famously inaccurate depiction of Dilophosaurus in Jurassic Park, with a neck frill and venomous spit that are in no way based on any fossil evidence at all. To make this new version a little more distinct, I gave it a more snake-like look a la Vertigo from Primal Rage, seeing as this is an archosaur trying its damndest to be a squamate, and mixed in traits of a coral snake for the evolved form to add to the exotic factor. I'm really happy with this line, all in all, and if it manages to win, I hope it'll make a beautiful, but deadly addition to the Desvegan fakedex!

The original version of this design was previously submitted to the art subs for Create-A-Pokémon #21. Details here!

The Bitumen Pokémon
Smoldering Form:
A massive bird Pokémon that scavenges from tar pits, its feathers are covered in viscous slime. While this sticky mass is difficult to clean, it makes an effective barrier against the teeth and claws of its enemies.
It is one of the largest bird Pokémon ever to take to the air, but as long as its feathers are soaked with tar, it won't be able to get off the ground. It hates getting wet, though, and refuses to let itself be cleaned.

Ignited Form:
When it ignites the volatile compounds stored in its coat, it can create its own thermals and soar high into the sky. It was once heavily hunted for these same compounds, which were valued as a fuel source.
Its mighty wings cast the land in shadow as it hunts for prey from the air, gliding on the warm air currents its feathers produce. By igniting the tar covering its body, it can unleash devastating firestorms.

Name Origin: Tarmac + Condor
Type: Fire/Poison
Abilities: Thermal Lift*
When the Pokémon uses a Fire-type attack or a move that can inflict a burn, it changes into its Ignited form. It returns to its Smoldering form upon taking super-effective damage.

At the start of a match, Tarmacondor will be in its Smoldering Form, which reduces any incoming damage from contact moves by 50%. When in its Ignited Form, Tarmacondor is immune to Ground-type moves, but receives no incoming damage cut. If it switches out when in its Ignited form and switches back in, it will be in its Smoldering Form.

Flavor/Design:
A colossal bird Pokemon and perhaps one of the largest to have ever flown, Tarmacondor ironically spends much of its time on the ground, taking to the air only when necessary - its 8-foot-tall, 308-pound body is hard to get off the ground, after all. It relies on soaring flight thanks to the ability to create its own thermals by setting its tar-soaked plumage on fire, and flaps its gigantic wings only rarely to conserve energy; to attack, it simply drops down onto its prey or opponent like a fiery meteor, talons-first. Its overall appearance, apart from scale, is not unlike its cousin Braviary, though its head is much larger relative to the body and its neck is longer though still heavily muscled; like Mandibuzz, however, its neck and face are bald. If anything, it's like you took the neck and head of a terror bird the size of a T. rex and attached it to the body of an oversized eagle with a wingspan as wide as a personal aircraft. Its legs and feet are thick with muscle, resembling those of Tyrantrum more than any bird, but it retains four toes on each dark red-brown, scaly foot with one facing back and every single one of them bearing an enormous black claw. Its feathers are absolutely caked with thick, purplish-black tar, which forms a gloopy covering like Muk's body, though some of its burning feathers, which glow a vivid orange, stick out from the tar arbitrarily. The flight feathers on its wings and its fan-shaped tail are tar-free and have a luminous fiery pattern of bright yellow and red-orange, as though they were literally made of fire; the shape and patterning of these is akin to the wings of Galarian Moltres, though with more visible slotting like an eagle's wing. Meanwhile, the top of the head has a crest of thinner feathers soaked with oily tar which makes them a purplish gray and drooping with a sort of "wet cat" look, drooping over its head like emo hair to obscure its face. There is also a white, starburst-shaped feather ruff at the base of the neck with wispy points tipped with yellow, almost like a cartoon sun. If the head feathers are parted, the facial skin is dark gray as though charred by a cartoon explosion, though the skin of its neck and head is otherwise a pale red, and its fierce orange eyes are still visible with a fierce glare when not covered by the head feathers. Its massive bill, meanwhile, has the same red-brown color as the feet, though curiously it has a scaly texture to it like Archen's; its shape is like that of a tomahawk, the downcurved cutting edge at the front being black like the talons, flowing smoothly into the hooked tip of the beak - allowing it to use its head like a battle-ax to chop its prey into pieces small enough to swallow.

All of the above, of course, is for Tarmacondor's Smothered form; in this form, it remains on the ground with its wings raised and spread wide to intimidate opponents, its tar dripping from its body with a thick, pudding-like consistency. When it attacks with an ability that triggers Thermal Lift, however, it takes to the air as the tar ignites into flame, its entire covering now a glowing red-orange with trails of fire flowing from wherever the stray feathers were sticking out. The neck and head feathers light up with a gradient from yellow closest to the skin to orange near their ends and closer to the torso, and they now flow upwards instead of downward with a flame-like shape like the wings, as though its whole head is on fire; its face skin is also now pitch-black from the sheer heat, and its eyes blaze solid white. It will remain in this ignited state as long as it is airborne, above the reach of Ground-type attacks. Only a super-effective Water-, Psychic-, or Rock-type move can shake off enough tar to stifle its heat-producing ability and send it plummeting, though it can also return to the ground voluntarily by switching out and then re-entering battle.

Gameplay Info: The main gimmick with this big bird is its form-change ability, which works in a similar manner to Aegislash's Stance Change, though with a broader set of moves and with different effects instead of changing its stats. The most important thing about Thermal Lift is the two immunities its Ignited Form provides, no-selling one of its double-weaknesses but still leaving it vulnerable to three other types - in particular, its 4X weakness to Water remains. If you don't feel confident in the contact damage cut of the Smoldering Form, it's important to have it use a Fire-type attack and get off the ground as fast as possible. Aside from the standard Rock and Fire fare, alongside Tar Shot which can work well with its Fire STAB especially, it can also learn a bunch of Flying, Steel, Rock, and Ground-type attacks as coverage, but Solar Beam is arguably your best bet since it's the only Grass-type attack it can learn and thus its only answer to Water. Sun team support would be invaluable, though it can also learn Sunny Day itself to set up Solar Beam more freely, on top of boosting its own special attack to better make use of Solar Beam with Nasty Plot. Be aware though that Tarmacondor is not a good switch-in against Ground despite the boon of its Ignited From, because it will be in its Smoldering Form whenever it enters battle, even after switching out. Needless to say, moves that force a switch like Dragon Tail or Roar are an absolute nightmare to it, especially with entry hazards like Spikes or Stealth Rock active.

The original plan I had for this design was actually a mammoth stuck in a tar pit or covered in burning tar, since I had to homage the La Brea Tar Pits with at least one of my fossil subs. However, Desvegan Mamoswine already did the tar mammoth thing, so while I still wanted to use the tar motif I had to base it off a different Pleistocene animal. The final version of this submission during Slate 11 was a teratorn fused with the tar it got stuck in because almost all the megafaunal mammals had already been used in a previous winning sub or someone else's submission, and I'm a bird enjoyer anyway and wanted something special; for this slate, I changed it into a California condor so it still abides by the rules and is no longer a fossil. There isn't much of a deeper theme aside from that, though this design also works as a visual pun on the phrase "tarred and feathered".

The Hairy Calf Pokémon
From birth, the hair on its head grows wildly, quickly falling over its face and making it harder to see. It quickly learns to compensate with a strong sense of smell.
Its long head hair often gets tangled and dirty from many adventures. It is immensely proud of its hair, however, and stubbornly refuses to let it be cleaned or trimmed.

Name Origin: Calf + Coiffure
Type: Normal
Abilities: Fur Coat, Sap Sipper, Soundproof (Hidden)
Stats: 55 HP/70 ATK/55 DEF/20 SP ATK/55 SP DEF/45 SPD = 300
Removed Moves: Giga Impact
Replacement Moves: N/A
New TMs/Tutors: All Ice-type TMs

Flavor/Design:
There aren't any calf Pokémon in canon so far, so here's one to hopefully pass a couple of Ice-type coverage moves to Unovan Bouffalant. It's basically a light brown, stylized bison calf, but already with a pair of large curved horns on its head like an adult bison, albeit with one ring on each instead of two. Most notably, the hair on its head (which is held higher than in the case of Bouffalant) is a big messy brownish black mop that cascades down almost to the ground, covering its eyes with only its light brownish-gray snout visible; large nostrils (Quickdraw McGraw-style) are at the end of the snout to sniff out its surroundings. Light red-brown stains can be seen on the ends of its locks of hair like Mudsdale has, and leaves are also scattered throughout it, with tangled cowlicks also protruding from arbitrary locations. If its hair is parted, such as when tossing its head sideways in some of its hypothetical animations, simple black dots for eyes like Clefairy's can be seen within.

Gameplay Info:
I don't have any competitive info thoughts for this little scrunkly because I designed it as literally an afterthought to go with Desvegan Bouffalant below, though maybe in LC it could basically be "Smol Bouffalant" or something? One thing I did take note of though is that Boufallant has only two options to reliably punish Grass-types with despite its main draw being Sap Sipper - Poison Jab, which isn't useful against Steels, and Megahorn, which as a Bug-type move gets resisted by a lot more types than desirable. The addition of Ice Hammer and Triple Axel to this line's repertoire might hopefully give it some extra anti-Grass punch and better neutral coverage overall, though Rock- and Steel-types will likely still stop it cold if it isn't packing a Fighting-type attack as well.

Evolves into Bouffalant upon level-up while learning a recoil move. If it evolves in Desvega, regardless of original location, it will become...

The Crash Buffalo Pokémon
It is believed to have descended from an ancestor of Unovan Bouffalant that arrived in Desvega during the ice age. The bony shield on its head is hard as bedrock, allowing it to deliver a headbutt that can reduce tall trees to splinters.
When fossils of its huge, stalagmite-like horns were first found, they were thought to belong to a late-surviving dinosaur. These Bouffalant clash over territory by locking horns, each combatant trying to hurl the other into the distance.

Type: Normal/Rock
Abilities: Rock Head, Sap Sipper, Soundproof (Hidden)
Stats: 95 HP/130 ATK/125 DEF/40 SP ATK/45 SP DEF/55 SPD = 490
Removed Moves: Technically none, but move Revenge, Reversal, Throat Chop, and Giga Impact to TMs or egg moves as applicable.
Replacement Moves: Ancient Power, Stone Edge, Body Press, Head Smash
New TMs/Tutors: Knock Off

Flavor/Design:
An ancient variety of Bouffalant that first evolved (in the scientific sense) just before the last ice age, it is thought that the modern form of this Pokemon first arose when the global temperature dropped and the climate where it once lived became more temperate, resulting in it growing a thick coat of fur on its head to keep warm. Before then, though, its head was protected by a massive shield of bone, thick enough around the braincase especially that nothing in the world during its day could break through it. The head plate was in turn covered in a sheath of solid quartzite, one of the hardest natural stone types and a common find across the real-world U.S. This rocky aegis extended and flared outward around the back of its head to form a massive shield of solid stone, a light blue-gray in color with several darker gray, slightly wavy stripes like rock strata. The shield was shaped like a half-circle when seen from the front, and curves slightly backward like a very wide, inverted, and incomplete cone of shame; smaller off-white spikes - which on further inspection are actually fossilized shells - decorated its edges, complemented by another one on its snout like a small rhino horn. Several more off-white shell fragments could also be seen scattered across the surface of the shield. Its brow horns were the same shape as Unovan Bouffalant, but they were gray instead of white, had white rings on them like the fossil shells instead of gold, and joined smoothly with the head shield; instead of sticking out to the side, they sharply curved in a more forward direction near the base, though each was still angled a bit towards its respective side, and then curved upwards a little less strongly towards the lethal tips. The center part of the shield, right above the forehead and between the brow horns, was also slightly domed, forming a cranial boss like a cape buffalo. The rest of the head and body shapes were largely unchanged shape-wise, except for the legs and feet being thicker, two-hoofed and more like Terrakion's legs. There was, however, a light gray rocky peak on the back hump resembling the top of a small mountain, complete with a white top like a snowy peak, along with some rocky plating on the shoulders to match. The fur was also blue roan instead of brown with a light blue-gray face, and thicker and shaggier than its modern relative, almost yak-like.

The shiny color scheme for this variant, as with some other regional variants, sported modern Bouffalant's color palette, but the headplate had a spectacular orange and red pattern like a sandstone cliff.

Gameplay Info:
Although Bouffalant has an ability that powers up recoil moves that should in theory synergize well with Head Charge, its main draw currently is Sap Sipper, which means it has no problem with setting up on and mowing down several Grass-type walls in its tier. Desvegan Bouffalant enjoys the same benefit, but with the added perk of being able to bait opponents into attempting to use a Grass attack on it since it now has a type weakness to them, because its other viable ability, Rock Head, works in conjunction with dual STAB on Head Charge and Head Smash, all of which is backed up by a frankly ridiculous attack stat. This duality means it'll be more of a challenge to predict the best way to try and stop it at any given moment, allowing for some fun mindgames that could potentially cost a careless opponent dearly. Be it Grass-immune or recoil-immune, though, this brutal bovine is otherwise a one-note beast, but a formidable one nonetheless; being a bit too slow for a proper sweep, it mainly exists to switch into and tank incoming physical damage before utterly fucking obliterating whichever poor sap was dumb enough to cross it. Its main failing is that its attack and defense are buffed at the expense of its special defense, and given that it is now doubly weak to Fighting, being hit by a single Focus Blast would be bad news Beartics for it, and even Sap Sipper sets will still have to watch out for the other three type weaknesses Rock adds to the typing. While Ground and Steel can still be countered respectively by any Ice moves it learned as a Calffure and whatever Ground or Fighting TMs it can learn, Water in particular is only countered by Wild Charge (which isn't unusable, but doesn't cover the other types that resist its STAB either), on top of bringing a lot of high-power special attacks to the table. Of note, Desvegan Bouffalant actually loses Throat Chop, the one answer its Unovan cousin has for Ghost-types, but it's able to learn Knock Off as a tutor move which is arguably even more effective - even if it would rather solve problems by simply smashing them, the added effect of hindering certain opponents that require specific items to even be viable at all would be much appreciated by something that can't afford any potential damper on its wallbreaking momentum.

Pokemon Shield: These Pokémon live in herds of about 20 individuals. Bouffalant that betray the herd will lose the hair on their heads for some reason.
I can appreciate Bouffalant from a gameplay standpoint and respect anyone who likes it as it is, but I personally can't get over its afro, especially given that it's practically its defining characteristic. To this end, I decided that for any variant of it, the 'fro just had to go, and a different means of protecting its head would have to take its place. Pulling from the weird and wild design choices of the past Paradox Pokemon, I based this variant not only on the extinct steppe bison, but also the horned dinosaur, Nasutoceratops, which has horns shaped like those of a bull already. With a ceratopsian head shield instead of an afro, this design is essentially an inverse of the first time Triceratops horns were found, since they were mistaken for those of a bison; seeing as many of the past Paradox 'mons are based on mammalian Pokemon but end up taking on dinosaurian traits, I figured this would make a fun callback to them on top of referencing a real misinterpretation from the early days of palaeontology.

While this design was originally submitted for the fossil slate, I figured that given the fact that a number of modern species can be said to have been holdovers from the ice age, including the bison itself, having it as a modern species simply stated to have evolved just before humans first appeared wouldn't have felt like too much of a stretch. Calffure meanwhile was added specifically for this slate to pad out this line and isn't based on anything deep in particular - moo moo scrunky is just bebe. :3

Silicuit is said to be an prototype built as "the next Porygon" by an ambitious inventor, but who sucumbed to poor health and was among the assets he sold. I imagine that you could rarely find them around like Gimmighoul, except they drop stuff like Big Nuggets instead of Gimmighoul coins and have a catch rate of Beldum; you'd be easier trying to raise the money to buy the antique Silicuit instead, which at least has 5 perfect IVs and is shiny.

Height + Weight: 1.5m + 82.5 kg
Flavour/Design: Now that it's been field-tested, Silicom is more life-like with a nimble and flexible metal skin and endoskeleton, able to perform a variety of moves that allow it to counter a variety of opponents.
The Silicom line is based on early computers, developed by Steve Jobs. It's also loosely based on Smeargle and Sketch, except more focused on Abilities.

Flavour/Design: A small, mangy, albiet cute puppy Pokemon resembling a stray mutt. The pelt is muddy; in fact people don't know if its body is covered in mud or made of mud. Small patches of grass cover this Pokemon's backside, hence why it can use Leech Seed. Looks like a blobby puppy overall. I imagine it to be like a stray dog that the friendly rival found alone on the street and decided to gift it to you.
Potential Competitive Role: Support Pokemon, has the unique trait of absorbing entry hazards combined with an impressive support movepool making it a solid support Pokemon despite mediocre defenses without Fur Coat.

Stats: 70 HP/110 ATK/65 DEF/100 SP ATK/65 SP DEF/90 SPD = 500

Notable Egg Moves: Iron Defense from Skarmory; Nasty Plot from Honchkrow; Flare Blitz from Talonflame; Belch from Cramorant; Rock Throw from Bombirdier (Flying)

Now that discussions have died down and problematic subs have been adjusted, we shall begin with the voting phase.

As a reminder, you can vote for up to five submissions, order doesn't matter. Self-votes are limited to one per user and permitted only if you have voted for at least another user’s submission beforehand; counterparts, as usual, must be voted together. Top three subs with the highest amount of votes will be gifted to Desvega. As is the norm, this will last for 48 hours, with a 24 hour warning from Samtendo.

Also, now that we're starting to get to the end of Desvega, another mandatory request to everyone who has a winning sub but still hasn't subbed a full movepool to please do so.

Since Beebos didn't do it, I will give my own opinions in 2-3 sentences each:

Casinova: In my opinion, the ability is conceptually broken. Its movepool is not that deep, so it may struggle because of limited coverage. If it can get ahead though, there likely won't be much stopping it.

Pantalien: One of the Pokemon that I voted for. It just seems like an overall solid attacker, and in the context of Desvega, it seems to fare well against some potential top threats. Its TM and move tutor list will be interesting to see, since the moves here are only Psychic and Fighting.

Silicom: With its stats and movepool, this Pokemon will always be a threat. It will be able to surprise opponents with all kinds of moves to make itself very unpredictable and I think that kind of dynamic is interesting.

Vipalm: Vipalm has some interesting and rare moves in Leech Seed, Coil and Glare, as well as more popular moves like Stealth Rock and Spikes but I think that Pitfall setting up lose-lose scenarios for the opponent is its main upside. With its bulk, it will be able to disrupt the opposing team relatively well or set up for itself. Its type is both a plus and minus though, on one hand, it is another bulky ground-type but on the other, it is a grass-type that doesn't resist water.

Majesoar: Of its trio, Majesoar is immediately the most threatening. It can boost its attack with Swords Dance (or Hone Claws) and its signature move Sky Rush, as well as its speed with its Speed Boost ability. However, it is similar to Casinova; this is not a "start winning" kind of Pokemon but rather a "win harder" one.

Pinnipoint: While it shares its typing with Divusion, Pinnipoint is specially oriented and will likely end up being a good Choice Specs or Scarf holder with moves like Galvanize boosted Hyper Voice, as well as Hydro Pump/Surf. Its signature move Bolt Burst on a Specs set could be useful early in a game to create holes in opposing defenses. Galvanize Extremespeed could also be cool despite its much lower attack stat.

Here it comes, the last non-extra Slate!

Slate 14 - Pseudo-Legendary and Minor Legendaries - The Other Powerhouses
:sv/tyranitar::sv/metagross::sv/suicune::sv/cobalion::sv/chi-yu:
A two-in-one slate, featuring powerful species of Pokémon.

Minor Legendary Pokémon, also known as Sub-Legendary Pokémon, are usually less powerful than boxart Legendaries, but are still quite a league of their own. The trainers must solve puzzles to find some, chasing others, or even find a hidden place. Wherever they are, they won’t go without a fierce fight when cornered.

Pseudo-Legendary Pokémon are an intriguing assemble of Pokémon that aren’t truly Legendary by any mean, but are capable to rival most of them, at least mechanically. They are difficult to find and take time to evolve the first and second stages of the evolutionary line, but the result can be worth it, as each of the fully evolved Pseudo-Legendary Pokémon have 600 BST with an usually solid stat distribution, alongside a large movepool, making them versatile powerhouses.

Pseudo-Legendary Rules
  • All submissions must be respective of the following BST range:
    • 300 BST or approximative for the first stage.
    • 420 BST or approximative for the second stage.
    • 600 BST, no higher and no lower, for the final stage.
    • Because of the high BST, please be sensible with the stat distribution. Something with 150 Attack and 120 Speed is very likely to get vetoed, even with a bad typing.
  • There’s no definitive rule on where your Pseudo-Legendary Pokémon can be found, only that they cannot be found in the very first route(s) of the game for in-game balancing reasons.
  • While Pseudo-Legendary Pokémon are usually Dragon-type, they do not have to be that type. You may even make a Pseudo-Legendary Pokémon out of a type you’d expect the least.
  • Up to two Pokémon as counterparts, and up to two submissions.
  • It cannot be a starter line (obviously), it cannot be cross-generational to an old non-pseudo-Pokémon (brenched evolution to old pseudo-legend is fine, though unprecedented), but it can be a regional variant or convergent (lookalike) of an existing pseudo-legendary line.
Minor-Legendaries Rules
  • All minor legendaries have a range of 550-600, though most have a BST of 570 or 580.
  • While not required, it is recommanded to your submissions to share a type, or share an Ability or have similar ones.
  • They also must share a common theming, or have conflicting with theming.
  • Each submission can be a solo, a duo, a trio or a quartet.
  • Your submissions can either have a connection to the Boxart Legends, or have their own lore, but they must have to do with the lore of the Desvega region.
  • Up to two submissions allowed per user.
The submission phase will lasts for six days, with around 24 hour of veto phase. Only the top first submissions may win, and only up to two tied firsts.

PSEUDO-LEGENDARY SUBMISSION:

Modified resub from Slate 11:

The Sharp Nose Pokémon
The last living member of an ancient lineage from the dinosaur era. It uses the metal blade upon its snout to slash and stab at prey.
Despite its fish-like appearance, it is actually an aquatic reptile. It has a friendly nature, but its pointy nose is not to be underestimated.

Name Origin: Gladius + Ichthyosaurus
Type: Water/Steel
Abilities: Sharpness (HA Rain Dish)
Stats: 60 HP/60 ATK/60 DEF/35 SP ATK/55 SP DEF/90 SPD = 300
Level-Up Moves: Quick Attack (1), Aqua Jet (1), Ancient Power (6), Water Pulse (10), Aqua Cutter (15), Slash (19), Smart Strike (24), Agility (28), Saw Blade* (33), Liquidation (37), X-Scissor (42), Swords Dance (46)
Name: Saw Blade
Type:

Category:

Base Points: 60
Power Points: 40
Accuracy: 95
Miscellaneous: Makes contact, boosted by Sharpness
Effect: Deals damage with an increased critical hit ratio (Air Cutter clone)
Distribution: Common among Steel-types with bladed parts
Notable TMs: All fully universal TM/Tutor moves + Work Up, Roar, Hail, Bulk Up, Ice Beam, Blizzard, Rain Dance, Safeguard, Aerial Ace, Low Sweep, False Swipe, Scald, Stealth Rock, Quash, Acrobatics, Zen Headbutt, Stone Edge*, Iron Head, Swords Dance, Rock Slide, Megahorn, Dragon Tail, U-turn, Surf, Nature Power, Waterfall, Dazzling Gleam, After You, Body Press, Bounce, Breaking Swipe, Double-Edge, Hydro Pump, Hyper Voice, Icy Wind, Knock Off, Outrage, Power Gem, Revenge, Super Fang, Superpower, Water Pulse, Steel Beam
Notable Egg Moves: Flip Turn from Finizen; Razor Shell from Drednaw; Wave Crash from Finizen or Dondozo (Monster and Water 2)

Flavor/Design:
A cute baby reptilian fish-mimic, this little skrunkly is 4 feet long, 60 pounds in weight, and looks like a bizarre cross between a swordfish and some long-snouted lizard, with overall proportions akin to Finizen. It has a torpedo-like shape, a tall dorsal fin on its back, and a vertical, crescent-shaped tail fin rather than a horizontal one. It is countershaded in your typical sea-creature fashion, with a light green topside and an underbelly, tail fin, and a pattern of spots on its sides that are all a pale pastel green in hue; the shiny instead has steel gray and white in these respective areas. Its four teardrop-shaped flippers are positioned where a lizard's limbs would be, the front pair being twice as big as the back pair; the front flippers also have two metallic gray spikes on the back edge like the claws on a seal's flipper. Its head is its most prominent feature, with large, adorable red eyes and a long snout with several sharp teeth in its mouth; there are also two small, slitted nostrils are just in front of its eyes. Most notable is the narrow, steel-gray plate upon the flattened top of its rather rowboat-prow-shaped head, which extends down the top of the upper jaw and somewhat beyond, forming a vertically flattened, knife-like blade; two shorter, similarly flattened metallic spikes jut out on either side of the headplate at the base of the snoot, invoking the hilt of a sword when seen from above. This is what it uses to slash and stab at prey and enemies alike, though it has an easygoing and friendly demeanor most of the time.

Gameplay Info:
Gladichthus is primarily a fast physical attacker, its decent attack power being boosted by Sharpness which means its main STAB moves, Aqua Cutter and Stone Edge, are solid attacking options, although with a boosted Flip Turn it can also be used as a skirmisher on Rain teams. It has decent HP and physical defense as well, but its special attack and defense are lacking, and having no Ground-type attacks and thus no answers to Electric-types can spell bad news without the right team support.

* Stone Edge is now boosted by Sharpness.
Evolves at Level 33 into...
The Saw-Nose Pokémon
Upon evolution, its snout-blade develops spiked edges that enhance its cutting power. This means it can go for longer without having to re-sharpen it.
It is now strong enough to clash with the deadliest of sea beasts. Its rivalry with Sharpedo led to an old legend about how it sliced its hated foe in half.

Name Origin: Serrated + Temnodontosaurus
Type: Water/Steel
Abilities: Sharpness (HA Rain Dish)
Stats: 70 HP/75 ATK/75 DEF/60 SP ATK/65 SP DEF/75 SPD = 420
Level-Up Moves: Same as Gladicthus, but with added starting move Aqua Tail, and added moves Night Slash (51) and Iron Head (55).
Notable TMs: Same as Gladicthus.

Flavor/Design:
A larger and fiercer-looking ichthyosaur with proportions more akin to a great white shark, Serratodon is so named because its snout, which is a bit longer proportionally, now has spikes on the edges like those of a sawfish which enhance the power of its slashing attacks. The lower jaw is a bit longer now, with several sharp teeth on each side of it. Its body is now shaped more like that of a tuna, vertically deep with a narrow sideways width and a short but strong tail with a crescent-shaped fin. It is now a darker sea-green with the same pastel-green underbelly and more spots along its back, giving it a mottled appearance; the shiny likewise has a darker gray shade to the upper body, though still with a slight bluish tint. There are three spikes on each front flipper now, and each rear flipper also possesses a smaller spike, though the dorsal fin remains unadorned. Finally, it still retains its round red eyes, but they are fiercer-looking and with smaller pupils making them look like Barraskewda's; they're smaller relative to the body, but still impressively large overall. It is now 10 feet long, and weighs in at 250 pounds.

Gameplay Info:
Similar to Gladicthus, Serratodon relies on speed and physical attack power in combat, with Sharpness turning two of its STAB moves into decent attacking options. It is slower than its predecessor, however, meaning it may have to rely a bit more on items or moves that boost its speed (fortunately, this line naturally learns Agility), though being able to inherit Flip Turn allows it to serve as a decent scout and pivot in a pinch, too.
Evolves at Level 52 into...
The Sea Monster Pokémon
It attacks prey and ships alike with its long upper jaw, whose stalactite-like fangs can cleave a seamount in half with a single swipe. It is a frequent enemy in the folktales of sailors.
Because of its massive size, it has trouble chasing after prey. Instead, it will wait for a victim to come within reach, and then rush forward to shred it to pieces with its saw-like snout.

Name Origin: Shonisaurus + Saw + Sword
Type: Water/Steel
Abilities: Sharpness (HA Rain Dish)
Stats: 120 HP/120 ATK/120 DEF/75 SP ATK/105 SP DEF/60 SPD = 600
Level-Up Moves: Same as Serratodon, but with added starting moves Iron Defense and Razor's Edge*, and added move Heavy Slam (60).
Name: Razor's Edge
Type:

Category:

Base Points: 65
Power Points: 24
Accuracy: 90
Miscellaneous: Makes contact, boosted by Sharpness
Effect: Sets up sharp steel a la G-Max Steelsurge on the enemy side of the field (Stone Axe clone)
Distribution: Signature move of Shonisawrd
Notable TMs: Same as Gladicthus and Serratodon.

Flavor/Design:
Now as big as a Steelix, reaching a whopping 30 feet long and tipping the scales at around 860 pounds, this leviathan of the ancient seas now looks more like a giant shark than a dolphin. Now with a very dark blue-green back and the same pastel green belly and tail fin color as its preevos (respectively a very dark blue-gray and white in the shiny), it still has four flippers with metallic spikes like claws, but their shape is more like the pectoral fins of a shark, and there are now four spikes per front flipper, making them look midway between fins and feet, and two per back flipper (i.e. all four have spikes now). It loses the tall dorsal fin of the previous two stages, but there is now a single row of five short, triangular blades of rock like the plates of a cartoon dinosaur running down the spine. The tail fin itself is still crescent-shaped, but has a pointed fleshy lobe in its middle to invoke the shape of a trident. As for the head, it is still flat-topped but now has more robust but still long, toothy jaws like a mix of shark and crocodile, and smaller and fiercer-looking crimson eyes shaded by the larger, broader metallic head plate, which is still sword-shaped when seen from above, but now with a massive, broad "blade" like a claymore. Along the otherwise blunt edges of the blade are two rows of vicious, bladed teeth shaped like flint arrowheads with a gray color and a lustrous sheen, with the very tip sporting such a tooth in the middle as the ending point. In fact, the whole "point" of this fearsome weapon was that it dispatched prey with it like some colossal sawfish, using sideways swings of its head coupled with short bursts of speed to shred sea beasts as big as itself to ribbons. It would also turn that same armament upon others of its kind over territory, as indicated by numerous scars and slash marks instead of spots on its back and sides, though they are still the same light color as its belly.

Gameplay Info:
Sacrificing its speed for massive amounts of HP, this is one of the largest and heaviest Pokémon to have swum the seas this side of a Wailord, and despite being much slower than its pre-evo, it's still a devastating fighter. Sharpness now works in conjunction with Razor's Edge to not only rip apart the opposition but set up sharp steel to further agonize anyone who dares to face it. Alternatively, it keeps Rain Dish as its Hidden Ability, and this is more useful to it because when on Rain teams, the free healing means it has less of an issue unleashing some absolutely devastating Wave Crash attacks, with a side of STAB Heavy Slam just for the heck of it. Coverage includes a lot of the Ice-type moves that Water-types can learn to deal with Ground-type attackers and Aerial Ace to deal with Fighting-types and give it some much-needed priority, though it still has no Ground-type moves that can address Electric-types that can seriously threaten it. The aforementioned hefty HP and solid physical defense are useful for trading hits with physical attackers, particularly with a setup move such as Agility or Swords Dance, but its special stats are still almost as paltry as its Speed; hit it with a good solid super-effective special attack or two, and it might as well go belly-up.

The Finizen line is a fun one and I appreciate its concept for what it is, but it just isn't for me in part because I feel I'd have been more invested in a dolphin Pokemon that leaned more into the brutal reputation dolphins have increasingly gotten, with fearsome teeth and a gnarly scarred hide. I still wanted that idea but didn't want it too many comparisons to Palafin, so instead of a dolphin, I based this line on the next best thing: an ichthyosaur! For reference, this was a clade of marine reptiles from the Mesozoic that are often stated in literature to have evolved convergently to dolphins - there are after all only so many ways to be a speedy aquatic hunter.

As with the previous time I subbed this line, Gladichthus is based on the classic Ichthyosaurus, while Shonisawrd is based on Shonisaurus, the state fossil of Nevada and one of the largest ichthyosaurs known. I decided to spice things up by mixing in a modified version of a prompt from DinoBrian47's 94 Water-Type Pokemon Prompts/Concepts on DeviantArt, which was a fossilmon based on the Eurhinosaurus, a more bizarre ichthyosaur with an elongated upper jaw lined with teeth like a sawfish, along with traits of swordfish and actual sawfish; much as I like many of the existing fossil Pokémon, they tend to adapt the real animal almost one-to-one rather than mixing in weirder traits from multiple species. The typing was changed to Water/Steel and middle stage added in specifically for this slate - Serratodon is specifically based on Temnodontosaurus, another large, predatory ichthyosaur from the early Jurassic albeit not quite as big as Shonisaurus. I figured something midway between a relatively small member of the clade and one of its biggest known representatives would help to smooth out the transition.

MINOR LEGENDARIES SUBMISSION:

Modified resub from Slate 11:

The Bitumen Pokémon
Smoldering Form:
A massive bird Pokémon that scavenges from tar pits, its feathers are covered in viscous slime. While this sticky mass is difficult to clean, it makes an effective barrier against the teeth and claws of its enemies.
It is one of the largest bird Pokémon ever to fly, but as long as its feathers are soaked with tar, it won't be able to get off the ground. Locals say the sight of it setting itself alight and taking wing is an omen of disaster.

Ignited Form:
When it ignites the volatile compounds stored in its coat, it can create its own thermals and soar high into the sky. It's said to hide away from humans because it was once heavily hunted as a potential fuel source.
Its mighty wings cast the land in shadow as it hunts for prey from the air, gliding on the warm air currents its fiery plumage produces. Legend has it that its flight once plunged all of Desvega into a terrible drought.

Name Origin: Tarmac + Teratorn
Counterpart: Leviatoll
Type: Fire/Poison
Abilities: Thermal Lift*
When the Pokémon uses a Fire-type attack or a move that can inflict a burn, it changes into its Ignited form. It returns to its Smoldering form upon taking super-effective damage.

At the start of a match, Tarmatorn will be in its Smoldering Form, which reduces any incoming damage from contact moves by 50%. When in its Ignited Form, Tarmatorn is immune to Ground-type moves, but receives no incoming damage cut. If it switches out when in its Ignited form and switches back in, it will be in its Smoldering Form.
Stats: 100 HP/135 ATK/75 DEF/125 SP ATK/75 SP DEF/90 SPD = 600
Level-Up Moves: Peck (1), Screech (1), Tar Shot (1), Fury Attack (5), Flame Charge (8), Agility (12), Smack Down (15), Wing Attack (19), Sludge Bomb (22), Poison Gas (26), Ancient Power (29), Incinerate (33), Drill Peck (37), Heat Crash (40), Cross Poison (44), Sludge Wave (47), Brave Bird (51)
Notable TMs: All fully universal TM/Tutor moves + Toxic, Venoshock, Sunny Day, Roost, Solar Beam, Smack Down, Earthquake, Flamethrower, Sludge Bomb, Sandstorm, Fire Blast, Rock Tomb, Aerial Ace, Helping Hand, Flame Charge, Overheat, Steel Wing, Stealth Rock, Will-O-Wisp, Acrobatics, Explosion, Shadow Claw, Brave Bird, Earth Power, Stone Edge, Swords Dance, Fly, Bulldoze, Retaliate, Rock Slide, Poison Jab, U-turn, Nature Power, Air Slash, Assurance, Body Press, Bounce, Defog, Double-Edge, Dual Wingbeat, Gunk Shot, Head Smash, Heat Wave, Hurricane, Knock Off, Meteor Beam, Power Gem, Revenge, Snatch, Spite, Tailwind
Notable Egg Moves: N/A (No Eggs Discovered)

Flavor/Design:
A colossal bird Pokemon and perhaps one of the largest to have ever flown, Tarmatorn ironically spends much of its time on the ground, taking to the air only when necessary - its 8-foot-tall, 308-pound body is hard to get off the ground, after all.

All of the above, of course, is for Tarmatorn's Smothered form; in this form, it remains on the ground with its wings raised and spread wide to intimidate opponents, its tar dripping from its body with a thick, pudding-like consistency.

Be aware though that Tarmatorn is not a good switch-in against Ground despite the boon of its Ignited From, because it will be in its Smoldering Form whenever it enters battle, even after switching out.

This entry was submitted three times before, once for the fossil slate and two more times for the free and gift slates (as "Tarmacondor"), but for this one I upped the stats a tad and got rid of its egg moves so it can come off as a miscellaneous "wild beast"-type Mythical in the vein of Zarude. In keeping with this, I brought back the original name for this slate sub as well.

The Enclave Pokémon
Surfaced Form:
A colossal marine Pokémon that's said to be one of the last of its kind. In constant search for companionship, it is drawn in by the sound of foghorns and sirens, but quickly loses its temper and summons devastating tidal waves.
Rarely, it can be seen on the surface of the sea, longing for the prehistoric era when it wasn't alone. In the early days of ocean exploration, unsuspecting sailors often mistook it for a small island - with disastrous results for everyone.

Submerged Form:
To retreat from the hustle and bustle of the surface world, it dives thousands of feet below the waves to hunt in solitude. Many deep-sea vehicles have attempted to track it during these journeys, but none thus far have returned intact...
Though it descends into the depths largely to be alone with its thoughts, it creates massive whirlpools upon submerging and stirs up tsunamis when surfacing. Legend has it that it once plunged all of Desvega into a catastrophic flood.

Name Origin: Leviathan + Atoll
Counterpart: Tarmatorn
Type: Water/Rock
Abilities: Deep Dive*
When the Pokémon uses a Water-type attack, it changes into its Submerged form. It returns to its Surfaced form upon taking super-effective damage.

At the start of a match, Leviatoll will be in its Surfaced Form, which reduces any incoming damage from non-contact moves by 50%. When in its Submerged Form, Leviatoll is immune to Grass-type moves, but receives no incoming damage cut. If it switches out when in its Submerged form and switches back in, it will be in its Surfaced Form.

Flavor/Design:
A massive, ancient cetacean, thousands of years old and a relic of a bygone era, Leviatoll rivals Wailord as the largest of all Pokemon, at a whopping 45 feet long, though at 1,570 pounds, it's several times heavier, owing to the sediment piled on its back. Its body shape is overall blimp-like, not unlike Wailord's, but its great head is wide and shaped like the prow of a cargo ship, with a cavernous maw full of huge, sharp teeth; essentially, think of Monstro the Whale from Disney's Pinocchio film and you'd have a good idea of what to expect. There are also two large tusks jutting from the front of the lower jaw, merging seamlessly with the lower jaw. Its small eyes just above the corners of its mouth are permanently closed and baggy to give it an elderly feel, and its pectoral flippers, which sport three claws like a seal's each and knobby back edges like a humpback whale's, droop downward as if it were visibly depressed; the large tail flukes also have knobby back edges. A pair of small spouts like small chimneys is visible on the top of its head, set towards the front of the snout, and these occasionally blow sprays of seafoam into the air. Upon its back is a great pile of compacted sediment like a small mountain, with multiple layers in several shades of reddish brown like a sandstone cliff, alongside additional smaller rocky plates like scales scattered across its skin around the base of the mountain; otherwise, it is bluish-black above and white below. The shiny has dark blue-purple skin and a lavender belly, though the silt pile remains, camouflaging it as an island on the surface of the sea.

In its Submerged form, the sandstone pile has worn off somewhat thanks to water erosion. Now, the "mountain" is smaller, but it also exposes an assortment of fossilized shells and bones accumulated within that now stick out like various spikes and horns, making its back a far more treacherous hurdle and giving it a look more akin to a medieval sea monster. Its clawed flippers are now posed like arms ready to seize prey, and its eyes are open, revealing ferocious solid red orbs that shine faintly yet fiercely. The spouts, on the other hand, are closed up and retracted, being of no use at this depth, with only two closed slits on the top of the head where they were before. It assumes this form when submerged in the depths of the ocean abyss, but should it be hit by a super-effective attack, it will be forced to surface again.

Gameplay Info:
Leviatoll is slow, yet formidable. With impressive physical bulk and an Attack stat which isn't too shabby, it is built to trade hits with equally powerful physically minded opponents, though without any speed-boosting moves or priority, it would probably be unlikely to pull off a true sweep, and would be better suited to clear the way for an actual sweeper. It's able to learn via level-up both Head Smash and Wave Crash, two very powerful moves that can easily obliterate any non-resistant opposition, but the heavy recoil means that without the use of Recover or ally-supplied healing, both moves become high-risk, high-reward strategies banking on who gets KO'd first. Coverage in the form of Ice and Ground moves helps deal with most of the types it remains weak to even in its Submerged form, though with no answer to Fighting and terrible special defense, it isn't entirely unstoppable; faster opponents and especially special-attacking sweepers in particular will often have an easy time getting at least one hit in before it can even get the chance to react, which in the wrong circumstances can significantly hamper its ability to unleash the strongest moves at its disposal.

This is admittedly a last-minute addition to the subs for this slate, but I didn't want Tarmatorn to be alone in its theme of natural disasters should it be selected as a minor Legendary, so I added a watery counterpart to go with it, as a nod to the fact that Nevada was one of the states that used to be the site of the Western Interior Seaway (hence the legend of Desvega being flooded). Leviatoll is based on Livytan melvilli, a giant prehistoric carnivorous sperm whale; though its fossils are mainly known from Peru, its teeth have been discovered in a wide range of places, including California. I also folded in aspects of the old myth of whales posing as islands, as well as a bit of the strange and monstrous depictions of whales in medieval maps and bestiaries.

Name: Lamblaste (Lambaste + blast)
Type: Ground
Ability: Fur Coat / Traveller / Dust Devil
Base Stats: 45 / 65 / 30 / 55 / 50 / 55 (300)
Height + Weight:
Flavour/Design: Based on bighorn sheep. Lamblaste are prideful rascals that challenge even the strongest Trainer's mental fortitude, stirring up trouble wherever they go and being one of the most disobedient species to raise. Those who have raised (or at least attempted to raise one) are noted to have become particularly short-tempered with their peers; whether it's because of the experience of raising a Lamblaste or their influence is unclear.

(Level up Lamblaste at lvl 35)
Name: Capraith (Capricorn + Wraith)
Type: Dark/Ground
Ability: Fur Coat / Gritty / Dust Devil
Base Stats: 60 / 85 / 50 / 65 / 80 / 80 (420)
Height + Weight: Based on the Iberian Ibex. Capraith have become even more crafty, developing a cruel streak and are known to torment the homeless for fun. On clear nights, there are sightings of Capraith gathering in open fields, bleating up to the stars above to worship Janutcher. The cause of this is unknown.

(Level up Capraith starting at lvl 55 at night)
Name: Sabbaphoat (Sabbath + Baphomet + goat)

Height + Weight:
Flavour/Design: Based on the goatman, the Iberian Ibex, as well as the stereotype that Old Scratch comes as a goat. Sabbaphoat are proud rogues who have powers some consider unnatural, able to influence events to its preference, which also led to Arcognition's birth. Many of the Desvegan upper crust have a Sabbaphoat as a team member, perhaps as a symbol of power.
*Traveller (Loria): When switching in, the Pokemon is unaffected by and removes entry hazards on its side of the field.
*Gritty (Desvega): If this Pokemon is inflicted with a status condition, boosts its Sp. Atk by 50%.

Name: Agnosus (ágnōstos + sus, the genus of pigs)
Counterpart: Aviarice, Aggravattle
Typing: Poison/Ground
Ability: Unhindered / Unaware

Height + Weight: 1.8 m + 143 kg
Flavour/Design: Based on Moha or delusion, depicted in the Buddhist wheel of life as a pig; as well as oreodonts, one of the fossils found in California. Agnosus is said to once be a manipulative Pokemon that had bullied Virulope, earning it the wraith of Janutcher, who proceeded to use Virulope's sickness to break their spirits. The Karma Trio each dealt with the experience differently - Agnosus elected to pretend that nothing had happened, eventually consumed by its delusion - literally, no thanks to Arcognition.

Name: Aviarice (Avian + Avarice)
Counterpart: Agnosus, Aggravattle
Typing: Poison/Flying
Ability: Unhindered / Opportunist

Height + Weight: 2.4 m + 79 kg
Flavour/Design: Based on raga or greed, depicted in the Buddhist wheel of life as a bird; as well as the Momo Hoax and the California condor. Aviarice is said to once be a bone vulture Pokemon that had bullied Virulope, earning her the wraith of Janutcher, who proceeded to use Virulope's sickness to break their spirits. The Karma Trio each dealt with the experience differently - Aviarice elected to pursue Janutcher's power for herself, eventually consumed by her greed - literally, no thanks to Arcognition.

Name: Aggravattle (Aggravate + rattle)
Counterpart: Agnosus, Aviarice
Typing: Poison/Dark
Ability: Unhindered / Contrary
Base Stats: 90 / 135 / 100 / 50 / 80 / 110 (570)
Notable Moves: Poison Tail, Toxic Shock, Poison Jab, Gunk Shot, Power Trip, Assurance, Knock Off, Lash Out, Glare, Revenge, Body Press, Superpower, Zen Headbutt, Dig, Earthquake, Iron Head, Waterfall, Flame Charge, Fire Fang, Ice Fang, Ice Hammer, Thunder Fang, Shock Tail, Drain Fang, Phantom Force, Poltergeist, Waterfall, Super Fang, Coil, Poison Terrain, Toxic, Venoshock, Sludge Bomb, Snarl, Dark Pulse, Focus Blast, Psyshock, Psychic, Earth Power, Flash Cannon, Flamethrower, Fire Blast, Thunderbolt, Thunder, Hex, Shadow Ball, Surf, Snatch, Taunt, Topsy-Turvey, Spite, Encore, Imprison, Shed Tail
Height + Weight: 5.4 m + 105 kg
Flavour/Design: Based on dvesa or hatred, depicted in the Buddhist wheel of life as a snake; as well as the western diamondback. Aggravattle is said to once be a fang snake Pokemon that had bullied Virulope, earning him the wraith of Janutcher, who proceeded to use Virulope's sickness to break their spirits. They each dealt with the experience differently - Aggravattle elected to become strong enough to force Janutcher to end his suffering, eventually consumed by his hatred - literally, no thanks to Arcognition.

I imagine that in order to unlock the ability to encounter this roaming trio, the Player must have Virulope - whether having caught or traded one - as the first member of their party. Considering that our box-arts have Abilities that raise or lower stats, this also explains their Hidden Abilities - Agnosus is the delusion that "everything is fine", thus it has Unaware, ignoring stat changes, whether Arcognition Downloaded the right one; Aviarice is the "I want it!', thus she is an Opportunist who would also gain a boost from Download; Aggravattle's beef is solely with Janutcher, so even if it gets Intimidated, its Contrary boosts its attack instead. Their standard Ability, for flavour's sake, is that since this is the "Reality Trio", ignoring type-matchups would be akin to breaking a part of reality, no?
*Unhindered (Desvega): The Pokemon's moves that would normally have no effect due to type matchups will be able to hit the target.
