So this is a serious one, and I'm not sure if this is happening all over or just to me, but whenever I try to play National Dex AG, it tells me that my team isn't valid because I have pokemon, moves, and items that aren't in gen 8. But obviously, this is Nat dex. This is really, really bad because it means that I can't play the tier. I'm not quite sure whether this is Showdown or my WiFi, but I don't think this is on my end, because I've tried everything I can think of and it still keeps saying that. I would like to provide a screenshot, but I can't due to technical issues. I looked at all of the battles on the ladder, and there are only seven. This makes me really sure that this is universal.

I know that this was fixed but the Plates still do not validate in National Dex formats. (Arceus would have to use a Z crystal to get a type change from Multitype)

mega lopunny could re-mega evolve with lopunnite and change its ability from mold breaker to scrappy, allowing me to hit the gengar. this shouldn't be happening
This is happening in custom game, your initial ability is taken into account, and mega pokemon can mega evolve even in their original state, making them obtain their actual ability.
To stop this, you would have to have regular lopunny in your teambuilder.

The replay search page should say 2 years ago.

I noticed this in Metronome too recently, though I believe this works in the games. I'm not sure if this is just because Charizard X and Y are different formes though..
EDIT: Maybe something changed accidentally because this wasn't the case before.

This is an intended mechanic in custom game...

You're not supposed to be able to Mega Evolve into the form you are currently. That's why only Charizard and Mewtwo can do this, because they have more than one Mega Evolution. I thought this was implemented properly but maybe someone broke it recently.

Hello,

Apologies if this has already been reported, but I can't validate the majority of my National Dex AG teams because of an error message that's coming up saying, "Rayquaza-Mega must not be nicknamed a different Pokémon species than what it actually is." This extends to several and maybe many other Pokémon as well, including Primal Groudon and Mega Tyranitar for example.

I think it's not validating Pokémon that don't exist in the Galar Dex. This is because I validated a stall team of mine with all Pokémon that exist in Gen 8.

Hope this helps!

My immediate guess would be external speed factors, such as sticky web or tailwind being in effect.
Hey, nothing like that was in place, i'm currently without home internet (VIVO keeps fucking me over) both occasions had no external buff's but i wasn't able to replicate em properly, i'm trying to get the set my cousin used (he was the darmanitan player) if i manage to do so i'll post a replay in the next few days.

Could it be that you Dynamaxed your Dragapult and forgot that dynamaxing cancels the speed boost from choice scarf?

Not my battle, but for some reason, Slaking was loafing around on its first turn out. I'm guessing it has something to do with the way the previous turn ended and how the pokemon fainted. Weird gen 3 mechanic maybe? First turn Slaking was in the battle too.

Since Raichu died of end-of-turn damage, Leech Seed, (would work the same if it'd die of Sandstorm or Burn),Truant triggers on the first turn Slaking gets to move. I believe it still works this way in gen 8.

When clicking on a user's link to another chatroom with hyphens (e.g. <<the-cafe>>), it opens 2 tabs: "the-cafe" and the correct one, "The Cafe". Closing the "the-cafe" tab closes both; closing the "The Cafe" tab leaves an empty chatroom that doesn't load with a text input box that fortunately does not go to the room (whether you're actually in the correct room or not), but does appear to make a request to the server.

"Moves with a different accuracy in rain or sun, such as Thunder have their normal accuracy when targeted at the (U. Umbrella) holder."
I landed every single thunder in the rain against a max evasion pokemon that only missed when sunny day was active.
This should remove the perfect accuracy even in the rain against a Utility Umbrella holding pokemon.

Ugh, that was a stupid typo on my part. Sorry about that. I'll PR a fix.

It looks the simulator confused Psychic Terrain with Misty Terrain in a recent battle: https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/gen8randombattle-1094717690 On Turn 15, my opponent's Uxie dynamaxed and used Max Mindstorm, setting Psychic Terrain. On turn 17, while Psychic Terrain was still active, my opponent's Sableye tried to use Will-O-Wisp on my Leafeon, but it failed, with the message "Leafeon was protected by the Psychic Terrain." But protecting from status isn't an effect of Psychic Terrain, but of Misty Terrain.

Edit: Never mind, thanks @below!

Sableye has Prankster, giving priority to Will-O-Wisp and thus allowing it to be blocked by Psychic Terrain.
