Ok, the voting session is officially OVER! 6 people voted this time around!

The checks section ended in a landslide, surprisingly enough.
:bw/heatran:
Heatran wins against Necrozma-DM in a 4-2 vote! Sometimes you just gotta turn up the heat! Congratulations to Crunchman!

Now for our counters section, our two pokemon got into a tie at 3-3! Because of this, I will place in my vote as the tiebreaker!

..........

:bw/kyogre:
My vote goes to Kyogre! Garmanitan may be cold, but the warth of the sea lord is colder! Congratulations Fc!

And finally, the unconvential picks...

:bw/suicune:
It's suicune as the winner with 3 votes over 1 vote for Omastar, Scizor and Urshifu. Congartulations rng loser!

Onto our newest victim! The apocalyptic atrocity! The King Kaiju! The demon of Dynamax! It's ETERNATUS!
:ss/eternatus:
Eternatus @ Black Sludge
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 176 HP / 240 SpD / 92 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Dragon Pulse
- Meteor Beam
- Cosmic Power
- Recover

This particular set has been popping up all over due to the lack of pokemon that can bust through it while it boosts in their face! Can you do away with the spooky scary skeleton that sends a shiver down your spine?

Ferrothorn @ Leftovers
Ability: Iron Barbs
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpD
Careful Nature
IVs: 0 Spe
- Spikes
- Leech Seed
- Power Whip
- Knock Off

Sp.Def Ferrothorn is a counter to demon Eternatus. It can't boost up to +6 fast enough and can hardly deal enough damage to Ferrothorn before Leech + Knock outdamages its recovery PP and wins slowly. Unboosted hits do essentially nothing, so Ferrothorn is one of the best ways to slowly deal with demon Eternatus.
0 SpA Eternatus Dragon Pulse vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Ferrothorn: 41-48 (11.6 - 13.6%) -- possibly the worst move ever

+6 0 SpA Eternatus Dragon Pulse vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Ferrothorn: 163-192 (46.3 - 54.5%) -- 86.3% chance to 3HKO after Leftovers recovery and Leech Seed recovery

gonna say that this Etern is slow as dirt but ask the host to not remove it as I proceed to reserve Heatran

Χύτρα Ταχύτητας (Heatran)
@ Leftovers
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SpA / 252 SpD
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Lava Plume
- Roar
- Protect
- Taunt / Torment

This weird Heatran is a counter to demon Etern. Lava plume doesn't do any damage, but getting a burn on a Pokemon without any passive recovery is massive. The first Meteor Beam is the only option that can do ANY damage to Heatran.
+1 0 SpA Eternatus Meteor Beam vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Heatran: 124-146 (32.1 - 37.8%) -- 0.2% chance to 3HKO after Leftovers recovery

After that Dragon Pulse does no damage whatsoever
+1 0 SpA Eternatus Meteor Beam vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Heatran: 124-146 (32.1 - 37.8%) -- 0.2% chance to 3HKO after Leftovers recovery

Protect means Meteor Beam will never hit, Roar makes your opponent LEAVE and Taunt is just good support move idk fuck cosmic power. You can run Torment as a hilarious set where you Torment the Dragon Pulse and then Roar out the set-up turn.

Necrozma-DM as a counter

Necrozma-Dusk-Mane @ Life Orb / Weakness Policy
Ability: Prism Armor
EVs: 136 HP / 252 Atk / 120 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Dragon Dance
- Sunsteel Strike
- Earthquake
- Stone Edge

That Eternatus set is literally setup bait for DD Necrozma-DM, and due to how threatening it is, the opponent will always be pressured to double switch every time Necrozma comes in since it does not want to give a free setup for it. No matter which move it does between Meteor Beam, Dragon Pulse, or Cosmic Power, it will lose to Necrozma and put you in a terrible position if you even think about staying for longer than one turn.

+1 0 SpA Eternatus Meteor Beam vs. 136 HP / 0 SpD Necrozma-Dusk-Mane: 83-98 (22.4 - 26.5%) -- 24.8% chance to 4HKO

252+ Atk Life Orb Necrozma-Dusk-Mane Earthquake vs. +1 176 HP / 0 Def Eternatus: 250-296 (53.7 - 63.6%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Black Sludge recovery

+6 252+ Atk Life Orb Necrozma-Dusk-Mane Earthquake vs. +6 176 HP / 0 Def Eternatus: 374-442 (80.4 - 95%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Black Sludge recovery

Groudon @ Leftovers
Ability: Drought
EVs: 240 HP / 108 Atk / 144 Def / 16 Spe
Impish Nature
- Precipice Blades
- Thunder Wave
- Swords Dance
- Stone Edge

Check to Demon Eternatus. Groudon can switch in on Eternatus when healthy and threaten an OHKO with Precipice Blades. If Eternatus stays in, Groudon can paralyze it to hamper future attempts to set up and Swords Dance to outdamage Cosmic Power + Recover.

0 SpA Eternatus Dragon Pulse vs. 240 HP / 0 SpD Groudon: 138-163 (34.4 - 40.6%) -- 50.7% chance to 3HKO after Leftovers recovery
+1 0 SpA Eternatus Meteor Beam vs. 240 HP / 0 SpD Groudon: 97-115 (24.1 - 28.6%) -- possible 5HKO after Leftovers recovery

108 Atk Groudon Precipice Blades vs. 176 HP / 0 Def Eternatus: 414-488 (89 - 104.9%) -- 31.3% chance to OHKO
108 Atk Groudon Precipice Blades vs. +1 176 HP / 0 Def Eternatus: 276-326 (59.3 - 70.1%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Black Sludge recovery

I see why they call this a demon.

:sm/quagsire:

Submitting Quagsire as a Counter to Demon Eternatus.

Quagsire @ Leftovers
Ability: Unaware
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpD
Sassy Nature
- Scald
- Earthquake
- Haze
- Recover

Quagsire can easily switch into Eternatus, and not only threathen it with Earthquake, but also Haze away any CP and Meteor Beam boosts that it may have aquired, neutralizing the threat.

0 SpA Eternatus Dragon Pulse vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Quagsire: 118-141 (29.9 - 35.7%) -- 0.5% chance to 3HKO after Stealth Rock and Leftovers recovery
0 Atk Quagsire Earthquake vs. 176 HP / 0 Def Eternatus: 198-234 (42.5 - 50.3%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Black Sludge recovery

Banned deucer.
:dp/blissey:

Blissey (F) @ Utility Umbrella
Ability: Healer
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Def / 252 SpD
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Confide
- Soft-Boiled
- Teleport
- Aromatherapy / Seismic Toss / Shadow Ball / Ice Beam / Egg Bomb / Thunder Wave / Thunder / Light That Burns Your Eyes

Blissey serves as a practical hard counter to Demon Eternatus. Confide after Pressure has the same number of PP as Meteor Beam, and even if Eternatus stalls out all of these and manages to get to +1 or +2, Blissey comfortably walls Eternatus and uses Teleport into the appropriate revenge killer.

Of course, we can go crazier and run Leftovers/Boots and go full HP + SpDef, but then it's worse for other mons overall.

Dam all the good options have been take in, i guess is time to bring the big guns.
Reserving Calyrex Shadow.

:ss/Calyrex-Shadow:
Specs Calyrex S is an nightmare for any defensive mon in the tier besides Yveltal and this guy is capable of take down etern before he goes crazy.

252 SpA Choice Specs Calyrex-Shadow Psyshock vs. +1 176 HP / 0 Def Eternatus: 326-386 (70.1 - 83%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Black Sludge recovery

Even at plus 1 Shadow rider is capable of achieve a clean 2HKO (Even at +2) so Etern isnt avaliable to win. Also thanks to his ridiculous bulk, Calyrex S can sponge one atack from etern even at +1 and win the 1vs1 if the game comes to that. CHECK

Xerneas @ Power Herb
Ability: Fairy Aura
EVs: 168 Def / 252 SpA / 88 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Moonblast
- Psyshock
- Geomancy
- Ingrain

Xearneas is a check as it cannot really switch into meteor beam but can easily geomancy as eternatus wont be dealing much damage after a geomancy, but gets 2hko'ed by psyshock
+2 252+ SpA Xerneas Psyshock vs. 176 HP / 0 Def Eternatus: 404-476 (86.8 - 102.3%) -- 18.8% chance to OHKO
+2 252+ SpA Xerneas Psyshock vs. +1 176 HP / 0 Def Eternatus: 270-318 (58 - 68.3%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Black Sludge recovery

I am gonna have some fun. I am submitting Jirachi as an unconventional pick.
:dp/Jirachi:
Jirachi @ Leftovers
Calm Nature
Ability: Serene Grace
EVs: 248 HP / 8 Def / 252 SpD
- Wish
- Psych Up
- Stored Power
- Calm Mind/Other options
+1 0 SpA Eternatus Dragon Pulse vs. 248 HP / 252+ SpD Jirachi: 68-81 (16.8 - 20%) -- possible 7HKO after Leftovers recovery
+6 0 SpA Eternatus Dragon Pulse vs. 248 HP / 252+ SpD Jirachi: 181-213 (44.9 - 52.8%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Leftovers recovery
+1 0 SpA Jirachi Stored Power (280 BP) vs. +6 176 HP / 240 SpD Eternatus: 186-222 (40 - 47.7%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Black Sludge recovery
0 SpA Jirachi Stored Power (260 BP) vs. +6 176 HP / 240 SpD Eternatus: 116-140 (24.9 - 30.1%) -- 0.2% chance to 4HKO after Black Sludge recovery.
The last move slot can be anything. Calm mind to Sweep, Shadow Ball to hit oppositing psychic types, or... Just put whatever.

Thanks to its typing, access to Psych up, stored power and recovery, Jirachi can comfortably come in, copy the boost, and use stored power. Inspired by some HO sets. However, without the defense boost, does not match well against other, bar Mewtwo. It is just for fun.
I originally planned for metagross

Gardevoir as an unconventional pick

It's a boy! (Gardevoir) (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Synchronize
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SpA / 252 SpD
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Disable
- Moonblast
- Encore
- Psyshock

:ss/gardevoir:

+1 0 SpA Eternatus Meteor Beam vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Gardevoir: 117-138 (34.4 - 40.5%) -- 50% chance to 3HKO after Leftovers recovery
Basically just Encore and Disable plus immunity to Dragon Pulse
Psyshock deals more damage than Psychic

Submitting Palkia as a counter.
:ss/palkia:
Palkia @ Choice Specs
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Hydro Pump
- Draco Meteor
- Thunder
- Fire Blast

Etern’s got nothing on Palk, plain simple. Come in on Cosmic Power and Palkia nukes Eternatus to high hell with Draco, while Dragon Pulse is only a 2HKO thanks to Palk’s decent bulk.

252 SpA Choice Specs Palkia Draco Meteor vs. +1 176 HP / 240 SpD Eternatus: 390-462 (83.8 - 99.3%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Black Sludge recovery

0 SpA Eternatus Dragon Pulse vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Palkia: 218-258 (67.9 - 80.3%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

edit: lmao I’m a dumbass, count this as a check

Clefable @ Leftovers
Ability: Unaware
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpD
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Moonblast
- Soft-Boiled
- Calm Mind
- Heal Bell

Nominating Clefable as a counter to the Demon Eternatus set. Owing to Unaware, as the ability ignores any opponent's stats modification, this allows Clefable to not only wall this set with ease, but it can also set Calm Minds in front of it and slain it with boosted Moonblasts. This is what separates Clefable from most special walls as they can't really do much in return; as a result they are usually locked in a stallish war with the Gigantic Pokemon. Additionally it also knows Soft-Boiled hence it can't be chipped that easily in drawn out matches which makes it a perfect candidate for checking this unique Eternatus set as the set also possesses reliable recovery.

Clefable can also check Xerneas and Yveltal although not as splash-able in teams when compare to other number of threats, so I can't really see it fitting in to an unconventional category - nominating Clefable as a counter.

nominating calyrex ice as check to demon eternatus set.

Calyrex-Ice @ Choice Band
Ability: As One (Glastrier)
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Glacial Lance
- High Horsepower
- Trick
- Icicle Spear

252+ Atk Choice Band Calyrex-Ice Glacial Lance vs. +1 176 HP / 0 Def Eternatus: 582-686 (125.1 - 147.5%) -- guaranteed OHKO

While i was thinking why not give it as a counter the answer is that caly ice lacks recovery so it should preferably be considered as a check than a counter. But yes of course caly ice can continue to maintain pressure on eternatus till the team progresses to take on other pokemon.

had to switch around a few nomination:
Quagisre is an Unconvential Pick rather than a counter because it is not ranked in the viability rankings.
