Lugia, Ho-Oh, Reshiram, Zekrom, Lunala, Solgaleo, and Kyurem are BANNED from Sketchmons (when DLC drops)

Sticky Web / Light Clay:
We went over this already, but HO currently has too many tools at the moment with Light Clay and Sticky Web being their best enablers. As it currently stands Ribombee is already one of the best suicide hazards lead due to its role compression + Speed stat, so this restriction mainly serves to make Sticky Webs HO less unpredictable by forcing it onto only Ribombee (which like we said is already arguably the best suicide lead to begin with). This just removes the possibility of random Sticky Web on a mon you weren't expecting, as well as reducing the potency of other strong suicide leads such as Glimmora, Samurott-Hisui, and Kleavor. Light Clay ban is for a similar reason to Sticky Web, where our goal was to lower the overall power level of HO. Light Clay enabled many of the tiers set-up sweepers through Ninetales-Alola and Grimmsnarl, both of which became incredible support setters through the access of pivot moves like Teleport or Parting Shot or deterrents like Circle Throw or Glare.

Ogerpon-Wellspring:
This thing was too powerful of a breaker with its myriad of powerful sketches. Aqua Step, Surging Strikes, Flower Trick, Bitter Blade, Tidy Up, Dragon Dance, or Ice Shard to name a lot of them. It was too powerful offensively and broke too easily due to its great type advantages vs the commonly seen defensive cores while also having a good enough base kit to tech on options to beat any would be checks like Amoongus or Goodra-H. Water Absorb also proved to be a devastating ability in this meta despite Ogerpon resisting Water 4x, mainly due to the ability to blank the tier's powerful Water attacks like Water Spout or Surging Strikes. Switching into a choice locked mon like Inteleon meant it got free set up, which meant it could very easily get a kill or two from that point.

Great Tusk:
Tidy Up or Dragon Dance Great Tusk was just too threatening of a sweeper simply put. Only Corviknight and Levitate Weezing comes to mind as something that can comfortably take on Great Tusk, but even then Corviknight still liable to lose to Great Tusk if it didn't have Brave Bird or Cotton Guard (or any other method to force it out). Its great physical bulk also meant that there weren't many reliable ways to revenge kill it since it could most likely live a hit and just kill you back. Fighting/Ground/Ice coverage is almost perfect coverage for the most part. Sun teams also made Great Tusks that much more unbearable.

Iron Moth:
Eruption Iron Moth did too much damage. That's the whole ban. We're not going to hit Eruption since nothing else is as crazy as Iron Moth besides the fact that Iron Moth is powerful with other sketches like Earth Power. I feel like we don't need to get into this as much.

Iron Valiant:
This thing has too many sets and is too unpredictable. It can beat virtually anything with its single Sketch. Again this one is fairly self-explanatory.

Contrary:
With Malamar and Serperior coming back, Contrary would have made both of them ridiculous with the addition of Spin Out and the numerous moves Surperior could run like Earth Power and Overheat. To avoid banning potentially two different mons because of one ability, we're instead hitting Contrary.

Cinderace / Meowscarada:
Same concept here. Libero and Protean are just Tera-lite, and rather than keeping two mons banned for their abilities, we've just decided to hit the abilities and unban the mons. Greninja will stay banned because Battle Bond is a ridiculous ability to have, and we fully expect it to be very stupid.

Heat Rock:
Heat Rock avoids the ban this time around due to us hitting their best abusers, but with the release of the DLC and the unban of Booster Energy, we will still be keeping an eye out on this and we may revisit it again if it poses a problem.

Legendaries:

You don't need us to explain this one do you? Since the DLC is dropping in the middle of the month, we're voting on it now that way they're illegal to use as soon as the DLC is released.

Kris we got another one for you

This Toxapex thing is slightly broken ngl

Toxapex @ Black Sludge
Ability: Regenerator
Tera Type: Poison
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 Def
Relaxed Nature
- Salt Cure
- Baneful Bunker
- Toxic
- Infestation

Balance literally gets 6-0'd (not literally, but it's very very hard for teams to break this thing and it racks up a serious amount of chip over time.)

Thanks for responding! just wanted to ask if any ideas/teams/sets with it in mind?
Well it would definitely need pinchurchin (unless tapu koko comes out or something else gets electric surge). Idk what to sketch for that but maybe volt switch. Iron moth and Iron valiant would have been really good abusers, but they are banned now lol. Alolan raichu, hawlucha, iron jugulis, iron hands, and iron leaves are all possible abusers.

Anyone else finds it unfair when playing against Zoroark-Hisui ?
zoroark-hisui[1].png

I have been using it for a while and I don't see it often, but when I see, even when it's obvious, even knowing which move it will use, BloodMoon is a very strong move

These are the only sets it will use, but they are still crazy strong

Zoroark-Hisui @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Illusion
Tera Type: Normal
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Blood Moon
- Shadow Ball
- Flamethrower
- Nasty Plot

Zoroark-Hisui @ Choice Specs
Ability: Illusion
Tera Type: Normal
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Blood Moon
- Shadow Ball
- Flamethrower
- U-Turn

there seems to be a bug where ubers are allowed? everything is chaotic https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/gen9sketchmons-2012691200?p2
Is not really a bug, the tier leaders didn't include them in their announcement, only the base forms.
ponchlake Eggs double check your banlist. Also update the op.
Some of the new bans aren't live either, but we need to sort it out, as none of the Necrozma forms are mentioned in the ban post, among other stuff, like which Deoxys are allowed, and still need to mention the Kyurem formes somewhere.

Maybe not ban Lugia. I dare you to make a usable set with it.
Not the person your replying to BUT...

Lugia @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Pressure
Tera Type: Psychic
EVs: 252 HP / 160 Def / 96 Spe
Bold Nature
- Mortal Spin
- Recover
- Ice Beam / Earth Power
- Whirlwind

Literally just the SwSh Ubers sample set. But with Toxic swapped out for Mortal Spin for the hazard removal and some poison chip. Maybe you can also swap Ice Beam for Earth Power so your not totally screwed if a Steel type comes in to block Mortal Spin. But either way, it's just basic Lugia.

Or if you want, you can use better Dragon Dance, and by that I mean Tidy Up!

Lugia @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Multiscale
Tera Type: Psychic
EVs: 252 Atk / 80 Def / 176 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Tidy Up
- Brave Bird
- Earthquake
- Recover

Tidy Up gets rid of hazards, while also boosting your Atk and Spe. Brave Bird is your main STAB with EQ for coverage. And Recover just heals you up. Is it the absolute hardest hitting thing there is? Probably not. But it is one of the bulkiest, and can easily threaten things like Ribombee trying to get Webs back up.

Now are either of these very good? Probably not. But given the lower power level of the OM compared to Ubers, and the raw bulk this thing possesses, it would probably be pretty decent bare minimum, and certainly useable.
