Stats: 60/105/80/115/95/90 (BST 545)
Viable Moves: Freeze-Dry, Ice Beam, Focus Blast, Rapid Spin, Calm Mind, Poison Jab, Fire Punch, Thunder Punch, Parting Shot, Ice Shard +Bulk Up
Flavor Moves: Gen 9 Universals, Arm Thrust, Aurora Beam, Aurora Veil, Avalanche, Body Press, Body Slam, Brick Break, Coaching, Comeuppance, Counter, Cross Chop, Force Palm, Frost Breath, Hammer Arm, Icy Wind, Mega Punch, Mega Kick, Payback, Powder Snow, Rock Blast, Slam, Snarl, Snowscape, Triple Axel, Water Gun, Zen Headbutt
Custom Elements:
Ice Skate- Speed is raised by one stage after using an Ice-type move.
Bullying- Using a contact move on an opposing Pokémon has a 30% chance to inflict a taunt.
Description: Mixed attacker. Can use Ice Shard to boost speed on first turn out.
For Squawkerz Set #2 & zxgzxg Set #2, the winner is anaconja 's Nervana!
Name: Nervana
Type: Psychic
Viable Abilities: Berserk, Loose Cannon*
Flavor Abilities: Inner Focus
Stats: 95 / 95 / 95 / 95 / 95 / 75 | 550
Viable Moves: Boomburst, Psychic, Taunt, Shift Gear, Precipice Blades, Stone Edge, Stealth Rock, Shore Up
+ Zen Headbutt, Thunder, Zap Cannon, Blizzard, Fire Blast, Inferno
Flavor Moves: wip
Custom Elements: Loose Cannon- Moves increase in power by however much lower than 100% accuracy they are. Moves that can’t miss are unboosted.
Description: gets crazy power on its inaccurate coverage. has to worry about hitting them of course.
For Turtlek Set #1 & Rasdanation Set #1, the winner is Rasdanation 's Nerocable
Name: Nerocable (Nerodia + Cable)
Type:

Abilities: Inner Focus / Parental Bond [HA]
Stats: 73 / 100 / 85 / 90 / 120 / 82 [550 BST]
Viable Moves: Acid Spray, Muddy Water, Brine, Switcheroo, Trick, Energy Ball, Glare, Short Circuit*, Knock Off, U-Turn
+ Aqua Tail
Flavor Moves: Aqua Cutter, Aqua Ring, Chilling Water, Dive, Rain Dance, Soak, Whirlpool, Charge, Electric Terrain, Electro Ball, Shock Wave, Spark, Thunder Fang, Thunder Wave, Zap Cannon, Gastro Acid, Poison Fang, Poison Tail, Toxic, Iron Tail, Body Slam, Bind, Constrict, Tail Whip, Endure, Facade, Helping Hand, Protect, Rest, Sleep Talk, Substitute, Take Down, Tera Blast
Custom Elements: Short Circuit- 65 BP, 15 PP, 100% Accuracy, Physical, Electric, Double Power if target is Paralyzed.
Description: For the first set I went with water, given the real weak spot of the first set in this pairing would be Muddy Water & Brine. Outside of it being a STAB option, there are few other ways to justify running one of these two unreliable moves. I know some would opt Poison for Acid Spray, but the move is already leagues ahead the water moves, given it has fantastic utility in dropping your SpDef 4 stages, it’s threatening enough as is. From the second set the main options presented were Electric, Dark, and Bug, however given Knock Off and U-Turn can high value on any mon, even without STAB, it felt fitting to give Electric.
Overall this is a mon with mid defenses, but a strong defensive type, giving it some space to utilize its utility like Glare and Trick, of which opens up scary offensive opportunities like PBond boosted Short Circuit or inflicting -4 SpDef on PBond Acid Spray.
with 3 slates left, I am considering taking a break until DragonHeaven is updated and Slates 3-5 are coded before continuing. I'll put a poll up on here and discord to gauge interest, and we'll go with whatever wins.

by a 7-2 vote across smogon and discord, we will continue with Slates!

Name: Agapest
Type: Bug/Steel
Abilities: Stamina / --- | Rough Skin
Stats: 70/130/90/60/110/80 (540)
Viable Moves: Stealth Rock, Body Press, Slack Off, U-Turn, Swords Dance, Bullet Punch, Leech Life, Collision Course
Flavor Moves: later
Description: No matter what this first set leaves a lot of room for interpretation since none of the moves scream "STAB option" and it just looks like a fat mon. Thank god for that, too, because Leech Life and a Bullet Punch that's not boosted by abilities both kinda enforce Bug/Steel. Stamina could get very out of hand with Body Press on this so its Defense won't be too high initially.

Name: Orgma
Type: Fire/Steel
Abilities: Steam Engine / --- | Regenerator
Stats: 90/120/60/100/90/40 (520)
Viable Moves: Rapid Spin, Lava Plume, Poison Fang, U-Turn, Fire Lash, Anchor Shot, Zing Zap
Description: So my first set got paired with something with literally negative synergy, and the second one somehow got paired with something perfect. I don't see Steam Engine working, abilities that rely on the opponent like this don't tend to be consistent and Regenerator pushes it too far into this role, but whatever. Literally everything else is very natural on this as at least an alright option. Its main set is probably like Fire move / Anchor Shot / Rapid Spin / U-Turn but Poison Fang could definitely go over a Fire move to annoy fat mons harder and Zing Zap is there since Waters switch into this very easily otherwise. Bulk kept relatively low because a Steel with Regen is going to match very well into fat no matter what.

Name: Flutsir
Type: Psychic/Dark
Abilities: Shed Skin / Moxie | Drizzle
Stats: 115/110/45/130/55/90 (545)
Viable Moves: Victory Dance, Headlong Rush, Kowtow Cleave, U-Turn, Encore, Hydro Pump, Scald, Psychic, Spikes, Ice Beam
Description: So the first two felt pretty natural, and here's where things hit the fan. First off, I don't see how I can fit Encore into this at all, mostly because the two sets are so different and U-Turn is probably just straight up better here no matter what I do. Psychic and Kowtow Cleave also seem pretty out of place as coverage options so I'm going to go for a weird typing here. Hydro Pump may still see use on more offensive special sets, Ice Beam and Headlong Rush are strong coverage options. Stats are gonna be a bit weird no matter what for this one, but something like what I have now was my first idea. You naturally have very threatening special sets, which could easily bait opponents into switching out...but then you set up Victory Dance on the switch and now have a completely different set of coverage for them to watch for. Could be fun here.

squawk subbing to his own mod?!

DuoM2 Set #1 & Fragmented Set #1
Name: Molttar
Type:

Viable Abilities: Regenerator, Steam Engine
Flavor Abilities: (optional)
Stats: 90/100/110/75/85/30 (BST: 490)
Viable Moves: Rapid Spin, Lava Plume, Poison Fang, U-Turn, Fire Lash, Anchor Shot, Zing Zap
Flavor Moves: tbd
Description: despite this having physical and special fire moves, i decided to make this poison/steel. this has a pretty simple gameplan, trap the opponent with anchor shot, toxic them with poison fang or smack them with fire lash if they are a steel or Pollutron. This is perfectly suited for a regenvest set, with rapid spin or u-turn being the final move of choice, with it being the slowest in the mod allowing for slow u-turns. watch out for dirtle.

Lavarina Set #2 & BreloomBuddy Set #2
Name: Kickada
Type: Fighting/Bug
Abilities: Stamina/Rough Skin
Stats: 100/122/110/50/85/45
Viable Moves: Stealth Rock, Body Press, Brick Break, Slack Off, U-Turn, Swords Dance, Bullet Punch, Leech Life, Collision Course
Flavor Moves: Absorb, Acrobatics, Aerial Ace, Beak Blast, Cross Chop, Defog, Giga Drain, Infestation, Lunge, Pounce, Struggle Bug, Tailwind | Protect, Endure, Substitute, Rest, Sleep Talk, Tera Blast, Helping Hand, Facade, Take Down
Description: Bulky mon, takes hits to boost Body Press's power, or take hits and chip away at the opponent at the same time. Throwing in Beak Blast just for the extra punish.

DuoM2 Set #1 & Fragmented Set #1
Name: Furnaphagus
Type: Fire/Steel
Abilities: Regenerator/Steam Engine/Merciless
Stats: 88/100/100/40/90/82
Viable Moves: Rapid Spin, Lava Plume, Poison Fang, U-Turn, Fire Lash, Anchor Shot, Zing Zap
Flavor Moves: Belch, Brick Break, Burning Jealousy, Confide, Hyper Beam, Meteor Beam, Poison Gas, Poison Jab, Psych Up, Sludge Bomb, Steel Beam, Swagger, Venoshock | Protect, Endure, Substitute, Rest, Sleep Talk, Tera Blast, Helping Hand, Facade, Take Down
Description: The idea was to trap something, then either wear it down through Fire Lash or pivot to something else that can take advantage of it, which works surprisingly well with Regenerator. Poison Fang can potentially spread Toxics on switch-ins, and Zing Zap handles Waters not named Dirtle. Decent bulk allows it to tank a Water attack (hopefully) and take advantage of Steam Engine.

flareth13 Set #2 & BreloomBuddy Set #1
Name: Yulongate
Type: Water/Dragon
Abilities: Moxie/Drizzle
Stats: 75/100/85/115/90/80
Viable Moves: Victory Dance, Headlong Rush, Kowtow Cleave, U-Turn, Encore, Hydro Pump, Scald, Psychic, Spikes, Ice Beam
Flavor Moves: Aerial Ace, Aqua Jet, Aqua Ring, Brick Break, Dive, Draco Meteor, Dragon Breath, Dragon Claw, Dragon Pulse, Dragon Rush, Dragon Tail, Life Dew, Metal Claw, Rain Dance, Surf, Twister, Waterfall | Protect, Endure, Substitute, Rest, Sleep Talk, Tera Blast, Helping Hand, Facade, Take Down
Description: Pretty awkward pairing. Also, 4 Waters already exist. This leans more towards special Drizzle breaker sets, though the option for VD Moxie is always there, which plays similarly to DD Gyara. VD gets walled by Bacgnomia but are difficult to stop if you let it get rolling, special sets are very strong under rain but are stopped by bulky Water resists.

Description: bug fighting was taken so heres the next best option. we dont have a steel so heres a fat one. effective rocker that beats spinners by getting body press boosts on them (beware of fire punch smashicle though).

winners!

for the first time this mod, we have a tiebreaker between DuoM2's Agapest & Fragmented's Kickada! this tiebreaker was done entirely by RNG

but it turns out, there was not just one tiebreaker this slate, but two! This tiebreaker is between DuoM2's Orgma & anaconja's Asvesta!
Screenshot (95).png

For DuoM2 Set #1 & Fragmented Set #1, the winner is (once again) DuoM2 's Orgma!

Sigilyph Bro Set #1 & Turtlek Set #2
Name: Toxquito
Type: Bug/Poison
Viable Abilities: Merciless, Gorilla Tactics
Flavor Abilities: Poison Point
Stats: 45/105/100/100/70/100
Viable Moves: Barb Barrage, Toxic Spikes, Stomping Tantrum, Taunt, Bug Buzz, Fiery Dance, Skill Swap, U-Turn + Leech Life, Poison Jab, Sludge Bomb, Toxic
Flavor Moves: Acid Spray, Air Cutter, Air Slash, Assurance, Astonish, Dig, Dual Wingbeat, Grassy Glide, Infestation, Lash Out, Night Slash, Poison Sting, Quash, Skitter Smack, Thief, Trailblaze, Venoshock, X-Scissor, Universal TMs
Description: Only reason why'd you want something like Stomping Tantrum on a set is if it's the only useful coverage option. Skill Swap Gorilla Tactics is an interesting idea, but it is countered by the game mechanic of switching out. Tspikes are pretty good in general since the one existing Poison would rather run Levitate, making Barb Barrage that much harder to switch into (interesting to note how both Barb Barrage and Merciless can potentially punish the PHeal mons, with Skadraugr faring better). Special sets could work too, though they would have to find away to work around stuff like Orgma.

Gravity Monkey Set #2 & Rasdanation Set #2
Name: Jespar
Type: Fairy/Fighting
Viable Abilities: Shed Skin, Sheer Force
Flavor Abilities: -
Stats: 90/95/87/85/85/76
Viable Moves: Coil, Rest, Play Rough, High Horsepower, Slack Off, Defog, Focus Blast, Fire Blast, Blizzard + Moonblast
Flavor Moves: Ally Switch, Aura Sphere, Bulk Up, Charm, Dazzling Gleam, Drain Punch, Rock Slide, Sky Uppercut, Stone Edge, Superpower, Zen Headbutt, Universal TMs
Description: The RestSkin mon gets Slack Off as well. Coil is pretty cool since it also boosts the accuracy of its special moves, allowing it to hit Sheer Force-boosted attacks more reliably. This guy can function as a bulky sweeper with Coil or bulky defogger, with Sheer Force bolstering its offensive presence so that it isn't complete bait.

Gastlies Set #1 & LOrd Fernado Set #1
Name: Estrand
Type: Ghost/Ground
Viable Abilities: Flare Boost, Fluffy
Flavor Abilities: -
Stats: 55/105/90/95/65/75
Viable Moves: Nasty Plot, Thunderbolt, Earth Power, Volt Switch, Astral Barrage, Dragon Dance, Close Combat + Earthquake
Flavor Moves: Bulldoze, Curse, Pain Split, Shadow Claw, Will-O-Wisp, Universal TMs
Description: NP Astral Barrage sounds nasty, with potential Flare Boost on top of that, so SpAtk is kind of low to stop it from just one-shotting 252/252+ SpDef mons after a NP. And you can totally go mixed if you run Fluffy, since Close Combat on its own can hit pretty hard, given the state of our Ghost resists/immunities. Fluffy gives you some opportunities to set up NP or DD (or both) on the plethora of physical attackers, and Ghost+Fighting pretty much hits everything.
