+6 252+ Atk Regigigas Knock Off vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Fur Coat Sableye-Mega: 113-133 (37.1 - 43.7%) -- guaranteed 3HKO

A counter to Regigigas. Immune to spore and walls gigas all day due to unaware with normal resist and good defense, plus you can't lose your item. You can switch in as long as you are above 35% (ignoring crits) since you outspeed and can heal the next turn, or if they shift gear on the switch you can heal after they attack the next turn. You can also trap Regigigas and Imposter to use them to set up and potentially sweep. You can also run a variation with Thousand Waves + Sunsteel Strike but then you need Strength Sap to beat Imposter which can be unreliable.

252+ Atk Regigigas Facade (140 BP) vs. 252 HP / 252 Def Kartana: 96-113 (29.8 - 35%) -- 14.9% chance to 3HKO
252+ Atk Regigigas Knock Off vs. 252 HP / 252 Def Kartana: 60-71 (18.6 - 22%) -- possible 5HKO

Adamant Nature
- Knock Off
- Shift Gear
- Sacred Fire
- Diamond Storm

Mega Tyranitar can set up alongside Regigigas, resisting both of its attack moves while being immune to Spore due to the Poison, and can beat it 1v1 with Diamond Storm defense boosts.

+6 252 Atk Regigigas Facade (140 BP) vs. +2 252 HP / 252 Def Tyranitar-Mega: 157-186 (38.8 - 46%) -- guaranteed 3HKO
+1 252+ Atk Tyranitar-Mega Diamond Storm vs. 252 HP / 252 Def Regigigas: 237-280 (55.8 - 66%) -- 99.6% chance to 2HKO after Poison Heal

252+ Atk Regigigas Facade (140 BP) vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Ferrothorn: 87-103 (24.7 - 29.2%) -- possible 5HKO after Leftovers recovery
252+ Atk Regigigas Knock Off (97.5 BP) vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Ferrothorn: 81-96 (23 - 27.2%) -- 60.3% chance to 4HKO
Meanwhile you are immune to Spore, threaten to trap it, have Entrain to remove PH to kill it, and Topsy to deter setup. Also has the benefit of not losing to Avalanche variants because of Entrain over Core. Unaware works better but is a much more garbage set. Can lose to Lovely Kiss Gigas but we all know thats not a set.

ph sab. as long as this mon is alive at above like 30%, regi is not really doing anything. it's immune to sleep and doesn't really care about even boosted knock off because you recover it all off when you force them out and shield/recover. sableye at high percents is even more annoying because you can straight up go for uturn instead of core vs regi; if they stay in it's not really a big deal because you can just go right back to him. spiky shield can allow for safe toxic orb activation, cutting off any chance for them to play aggressively early game to try and knock it off.

+1 252+ Atk Regigigas Knock Off vs. 248 HP / 252 Def Sableye-Mega: 92-109 (30.3 - 35.9%) -- 11.6% chance to 4HKO after Poison Heal

Sassy Nature
- Knock Off

- U-Turn / Rapid Spin / Parting Shot

A counter to Regigigas, Magic Bounce TTar is immune to spore and resists both of its attacks, not caring about Knock Off because of its Z-Move. It also doesn't care about boosts because it can just use Topsy-Turvy to flip them.
+1 252 Atk Regigigas Facade (140 BP) vs. 252 HP / 252 Def Tyranitar-Mega: 118-140 (29.2 - 34.6%) -- 7.6% chance to 3HKO

knock off remove toxic orb then purify it loses its healing magic bounce so you can't get slepted and just keep spamming knock off till it dies or switches

Sassy Nature
- Doom Desire

This set can easily switch into the Regigigas set (it needs at least a +2 boost to do appreciable damage), cannot lose item due to knock off, and threatens the KO with Core Enforcer. It can even Doom Desire first, then Core enforcer and hit whatever switches in with heavy damage via Tail Glow. You can improof with Sturdy Shedinja, a Substitute Fairy-type, or Regenvest Registeel/Dialga. You also get a lot of utility such as blocking hazards and checking normalize gengar.

Week 3 is Mix and Mega! Our first Victim for MnM is...

Victini @ Red Orb
Ability: Victory Star
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpA / 252 Spe
Hasty Nature
- Blue Flare
- Glaciate
- Bolt Strike
- V-create

[Submissions end 14th July]

Reserving Lucarionite Zygarde.

Zygarde @ Lucarionite
Ability: Aura Break
EVs: 220 Atk / 48 SpD / 240 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Outrage
- Thousand Arrows
- Substitute
- Dragon Dance

Lucarionite Zygarde is an offensive check to Red Orb Victini thanks to the Mega Stone boosting its base speed where it is faster than it and threatens to OHKO it with Adaptability Thousand Arrows. While it does have a resistance to Fire, an immunity to Bolt Strike and can survived Glaciate, don't directly bring Zygarde on Victini as Sun Boosted V-Create is a 2HKO and it needs to be healthy to sweep or check it in the long run.

Posted the set so quickly because I'm about to sleep and my reservation might expired due to an tendency of overslept and I kind of took this set from one of MnM sample teams... :psynervous:

Calcs:
220 Atk Adaptability Zygarde Thousand Arrows vs. 0 HP / 0- Def Victini: 328-388 (96.1 - 113.7%) -- 75% chance to OHKO

252 Atk Victini V-create vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Zygarde: 187-221 (52.3 - 61.9%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock
0 SpA Victini Glaciate vs. 0 HP / 48 SpD Zygarde: 268-316 (75 - 88.5%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock

Hi I'd just like to point out that aesf's regen snorlax set is not a guaranteed counter to Magearna because of pain split shenanigans.

I ran the set on ladder a bit and lost to a guy running this mag set even tho I had lax.

Arceus-Rock : Counter

Arceus-Rock @ Stone Plate
Ability: Multitype
EVs: 252 HP / 240 Def / 16 Spe
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Judgment
- Recover
- Refresh / Will-O-Wisp
- Stealth Rock / Defog

Arceus-Rock is one of the most reliable counters to Victini available in Mix and Mega. Its typing allows it to resist Victini's Fire STABs, and its bulk entails that it takes minimal damage from our victim's coverage. Even without investment in Special Attack, Judgment is a threatening move to Victini:
0 SpA Stone Plate Arceus-Rock Judgment vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Victini: 302-356 (88.5 - 104.3%) -- 31.3% chance to OHKO
0 SpA Stone Plate Arceus-Rock Judgment vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Victini: 302-356 (88.5 - 104.3%) -- guaranteed OHKO after Stealth Rock

0 SpA Stone Plate Arceus-Rock Judgment vs. -1 0 HP / 0 SpD Victini: 456-536 (133.7 - 157.1%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Victini can do very little to retaliate, as its moves fail to 2HKO Arceus-Rock even after Stealth Rock damage:
252 Atk Victini V-create vs. 248 HP / 240+ Def Arceus-Rock: 141-167 (31.8 - 37.6%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Stealth Rock
4 SpA Victini Blue Flare vs. 248 HP / 0 SpD Arceus-Rock: 128-151 (28.8 - 34%) -- 99.7% chance to 3HKO after Stealth Rock
252 Atk Victini Bolt Strike vs. 248 HP / 240+ Def Arceus-Rock: 91-108 (20.5 - 24.3%) -- 83.6% chance to 4HKO after Stealth Rock
4 SpA Victini Glaciate vs. 248 HP / 0 SpD Arceus-Rock: 57-68 (12.8 - 15.3%) -- possible 6HKO after Stealth Rock

Besides, Arceus-Rock is far from mono-dimensional: not only does it work as a reliable check to powerful physical threats in the tier (covering Ho-oh, Entei, Victini, Pinsirite Magearna and Zeraora, Weavile...), it can also pressure some defensive or utility-oriented birds (such as Zapdos, Mandibuzz, and Noivern), and exploit this to set Rocks or to Defog. By using Will-O-Wisp on the switch, it can even cripple threatening physical attackers that it struggles to check.
The fact that Judgment guarantees sufficient offensive pressure gives Arceus-Rock two move slots that are customizable to the team's needs.
To the purpose of solely countering Victini, Refresh and Stealth Rock are the most useful, albeit barely needed, options.

As far as EVs are concerned, the speed investment allows Arceus to outspeed 252 base 90s with neutral Natures. It is evident that for the sheer role of Victini counter, placing the 16 Speed EVs in Defense and Special Defense would be more beneficial.

Thanks for reading! :blobnom:

Blue Orb Buzzwole as counter

Buzzwole @ Blue Orb
Ability: Beast Boost
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpD
Careful Nature
- Bulk Up
- Roost
- Hammer Arm
- Ice Punch / Stone Edge

Is immune to the Fire Stabs. Has great bulk to shrug off Bolt Strike and Glaciate. Has recovery. Can chip down with Hammer Arm or Stone Edge or just boost up.
252 Atk Victini Bolt Strike vs. 252 HP / 4 Def Buzzwole: 107-126 (25.5 - 30.1%) -- guaranteed 4HKO
4 SpA Victini Glaciate vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Buzzwole: 59-70 (14.1 - 16.7%) -- possible 6HKO
0 Atk Buzzwole Hammer Arm vs. 0 HP / 0- Def Victini: 90-106 (26.3 - 31%) -- guaranteed 4HKO
0 Atk Buzzwole Stone Edge vs. 0 HP / 0- Def Victini: 240-284 (70.3 - 83.2%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

Reserving Giratina-O

Giratina-Origin: COUNTER

Giratina-Origin @ Griseous Orb
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 244 Def / 252 SpA / 12 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Draco Meteor
- Hex
- Thunder Wave
- Defog

As a Dragon type, Giratina naturally resists Victini’s strong fire and electric attacks. Giratina’s lack of a 4x weakness to ice ensures that its sheer bulk can easily tank any attack Victini throws its way.

252 Atk Victini V-create vs. 0 HP / 244 Def Giratina-Origin in harsh sun: 175-207 (39.6 - 46.9%) -- guaranteed 3HKO
252 Atk Victini Bolt Strike vs. 0 HP / 244 Def Giratina-Origin: 56-66 (12.6 - 14.9%) -- possible 7HKO
4 SpA Victini Blue Flare vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Giratina-Origin in harsh sun: 149-176 (33.7 - 39.9%) -- guaranteed 3HKO
4 SpA Victini Glaciate vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Giratina-Origin: 134-158 (30.3 - 35.8%) -- 35% chance to 3HKO

As shown, Victini can only secure a 3HKO on Giratina, with added risks for Victini such as lowering stats and potential misses.

Furthermore, with Special Attack investment and Ghost stab boosted by Griseous Orb, Giratina also threatens Victini on offense, OHKOing Victini with any sort of chip.

252+ SpA Griseous Orb Giratina-Origin Hex (65 BP) vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Victini: 266-314 (78 - 92%) -- guaranteed OHKO after Stealth Rock

If Victini is at full, you also have the option of crippling its speed with Thunder Wave (Giratina’s best status option) and OHKOing with boosted Hex. Or, you could choose to forgo Hex and almost always OHKO from full with Shadow Ball.

For EVs, 12 Speed allows Giratina to outspeed Victini at -1, along with outspeeding paralyzed Metagrossite Kartana. The rest is poured in Defense and Special Attack to maximize Giratina’s bulk and power.

Giratina also offers plenty of utility to teams outside of countering Victini. With Levitate, it is a Defogger that forces out Primal Groudon, the tier’s best rocks setter. Thunder Wave is Giratina’s best status move, and it can provide speed control and threaten statused mons with a boosted Hex. Alternatively, Giratina can get valuable chip damage and/or cripple physical attackers with Will-o-Wisp or Toxic.
