Latias @ Leftovers
EVs: 252 Def, 252 HP, 4 SpA
Bold Nature
- Charm
- Dragon Pulse
- Recover
- Thunder Wave/Psyshock/Whatever move you want
This is one of the funniest ways to troll some of Latias' checks/counters real hard, especially if they have pokemon capable of (normally) pursuit trapping or hitting Latias hard on the physical end. By charming your opponent once, it lowers opponents' attack stats to the point that:
1. Tyranitar's Crunch is BARELY a 3hko (does low-mid 30%s) or 2hko if banded, and its pursuit does arguably laughable damage (not even 20%, if unbanded)
2. Scizor's banded Bug Bite becomes only a POSSIBLE 2hko (guaranteed 2hko in sand/hail); banded U-turn doesn't even 2hko Latias
3. Other pokemon like Weavile, Conkeldurr, Mamoswine, and a list of other physical threats are severely crippled by the effects of Charm
Since most players sport some kind of offense on Latias, most opponents normally don't Taunt this Latias since for the most part, no one EVER sees this set in existance, other than when they have battled me. Dragon pulse is a decent move that makes sure that Latias isn't complete bait. The last move slot is a toss-up, but I use thunder wave to cripple opponents further. Psyshock is another decent move if you want to hit Keldeo, Terrakion, Gengar, or whatever is weak to it.
This Latias has issues against pokemon like Volcarona, Dragonite, Salamence, Latios, and the above pokemon with Attack boosts but it's really worth a try because it can be highly effective if used correctly!
