Concept: Fakemon Duo
Pokémon Name: Straigar [prevo is Tyker]
Typing: Electric/Rock
Base Stats
: 115 / 95 / 90 / 85 / 80 / 60 [525] (Tyker's is 85 / 75 / 60 / 65 / 50 / 30)
Height: 1.4m
Weight: 156kg
Notable Moves:
… Earthquake, Rock Slide/Boulder Rush, Hidden Power
… Thunderbolt, Hidden Power, Thunder, Crunch
… Toxic, Rest, Sleep Talk, Protect, Thunder Wave, Roar, Curse, Screech
Tackle, Tail Whip, Thundershock, Bite, Thunder Wave, Rock Throw, Spark, Take Down, Agility, Crunch, Thunderbolt, Rock Slide, Boulder Rush, Rollout, Mud Slap, Earthquake, Toxic, Zap Cannon, Hidden Power, Hyper Beam, Protect, Endure, Thunder, Return, Double Team, Swagger, Sleep Talk, Rest, Cut, Strength, Flash, Screech
Description: Electric mons have a problem standing out in GSC due to Zapdos and Raikou being so prominent. Straiger's Rock-type and access to Earthquake give it a lot of value in checking both Electrics and non-EQ Snorlax. It does end up struggling against other threats, namely Marowak, Nidoking and Golem. It ends up having a lot of positive contrast, especially making use of Rock's defensive value which is normally difficult to do. Crunch coverage for Exeggutor is also pretty cool.

Pokémon Name: Werelycan [prevo is Warfurs]
Typing: Ice/Fighting
Base Stats: 90 / 100 / 75 / 95 / 80 / 85 [525]
Height: 2.3m
Weight: 201kg
Notable Moves:

… Rest, Sleep Talk, Roar, Curse, Sharpen,
BITE, LEER, POWDER SNOW, SWAGGER, LOW_KICK, FAINT_ATTACK, ICY_WIND, SCARY_FACE, SLASH, ICE_PUNCH, BLIZZARD, HYPER_BEAM, DYNAMIC_PUNCH, MIST, TOXIC, HEADBUTT, HIDDEN_POWER, HYPER_BEAM, PROTECT, ENDURE, FRUSTRATION, RETURN, SWAGGER, SWIFT, MUD_SLAP, THIEF, ROCK_SMASH, STRENGTH

Prompt: Fakemon Duo
Pokémon Name: Werelycan [prevo is Warfurs]
Typing: Dark/Fighting
Base Stats: 85 / 105 / 75 / 95 / 80 / 85 [525] (Warfurs is 45 / 75 / 55 / 75 / 60 / 55)
Height: 2.3m
Weight: 201kg
Notable Moves:
… Cross Chop, Earthquake, Preying Swipe
… Crunch, Hidden Power, Icy Wind, Pursuit
… Rest, Sleep Talk, Roar, Curse, Swords Dance, Parry
Tackle, Leer, Bite, Fury Swipes, Low Kick, Safeguard, Pursuit, Crunch, Slash, Screech, Sharpen, Cross Chop, Roar, Dynamicpunch, Headbutt, Toxic, Hidden Power, Hyper Beam, Protect, Endure, Return, Swagger, Double Team, Swift, Blizzard, Icy Wind, Ice Punch, Earthquake, Mud Slap, Thief, Thunderpunch, Rock Smash, Strength, Sleep Talk, Rest, Parry, Preying Swipe, Swords Dance, Outrage, Mist,
Description: A typing change ends up being a big help here. Werelycan's gameplay remains the same: punishing switches with Icy Wind. It has strong synergy with spikes builds, and so the typing change was made to synergize better with Cloyster, letting it deal with Ghosts looking to take Cloyster's boom, and being able to scare Starmie from spinning with Crunch. Its counters, of course, change as a result, as it struggles with Heracross, Skarmory, Scizor and Machamp.

Prompt: Concept: To Space World!
Typing: Normal/Fighting
Base Stats: 77 / 80 / 70 / 78 / 77 / 80 [462 BST]
Height: 3'11
Weight: 47 lb
Notable Moves:
… Slash, Cross Chop, Hidden Power Ghost, Vital Throw
… Hidden Powers of various types
… Swords Dance, Agility, Baton Pass, Rest, Sleep Talk
Farfetch'd's movepool
Pokémon Name: Luxswan (can use Stick)
Typing: Grass/Flying
Base Stats:
82 / 80 / 75 / 78 / 82 / 65 [462 BST]
Height: 3'11
Weight: 47 lb
Notable Moves:
… Aeroblast, Hidden Power, Preying Swipe
… Razor Leaf
… Swords Dance, Agility, Baton Pass, Rest, Sleep Talk, Whirlwind
Farfetch'd's movepool + Razor Leaf, Hyper Beam and Aeroblast

Description: Stick + crit moves = 50% crit rate in Gen 2. This is a fair bit of an overhaul here, but this core concept remains the same. Rather than giving it Fighting coverage to break through Flying resists, I gave it Razor Leaf to achieve part of this goal. This still leaves Steels as a big counter to it (especially Skarmory), but I think that, given the RNG involved with using this Pokemon, it helps to ensure it can't just randomly blow up something (+2 Aeroblast crit only does 54% max to Skarmory), and Razor Leaf not getting SD boosts helps if it needs to be revenge-killed (it does 59% max to Ttar).

Pokémon Name: Kazappelin
Prompt: Gen3+ mon
Typing
: Electric/Poison
Base Stats: 90 / 102 / 100 / 98 / 65 / 75 [530]
Height: 1.7m
Weight: 102.3 kg
Notable Moves:
… Explosion, Sludge Bomb
… Thunder/Thunderbolt, Surf
… Spikes, Thunder Wave
Qwilfish + Thunder, Thunderbolt, Thunder Wave, Zap Cannon and Explosion
What if your spiker had a better Zapdos/Raikou matchup at the cost of being 4x weak to the most common physical coverage move. Kazappelin offers and improved Zapdos matchup, with Thunder only doing about 30% to it. Its typing unfortunately leaves it heavily troubled by Grounds, but access to Surf can help a bit. I think this would offer more variation in Spikes offense builds that can cover for its weakness to Golem/Steelix. While not nearly as strong as Zapdos or Raikou, its utility, access to boom, and stronger STAB for Exeggutor allows it to compete for a teamslot, especially on dual-Electric teams.
Gold Dex Entry: "The long spines on its body can project electric waves through the water, paralyzing nearby prey."
Silver Dex Entry: "Its poisonous barbs emit electric shocks that can be used to immobilize foes much larger than its own size."
Evolves from Qwilfish with a Thunder Stone
Typing: Electric/Poison
Base Stats: 85 / 95 / 95 / 85 / 75 / 75 [510]
Height: 1.7m
Weight: 62.3 kg
Notable Moves:
… Explosion, Malnourish/Sludge Bomb
… Thunder/Thunderbolt, Surf, Ice Beam
… Spikes, Thunder Wave
Qwilfish + Thunder, Thunderbolt, Thunder Wave, Zap Cannon and Explosion
Description: This one didn't need too much of a change. I moved some stats around to optimize it a bit less, and it continues to draw on a wide array of OU Pokemon to stand out. It offers OU another Spikes option, using its different typing to have different matchups than Cloyster. Malnourish and Spikes is an amazing combo for offense, with Malnourish forcing so many switches and causing Spikes damage to really add up. Statwise, it compares to a slower Nidoking, who is also quite difficult to switch into. As an Electric, while it frailer and doesn't hit as hard, it gets coverage without needing to take up its Hidden Power, and it can boom (not to mention Spikes). While it seems like it can do a bit of everything, it can't recover outside of Rest and its average stats will prevent it from being invincible. The 4x Earthquake weakness is also rather easy to tech for.

Concept: New Legendary
Pokémon Name: Aquatro [aqua + quatro]
Typing: Water/Flying
Base Stats: 90 / 100 / 85 / 95 / 125 / 85 [580]
Height: 6'07
Weight: 363.7 lb
Notable Moves:
… Aeroblast, Hidden Power Ground
… Hydro Pump, Surf, Icy Wind, Ice Beam
… Curse, Rest, Sleep Talk, Toxic
Universals; Wing Attack, Water Gun, Rain Dance, Agility, Reflect, Rock Smash, Blizzard, Sunny Day, Mud Slap, Sandstorm, Swift, Detect, Steel Wing, Fly
The fourth legendary bird! Plays as a fairly strong mixed attacker with bulk to spare. Aeroblast pops a lot of holes, and the typical Flying resists don't handle taking Hydro Pump well. Icy Wind is pretty cool here too to compensate for its lower speed, and pairs well with Spikes support, making it difficult to switch into with the speed drop. As a bulky Water, it loves not having to worry about spikes itself. Lack of Earthquake and Thunder keep it from being a strictly better Gyarados.
Pokémon Name: Toxicuatro [toxic + quatro, spanish for four]
Typing: Poison/Flying
Base Stats: 90 / 125 / 100 / 85 / 95 / 85 [580]
Height: 6'07
Weight: 363.7 lb
Notable Moves:
… Sludge Bomb, Drill Peck
… Hidden Power
… Curse, Rest, Sleep Talk, Toxic, Swords Dance
Wing Attack, Sludge, Poison Gas, Agility, Swords Dance, Sludge Bomb, Haze, Drill Peck, Curse, Roar, Toxic, Rock Smash, Hidden Power, Sunny Day, Snore, Hyper Beam, Protect, Rain Dance, Endure, Frustration, Return, Mud Slap, Swagger, Double Team, Sleep Talk, Sandstorm, Swift, Detect, Rest, Steel Wing, Fly
Description: The fourth legendary bird! A Swords Dance breaker is rather rare in GSC, with Tentacruel being the main option here. Toxicuatro hits harder out of the gate, but will find it harder to chip Steels without a different secondary STAB. With a decently fast haze, it can also be an emergency check to CurseLax or DrumExo. Appreciates support from Zapdos/Vaporeon in dealing with Skarmory and Steelix, as even HP Fire won't be enough to break them. (also i have a future idea themed around the legendary birds and it gets even better with this guy there, so plz vote for it!)

This one is the same as the original submission, but with a larger learnset.
Move Name: Tight Grip

PP: 10/12/14/16

Suggested Distribution: :tangela: :onix: :shuckle: :lickitung: (Tunguru) :tentacool: :pinsir: :ekans: :dratini: :octillery: :bellsprout:
Description: This pulls on the Embargo effect from Gen 4 to create another form of Leftovers denial, sharing this role with Thief. This effect makes its users a pain to switch into, especially with Spikes support. There are a few users of it I don want to highlight though. This is quite powerful on Steelix, who can shuffle around with roar while denying Leftovers. Tentacruel also finds value in this as a spinner, combining its awesome typing with its ability to deny Leftovers to give it a great matchup against Cloyster and Forretress. Geko suggested on the Discord that Animon could run this for Snorlax matchups, negating its Leftovers while preserving its own. More offensive Pokemon like Tunguru or Dragonite can use it to land KOs easier (with disabling Leftovers), especially with Spikes support. Also shoutouts to lead Victreebel using Tight Grip to shut off Alarm Clocks so it can sleep them.

Prompt:
New Item
Item Name: Draining Relic
Effect: Allows the user to restore 1/3 of the damage dealt by any attack as HP. (Stacks with 50% draining moves like Flower Mortar, Giga Drain, etc. to restore a total of 2/3 of the damage dealt as HP). Infinite use.
Description: The Draining Relic would serve as a superior replacement to Leftovers when held by particularly offensive Pokémon who would, on average, find themselves able to restore more HP by wailing on foes and stealing chunks of their health at a time than they would by trying to bide time/turns for the small, passive recovery of Leftovers.
Resubmitting Draining Relic (as is) because, though it didn’t quite make the cut in its debut slate, it came just short of doing so. Additionally, I’ve heard some new support for the item’s concept since voting for that slate closed, so I figured I’d toss it out again and see what folks think about it this time.

Move Name:
Frost Pulse
Typing: Ice
BP: 70
PP: 10 (Max 16)
Accuracy: 100%
Secondary Effects: Has a 20% chance to freeze the target
Suggested Distribution: Aroofaondo, Jynx, Cloyster, Articuno, Piloswine, Lapras, Dewgong, Sneasel, Delibird
Description: Pretty straight-forward, it’d be the only move in the game with greater than a 10% chance to freeze! With the new status-blocking items about to be in play, I figured this could be a neat way to justify running the Heat Pack on occasion, if certain Pokémon decide to start running this move with any degree of regularity. The 20% chance to freeze is significant, especially when fishing for good RNG against a switch-in (say, a special wall like Snorlax), but the move only being 70 base power is kind of crappy. Only Ice-types would have access to this move, so you’d always opt for Ice Beam or even Blizzard if raw power is your only concern, and running both moves on the same set would likely be difficult to get away with.
New Submission:
Move Name:
Frost Pulse
Typing: Ice
BP: 80
PP: 15 (Max 24)
Accuracy: 100%
Secondary Effects: Has a 20% chance to lower target’s SpDef by 1 stage.
Suggested Distribution: Aroofaondo, Jynx, Cloyster, Articuno, Piloswine, Lapras, Dewgong, Sneasel, Delibird
Description: My original idea for Frost Pulse was to make a competitively-viable Ice-type move whose secondary effect isn’t simply “has a 10% chance to freeze”. In my original sub, I upped that to 20% to make it stand out, but that turned the move almost entirely into a freeze fishing button, which I know a lot of people aren’t a fan of (myself included, to some degree). After reworking it, I’ve turned the move into an Ice-type Crunch clone! For many teams, their answer to a purely-special attacking Ice-type Pokémon is a special wall (Snorlax, for example). With this move’s secondary effect, a well-timed SpDef drop against the opponent’s switch-in could put them in a tricky situation. For example, Aroofaondo has an 80% chance to 3hko a -1 Snorlax with Fire Blast. This version of Frost Pulse would allow Ice-types to have a better chance at punishing switch-ins that would typically dust off their attacks, banking on a 20% chance to make the opponent more vulnerable (in many cases, either forcing them to switch out or risk going down) rather than the typical 10% chance of getting freeze hax with Ice Beam or Blizzard. As opposed to the original Frost Pulse, this move would most likely be something that you run in place of Ice Beam on a given moveset, as it still hits pretty hard at a base 80 power.
Flavor: “The user lets loose a wave of frost at their foe. Occasionally, the pulse chills the target so much that it inhibits their ability to defend against subsequent attacks”.

you deal big damage, might also punish Leftovers healing the target above 50 HP. also punishes healing

Move Name: Conjuration
Typing: Ghost
BP:
PP: 5 (Max 8)
Accuracy: — (never fails)
Effects: The user sacrifices 1/2 of their max HP to form a substitute. Whatever Pokémon is present on the opposing side when this move is used will be afflicted by the Curse status until they either faint or switch out.
Suggested Distribution: Gastly, Haunter, Gengar, Misdreavus, Horatekku, Pyronoir
This could be a heck of a tool for Ghost-types going forward. This move essentially has the same effect as Curse does for Ghosts, but with the added bonus of receiving a substitute! If you can manage to use this move on the same turn that your opponent switches Pokémon, then you get a sub up and force them to either attack you the next turn to be rid of the sub and take curse damage, or switch out again to get rid of the curse status but still have to deal with the sub. If this seems too good, one way to balance it might be to make the subs only have the normal 1/4 of the user’s max HP, but still cost 1/2 of their max HP to use the move. I’d leave it up to the community to decide that, if this move made the cut.

Use Conjuration on Mono Lax = gg A way for ghost types to punish their checks switching in. As the Curse effect takes place right the turn it was used, this means you risk your mon get an additional 50% of their max health cut while your opponent gets a free sub by switching around in front of a Conjuration mon.

not gonna type it out again so
It’s a wombo-combo move! Electric and grass are types that go very well together. Grass hits Ground types that are immune to electric moves (Exolotl I’m looking at you), and Electric hits Flying types that resist Grass. It also gives Grass types a small boost in base power. However, to use either the type of your choice, you have to use a possibly subpar type first before rotating back to the optimal type. It’s also slightly weaker then Thunderbolt for Electric types.

Prompt: New Item
Item Name: Protective Cuffs
Effect: Raises holder’s special defense by 50%, but prevents holder from using status moves (Assault Vest)
At first glance, Protective Cuffs might seem like a very strong item in the CSI meta. Increasing a Pokémon’s special defense while giving a possibly minor drawback seems scary. It allows some Pokémon to have the ability to tank special hits even better then they previously could, like Snorlax. It also allows for frailer defensive Pokemon to gain the ability to take hits on the special side, allowing them to switch in on threats like Zapdos, Gengar, and more. However, there are also downsides to it. No status moves mean that there is almost no way the Pokémon can recover from damage taken, or use any other status moves. Having to give up leftovers as an item makes you way more vunerable to chip damage, especially with no access to recovery. A big example for this would be something like Snorlax. With Protective Cuffs, it seems almost unbreakable on the special side. However, it can easily be chipped down due to lack of Rest, and it also can’t set up with Curse, leaving it vulnerable to status effects, chip damage, and physical attackers.
Protective Cuffs act as an item that can allow attackers to have a defensive orientation as well as seeing how defensive pokemon can act without status moves.

Move Name: Essence Steal
Typing: Ghost
BP: -
PP: 8
Accuracy: 100
Secondary Effects: Lowers the opponent's special attack and heals the equivalent HP of the opponent's level (e.g. heals 100 HP against a level 100 opponent). Normal types are immune.
Suggested Distribution: :gastly: :haunter: :gengar:, :misdreavus:, (Pyronoir), :drowzee: :hypno:, :murkrow:, :umbreon:, :slowking:
This should be pretty powerful in all honesty. I've decided to keep it at 8 PP to prevent it from being spammed as a defensive option, allowing it to be a bit more of an 'offensive defensive' option instead. No damage is dealt to the opponent.

Description: Edited Rezzo's powerful Essence Steal in order to make it more useful throught longer battles while also ensuring it would not be too overly overpowered. It is now way more prediction reliant with the priority restriction which means that outplaying pursuit trappers with this move will be more needed. Added some mons i could see getting the move.

Move Name: Soft Shell

The move distribution is a little ambitious and I don't believe everything should get it (though that'd likely not be problematic). As mentioned above, Shuckle definitely shouldn't have access to this move. I don't believe that the Squirtle family should have access either, but it might be fine to add.

The +1 priority idea is to actually give the Soft Shell user a disadvantage against an attacking opponent who will land extra damage on them. It's otherwise not an advantageous thing at all to move first with this move.

Pokémon Name: カゼラッタ [Kazeratta]
Typing: Dark / Normal
Base Stats: 75 HP / 71 Atk / 60 Def / 112 SpA / 99 (+29) SpD / 93 (-9) Spe
Height: 0.9m
Weight: 23.2kg
Competitively Notable Moves:
Super Fang, Counter, Preying Swipe
Crunch, Ice Beam, Thunder, Pursuit, Thief, Surf
Screech, Roar
Everything else within Raticate's movepool, + Scary Face, Surf, Hype Up and Crunch
Honestly I just want to see a good Dark type make it into OU, so I've gone for a pure Dark type that's offensive, as it is unique for gen 2. Picked Raticate as a candidate for an evolution since it has a good toolkit (boltbeam, Pursuit, fast), and pumped up its special attack to a better level to complement.

With Preying Swipe added, Kazeratta now has two options of trapping! To help this land harder I've added the Normal Type onto it (which otherwise only amplifies its already-mortifying Fighting type weakness)
Dex Entry: ラッタ [Raticate] living in the city depths where there is minimal sunlight will become カゼラッタ [Kazeratta] if they reach 100 days without seeing daylight.
(feel free to use Alolan Raticate's sprite as a placeholder for this if it wins)

Name: Comet Crash
Typing:
BP: 100

Secondary Effects: The user may also gain a random stat boost. (Think Ancient Power, but for a single stat! 30% chance?) The user suffers recoil if the move misses.

Suggested Distribution: :golem: :steelix:, (Terricks) :donphan: :miltank:

Description:
“The user launches themselves in the air before ramming into the target with the force of a comet.”
With elements of Ancient Power and High Jump Kick, This move serves as a hard hitting but risky move that gives a few pokemon listed above a powerful STAB move and others a hard hitting coverage move.

I believe in these littles guys. They were were submitted in a slate with some really strong submissions but here I think these little dudes have a chance!

Prompt: April Fools Day
Pokemon Name: Chuzip
Typing: Normal/Electric
Base Stats: 82/80/72/47/115/114

Height: 1’0
Weight: 3lbs
Notable Moves-

Physical: Swarm Attack, Tri Attack, Super Fang, Hype Up, Rapid-Spin

Special: Thunder, Hidden Power

Status: Baton Pass, Barrier, Rest, Thunder Wave

Movepool: Tackle, Quick Attack, Bite, Spark, Thunder Shock, Charm, Hyper Fang, Splash, Sleep Talk, universal TMs

Competitive: Don’t let these little fellas fool you, they come packaged with a few tricks up their (nonexistent) sleeves. From Spike removal to Baton Pass allows Chuzip to play a supportive status inflictor while packing not just Paralysis but also Burn and Freeze with the use of Tri-Attack. However its rather unimpressive hp, physical defense and both attack stats leave it outclassed by many in the meta as well as having a weakness to two fairly common types. It has some saving graces though. Immunity to Ghost moves and its pretty high Sp.D and Speed.

Lore: “Always found in groups of three. Chuzips are often seen in cities chewing happily away at electric poles and other wires. Many blackouts around the region can be traced back to these little trouble makers. They do this to take electricity to power their attacks.

“The largest of the group is called the Flagger. It issues commands via different tail signals.”

Add the Dark Type for additional STAB options and you have a hard hitting Special Attacker. However that Dark type also serves as a double edged sword not helped by Psymese’s lackluster physical defense. Bug Types will have a field day with this cat.

Lore: “Often thought to be both a bringer of good fortune and bad luck, Psymese have become both a popular pet for some towns but avoided like the plague in others.

Notable Moves:
: Swarm Attack, Megahorn, Hidden Power Ghost, Submission, Double Edge, Dig
: Thief, Rest, Sleep Talk
: Protect, Swords dance
Flavor Moves: Pinsir's movepool + Night Shade, Destiny Bond, Mud Slap
Mechanical Design: After getting the idea of making a bug ghost, i came to realisation that i needed to balance it out because it was admitedly very powerful and could eaisly highly outclass other ghosts. Thats why i avoided giving it shadow ball or earthquake like horatekku does, as well as severily decreasing its speed to make it way slower than other bugs and ghosts. Pierzer is meant to to be to pinsir what scizor is to scyther: it even has the same way of distributing the stats as scizor but adding spa instead of attack. What makes pinsir be relevant is its ability to be inmune to normal/fighting moves while also resisting ground attacks. This makes it a great earthquake snorlax check, that till loses if snorlax is packing flamethrower or similar coverage. It can also attempt to make holes in the opposing team with swords dance, but is kept in check by its slow speed and relatively low speed.
Visual Design: Got the inspiration from that mask the pinsir had to make it bug ghost, which is cool since its a typing that is surprisinly really good in this generation. Name is directly inspired by the way scyther and scizor's names are very close to actual words, with its name being closed to the word piercer.
This is a resub of Gekokeso's original idea which I loved a lot, but with the added context of there now being a lot of ghosts all around... We could do something else.
Bug Flying is meme'd on in later gens, and even in the early gens, but that's because they don't have good stats or stabs.

THIS however is true power. With the stats not even needing to be changed, we get to see a bulky and slower version of the Mega Pinsir we see in later gen... Also I think the flavor keeps the spirit of the original. B)

I ALSO struggled with this move for a long time as well! You may of seen me in the discord try back during our item phase on making a signature item for Blastoise and the Gator, but just couldn't get something I was happy with submitted in-time for the voting phase.

Never fear, for I figured out a perfect fix: GSC Brine! It's really just Brine with it's number and effect, but with a much smaller distribution, and in a metagame where it can actually show off it's unique effects! I know it seems like a rip-off of just Brine(it is) but if you've seen how much effort I've put into trying to make this work you can trust when I say I'm really happy with this concept.
So strange how the idea was always just so simple, and I'm out here trying to make "Splashes the foe with water and makes them damp, when damp, opponent receives recoil when using electric type attacks" :spinda: ...

RESUB OF NATURE'S REND' NO CHANGE

Nature’s Rend
100 bp, ground type, 100% acc, 30% chance to poison, 16 pp

The attacker engulfs the target with vegetative waste and decay expunged from the earth. This can poison Steel types.

Pokemon that know it: :venusaur: :meganium: :celebi: Kipuro

This last one was actually made when Kipuro was coming up! It's part of it's lore on how it tears up human structures and eats metal to make proper fertilizer. Rn it doesn't have EQ, because the flavor doesn't match it, although mechanically it should. This does more than just threaten steel types with PSN(forretress REALLY doesn't want to be PSN'd), as ANYONE hit by it that's not a poison type can be threatened with the notion of being PSN'd, making this a stupidly good pressure tool even with all the resttalk going on.

~

Sorry for the delay on this one!

I've resubbed only one pokemon here(and it's not even my own!) because I believe the concept itself was far too good to pass up.

I've also resubbed what I believe to be a very good Water type move to add in, as well as two signature moves that we could really benefit from having.

Frost Pulse
Typing: Ice
Occasionally, the pulse chills the target so much that it inhibits their ability to defend against subsequent attacks”.

not gonna type it out again so
It’s a wombo-combo move!

Prompt: Resub!
Pokémon Name: カゼラッタ [Kazeratta]
Typing: Dark / Normal
Base Stats
: 75 HP / 71 Atk / 60 Def / 112 SpA / 99 (+29) SpD / 93 (-9) Spe

Typing:
BP: 100
PP: 12
Accuracy: 80

Pokemon Name: Psymese
Typing: Psychic/Dark

Description: This submission once probably the one that needed the most work. The original submission was rather lackluster but now I think (Don't quote me on this its 3 am here in my time I'm tired) I found some form of a sweet spot by adding a few new moves to its toolset and this sick as heck sprite found by Ema. Thanks you Em for the input!) Basically, this cat is an annoying sleep pursuit user now.

Competitive: For this entry, I wanted to incorporate both Female and Male Meowstics play styles and mold it into one Pokémon that can serve as both a speedy special sweeper with decent coverage and viable support pokemon who can set up Reflect/Lightscreens, inflict Sleep and other tricky nonsense.

Base Stats: 65 / 125 / 120 / 75 / 70 / 45 (BST 500 )

RESUB OF SHINY'S 'ENLIGHTENMENT' NO CHANGE

Move Name: Enlightenment

Work!
Very difficult vote with a lot of great subs:

Stuff I LOVE!
1. Conjuration
Can kinda dig it as a cool way to punish rest-talk, as it plays around almost with the Nightmare volatile (but with a different condition).

2. Werelycan
Adds another good Dark type to OU that synergizes on Spikes offense. Icy Wind + Spikes to punish switches is really cool, and its access to Pursuit differentiates it from Machamp. Also the sprite is gorgeous!

3. Kazappelin
Y'all know I love this mon. An offensive combination between Nidoking and Raikou that, while having lower stats than both, combines great coverage with the Electric-type and access to Spikes. It very notably gives us an Electric resist that can't be beaten by Zapdos/Raikou's preferred Hidden Powers, which makes it valuable in building (currently that's only Raikou, Kiporu and Magneton). A Spiker with a different defensive profile is also pretty cool, especially one that will check some top special threats (which Cloyster can't do).

4. Straiger
Like Kazappelin, it's an Electric-resist that can't be beaten by the Electric's coverage move. It also ends up checking Firelax pretty well. Having more options for our Electric mons I think is valuable, given that they are a cornerstone of teambuilding. Mon ends up being very anti-meta and will likely find a place on a lot of teams.

5. Luxswan
Offensive Grass is really only Exeggutor right now (Kipuro has some problems with its offense), so another one is pretty cool. Also adds another Signature Item mon which is cool, especially one that doesn't have to worry about Spikes. Typing is very exploitable, especially as it doesn't resist Electric like you'd want an Electric to, but can be pretty nasty if given the turn to do so.

Stuff That Could Be Cool
6. Tight Grip
Lower risk, lower reward Thief. Ignores the item but doesn't actually remove it. A pretty powerful offensive tool if something can afford to slot it. It will help with wallbreaking given all the healing items we have.

7. Frost Pulse
An Ice move that doesn't freeze is pretty cool. Just generally seems interesting.

8. Kazeratta
I am here for Rat evo. Preying Swipe+Pursuit is a pretty cool combination, and Super Fang would be an interesting tool to bring to the meta.

9. Power Plant
Electric/Grass coverage in one move is definitely unique, especially for the lower tier Electrics. I don't think the Grasses would find too much value in it (other than for Flying).

Things I am Indifferent To
10. Toxiquatro
Crobat with Swords Dance. Simple, but effective.

11. Menacing Veil
Charm on entry seems excessive. I know its at the cost of your item slot, but I don't think 2 stages is completely warranted. -1 should be enough given the power level here.

12. Fang of Flames
Interesting item to punish rest-talk but I'm not sure this is the Pokemon for it given that it doesn't really check common Rest/Talkers

13. Protective Cuffs
Assault Vest is pretty cool, but I don't know if this is the meta for it.

14. Enlightenment
Would honestly like this way more if it wasn't Tunguru signature, because there are lots that would love a tool like this.

15. Psymese
Feels like it needed a bit more time in the oven, especially once Kazeratta got subbed.

16. Chuzip
Really just not sure what it is supposed to do.

17. Sapphire Claws
Your other volatile effect was way cooler and I wish you would've done it over just Brine.

18. Essence Steal
A limited recovery tool makes it more appealing than Soft Shell for me. Its almost like a special Strength Sap, but the fixed healing balances it being learned by some pretty powerful mons.

19. Fearful Mask
Good defensive item without being focused on healing. Should fit right in.

20. Soft Shell
Honestly just kinda tired of defensive stuff after all the items.

21. Draining Relic
We have a lot of healing items and I'm not convinced there's a need for much more, and I can't think of some mons that would want this over our other items (maybe 4attacks lax?)

Things I'm Not Interested In
22. Comet Crash
We just got Boulder Rush so I don't see the need for another Rock move right now

23. Nature's Rend
A stronger Sludge Bomb on a better offensive type feels very overtuned. Kipuro with Ground coverage also feels potentially problematic as a very optimized tool for it.

24. Pierzer
Aeroblast with this level of power may very likely have meta warping impacts. Yes we could nerf it by removing Aeroblast, but then the mon feels very generic, and so I don't think there's a way to salvage it.

I don't feel much for the other submissions to be honest (even with the killer spritework some received), sorry

1. Draining relic-residual healing is big in gsc and being able to heal from any damage dealing attack is big. Its nice alternative to the ever present lefties.
2. Soft shell-seems like pretty strong recovery option considering its one of the few priority moves in the gen. It comes at the cost of lowering the user's overall bulk. could see pokemon with huge defensive stats taken advantage of this and the proposed distribution does a good job of showing this.
3. Fearful mask-This is better version of menacing veil. It sacrifices the recovery of leftovers to essentially have intimidate. I could see mons with reliable recovery making great use of this item like miltank as this item allows it to play its role as a snorlax check better.
4. Kazappelin-A Spiker that can beat some of the common hazard removal options in starmie and golem and opposing spikes setter cloyster. spikes+malnourish make a pretty good combo as spikes damage and the damage from the move and inverted lefties all add up.
5. Essence steal-Pretty interesting move. You get a semi-recovery option that lowers spatk; moves that lower spatk in gsc are not common (this might be the only one dont quote me on that) which means this move essentially enhances the roles of spdef walls.

1. Nature's Rend (I really like the idea of this move don't judge me)

1. Essence Steal (loved the original sub, and more PP with negative priority makes it even more appealing)
2. Draining Relic (SV; a great option for offensive mons that retains the bulky spirit of competitive GSC)
3. Nature’s Rend (good coverage for offensive Grasses, Kipuro already has 4MSS so this doesn’t seem OP)
4. Fearful Mask (intimidate in item form seems helpful, especially for physical checks with a recovery move)
5. Soft Shell (a balanced recovery move with good distribution, should improve the viability of many mons)
6. Kazappelin (cool type and a very impressive movepool, but could be a bit OP due to the Electric-typing)
7. Werelycan (gives me a Machamp-lite vibe with a helpful Psychic immunity, could be a fun addition)
8. Pierzer (seems like a fun, offensive monster, thankfully checked well by the Rock/Flyings and Skarmory)
9. Kazeratta (a mon with dual trapping moves seems very cool, plus some other good attacking options)
10. Chuzip (good support options with Rapid Spin and the ability to paralyze spin-blockers, maybe a bit niche)

Sorry for no details, I was really struggling to put everything down where I wanted.

I think our issue with votes on Psymese and Kazeratta is worth considering, as they've both very similar. Maybe we should talk about that a bit. @_ @

CSI BALANCE UPDATE

From testing, feedback, and internal discussion, we've put together a number of changes to positively effect CSI!

Horatekku stats changed(buff)
80 / 100 / 100 / 60 / 70 / 60 -> 80 / 100 / 120 / 60 / 70 / 50

Reasoning: "Aroof erroneously had a BST 10 higher than Hora, and Hora has struggled to really do much. Now with a signature move and a slight buff in def, we'll see how things go for one of our first submissions. To buff it's defense by 20, 10 was taken from it's speed."

Exoltol loses BD
Reasoning: "A nerf for the lad, Exoltol had BD due to it being an event move on Quagsire; To cleanly remove this tool from Exoltol, the evolution method for Exoltol is now a evolution stone(like before) + the egg move ancient power be known. This requirement effectively removes BD while also remaining lore friendly to the project."

Power Link now adds a 1/3 recoil effect on turn-based moves
Reasoning: "Power Link, and Dodrio as a result, were actually very strong and could steal games or create unfun scenarios that helped push a lose lose scenario for the opponent with little thinking on the Dodrio's part. This solution isn't the most clean of the bunch, but a nerf should keep it more in line with the glass cannon shtick it's trying to pull."

Swarm Attack loses it's defense drop
Reasoning: "The defense drop possibility just created disgusting situations where, with a single Def drop, who's winning in the situation could swing wildly. Not making it any better was the fact that it could roll multiple times, or be paired with Scizor who could fish for a sweep with a Swords Dance/Agility, or even go right into the Swarm Attack for a defense drop here and there. Move is plenty strong enough without this part."

Black Hole in need of a rework.
Reasoning: "This one here is a bit different from the others, nothing has been done for Black Hole yet but this move is heavily underperforming and is actually just BAD in it's current implementation. We need to discuss on discord how to handle this move."
