Bug Reports v3 [READ ORIGINAL POST before posting]

EDIT: Not a bug, see below.

Protect-like moves only reduce Z-Move damage if the Z-move is caused by using a Z-crystal; CFZs do not have their damage reduced by Protect. I believe this has been occurring for several weeks, but I only just validated the specifics. It's possible that this change was a correction to reflect new research on how CFZs behave when hacked into a real USUM cart game, but as this seems pretty unlikely and I am unable to test the cart behaviour myself, I am reporting this as a bug.

Example:-

(Z-Crystal Attacker)
Kommo-o @ Kommonium Z
Ability: Overcoat
EVs: 4 Atk / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Naive Nature
- Clanging Scales
- Close Combat
- Stealth Rock
- Taunt

(CFZ Attacker)
Kommo-o @ Kommonium Z
Ability: Overcoat
EVs: 4 Atk / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Naive Nature
- Clangorous Soulblaze
- Close Combat
- Stealth Rock
- Taunt

(Defender)
Alomomola @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 40 HP / 252 Def / 216 SpD
Bold Nature
- Wish
- Protect
- Toxic
- Scald

It may not have been clear to a programmer that this is a situation that could occur in a real game outside of very rare Hackmons Cup cases. However, it has a very significant impact on balance in the format Pure Hackmons which runs format tours (e.g. https://www.smogon.com/forums/threads/pure-hackmons-tour.3647638/ ), so this is a competitively meaningful bug.

https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/gen7anythinggoes-884144495 in this replay endless is triggered by recycling a leppa berry, despite the foe never being in an endless loop. https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/gen7chimera-883613216 same thing but it ended in a tie rather than me losing, possibly due to the foe being unable to switch https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/gen7anythinggoes-882702169 turn 69 is supposed to be the behavior

Another bug: you can’t give clefable unaware and soft boiled in AAA, this shouldn’t happen, and I believe this can be fixed by changing “ignore illegal abilities” so that hidden abilities are not considered in formats with this rule

hello, this is a follow up on the weakness policy metagross from before. In doubles OU, no multi targetting moves are activating any weakness policy: snarl on metagross, surf on incineroar... that's actually kind of a big problem, I think.

Okay, so, on turn 2, Tapu Bulu used Horn Leech and Dugtrio used Memento. It doesn't say the move failed, but, Tapu Bulu just hits the air.

In this battle, we test it out and see that Horn Leech is not the only move that hits the air, but, all contact moves do. Moves without contact just fail while moves with contact act like they're hitting something when they're really not.

Was testing some tour format setups and crashed a battle.
It was an ou tour with Added rules - gen7stabmons, gen7partnersincrime
http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/gen7ou-885047575

I was trying to test to see if adding PIC would make it doubles and PIC or just add the banlist (it didn't) and it crashed before turn 1, before abilities could activate (I was Intimidate) but after we chose and sent out Pokemon.

Turn 4:
Ultra Necrozma Earth Power did 125 damage to Primal Groudon, but that specific number should not be possible according to damage calcs (it should either roll 124 or 126, but not 125)

Groudon spread is 244 HP / 100 SpDef Adamant
The Ultra Necrozma is Adamant, has 0 SpA EVs. https://pokepast.es/df1fd4fcff8f78ab

https://pastebin.com/ip3qygFf proof that Groudon lost 125/206 of its health

Damage calc output:
0- SpA Neuroforce Necrozma-Ultra Earth Power vs. 244 HP / 100 SpD Groudon-Primal: 116-138 (56.3 - 66.9%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

Possible damage amounts: (116, 118, 120, 120, 122, 124, 124, 126, 128, 128, 130, 132, 132, 134, 136, 138)

The damage calculator you're using has Neuroforce implemented as a power modifier, but it's actually a damage modifier just like the Expert Belt it's modeled after. The real calc is:

0- SpA Neuroforce Necrozma-Ultra Earth Power vs. 244 HP / 100 SpD Groudon-Primal: 117-140 (56.7 - 67.9%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
Possible damage amounts: (117, 120, 120, 122, 122, 125, 125, 127, 130, 130, 132, 132, 135, 135, 137, 140)

When attempting to validate a [gen 7] OU team with a Shedinja knowing Metal Claw and either Screech, Swords Dance, Slash, Agility, or Baton Pass, this error is given: "Shedinja's event/egg moves are from an evolution, and are incompatible with its moves from Nincada.", even though Shedinja can know this combination of moves via the Pomeg Glitch for Screech, Swords Dance, and Slash, or via regular means for Agility and Baton Pass.

Not a bug perse, but a potential file switch up

my brother and i have been playing with /afd april fools day mode the last few days, today i got a clefable and on my screen i saw clefables face, clefable was staring at me, its trainer, and on my brothers screen he saw the back sprite of clefable

maybe this is part of clefable's AFD personality, but i think the front sprite/back sprite for clefable AFD might be switched
