Misdreavus (F) @ Eviolite
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 240 SpA / 240 Spe
Timid Nature (+Spe, -Atk)
- Will-O-Wisp
- Shadow Ball
- Hidden Power [Fighting]
- Nasty Plot

missy immune to 2 of your attacks, and isnt going to take any damage from ice shard. faster so it can wow your ass, and then set up a nasty plot and sweep your team. stunky is a bitch but pursuit is gonna 2hko max after burned and i dont switch so i just spam hp fighting until it takes hella damage.

Lickitung (F) @ Eviolite
Trait: Cloud Nine
EVs: 196 HP / 76 Def / 236 SpD
Careful Nature (+Spd, -Spa)
- Rest
- Sleep Talk
- Curse
- Dragon Tail

Absolutely hard counter Misdreavus by easily setting up on it, easily tanking HP Fightings, and phazing it out when it gets a Nasty Plot? Okay.

kicking blara's ass just wait.

Mienfoo (F) @ Eviolite
Trait: Regenerator
EVs: 76 Atk / 196 Def / 36 SDef / 156 Spd
Impish Nature (+Def, -SAtk)
- Swords Dance
- Hi Jump Kick
- Knock Off
- Baton Pass

ya go set up them curses. its gonna help so much against my +2 hjk on your evioliteless lickitung. lickitung will get fucked up. knock off first turn because its likely to draon tail first turn, and +0 hjk wont ohko +1 lickitung. either way just set up while its sleeping or keep hitting it with hjk its gonna die. cool on fucking offenive teams who want things like +2 elekid (which sweeps shit hard)

IP (Gligar) (M) @ Flying Gem
Trait: Sand Veil
EVs: 236 Atk / 236 Spd
Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Acrobatics
- Earthquake
- Substitute
- Roost

Did anybody say acrobatics, prem. Also with SS, things missing makes gligar fun. Acrobatics makes Gligar very strongth. Earthquake is amazing STAB that kills everything. Substitue + Roost makes it very trollish, when using Sand Veil, gfiant stall wars. Roost also helps against Ice types, do less damage, but not that much less :L, but still
Sand Veil.

Probally been repeated like a billion times, but it's too much fun

Let's try and stay away from Pokemon such as Gligar and Mienfoo, whose usage and roles are already known.

Instead, I'll bring in a set that made me cry at one point, as it completely fucked with my Gligar.

Piplup (M) @ Eviolite
Trait: Torrent
EVs: 92 HP / 252 Def / 148 SDef
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Stealth Rock
- Ice Beam
- Scald
- Toxic

This little cutie absolutely fucks with Gligar. With 23 HP / 24 Defense including Eviolite, even a Flight Gem Acrobatics fails to come close to KOing, while a non Flight Gem Acrobatics will almost never 2HKO. It isn't necessary to say that Piplup fucks Gligar up with Ice Beam, but I'll say it anyways. Piplup fucks Gligar up with Ice Beam. Stealth Rock / Toxic makes it a pretty good support Pokemon too.

Von Bolt (Elekid) (M) @ Life Orb
Trait: Vital Spirit
EVs: 96 Atk / 160 SAtk / 236 Spd
Naive Nature (+Spd, -SDef)
- Thunderbolt
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- Cross Chop
- Fire Punch

Elekid likes to zap Piplup. Thunderbolt can OHKO Piplup and even if it doesnt, Ice Beam won't do that much to Elekid, since Piplup doesn't have that much Sp. Attack, and No STAB. Elekid also gets alot of coverage moves, so it works great as a mixed attacker.

Wynaut (M) @ Eviolite Trait: Shadow Tag
EVs: 84 HP / 212 Def / 212 SDef
Calm Nature (+SDef, -Atk)
- Mirror Coat
- Counter
- Encore
- Tickle

160 SpAtk Life Orb Elekid Thunderbolt vs 84 HP/212 SpDef Eviolite Wynaut: 37.04% - 48.15%. Thunderbolt never 2HKOes, and it switches into everything else ridiculously easily.

Vullaby (F) @ Eviolite
Trait: Overcoat
EVs: 156 Def / 76 SAtk / 236 SDef / 36 Spd
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Dark Pulse
- Air Slash
- Taunt
- Roost

Specially Offensive Vullaby can stop Wynaut one-on-one without any worries. This set is weird as it was designed as a wallbreaker and check to common fighting types. The EV's let it soak both special and physical attacks while firing out stab-boosted attacks. Spd EV's have saved me a lot of times from being Toxic'ed from other Vullabies thanks to taunt and I don't know how many times she has saved my ass as most teams can't stop Vully when her check is down. Paralysis support is good as you can Paraflinch to death a lot of pokes with either move but against Fighting moves you won't want to Roost as you'd be hit SE. This set screams for someone to take Electric-type pokes especially Chinchou so a Grass type is mandatory.

Gotta <3 Vullaby.

(Sorry it was too tempting!)

Chinchou @ Eviolite
Ability: Volt Absorb
EVs: 52 Def / 232 SpA / 220 Spe
Modest Nature
-Volt Switch
-Thunderbolt
-Hydro Pump
-Hidden Power [Fire]

Thunderbolt kills Vullaby pretty easily whilst Dark Pulse does little thanks to Chinchou's OK bulk and Vullaby's poor SpA. Hidden Power is there for the grass types you mentioned, Volt Switch for scouting and Hydro Pump for all-round annihilation.

So many chinchou, random pokemon were better, this is getting repetitive so going with something realistic and useful outside of countering...

Dratini @ Eviolite
Ability: Shed Skin
EVs: 32 HP / 36 SDef / 224 Atk / 196 Spd
Adamant/Lonely Nature
-Dragon Dance
-Outrage
-Extreme Speed
-Waterfall/Protect/Flame thrower/Substitute

Countered by ferroseed but that thing has no recovery and wont enjoy repeated boosted outrages. Lonely with flame thrower over waterfall could be used for perfect coverage at the slight lack of pure power. It could also be used over extreme speed.

As for countering Chinchou it resist every move in that set and doesnt even care about a lucky paralysis from t bolt thanks to shed skin. Dragon dances on the switch and can e speed to a quick kill or to avoid sucker punch, outrage is the primary STAB attack and does heavy damage even to resists. Waterfall is somewhat filler, you would change it to a fire attack as i said before, maybe even sub to easy prediction or protect to stop fake out users. If you opt for using a special attack either flame thrower or HP fight for perfect coverage use lonely and transfer the SDef EVs in SAtk. Extreme Speed is good to finish or revenge kill random pokes without going to the set up.

EVs and nature are to hit 17 attack and 14 speed which gives it 21 speed after a DD which we all know is good for outspeeding every non scarfer while the 17 attack stat is boosted to a good 25.

EDIT: If you are worried about ferroseed magnemite makes a good partner, nosepass too, maybe.

Shieldon @ Oran Berry
Ability: Sturdy
EV: 196 / 20 / 56 / 20 / 212
Sassy
-Metal Burst
-Stealth Rock
-Ice Beam / Roar /Earthquake
-Fire Blast

It resists the most common moves from dratini and can set up Stealth Rock or just attack with Ice Beam for good damage.
Earthquake can be used instead of Ice Beam for hitting 4x weak foes such as Magnemite or Aron, and still does decent damage to Dratini.
Finally Roar is an option to get rid of any boosts dratini may have got while also abusing Stealth Rock damage.

If Dratini is carrying Waterfall, than Shieldon's primary option Metal Burst will swiftly ko it (Sturdy makes sure Dratini cannot OHKO Shieldon even with Dragon Dance boosts).

It is hard to do an immediate counter to sheildon if it has sturdy and roar but one main counter came to mind

Croagunk @ Life Orb
Ability: Dry Skin
Nature: Lonely
Evs: 116 atk /116 Def/ 232 SpA/ 44 Spe - Hp ivs 0 for life recoil to do minimum
Moves:
-Fake Out
-Vaccumm Wave
-Sucker Punch
-Dark Pulse

Fake Out is to Break the sturdy once sturdy is broken assuming Sheldon doesnt switch and is tempeted to either use Earthquake or Fire Blast (two moves that would hit Croagunk well) you go straight for the Vaccum wave which does 4x dmage on Sheildons weaker defence and has stab garunteeng a KO

I like reviving this thread 'cause it encourages diversity in the game... hope it's ok :).

Anyway, Larvesta has not been used in... well, many pages ago and it's a hard counter:

Larvesta (F) @ Eviolite
Trait: Flame Body
EVs: 76 HP / 156 Atk / 76 Def / 76 SDef / 116 Spd
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Morning Sun
- Zen Headbutt
- U-turn
- Flare Blitz

I really feel WoW is a wasted Moveslot if it already has Flame Body... Anyway, Zen Headbutt is a OHKO on Croagunk. Sucker Punch and Fake Out make contact so Flame Body has a chance to activate. Rapid Spin support is obvious and something to take on Water types... and dealing with Hippo as it can set rocks, roar away, half Morning Sun recovery and slack off damage so a Staryu is a good Teammate.

Easy to counter, I'm afraid

156 Atk Larvesta (+Atk) Flare Blitz vs 0 HP/116 Def Dry Skin Croagunk (-Def) : 133,33% - 161,9%
100% chance to OHKO

Zen Headbutt is useless.

Ponyta (F) @ Eviolite
Trait: Flame Body
EVs: 156 Atk / 76 Def / 76 SDef / 196 Spd
Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Sunny Day
- Flare Blitz
- Morning Sun
- Will-O-Wisp

u aint got nothin'

Flare blitz is a clean 2hko, and if i remember correctly, ohko after one layer of spikes. Yeah that's how it beats larvesta.

But aside from that, i want to promote this set a bit. Some of you might've noticed it's pretty much the same set we're using/gonna use in the CCAT, that's actually partly why i started using it. But here's the thing. Flare blitz is fucking monstrously strong, especially in Sun. U got staryu? 2hko'd boom. Also, it's really cool when the opponent has a dead hippo and you make their drilbur near useless. O and hi snover. And mienfoo. And croagunk. And ferroseed. And bronzor. And 90% of the rest of the metagame.

residual damage sucks though, this thing dies really fast

Diglett @ Focus Sash
Trait: Arena Trap
EVs: 36 HP / 236 Atk / 236 Spd
Jolly Nature
- Earthquake
- Protect
- Rock Slide
- Sucker Punch

Traps. Outspeeds. OHKOs. Anything more to say? EQ is STAB and hits surprisingly hard, sash only to be used with spinner/natu, protect blocks fake out, rock slide is coverage, sucker punch is priority. This thing is amazingly effective, you would be surprised how usefull arena trap is, with sash intact this removes mienfoo locked into HJK with protect+EQ. Bronzor shits on this so natu is a good partner, also helps set SR with bronzor which makes diglet even better. Just an amazing mon with STAB EQ and arena trap. does like 50% to mienfoo I think, cant be bothered checking what variant it was but whatever. Just try it.

Sub could be used over protect or sucker punch to block sucker punch or set up on choice locked electric.

Countering Diglett!
Done

Ferroseed @ Eviolite
Iron Barbs
Impish Nature
~Bullet Seed
~Leech Seed
~Protect
~Spikes

Earthquake from Diglett: 27.27 - 36.36%. Ferroseed counters Diglett pretty well as it can take two Earthquakes even after taking Stealth Rock / One Layer of Spikes damage.. With Leech Seed and Protect, you gain wear down Diglett or the switch-in and gain lots of health. You can also straight-out KO Diglett with Bullet Seed. Bullet Seed is chosen as the set above uses Focus Sash. Spikes is always useful on any team. Having Wish support is never bad, as Ferroseed will probably get worn down from switching in and out. Natu is a good teammate as it can both bounce back hazards and Wish pass.

Natu has had a mention with booth of the above mons and co incidentally counters the current one.

So here we go.

Natu (M) @ Eviolite
Trait: Magic Bounce
EVs: 200 HP / 116 Atk / 76 Def / 40 SAtk / 76 SDef
Brave Nature (+Atk, -Spd)
- U-turn
- Sucker Punch
- Roost
- Hidden Power [Flying]

A more offensive take on Natu. Good enough bulk and resists ferroseeds only attack while being immune to, not caring about(protect), or benefiting from its other attacks. Roost heals, sucker punch is good priority while roost and the given low speed let it escape stunky nicely. HP flying is the chosen STAB move so dark types dont get a free switch while it hits scraggy super effectively. Its typing is good as it x4 resists fighting and is immune to ground while it doesnt care about SR due to magic bounce, in fact, SR away bronzor!

Chinchou makes a good teamate with resistance to boltbeam which natu is weak to as well as hitting rock types hard and its weaknesses are covered by natu. Magnemite could work to resist all of natus weaknesses but its weakneses arent 100% covered by natu(fire).

Edit: HP fire could be used and psychic or drill peck>sucker punch to hit ferroseed harder but HP flying does enough to wear it down while natu wont be worn down thanks to roost.

We're going to be locking this thread now, as it's a pretty predictable cycle at this point where Pokemon that have been used 17692576 times keep popping up or someone posts a Poke that just doesn't even make sense. Don't worry, we will have a different thread with a similar concept yet less repetitive application going up in the next couple of days.
