The mysterious man sinks to the ground, defeated. He's tired by the exhausting Pokemon battle. The Eelektross releases the captured baby as it returns to its Pokeball, and the baby drops head-first to the ground with a loud thud. Maybe you should've been more careful around the hostage. Oops. Whatever. It's not like it's your baby or anything.

But somehow, the baby seems to be fine? It gets up from the ground. You can see that there's a visible dent on its head, as if its skull were made of paper mache. Then, you see the baby's face. It's not a human face. It's the simple face of an inexperienced Ditto. The mysterious man then laughs. Suddenly the power goes out, and for a moment, you're left in pitch darkness. You hear one of your Pokemon cry out in alarm, and another voice quietly says, "Ditto." Then, the lights turn back on. The man and the Ditto baby are nowhere to be found. You look at your Pokemon to find out why one of them cried, but they both appear to be perfectly fine.

"MY BABY! WHERE IS MY BABY????" A woman behind you wails in terror. She just watched what she thought was her baby get kidnapped by a snake, and then morph into a terrifying Ditto transformation. "Please," she begs you. "Help me find my baby."

Her cries are very distracting. You have your own problems to solve, and a lack of preparation on her part does not constitute an emergency on your part. You casually shove her to the side and ponder what to do about your Pokemon.

It's clear that one of them has been replaced by an imposter, but you can't tell which one it is. If you can't identify the imposter quickly, it'll stab you in the back when you least expect it. What do you do, epicdrill?

I will have Kaya use her background in tracking to try to find the baby, and I will have Abigail try to comfort the woman and ask about what the baby looks like. If Kaya struggles to track the baby, then she's the imposter, and if Abigail can confidently comfort the woman, then per her attitude, she's the imposter.

Concerned for the grieving woman, Abigail walks up to her. "H-hey, don't cry," she says, timidly.

"HOW COULD YOU SAY THAT TO ME?" The woman screams. "I HAVE A RIGHT TO BE UPSET! MY BABY IS GONE!"

Abigail struggles to come up with a response.

"W-well, you could just have another..." Abigail regrets those words immediately after they leave her mouth. The crying woman is on the verge of breaking down. Another passenger angrily pushes Abigail away as they try their best to comfort the mother after Abigail said something so horrible to her.

It's hard to blame Abigail for this. Her trainer knew that she was shy and socially awkward, and yet Abigail was still sent to do this task, almost as if she were set up to fail. Her trainer opportunistically used a grieving mother's fragile emotional state as an experiment, under the guise of trying to help. How cold and calculating. You cannot help but admire such a trainer, so dedicated to their objective that they would do anything at all in order to achieve it, no matter the cost to those around them.

Anyway, it seems like Abigail's not the imposter. You look over at Kaya, who you sent to track the baby. Kaya appears to be trying to eat a different baby. She's probably the imposter.

You give the imposter Kaya a big smack on the head, and it transforms back into a Ditto. You demand to know where the real Kaya is. The Ditto just looks confused. It seems like it really doesn't know where Kaya is. You put your hands on your hips, trying to find another solution, when your hand brushes against something hard on you belt. It's Kaya's Pokeball. You throw it, and a cheery Tyranitar greets you. Kaya was in her Pokeball the entire time, and you'd just forgotten that you'd recalled her earlier. Silly you.

Anyway, you look behind and see that the other passengers are furious with you and your team for what you've done. One of them angrily approaches you. "You're a menace, and we need to deal with you." That would be inconvenient to your goal. Better eliminate this obstacle.
