SPOILERS! Pokemon Legends: Arceus *Leak Thread*

What buzz, it's the first I remember hearing about it
I dont recall any new Canalave Library text in BDSP when I played, aside from tweaks to Rowan's dialog to accommodate the fact that there's been plenty of evolutions (including legends) since gen 4.

Also guessing Phione/Manaphy will be another post-game event thing like Darkrai & Shaymin were. Probably a more traditional event.
What was the Qwilfish allusion?
https://www.eurogamer.net/articles/...pearl-remakes-hold-hidden-legends-arceus-hint

You can find the book for yourself by heading to the correct bookcase shown in the video above, at the 00:51 mark. (Credit to our resident Pokémon expert Chris Tapsell for recording that.)

"This book is titled 'The Sea's Legend'," the game tells you. "It's a text that was only recently discovered, and its ancient letters were decoded." This sounds a lot like a nod to the book's recent addition in the Diamond and Pearl remakes.

Selecting "Yes" to "Would you like to read it?" brings up the following tale:

"Once upon a time in the East Sea, there was a Pokémon known as the prince. A brave human asking Pokémon living in the sea to let them see the prince.

"Mantyke, Buizel, and a Qwilfish with huge spikes acknowledged the human's bravery and joined them. Together, they set off in a boat over the sunset-streaked sea, sailing through the ocean gate stretched over the waves.

"News of this reached the ears of the prince, who went to meet the brave little party at the Seaside Hollow."
Hidden Power:
"Through some mysterious power, this move changes type to deal supereffective damage to the target."
I wonder if this is what Legend Plate Arceus's mastery of all types will be, maybe the rumoured Judgment buff.

Full list of Pokedex entries
I'm enjoying reading these Dex entries (I LOVE reading Pokedex entries personally) but one stuck out to me as particularly funny:

Octillery: While Octillery still shoots water from its mouth, the drastic anatomical difference between it and Remoraid meant that for a long time, no one believed the former evolved from the latter.

They actually acknowledged the utter dissonance between Remoraid and Octillery literally being two totally different creatures despite being in the same evo line lmao.

I wonder if this is what Legend Plate Arceus's mastery of all types will be, maybe the rumoured Judgment buff.
That's because as far as I know, it is.

Combined with Legend Plate, PLA Arceus is now the most broken Pokemon of all time that can be used by the player. Mega Rayquaza and Zacian are laughable next to it, and the only thing that might even stand a chance is RBY Mewtwo, and that's a huge maybe.

Porygon: It has no discernible heartbeat and does not seem to draw breath, and yet it appears to function without issue. I cannot even begin to explain this utterly bizarre anomaly
Porygon2: A bizarre item caused this Pokémon to evolve. While it now exhibits many new gestures and expressions, its biology remains inscrutable
Porygon-Z: A curious item induced this evolution. The Pokémon’s offensive capabilities have greatly increased, but the strangeness of its behavior has magnified in equal measure. This worries me

Laventon really going through it with the porygon line

Apparently it was just confirmed that something from the 1996 Red and Green guidebook is still canon. Pokemon shrink themselves down to fit in Pokeballs, it's only in the anime where they turn into energy.
Now that I think about it, that is exactly how they show it in the games, it just happens really fast

Gamefreak do you know why the anime changed the frigging ridiculous fact of "all pokemon can somehow shrink regardless of size to fill into a ball for no reason" into "being changed into energy or something"?

Because "all pokemon can somehow shrink regardless of size for no reason" is frigging ridiculous
yes even for a children's franchise

Gamefreak Co. Ltd. sticking to our canon even when more reasonable or practical explanations are given to us by our partners since 1996

explains so much really

"I can assure you that Nidorina and Nidoqueen becoming sterile makes total sense and not a contradiction to our own lore."

Considering the fossils are relatively unknown, it seems the space-time distortions are possibly the source of Cranidos and Shieldon.
Ok I love these dex entries for one reason.

Pay attention to the wording of Rampardos and Bastiodon respectively

>Can knock down massive trees by smashing its beautiful, pearl-like crown against them
>Its face is sturdy - as strong as diamond

Legend Plate
A few of these were talked about already, like the Legend Plate, but I haven't seen anything about the Lake Trio items yet. When I find item descriptions I'll probably post them in a pastebin.

Amusingly, the text for Rotom Dex is still in the game.

So has anyone figured out what the deal with Manaphy and Phione is? There was a lot of buzz about the new Canalave Library text in BDSP that in hindsight clearly alluded to Overqwil in tandem with the aforementioned Mythicals
In the text dump, there is a section (Ctrl+F “sub_115”) where there is some talk about Manaphy, and it even mentions “The Sea’s Legend” from BDSP. Not sure anyone’s figured out how to actually obtain Manaphy, though. Maybe the game needs an update?

I'm guessing the Lake Trio items are quest items, as part of a story quest involving a Red Chain. I don't expect them to have a mechanical effect.

Actually, I'm putting it in a Google doc so the item names line up nicely with the descriptions. Here's all the names & descriptions of the items in the game: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet...ITrYyNt0CYuCjTrQwypbMLCI7ZU/edit?usp=drivesdk

So do Alpha Pokemon work like Noble Pokemon but around the time we are getting ridable Nobles?

Wondering how many Wardens are there (I'm assuming 10?) and how many Alphas.

And which New Pokemon are someone's Aces or used by some trainers.

Cannot wait for trainer data...

That sounds really broken. Even with the power nerf, that's still 200 BP on anything with a double weakness. Maybe it's only available to Unown in this game which would partially explain this
I feel like HP is gonna be an Unown signature for the forseeable future, in which case yeah it more than deserves this lol

Can we obtain both Dialga and Palkia?
Indeed you can!
