Mega Manectric
Type: Electric
Base Stats: 70 HP / 75 Atk / 80 Def / 135 SpA / 80 SpD / 135 Spe
Ability: Intimidate

Mega Manectric is one of the best offensive pivots in the UU metagame. With a blistering 135 speed, it outspeeds nearly everything that is unscarfed. Intimidate allows it to maim physical pokemon, while access to Volt Switch allows it to keep momentum on its team's side. It also performs well on the offensive side, with moves like Thunderbolt, Overheat, Flamethrower, and the aforementioned Volt Switch coming off of a base 135 Special Attack. It can also use Hidden Power Ice or Grass to punish Ground-type switch-ins. While Mega Manectric may lack the ability to sweep, it performs its role as a pivot very well. It can single-highhandedly change the course of a match by thwarting enemy's offensive pressure. It is capable of being used at nearly any point in the game, and generally performs its role best during mid-game. Mega Manectric is able to provide a favorable match-up without compromising its team's offensive integrity.

Yanmega
Type: Bug / Flying
Base Stats: 86 HP / 76 Atk / 86 Def / 116 SpA / 56 SpDef / 95 Spe
Abilities: Speed Boost / Tinted Lens / Frisk

Thanks to its two amazing abilities, Yanmega is a very potent offensive threat in UU. It's first ability, Tinted Lens, makes resisted hits do double damage, essentially making them neutral hits. This allows Yanmega to pull off a very effective Choice Specs set that makes its STAB moves, Bug Buzz and Air Slash, hit extremely hard. They hit so hard, in fact, Modest Choice Specs Tinted Lens Bug Buzz can 2HKO Specially Defensive Mega Aggron! Yanmega's other moves include Psychic, which allows Yanmega to hit Pokemon such as Crobat, Nidoking and Nidoqueen, and U-Turn, which can be a nice scouting move that can help gain momentum. Yanmega's other ability, Speed Boost, allows Yanmega to function as late-game cleaner. After a few Speed Boosts are pulled off via Protect, it can outspeed the entire tier. Life Orb and its strong Special Attack stat further assist Yanmega in its cleaning abilities. Hidden Power Ground can be used to nail, Fire- and Steel-types, while Hidden Power Rock can be used for Fire- and Flying-types. Giga Drain is another useful option, allowing Yanmega to hit Rock-types while also healing itself. The Defog buff and the tier's new Rapid Spinners have also made Yanmega's life much easier, as Stealth Rock isn't as big of an issue as it once was. Overall, Yanmega is a powerful offensive Bug-type who can function as both a wallbreaker and a late-game cleaner thanks to its two great abilities.

Defensive

Doublade
Type: Steel / Ghost
Base Stats: 59 HP / 110 Atk / 150 Def / 45 SpA / 49 SpD / 35 Spe
Ability: No Guard

While it’s evolution established itself as one of the premier threats in OU, Doublade is one of the few NFE Pokemon that can hold it’s weight in the UU metagame. Sporting a massive base 150 Defence stat with the ability to boost it to insane levels with an Eviolite, Doublade can become a monstrous physical tank. It’s unique typing gives it 3 immunities plus a ton of resists, further helping Doublade’s defensive capabilities. It’s impressive base 110 Attack stat means Doublade can also dish out good damage as well, with access to STAB Iron Head, Gyro Ball, Shadow Claw, and priority in Shadow Sneak, which can all be boosted by Swords Dance if needed. A minimum Speed nature is recommended because Gyro Ball hits extremely hard when taking it’s very low base 35 Speed stat into consideration. It’s ability, No Guard, lets it fire off Toxic without the worry of it missing, while common inaccurate moves like Stone Edge can be brushed off with ease. Rest can also be ran with Aromatherapy or Heal Bell support to make Doublade be a threat throughout the match. This all means that Doublade can act as a very effective physical tank with the right support.

Defensive

Empoleon
Type: Water / Steel
Base Stats: 84 HP / 86 Atk / 88 Def / 111 SpA / 101 SpD / 60 Spe
Ability: Torrent / Defiant

With it’s impressive 84 / 101 special bulk combined with it’s typing, Empoleon’s defensive capabilities are obvious for all to see. Access to both Stealth Rock and Defog means it can control who has their hazards up and when, possibly turning your attackers’ 2HKOs into OHKOs, and hampering opponents weak to Rock, like Darmanitan, Victini, and Honchkrow. While it’s physical bulk isn’t as impressive, it can be mitigated with Scald’s 30% burn chance, with the added bonus that Empoleon receives STAB from it, and a 1.5x boost once it’s HP reaches below 1/3 thanks to it’s ability, Torrent. It can also be used to phaze opponents with Roar, hurting opponents who have set up hard, as well as dishing out passive hazard damage. It’s base 111 Special Attack stat ensures Empoleon still maintains an offensive threat, and moves like Ice Beam gives good coverage, taking down a lot of the Grass-type switch-ins such as Shaymin, Celebi, and Roserade, while Grass Knot can deal with the abundance of bulky Water-types like Slowbro, Mega Blastoise, Quagsire, and Suicune.

Slurpuff
Type: Fairy
Base Stats: 82 HP / 80 Atk / 86 Def / 85 SpA / 75 SpD / 72 Spe
Ability: Sweet Veil / Unburden

What has Pokémon even come to? Despite all the flak that militant genwunners give it, this cute little meringue monster can be rather deadly in the right hands. First and foremost comes Slurpuff's access to Unburden - After using up a relevant item such as a Weakness Policy, Sitrus Berry or Petaya Berry, Slurpuff is going to be outspeeding every unboosted opponent in the tier. Given its useful Fairy typing, Slurpuff will often be able to set up with either Calm Mind or Belly Drum by forcing a switch. From there, it can trigger Unburden via use of its held item, and this is when Slurpuff becomes a fast, hard-hitting threat. Movepool-wise, it has a number of tricks up its sleeve - Slurpuff boasts access to the interesting STAB Draining Kiss attack, allowing it to damage the foe while regaining some health, plus a bunch of useful coverage moves and decent STAB attacks on both sides of the spectrum. While its sweet (pun intended) exterior may give the impression that Slurpuff is harmless, it can prove legitimately threatening and one would do well not to underestimate it.

Kyurem
Type: Dragon / Ice
Base Stats: 125 HP / 130 Atk / 90 Def / 130 SpA / 90 SpD / 95 Spe
Ability: Pressure

In spite of its blatantly higher offensive stats, Kyurem can serve to be a troublesome defensive Pokémon, for it is blessed with rather impressive 125/90/90 defenses, useful resistances and access to reliable recovery and the ability Pressure. Kyurem's standard defensive fare is the SubRoost combination, a set that brings out the best in its defensive traits. Using that massive HP stat, Kyurem is capable of making 101 HP Substitutes with only very little by way of investment, and its defenses ensure that said Substitutes can very comfortably take weaker or resisted hits, plus they significantly help ease prediction and stop Kyurem from being crippled by status. Combine these hefty Substitutes with Roost and Pressure, and you've got a monster easily capable of depleting the PP of the foe's vital coverage moves. Kyurem's Speed stat is useful in this regard - 95 base Speed puts it in a respectable Speed tier, and when Kyurem has the advantage of outpacing its opposition, its job PP stalling and and throwing out powerful attacks just gets easier. Kyurem is a very relevant presence in UU, and one should always be wary when facing this monster, for otherwise you might find your PP gone before you know what hit you.

Sorry about the delay on mine, here's Celebi (Offensive)

Celebi
Type: Grass / Psychic
Base Stats: 100 HP / 100 Attack / 100 Defense / 100 Special Attack / 100 Special Defense / 100 Speed
Ability: Natural Cure

Celebi has always been a force, no matter which tier it is in. In XY UU, Celebi is quite the formidable threat. While many focus on its defensive capabilities, one should not discount it as an offensive threat. With access to Nasty Plot, Celebi is able to quickly boost its Special Attack to very threatening levels to threaten a sweep. Celebi's offensive capabilities aren't just restricted to that. With access to a powerful Leaf Storm, Celebi can be used as more of a wallbreaker for its team. It is one of only a handful of Pokemon that can be used as an offensive support Pokemon as it has Thunder Wave at its disposal to slow down some Pokemon for its teammates or even itself while not cutting down on its offensive presence. Nasty Plot isn't Celebi's only boosting move either. One can go with Calm Mind to guard against special attacking revenge killers while Swords Dance isn't completely out of the question as Celebi has enough of a physical movepool to utilize it. Perhaps one of the biggest boons for Celebi is Baton Pass. With this move, Celebi is capable of passing on its boosts to a teammate when it is met with a counter and can't finish the sweep it started. Whether its sweeping on its own, supplying support while keeping up offensive pressure, or simply passing on its boosts when it can't finish the job, Celebi is a very useful offensive Pokemon and can be considered for quite a few different offensive-minded teams.

Offensive

Flygon
Type: Ground / Dragon
Base Stats: 80 HP / 100 Atk / 80 Def / 80 SpA / 80 SpD / 100 Spe
Ability: Levitate

Flygon is one of the premier Dragons in the UU metagame, boasting good Attack and Speed stats alongside great coverage options. It can be run as either a wallbreaker running Choice Band to inflict big damage to anyone who wants to take it head on, whilst a Choice Scarf gives Flygon great revenge killing qualities, outspeeding the entire unboosted metagame. Outrage and Earthquake are it’s best STAB options, although Dragon Claw can be used in lieu of Outrage if you’re worried about being locked into it. It has various coverage options to deal with a range of threats throughout the UU meta too. Stone Edge or Rock Slide can deal with Darmanitan, Heracross, and Victini, whilst Superpower handles Umbreon, Aggron, and Mega Absol. Crunch hits Mew, Jirachi, Slowbro, and Metagross hard, and the utility of U-Turn is always a useful thing to carry. It’s also one of the few effective Defoggers in the tier, although you should run a Life Orb if so, so you aren’t locked into it on a Choice set. An immunity to Ground-types can give you a clean switch-in too, and once it’s in, Flygon can clean up late game once it’s checks have been dealt with.

Offensive

Toxicroak
Type: Poison / Fighting
Base Stats: 83 HP / 106 Atk / 65 Def / 86 SpA / 65 SpD / 85 Spe
Ability: Anticipation / Dry Skin / Poison Touch

Despite the weather nerf sending Toxicroak down a tier, it’s actually gained a fair amount this gen. It’s one of the more reliable counters for the new Fairy typing, and the only Fighting-type that isn’t scared out by them. Gunk Shot received an accuracy buff, making it a bit more of a reliable STAB option, although Poison Jab can be a safer, albeit weaker, choice. Drain Punch is a great STAB option with the added benefit of recovering HP, and priority in Sucker Punch means it can’t be revenge killed so easily. It can boost it’s already impressive base 106 Attack stat with Swords Dance, and combined with a Life Orb, it can do massive damage to anything that dares attack it. The premier defensive Pokemon in the tier, Florges, is absolutely terrified of Gunk Shot, but it’s most useful ability, Dry Skin, gives it an immunity to Water-type attacks too, effectively making Toxicroak a very good check to Mega Blastoise, Sharpedo, Suicune, and Slowbro. Dry Skin also regains HP if hit with a Water-type attack, so Scald won’t just not burn, it’ll actually heal Toxicroak. It also has access to Knock Off, hurting the Psychic-types that would happily switch into it badly. Toxicroak may have fallen down a tier this gen, but it has all the tools to be very effective in XY UU.

Abomasnow
Type: Grass / Ice
Base Stats: 90 HP / 92 Atk / 75 Def / 92 SpA / 85 SpD / 60 Spe
Ability: Snow Warning / Soundproof

Abomasnow's ability to summon Hail is a great perk, providing it with 100% accurate Blizzards and passively damaging the vast majority of opponents every turn, breaking Sashes and Sturdy too. In addition, the fact that it sports respectable mixed attacking stats and a good offensive movepool allows Abomasnow to leave its mark on many foes. Abomasnow's dual STAB combo alone hits the vast majority of UU Pokémon for at least neutral damage, and those that do resist it can be taken care of with additional coverage moves such as Earthquake. In Abomasnow's favour is the plethora of wonderful STAB attacks that it can use - The powerful and accurate Blizzard and Wood Hammer, Giga Drain for HP recovery, and finally, a useful priority move in Ice Shard that helps mitigate speed issues and aid revenge killing. All of this ensures that Abomasnow can be a daunting presence, and the hail it brings can truly be effective at gradually wearing the opponent down.

Mega Abomasnow
Type: Grass / Ice
Base Stats: 90 HP / 132 Atk / 105 Def / 132 SpA / 105 SpD / 30 Spe
Ability: Snow Warning

Mega Abomasnow sports very well-rounded stats (sans Speed) and a great offensive movepool to boot. Something rather notable about the hail-summoning yeti's Mega Evolution is that it actually outdamages Expert Belt/Life Orb variants of its previous self. This means that Mega Abomasnow's attacks are definitely something to be feared, as is the excellent coverage it achieves with its STAB alone. Mega Abomasnow's Speed seems like it has a lot to be desired, however, not only does it get Ice Shard to alleviate this somewhat, but this very low Speed actually means that it is a very scary Trick Room attacker indeed, outpacing nearly all of UU while the dimensions are twisted. Through a combination of mighty offenses, a movepool perfect for the job, being a weather summoner and even being a brilliant abuser of Trick Room, Mega Abomasnow has unequivocally forged itself a niche in UU as a distinguished offensive Pokémon.

Reserving Tornadus (Offensive) and Vaporeon (Defensive).

Tornadus
Type: Flying
Base Stats: 79 HP / 115 Atk / 70 Def / 125 SpA / 80 SpD / 111 Spd
Ability: Prankster / Defiant

Brace yourself, for Tornadus is almost certain to whip up a storm in UU. With great mixed attacking stats and powerful coverage moves at its disposal (notably Superpower, which enables Tornadus to muscle past specially defensive Pokémon such as Umbreon and Snorlax), Tornadus is capable of putting the hurt on many Pokémon. Tornadus is notorious for busting out STAB Hurricanes, hitting a great number of UU threats hard, and access to priority Rain Dance thanks to Prankster means that Tornadus can utilise the weather to ensure that Hurricane won't suffer an untimely miss. Having Prankster at its disposal is very useful for Tornadus; not only for fixing Hurricane's accuracy issues, but for shutting down troublesome walls with Taunt, or even going the physical route and running Bulk Up. Having an impressive Speed stat of 111 is excellent for such a powerful attacker - Only a handful of unboosted Pokémon in UU are capable of outrunning Tornadus. This flying genie is certainly something you'd best prepare for, or else your team will fall victim to the howling winds that Tornadus brings in its wake.

Vaporeon
Type: Water
Base Stats: 130 HP / 65 Atk / 60 Def / 110 SpA / 95 SpD / 65 Spe
Ability: Water Absorb / Hydration

Vaporeon has two solid niches that it perfoms well thanks to its bulk - Wish supporting and Baton Passing. The aforementioned bulk plus decent typing means that Vaporeon is going to be sticking around for a while via alternating use of Wish and Protect, and access to Roar ensures that is definitely not setup bait. Vaporeon's base 110 Special Attack gives it offensive presence - Even uninvested, STAB Scald and the coverage move Ice Beam are not pitifully weak, and will serve to do some reasonable damage to the foe, not to mention that Scald's burn chance comes in very handy for reducing the damage output from physically offensive threats. Vaporeon can also put Toxic to good use, for it is able to stall the foe out with Wish and Protect as they gradually get worn down. In addition, the gargantuan HP stat that Vaporeon boasts means that HP restoration from Wish is plentiful, part of what makes this Pokémon so effective at delivering the Wish to an ally. It is safe to say that this Pokémon definitely has all the right tools to perform its niche well.

Tornadus
Type: Flying
Base Stats: 79 HP / 115 Atk / 70 Def / 125 SpA / 80 SpD / 111 Spd
Ability: Prankster / Defiant

Courtesy of Prankster, Tornadus is able to effectively support the team with +1 priority on some valuable support moves. Of major note in Tornadus' support arsenal is Tailwind. Doubling the speed of the whole team for four turns, Tornadus can proceed to U-turn out to an attacker who appreciates this drastic Speed increase. Tornadus also has a solid niche as a rain supporter; being able to swiftly set up the rain and utilise it for itself in addition to the rest of the team. Taunt is also a notable move that Tornadus gets; granting it the ability to shut down any opposing walls or supporters very easily. Prankster means that Tornadus very rarely misses the opportunity to provide team support, and its naturally high Speed means that even other users of +1 priority moves will be hard-pressed to outspeed it. Finally, Tornadus' offensive presence is still to be feared, even when its goal is not to sweep. An effective supporter, Tornadus can provide many teams with the fast support they need.

Azelf
Type: Psychic
Base Stats: 75 HP / 125 Atk / 70 Def / 125 SpA / 70 SpD / 115 Spe
Ability: Levitate

Azelf is certainly capable of being a mighty sweeper in UU - Just look at those wonderful offenses and that blistering Speed. Azelf's movepool does not disappoint either, for it has a plethora of appropriate coverage moves, a means of setup, and even some support moves that can still be utilised on offensive sets. Azelf's best bet at sweeping is its Nasty Plot set - After setting up on a predicted switch, the little pixie can use its brilliant coverage and Speed to go about tearing holes in the foe's team. Also of note is Azelf's ability to run an all-out offense set whose goal is to revenge kill and open holes in the opponent's team. Azelf can even opt to run a Choice Band, which allows it to hit hard from the physical side of the spectrum and either scout and keep up momentum with U-turn, or cripple an opposing wall by using Trick. Azelf's combination of versatility, power and Speed means that it is a threat to be considered when building a UU team - Make sure you have means of dealing with it, or Azelf will make you feel a world of pain.

Raikou
Type: Electric
Base Stats: 90 HP / 85 Atk / 75 Def / 115 SpA / 100 SpD / 115 Spe
Ability: Pressure / Volt Absorb (Unreleased)
What we have here is a Pokémon who has got the offensive movepool, Speed and Special Attack to really dish out some damage. Even now, Raikou's old SubCM set continues to be a deadly force, tearing apart opponents if given the opportunity to set up, not to mention that Pressure and Substitute can also allow for a bit of PP stalling. Raikou's reasonable bulk is rather helpful, ensuring that Raikou won't be swiftly knocked out by weaker attacks, unlike some more frail setup sweepers. This generation, the debut of Assault Vest has gifted Raikou with a new set - With the Assault Vest, Raikou is able to immediately take special hits thrown at it better while it goes on the offense, and it has the movepool to run a moveset comprised of four attacks. This Pokémon is also capable of using Choice Specs and Choice Scarf effectively, for the purposes of hitting hard off the bat and being a speedy late-game cleaner, respectively. Finally, an all-out attacking Life Orb set that can serve to keep up offensive momentum is also viable, thanks to great coverage options that dispatch of a multitude of common threats, and Speed and Special Attack that are still threatening even without any sort of boosts. It is doubtless that this tiger is not something you'd want to mess with, for its fearsome traits can certainly prove deadly.

Swampert
Type: Water / Ground
Base Stats: 100 HP / 110 Atk / 90 Def / 85 SpA / 90 SpD / 60 Spe
Ability: Torrent / Damp

So I herd u liekz Mudkipz Once a staple of OU, BW's power creep saw Swampert's descent from said tier, and it looks like the Mud Fish Pokémon is here to stay in XY UU. Thanks to a rather powerful base 110 Attack stat and good coverage, Swampert has sound offensive prowess within the tier. With Waterfall, Earthquake and Ice Punch providing excellent coverage, Swampert smacks a multitude of opponents hard, and can easily take a hit itself. Swampert's offensive strengths are best brought out by a tanky set, employing the three aforementioned attacks plus a support move in the final moveslot. Finally, Swampert's defensive typing is useful for this role, for having only one weakness means that it can often stay in against the multitude of UU threats that don't carry a Grass type attack. While Swampert's glory days are behind it, that's certainly not to say it isn't capable of firing off some surprisingly powerful attacks while tanking those fired at it.

Bronzong
Type: Steel / Psychic
Base Stats: 67 HP / 89 Atk / 116 Def / 79 SpA / 116 SpD / 33 Spe
Ability: Levitate / Heatproof / Heavy Metal

Bronzong's mighty base 116 defenses combined with an excellent defensive typing ensure that it can tank many a hit from even the most fearsome of Pokémon. Also in its favour is a useful support movepool - Bronzong is able to set up Stealth Rock, Dual Screens, plus even set up and successfully utilise Trick Room. Bronzong's low Speed comes in handy not only in the aforementioned Trick Room, but for its main form of damage, Gyro Ball - With a Speed stat as naturally low as Bronzong's, Gyro Ball makes for a solid STAB choice. Speaking of offense, Bronzong's base 89 Attack is still capable of damaging frailer threats even when uninvested, so for this reason it is often seen putting Earthquake's useful coverage to good use. Toxic is also a move that this Pokémon can make use of, for its ability to cripple opposing walls whom it cannot inflict much damage upon using its attacks alone. Bronzong is most commonly seen taking on the role of a tank who sets up Stealth Rock and proceeds to steadily wear its opponents down while taking hits. This bronze bell's bulk and defensive typing are remarkable, and because of this, it is bound to get its job done well. Make sure your team can get past Bronzong, for it is a mighty wall which must be overcome in order to achieve victory.

I'll get Gastrodon (Defensive) done tomorrow, plus in the meantime reserve Forretress (Defensive).

And my entries:

Mismagius
Type: Ghost
Base Stats: 60 HP / 60 Atk / 60 Def / 105 SpA / 105 SpD / 105 Spe
Ability: Levitate

Mismagius has always been known as a fast and powerful Ghost-type special sweeper, and that is no different in XY UU. Mismagius's combination of Nasty Plot, high Speed, and a Ghost typing make it quite a threat to contend with. Mismagius can make use of its immunities to Normal and Fighting to grab setup opportunities with Nasty Plot, which boosts it good 105 Special Attack to perfect levels. It attains great coverage in Shadow Ball and Dazzling Gleam, especially now that Steel-types no longer resist its Shadow Ball, and between the two moves, not many Pokemon can wall Mismagius. Taunt also gives Mismagius some utility as a stallbreaker, stopping many Pokemon used on stall from utilizing their support moves while using them as setup fodder. Mismagius can also run moves such as Will-O-Wisp to cripple counters such as Snorlax, or Substitute to avoid Pursuit from the likes of Krookodile, Mega Absol, and Snorlax. Though Mismagius does face competition from Chandelure and Cofagrigus as an offensive Ghost-type, its Speed and Nasty Plot can make it a great special sweeper that can plow its way through a team when given a chance.

Galvantula
Type: Bug / Electric
Base Stats: 70 HP / 77 Atk / 60 Def / 97 SpA / 60 SpD / 108 Spe
Abilities: Compound Eyes / Unnerve / Swarm

Galvantula's main niche in the UU metagame is Sticky Web, and Galvantula is one of the few good users of the move. Thanks to Galvantula's high Speed, it can quickly apply the entry hazard into battle, which can be excellent to slow down more offensive teams. In addition, Galvantula has a decent offensive presence with its passable 97 Special Attack, along with excellent dual STABs. Compound Eyes Thunder is very powerful, and Bug Buzz only complements that, allowing Galvantula to do quite a bit of damage against the opponent. Galvantula can also run options such as Hidden Power Ice to hit Nidoking and Nidoqueen, and in general can also be a potent attacker alongside supporting its team with Sticky Web. Although its immense frailty and being one dimensional are both hindrances to Galvantula's success, it is a great choice if you're looking for a Sticky Web user who can provide a solid offensive presence.

I'll take on Drapion and Sableye.

Jirachi
Type : Steel / Psychic
Base Stats : 100 HP / 100 Atk / 100 Def / 100 SpA / 100 SpD / 100 Spe
Ability : Serene Grace

Jirachi is one of the most versatile pokemon ever. With a very good typing, well balanced base stats, gigantic movepool and a very annoying ability in Serene Grace and a lot of moves to abuse it, Jirachi is a nuisance. With Calm Mind, it becomes a frightening special sweeper which can sweep late game. Due to its good bulk and many resistances, Jirachi gets many switchin oppurtunities. Physically, it can utilise its infamous STAB Iron Head which has a whopping 60% flinch chance, while having good coverage in elemental punches. It can utilise a Choice Scarf to become a good revenge killer. If you are making a UU team give Jirachi a consideration, it will certainly not dissapoint you.

defensive

Krookodile
Base Stats : 95 HP / 117 Atk / 80 Def / 65 SpA / 70 SpD / 92 Spe
Ability : Intimidate / Moxie / Anger Point

While known for its offensive prowess, Krookodile is also a decent defensive Pokemon. With Intimidate it can check many physical attackers, like, Snorlax , Mega-Aerodactyl, Jirachi etc. while hitting back hard with powerful STAB moves in Earthquake and Knock Off. It has good support options in Stealth Rock, Dragon Tail, Toxic and Taunt, which comes in handy against opposing defensive pokemon or set up pokemon. Due to its good speed, it makes for a good stallbreaker. If you are looking for a pokemon that can check physical attacker without foregoing offensive momentum, give Krookodile a try.

Also, reserving Entei and Tornadus (support).

Gastrodon
Type : Water / Ground
Base Stats: 111 HP / 83 Atk / 68 Def / 92 SpA / 82 SpD / 39 Spe
Ability: Sticky Hold / Storm Drain / Sand Force

With the nerf to permanent weather this Generation, Gastrodon lost a huge niche in countering Rain teams, resulting in a drop from OU. However, this sea slug has some useful perks that make it a relevant UU defensive threat. With a defensive typing that only leaves it with one weakness and a plethora of useful resistances, plus access to reliable recovery, Gastrodon is able to face many foes and leave its mark. A key trait of Gastrodon that makes many other defensive Pokémon such as Bronzong jealous is the aforementioned access to Recover. This move is the cornerstone of Gastrodon's longevity, for without it, Gastrodon would get worn down very quickly. Having Storm Drain is also very useful for this Pokémon, since not only does it gain an immunity to a type that would normally affect it neutrally, but it additionally means that switching into a Water type move ups Gastrodon's Special Attack, bolstering its already decent offensive presence. STAB Scald can inflict a timely burn on physically-oriented threats who try to take advantage of Gastrodon's naturally lower Defense stat, and Gastrodon's secondary STAB choice is either Earth Power or Earthquake, depending on which threats need taking care of. Gastrodon is also an excellent user of Toxic and can use it to cripple opposing walls who can easily take Gastrodon's attacks. Overall, it's fair to say that Gastrodon's defensive capabilities are not to be overlooked, in spite of losing a large niche in the Generation shift.

Forretress
Type: Bug / Steel
Base Stats: 75 HP / 90 Atk / 140 Def / 60 SpA / 60 SpD / Spe 40
Ability: Sturdy / Overcoat

Meet Forretress, renowned for its hazard setup and Rapid Spinning utility. Having been OU since its inception in GSC, this Generation has finally seen its descent to UU, where it has established a firm niche as one of the tier's premier Rapid Spinners. So what is it that makes Forretress such a sturdy choice (pun not intended) for this role? The answer lies in Forretress' defensive typing and massive base 140 Defense stat. Bug/Steel leaves Forretress weak to only Fire, and blessed with a plethora of useful resistances. Forretress' vast physical bulk and great defensive typing also means that it can find opportunities to repeatedly come in and spin away hazards that are plaguing your team, not to mention that it has access to Spikes, Toxic Spikes and Stealth Rock, meaning it can support the team by throwing out whatever hazards are desired. Sturdy also helps Forretress accomplish something, even in the face of the powerful special attackers that it loathes. Low Speed and reasonable Attack means that Forretress' STAB Gyro Ball grants it some offensive presence, plus it can run Earthquake to try and dispatch of predicted Fire type switch-ins or other foes weak to said move. In addition, the aforementioned low Speed that Forretress sports helps it use Volt Switch well, for it can take a hit, then proceed to Volt Switch out to bring in a frailer attacker unscathed. This metal-clad bagworm should be taken with caution, for it can easily dispose of the hazards that you might have set up, and also has a variety of hazards to set up itself.

Reuniclus
Type: Psychic
Base Stats: 110 HP / 65 Atk / 75 Def / 125 SpA / 85 SpD / 30 Spe
Ability: Overcoat / Magic Guard / Regenerator

Reuniclus is a great bulky special attacker. With a huge Special Attack and HP and good defenses, it fits that definition perfectly. It has three good abilities, but Overcoat and Regenerator see next to no use because of Magic Guard. Magic Guard is a great ability on any Pokemon who gets it. For Reuniclus, it means that it can fire off Life-Orb boosted attacks without the recoil. Reuniclus has two main sets: Calm Mind and Trick Room. The Trick Room set uses Reuniclus' awful speed to its advantage, outspeeding the vast majority of the metagame in Trick Room conditions. Offensive Trick Room Reuniclus works best with a STAB move (Psychic or Psyshock) and perfect neutral coverage in the form of Focus Blast and Shadow Ball. The Calm Mind set forgoes one of those coverage moves for Recover, as this Reuniclus can be expecting to take a hit every turn, and needs the recovery much more than the OTR version. Be sure to prepare for Reuniclus, as if it can set up, it will happily dismantle your team.

Ditto
Type: Normal
Base Stats: 48 HP / 48 Atk / 48 Def / 48 SpA / 48 SpD / 48 Spe
Ability: Limber / Imposter

Ditto's Hidden Ability, Imposter, turns it from a gimmick with awful stats to a Pokemon that is quite the viable choice in UU. Imposter lets Ditto immediately transform into its opponent, copying its Attack, Defense, Special Attack, Special Defense, Speed, ability, and moveset, meaning that none of its stats save HP actually matter. It is perfectly equipped to use a Choice Scarf, as it will always outspeed any non-Scarfed opponent and speed tie any Scarfed opponent. Is an opposing set-up sweeper sweeping you? Send out Ditto, let it copy their boosts, and sweep with their boosts and an extra +1 Speed. Did your hazard setter faint before their hazard remover did? Have Ditto copy their setter, and put hazards up on their side for the rest of the game. Ditto can quite literally do almost anything your opponent can faster than they can, so underestimate this threat at your own risk.

Amoonguss
Type: Grass / Poison
Base Stats: 114 HP / 85 Atk / 70 Def / 85 SpA / 80 SpD / 30 Spe
Ability: Effect Spore / Regenerator

In spite of the competition it receives from Roserade, Amoonguss has its own perks that make it just as effective. For one, Amoonguss sports decent mixed bulk in addition to a solid defensive typing, and thanks to Regenerator, it is able to function rather well as a defensive pivot who can continually switch in and out during the battle. Amoonguss' access to Spore is a massive blessing - Being able to reliably incapacitate an opponent for several turns provides very valuable support. Amoonguss is capable of employing Stun Spore in one of its moveslots to form a double powder set that is very effective at spreading status, but Clear Smog is also a useful option, for it means that even after it has crippled a foe with Spore, Amoonguss isn't surefire setup bait. Through a combination of its defensive typing, bulk, Giga Drain, Black Sludge, Regenerator and an immunity to Toxic, this Pokémon can prove very exhaustive to wear down, not to mention that Amoonguss has several partners whom it can very effectively pair with for optimal synergy. If its useful traits are utilised well, then this Pokémon can certainly prove to be a daunting defensive prospect.

Blastoise
Type: Water
Base Stats: 79 HP / 83 Atk / 100 Def / 85 SpA / 105 SpD / 78 Spe
Ability: Torrent / Rain Dish

Blastoise has always been a solid UU choice, and since Rapid Spin's debut in GSC, Blastoise has always been renowned as a highly effective user of the move. This generation is no different - Blastoise's bulk and defensive typing allow it to easily find opportunities to use Rapid Spin. Access to STAB Scald is useful to potentially burn opposing threats, especially physically offensive Pokémon looking to set up. Also of note are Dragon Tail and Roar - Dragon Tail won't be troubled by Taunt or Wonder Skin, but Roar will mean that Blastoise can send Substitute attackers packing. Both are solid phazing choices that ensure Blastoise will not be total setup bait. Having Foresight is a boon for Blastoise, as it means that it can still pull off a Rapid Spin even against the Ghost types who attempt to come in and block it, or Blastoise's last moveslot can be occupied by Toxic to severely hinder the longevity of opposing walls. While its Mega Evolution tends to have dominance, if one wants to use their Mega Evolution slot for something else, Blastoise is still a very viable Rapid Spinner that gets the job done well.

Ok, my computer broke down unfortunately so I haven't updated the list, but I will later tonight. Please don't reserve anything else until I give the all-clear, I don't want any confusion. You can still write your reserved entries though.

Oh my bad, I guess I misinterpreted that post. I'll just write one up and post it later if needed.

Alright everyone, you can start reserving entries again!

s_aman I didn't accept your new reservations as your current two entries lack a lot of content. It isn't like it's hard either; Jirachi is one of the most versatile mons and I can't be bothered checking what the other one is but I know it is short. VM me when you've updated it and I'll possibly accept it if it is up to the standard of the other entries in this thread.

horyzhnz I accepted your reservation of Sharpedo.

Mew is available for reservation; I wasn't happy with the quality of the entries.

Royalty Empoleon and Mienshao are overdue; please have it done as soon as you can.

Swamp Link Nidoking is due.

radianthero156 Porygon-Z is due.

Taehl Defensive Snorlax is due.
