XY PU Minitour #3
Hello everyone, and welcome to the third XY PU Minitour! This minitour is a throwback to the way PU was when it first started in Gen 6, which was back in August of 2014. As such, the following changes occur from current PU:
The following Pokemon that have left PU since its inception are now available for use:
Samurott, Exeggutor, Lilligant, Cacturne, Pangoro, Musharna, Altaria, Pidgeot, Beedrill, Garbodor, Mantine, Glalie, Camerupt, Serperior, Scyther, Bouffalant, Tauros, Kecleon, Sneasel, and Throh
The following Pokemon that were not originally PU cannot be used during this tournament: Haunter, Gourgeist-XL, Lickilicky, Wobbuffet, Armaldo, Probopass, and Pawniard (note that Torkoal and Leafeon, despite being NU at certain points, were PU at this time and therefore are still legal)
Finally, everything introduced in ORAS is not allowed in this tournament. The most significant of these changes are as follows:
General Minitour rules:
-Please post replays :)
- This is a best of three tournament; the person that wins 2 matches moves on.
- Matches are to be played on PS! unless both players agree to otherwise play somewhere else.
- You do not have to use the same team each match.
- Any round will last around 7 days
-This tournament will consist of 64 participants, it just really depends on how much we get. Any leftovers in between those numbers will be added as subs.
Mean things:
- Don't scout and counter team, it's just mean-spirited. Any player worth their salt will have another team, making this worthless; however, if it does work for the scouter, they get an unfair advantage.
- Don't ghost, that's really dumb lol
- If there's blatant evidence of the above, you will not be allowed to advance.
Timer stuff:
- Timer should be turned on at the start at of the match, unless both players agree otherwise.
- If you timeout, you lose the match. There's nothing else to it. This is for the sake of keeping the tournament as simple as possible.
Disconnections:
- Unless you disconnect within the first few (>5-10) turns and don't come back before the timer runs out, you will lose. Exceptions can always be made if you had the match 100% won or some other special case. Again, this is just to keep the tournament going smoothly.

- Evasion Clause
- OHKO Clause
- Sleep Clause
- Species Clause
- Timed Battle
- Team Preview
Prize:
The prize for the winner is voice (+) in the PU showdown room channel. Hop by there (and #PU irc) for some discussion or team building help anyway!

- Pangoro cannot have Knock Off, Drain Punch, Superpower, Gunk Shot, or the elemental punches
- Kecleon cannot have Knock Off, Drain Punch, or the elemental punches in combination with Protean
- Aurorus cannot have Stealth Rock, Hyper Voice, Earth Power, or Snow Warning
- Barbaracle cannot have Stealth Rock or Taunt
- Huntail cannot have Sucker Punch in combination with Shell Smash and it cannot have Coil
- Carbink cannot have Magic Coat
