This little bird is taking Little Cup by storm! Wattrel is one of SV Little Cup's best offensive pivots thanks to its excellent Electric / Flying typing. Its STAB combination hits almost the entire metagame neutrally, with the notable exception of itself, while hitting key threats like Crabrawler and Mareanie. Defensively, Wattrel serves a key role as one of the most effective switch-ins to Toedscool. Tera Water combined with Volt Absorb makes Wattrel by far the most consistent check to Tera Ice Voltorb. Stealth Rock is one of the most effective ways at keeping Wattrel in check, so Rapid Spin support from a spinner like Toedscool or Quaxly is essential. Conversely, Stealth Rock support from setters like Pawniard or Glimmet helps against opposing Wattrel.
