Vullaby is undoubtedly the best Flying-type in LC due to its versatility, which allows it to run several sets. This set acts as a wincon by making use of Nasty Plot and Vullaby's bulk to become a fast and threatening setup sweeper. Vullaby can use either Dark Pulse to deal a great damage to bulkier threats, as well as ensuring the KO on threats such as Ponyta or Hidden Power Grass to catch Onix off guard. Vullaby can choose between having better bulk by running Eviolite or having more longevity with Berry Juice. Vullaby has a hard time dealing with Spritzee, so it can be paired with Pawniard, which can set Stealth Rock up to help Vullaby efficiently clean and remove Spritzee. Vullaby likes entry hazard removers such as Snivy, as its weakness to Stealth Rock poses a problem. Pokemon such as Timburr and Staryu help Vullaby by getting rid of its best check, Onix. Lastly, Vullaby also appreciates support from trappers such as Diglett and Alolan Grimer because they can remove Electric-types and Abra and Gastly, respectively.

Pokemon such as Foongus and Staryu help Vullaby by getting rid of its best check, Onix.

Use a different example from Foongus, it's not the most reliable check. Maybe a fighting type.
