Giratina-Origin @ Griseous Orb
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP / 248 Def / 8 SpD
Impish Nature
- Defog
- Shadow Sneak
- Dragon Tail
- Will-O-Wisp

This set can switch in on Ekiller as it does anything and proceed to burn and or phase it, rendering it useless. Given Giratina-O's massive bulk, not even Shadow Claw at +2 can stop it:

+2 252 Atk Life Orb Arceus Shadow Claw vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Giratina-O: 270-320 (53.5 - 63.4%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

Though it has no recovery so it can not switch in often. The EVs given are optimal for the given task but can be branched more into offense if needed.

reserving TANK WEEZING

edit:

Weezing @ Black Sludge
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Will-O-Wisp
- Clear Smog
- Pain Split
- Toxic Spikes
Weezing checks Ekiller very hard, being able to survive Espeed at +2 easily and burn or even clear smog it if you don't wanna risk missing(although you'd have to burn it sooner or later or it will sd again and fuck u up), and then proceed to pain split next turn.

+2 252 Atk Life Orb Arceus Extreme Speed vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Weezing: 204-242 (61 - 72.4%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Black Sludge recovery
+2 252 Atk Arceus Extreme Speed vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Weezing: 157-186 (47 - 55.6%) -- 19.9% chance to 2HKO after Black Sludge recovery
+2 252 Atk Silk Scarf Arceus Extreme Speed vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Weezing: 187-222 (55.9 - 66.4%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Black Sludge recovery

The calcs prove that even Lum can be checked by using wow, since it has a very little chance to 2hko, but it will put Weezing at a low health.

Mewtwo-X (check)

Mewtwo @ Mewtwonite x
Ability: Steadfast
EVs: 252 HP / 80 Def / 176 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Low kick
- Taunt
- Recover
- Will-o-wisp

Mewtwo x with the stall set is a very solid check to SD Ekiller as It easily survives +2 extreme speed from arceus and ohko's arceus with a low kick in return.

+2 252 Atk Life Orb Arceus Extreme Speed vs. 252 HP / 80 Def Mega Mewtwo X: 296-348 (71.1 - 83.6%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

0 Atk Mega Mewtwo X Low Kick (120 BP) vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Arceus: 390-458 (102.3 - 120.2%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Reserving Sableye as a check

EDIT:

Sableye @ Sablenite
Trait: Prankster
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Will-O-Wisp
- Foul Play
- Taunt
- Recover

Leftovers actually does this better but w/e.

Sableye is bulky enough to take LO Earthquake for <50% (45% max for base, 32% for mega), and threaten back with priority wisp. From there, Sableye can leisurely stall out Arceus with Recover, and any attempts Arceus has at setting up extra Swords Dances will be met by swift death by Foul Play. See if you can mega evolve on the turn Arc attacks when you use Foul Play to minimize damage.

+4 Foul Play vs min/min Arc: 98.7%-100%+
+2 Foul Play vs min/min Arc: 66%-78% (2 LO recoils + burn, or 2 burns + LO recoil - Arceus will be worn down rather quickly)

Im listing this as a check and not a counter because Will-O-Wisp misses at the worst times.

Aww. Beaten by five minutes. If I can't have Sableye, I'll reserve Landorus-T.

EDIT: Nominating the flying moustached tiger as a check:

Landorus-Therian @ Choice Band
EVs: 200 HP / 252 Atk / 52 Def
Adamant Nature
- Earthquake
- Stone Edge
- U-turn
- Superpower

The set is fairy straightforward. Earthquake and Stone Edge offer very excellent neutral coverage, the former being STAB and thus hitting very hard against many threats. U-Turn is a great move for scouting and can be freely used to wear opponents down. Superpower is the main tool for defeating Arceus. The given EVs ensure that Arceus is always OHKOed at full health afteafter Stealth Rock damage, while giving Landorus-T enough bulk to tank an Extreme Speed from Jolly Life Orb Arceus after a boost and after factoring in Intimidate. I'll provide calcs later.

By no means is this a counter as it can do its job only if it is as full health and if it switches in on an Earthquake or a Swords Dance. Still, it is a very versatile check that is capable of dealing with many other threats such as Zekrom and Primal Groudon besides, especially if paired with a cleric like Xerneas.

I'll take Mega Mence

Edit:

check
Salamence @ Salamencite
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Return
- Earthquake
- Dragon Dance
- Roost

Salamence checks Extremekiller with the combination Intimidate before mega evolving, its natural 95 / 130 bulk after mega evolving, and Aerilate Return doing massive amounts of damage. Salamence will be under half after its encounter with Arceus, but it can Roost pretty easily later in the game thanks to its Speed, bulk, and power.
-1 252 Atk Life Orb Arceus Extreme Speed vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Mega Salamence: 87-103 (26.2 - 31.1%) -- guaranteed 4HKO

+1 252 Atk Life Orb Arceus Extreme Speed vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Mega Salamence: 191-226 (57.7 - 68.2%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

252 Atk Aerilate Mega Salamence Return vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Arceus: 201-237 (52.7 - 62.2%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

+3 252 Atk Life Orb Arceus Extreme Speed vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Mega Salamence: 320-376 (96.6 - 113.5%) -- 75% chance to OHKO

If you're going with mence, you need a bulkier one to live +3. Also, +1 2hkos you before you 2hko it.

Defensive Yveltal (check)

Yveltal @ Leftovers
Ability: Dark Aura
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 SpD
Impish Nature
- Foul Play
- Taunt
- Sucker Punch
- Roost

Yveltal is a great physical tank for balance teams, having solid bulk as well as significant offensive presence. Foul Play has a high chance to OHKO Jolly ExtremeKiller at +2 after LO recoil and Yveltal can comfortably take an ESpeed even after SR. Rocky Helmet or Black Glasses are alternate items that guarantee the OHKO on Arceus with Foul Play (even without LO recoil), though you lose the passive recovery of Leftovers. Taunt annoys slower defensive mons and Sucker Punch can pick off Mewtwo, Latias, and other weakened targets.

+2 252 Atk Life Orb Arceus Extreme Speed vs. 248 HP / 252+ Def Yveltal: 239-282 (52.5 - 61.9%)
+2 0 Atk Dark Aura Yveltal Foul Play vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Arceus: 336-396 (88.1 - 103.9%)

Imo you should really run Rocky Helmet or Dread Plate on this set, because otherwise Arceus usually gets one free attack after you kill it, and that's never fun.

Groudon (check)

Groudon @ Leftovers
Ability: Drought
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 Def
Impish Nature
- Precipice Blades
- Stealth Rock
- Roar
- Stone Edge

With the arrival of Pdon normal Groudon hasn't seen as much use as it used to, but it still does a good job at checking one of the biggest threats in the metagame. The EV spread is standard, it allows Groudon to take two +2 ESpeeds from Ekiller at full hp and proceed to roar it out, or it can just 2HKO EKiller with PBlades after rocks plus Life Orb damage, or Life Orb damage alone.

252 Atk Life Orb Arceus Extreme Speed vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Groudon: 91-109 (22.5 - 26.9%) -- possible 5HKO after Leftovers recovery

+2 252 Atk Life Orb Arceus Extreme Speed vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Groudon: 183-216 (45.2 - 53.4%) -- 0.4% chance to 2HKO after Leftovers recovery

+2 252 Atk Life Orb Arceus Extreme Speed vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Groudon: 183-216 (45.2 - 53.4%) -- 34% chance to 2HKO after Stealth Rock and Leftovers recovery

4 Atk Groudon Earthquake vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Arceus: 163-193 (42.7 - 50.6%) -- 96.1% chance to 2HKO after Stealth Rock (Earthquake BP was changed to match PBlades)

Reserving Ghostceus
ok

Arceus-Ghost
Check

Arceus-Ghost @ Spooky Plate
Ability: Multitype
EVs: 248 HP / 8 Def / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Judgment
- Recover
- Will-O-Wisp
- Defog

Arceus-Ghost is an effective check to Extreme Killer Arceus. It is immune to Extreme Speed, and while Shadow Claw deals a good amount of damage, Arceus-Ghost can use Will-O-Wisp to cripple the opposing Arceus. While it cannot threaten Extreme Killer Arceus back very effectively, getting a burn allows it to be effectively dealt with through Recovering and other means of passive damage; keep in mind that Arceus-Ghost cripples Extreme Killer Arceus but does not necessarily beat it without help. Regarding the set, I chose to run maximum Speed investment, because getting speed ties with Extreme Killer Arceus is more helpful than a bit of extra bulk, because you can burn it before it can hit you with a +2 Shadow Claw. Here are some relevant calculations:

252 Atk Life Orb Arceus Shadow Claw vs. 248 HP / 8 Def Arceus-Ghost: 161-190 (36.3 - 42.8%) -- guaranteed 3HKO
+2 252 Atk Life Orb Arceus Shadow Claw vs. 248 HP / 8 Def Arceus-Ghost: 320-377 (72.2 - 85.1%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
+2 252 Atk Life Orb burned Arceus Shadow Claw vs. 248 HP / 8 Def Arceus-Ghost: 160-188 (36.1 - 42.4%) -- guaranteed 3HKO
+4 252 Atk Life Orb burned Arceus Shadow Claw vs. 248 HP / 8 Def Arceus-Ghost: 239-282 (53.9 - 63.6%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

To conclude, Arceus-Ghost is an effective check to Extreme Killer Arceus.

Clefable (Counter)

Clefable @ Leftovers
Ability: Unaware
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Bold Nature
- Wish
- Protect
- Toxic
- Heal Bell

Unaware Clefable is a complete and utter counter to E-Killer. Extreme Speed has only 8 pp, and is easily stalled out by Wish + Protect, while Arceus succumbs to Toxic damage. I don't think this is the most efficient spread Clefable can run, but since the purpose of this set is to be as good of a counter as possible to E-Killer, I chose max defense.

252 Atk Life Orb Arceus Extreme Speed vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Clefable: 142-168 (36 - 42.6%) -- 91.8% chance to 3HKO after Leftovers recovery

252 Atk Life Orb Arceus Extreme Speed vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Clefable on a critical hit: 212-251 (53.8 - 63.7%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery -- lol

252+ Atk Life Orb Arceus Extreme Speed vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Clefable: 153-183 (38.8 - 46.4%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Leftovers recovery -- not even adamant has a chance

Ferrothorn (Hard Check)

Ferrothorn @ Leftovers
Ability: Iron Barbs
EVs: 252 HP / 88 Def / 168 SpD
Relaxed Nature
IVs: 0 Spe
- Leech Seed
- Protect
- Gyro Ball
- Iron Defense/Spikes/SR

It might seem weird to have Iron Defense on Ferrothorn, but against E-Killer without a fire move, it actually works, granted Arceus doesn't get any critical hits. The EV spread is very cool, as it maxes out the HP stat while making it equal to his defense (which is a very optimal Def benchmark), and the rest in his mandatory SpD to take on a lot of SpA attackers in the meta. Against E-Killer, you usually want to set up Iron Defense first and then Leech Seed. After that you just spam Iron Defense until either you or him are at +6, which is when you can safely protect. Other than that, he can severly annoy Salamence, Zekrom, Metagross, Mawile, Scizor, Support Xerneas, Other clerics, Mega Diance, Aegislash, Lugia, Lati@s and pretty much all non-grass switch-ins.

And here's a replay showing most scenario's you can get vs the E-Killer of the week: http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/customgame-203280599

Counter

Giratina @ Leftovers
Trait: Pressure
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 Spd
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Rest
- Sleep Talk
- Will-O-Wisp
- Roar

Someone already posted Giratina-O so I guess there isn't much to say, except that regular Giratina while it's a worse mon in general, it's better than Giratina-O against Extreme Killer Arceus because it has much more bulkyness than its other form. Giratina can tank a +2 Shadow Claw quite easily and then wisp Arceus and after that it can decide to use Rest or Roar it away depending on the situation.

Calc of Arceus' +2 Shadow Claw against Giratina:

252 Atk Life Orb Arceus Shadow Claw vs. 248 HP / 252+ Def Giratina: 120-143 (23.8 - 28.4%) -- possible 5HKO after Leftovers recovery

First off, I'd like to say that there we so many good entries for E-Killer, that I decided to up the winners from 3 to 5. There were some good 'mons left out that definitely could have made it!

Anyways, for Week 8 we have Life Orb Ho-Oh!

Week 8: The flying terror, Life Orb Ho-Oh!

Ho-Oh @ Life Orb
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 248 HP / 196 Atk / 52 SpD / 12 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Sacred Fire
- Brave Bird
- Earthquake
- Roost

Assume that you DON'T know the speed of Ho-Oh (but you know it's Adamant), but it WILL out-speed Diancie Pre-Mevo. This means, you don't know if 252 Speed Adamant Groudon will out-speed Ho-Oh, but Jolly will.

Primal groudon (check)

383-p.png

Groudon-Primal @ Red Orb
Ability: Desolate Land
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 Def
Impish Nature
- Stone Edge
- Precipice Blades
- Thunder Wave
- Stealth Rock

Primal-groudon the king of ubers is a nice check to life orb variant of ho-oh. Resisting ho-oh's deadly STAB move sacred fire, this makes it easier for primal-don to check ho-oh. With these EVs on don, ho-oh cannot 2hko don with brave bird or earthquake and don can ohko ho-oh with stone edge in return. Its also great at checking other physical threats.

Ho-oh:

196+ Atk Life Orb Ho-Oh Brave Bird vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Groudon: 140-165 (34.6 - 40.8%) -- guaranteed 3HKO

196+ Atk Life Orb Ho-Oh Sacred Fire vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Groudon in Sun: 87-103 (21.5 - 25.4%) -- 0.2% chance to 4HKO

196+ Atk Life Orb Ho-Oh Earthquake vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Groudon: 156-185 (38.6 - 45.7%) -- guaranteed 3HKO

Groudon:

4 Atk Groudon Stone Edge vs. 248 HP / 0 Def Ho-Oh: 528-624 (127.2 - 150.3%) -- guaranteed OHKO
