Empoleon is a great Pokemon in UU, recently rising to top-tier status, as it boasts an excellent typing that allows it to check a whole host of threats like Primarina, Nihilego, and most Latias sets. Empoleon fits very well on bulky offense and balance teams and acts as a great Defogger, deterring common Stealth Rock setters like Hippowdon and Mega Aggron from switching into it with Scald. In addition, it can also function well as a Stealth Rock setter, as it can threaten Defoggers like Hydreigon, Latias, and Mega Altaria with Toxic. Empoleon is also great at spreading status with Scald and Toxic and is capable of racking up even more chip damage and gaining more passive recovery with Protect. However, Empoleon is weak to three common types in Electric, Fighting, and Ground, making teammates such as Hydreigon, Celebi, and Latias very appreciated. In addition, it struggles to beat Stealth Rock setters like Mamoswine, Blissey, and Swampert, which is something that must be considered when putting Empoleon on a team.

This looks awesome. Here are the only things I'd really do:
  • Slash Stealth Rock with Defog and mention in the spotlight that Empoleon can function as a Stealth Rock setter for a lot of the same reasons it can function well as a defogger. If you have enough room word count wise you can also try using this point to illustrate its surprising versatility for a defensive Pokemon.
  • Not a necessity, but maybe making a reference to its recent rise to what is now more or less top tier status towards the beginning of the spotlight could be nice just content and info wise.
Great work fren. 1/1

(Optional change; I feel this flows better and makes it more clear that Empoleon is the one receiving the passive recovery, rather than the foe.) However, Empoleon is weak to three common types in Electric, Fighting, and Ground, making teammates such as Hydreigon, Celebi, and Latias very appreciated.
