I went into this expecting the lower tiers to get better after the trainwreck that was Terrakion in PU and Thundurus in NU.

THEY GOT WORSE!!! At least Toxapex dropped now, but the other shifts are the reason there should be a new rule where Pokémon that were unbanned from a tier after a tier shift should not be allowed to drop to the tier below it in the next shift.

Interesting… Alomomola was in OU, dropped to UU, and now is back in OU… It should honestly just be added to UUBL. And of course my favorite Pokémon, Lucario, drops down to NU… Poor thing…

EDIT: I think Sleep Ban is still stupid, like, it was balanced, and heres the thing, the only teams I saw lose to Darkrai were teams that were fucking weak to him. If Darkrai was the problem, then just ban the problem.

EDIT 2: if they ban Tera, they are making Gen 9 worse imo, like, it is the gimmick, and Gamfreak, while they didn't quite hit the nail on the head in terms of balancing, they hit most of that nail, and I think its more balanced than Dynamax, Z-Moves, or even Mega Evolution

My thoughts:

1. Barraskewda, good job.
2. UU will look quite different without Iron Treads.
3. RU is going to be wild.
4. So will be ZU (I think. I don't really know.)
5. Toxapex's time is finally up. Don't know what to say about that.

Also, I don't think anyone cares, but I had a dream where Dudunsparce, Dreepy, Probopass and a Paradox form of Togekiss rose to OU.

The historical things that have happened this generation in the Smogon tiers continue to surprise me, one after another.

Seems this month's surprise ended up being Salamence and Hydreigon in RU of all things. Salamence, who was once Uber in Gen 4, is now sitting in the depths of RU.

Gengar too apparently. OU for so many generations and now it's RU as well.

Seeing all these once OU powerhouses as low as RU, speaking as someone who once played RU back in Gen 5 in 2013, is throwing me off big here. 10 years ago the thought of many of these mons coming anywhere near the land of RU was unthinkable.
