Unaware (Deoxys-Defense) @ Leftovers / Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Unaware
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD

IVs: 0 Atk / 0 Spe

- Spikes / Stealth Rock / Knock Off
- Teleport / Thunder Wave / Knock Off

[SET COMMENTS]
Boasting high defensive stats and a plethora of utility moves, Deoxys-D makes for an excellent Unaware wall that can check Iron Hands and setup Great Tusk while also providing additional utility like setting entry hazards and pivoting. Spikes is the preferred hazard, as Deoxys-D can usually set multiple layers, but Stealth Rock is an alternative for teams that lack a Stealth Rock setter otherwise, and Knock Off can be used to limit opposing setup threats like Iron Boulder and Quaquaval while also debilitating walls like Corviknight and Swampert. Teleport can be used in conjunction with Deoxys-D's low Speed to safely switch Pokemon in, while Thunder Wave can be used to cripple Gouging Fire and Iron Boulder. Leftovers is the preferred item for extra longevity, but Heavy-Duty Boots is an option on Teleport sets to enable easier pivoting. Defensive Pokemon like Corviknight and Mandibuzz appreciate Deoxys-D being able to take on setup threats such as Iron Hands and Iron Boulder, allowing them to better handle Dark-types like Roaring Moon. Offensive Pokemon like Galarian Zapdos, Chien-Pao, and Ceruledge appreciate Deoxys-D being able to weaken opposing walls with hazards or Knock Off, as well as potentially getting them in safely if it's running Teleport. Deoxys-D narrowly avoids 2HKOs from stronger wallbreakers like Iron Boulder, so hazard control options like Scrappy Great Tusk and Corviknight are highly recommended so that Deoxys-D can have more longevity.

Boasting high defensive stats and plethora of utility moves, Deoxys-D makes for an excellent uUnaware user that can check Iron Hands and set up Great Tusk while also being a potent entry hazard setter with access to Spikes and Stealth Rock. Spikes can be used for teams that want Spikes support, Stealth Rock is an alternative hazard for teams that lack a Stealth Rock setter otherwise, while Knock Off can also be an option to limit opposing set up threats like Iron Boulder and Quaquaval while also crippling defensive walls like Corviknight and Swampert. Teleport can be used in conjunction with Deoxys-D's low speed to safely switch Pokemon in, while Thunder Wave can be used to cripple Gouging Fire and Iron Boulder. Defensive Pokemon like Corviknight and Mandibuzz appreciate Deoxys-D being able to take on set up threats, set up threats like? allowing for them to better handle Dark-types like Roaring Moon. Could be worth elaborating more on how Deoxys-Defense struggles to handle extremely strong Banded/Fire types so partners that can help to alleviate its burden (like Corv) are appreciated Offensive Pokemon like Zapdos-G, Chien-Pao, and Ceruledge appreciate Deoxys-D being able to cripple opposing walls with hazards or Knock Off, as well as potentially being able to get them in safely if its running Teleport. Deoxys-D has low very very low HP Actually, is the part about it having low HP even worth mentioning? Bulk is still high and it's not like it changes how SR/Spikes impact it if it had equivalent bulk with higher HP instead, unless it does and I'm bad and is reliant on being at near-full hp to wall set up threats, so hazard control like Scrappy Great Tusk and Corviknight are highly recommended so that Deoxys-D can have more longevity.

Spikes can be used for teams that want Spikes support i'd also mention specific mons that appreciate spikes support, Stealth Rock is an alternative hazard for teams that lack a Stealth Rock setter otherwise, while Knock Off can also be an option to limit opposing set up threats like Iron Boulder and Quaquaval while also crippling defensive walls like Corviknight and Swampert. Teleport can be used in conjunction with Deoxys-D's low speed to safely switch Pokemon in, while Thunder Wave can be used to cripple Gouging Fire and Iron Boulder.
