TotalPotato vs. FinnRagetti (Ref: Kaxtar) MATCH OVER

Let's try something a little tricksy. Rosemary, use Magical Leaf, but don't fire it straight at Sparkles - fire it away from the brush fire - hopefully, that'll distract her. While she's (hopefully) distracted, circle around so that the fire is between you and Sparkles, whilst charging up a Hidden Power Water (5 power) to fire at both Sparkles and the brush fire once you've positioned yourself. Finish the round with AncientPower! Oh, and if you get the chance, back towards the tree, but only if you have the time - don't make it a priority.

Magical Leaf (away from Sparkles and the fire) - Hidden Power Water (5 power) - AncientPower

Chikorita starts with a magical leaf, which it sends out to distract Sparkles. Sparkles doesn't care, however, as it rushes over to the brush-fire to activate its flash fire. Chikorita really wants to put out the brush fire right away, so it begins charging up HP water while circling around Sparkles, but sparkles hits it with a Flame Burst while also spreading the brush fire. Things aren't looking so good for the plant.

Amped up by the fire, Sparkles uses a Heatwave quickly, but in its rush partially misses Chikorita, only dealing two thirds of the total damage. Chikorita can't deal with the fire that seems to just keep spreading, so it spreads out its HP water as far as it will go, with only 20% of the water hitting Hitomoshi. The then-smoldering origins of the brush fire was put out, but the newly burning leaves are merely slowed down. Hitomoshi tries to move towards the fire, but gets blindsided by an Ancient Power that seemed to have come from nowhere. In response, it fires a flame burst quickly at Chikorita, and hits it for good damage. By now, the fire is advancing towards the tree, and it is only a matter of time before the pokemon there get angry.

The brush fire is advancing towards the honey tree, and when it hits it, only Apiom, Munchlax and Heracross will come out (the smaller bugs/grasses are too scared of the forest fire). One pokemon will then hit each competitor with one move at the end of each round. By now, the fire has advanced too much for it to be stopped, and Chikorita will be damaged 3 points if it ends a round in the flames (hitomoshi won't because of flash fire). Right now, Chikorita is not in the fire, and it is 20 feet away from the tree. Hitomoshi is in the flames, about 7 feet away from Rosemary and 15 feet from the tree. There is a section of field that has already been burned down (a 8 by 8 foot square), and is therefore safe for Chikorita; this is also where Chikorita is currently standing. Finally, the tree itself won't catch on fire. If you have any question about the field, VM me (I know it is quite complicated, but bare with me; in 2 more rounds, the fire will have burned itself out, and the field will be covered in ash).

Okay, Rosemary, put up another Light Screen. Then hit Sparkles with two more AncientPower attacks! But if you somehow get really close to Sparkles at some point, replace an AncientPower with PoisonPowder.

Light Screen - AncientPower - AncientPower
If Sparkles gets too close, use PoisonPowder in place of an AncientPower

Can't let you get that Light Screen up without a price. Move close after confusing
Chikorita and Flameburst the Powder that flies towards you.
Confuse Ray-->Flame Burst Powder/Her as you push her back-->Fire Spin Chikorita trapping her by the tree

Hitomoshi starts off the match with a quick confuse ray, which hits Chikorita and gives it a medium confusion (forgot the actual name for the mid-level confusion). Unluckily for Chikorita, it also gets confused while trying to get up its light screen. Sparkles takes advantage of this; it rushes behind and hits Chikorita with a flash fire boosted flame burst, sending it dangerously close to the inferno. Chikorita tries to hit Hitomoshi with an ancient power, but gets hit again with confusion.

Feeling a little better, Chikorita fires off a final ancient power, which connects with Hitomoshi, and it luckily raises all of its stats! Not disheartened by this streak of luck Chikorita has going for it, Sparkles uses a fire spin, knocking Chikorita back towards the tree, and trapping it in place. Fire Spin also damages Chikorita before the round ends. Things aren't looking so good for Rosemary.

The fire is now at the tree. starting from this round until the end of the match, one pokemon will come out the end of each round, and try to hit one pokemon during the next round. An attack dealing over 12 points of damage will drive a pokemon back into the tree. Next round, a munchlax will be pursuing Rosemary, while an Aipom will be chasing after Sparkles. Chickorita is right at the burning tree, and Hitomoshi is 6 feet away.

Haha, yeah, this matchup seems to have statuses flying around all over the place. Also, you're a bit of a pyromaniac in both our battles, aren't you Kaxtar?

Okay, I think now's a good time to heal yourself up with Synthesis. If you fail due to confusion, use Synthesis again, but if you succeed, try setting up that Light Screen again. Whatever happens, take advantage of those boosts at the end of the round with an AncientPower fired at Sparkles!

Chikorita fights through confusion and uses a tactical synthesis, replenishing some of its lost HP. Hitomoshi gets a Flame Burst going towards Chikorita, and hits it, but fails to KO due to the ancient power stat boosts. Munchlax, however, reaches Chikorita (gets to Chikorita before Aipom gets to Hitomoshi due to Mucnhlax's thick fat which lets it move through the fire) and smack it around with a Little by Little (Round, idk what the official English name is) before retreating to its tree. Caught off guard by the speed of its surprise foe, Hitomoshi finishes Chikorita before it can do anything else. It uses its final prepared flame burst to send its chasing Aipom back to where it came from.

Hitomoshi is in the flames still, about 10 feet from the tree. The new pokemon (Mankey) will start about 15 feet from hitomoshi, not in the forest fire. Next round, each pokemon will have an Aipom chasing after it. Finn, you are up first.

Congrats Sparkles. You are doing very good. Now give it all you got! Stay in the flames to keep Flash Fire active. If he gets near you use Psychic to throw him by the tree.

Psychic-->Flame Burst-->Heatwave
Use Psychic to throw him by the fire if he gets close.

Peekay, Encore that Flame Burst from the last round. Then use some Acrobatics to get that Aipom out of your way, whilst also avoiding that Flame Burst if you can. Then, Encore Flame Burst again!

Whilst you're doing all this, try to back away from Sparkles and avoid those Flame Bursts as best as you can.

Mankey, fresh from its pokeball, starts off by getting up close to Hitomoshi, Encoring it into the attack it last used, Flame Burst. Hitomoshi then feels a great urge to keep repeating Flame Burst, even though it has to go against its trainers orders. It does manage to hit Mankey, though. The Aipom then come looking for the source of the fire, and begin to strike. One Aipom hits the encored Hitomoshi with an Astonish, causing it to flinch. The other Aipom attempts to hit Mankey with a Fury Swipes, but Aipom makes it go away with a strong Acrobat.

After the wild assult, Hitomoshi has to use Flame Burst again, but fails to hit Mankey, who is currently dodging the fire. At the end of the round, more pokemon come out of the tree, and Mankey escapes from the flames.

Mankey didn't Encore a second time because Hitomoshi was still under the effects of the first encore because it didn't perform its second move due to the flinch. Both pokemon are again 15 feet away, and Total Potato is up next. Also, next round an Aipom will be after Hitomoshi, while a Munchlax will be in pursuit of Mankey. Finally, Hitomoshi can use another attack costing over 6 energy; if it does, it will faint immediately afterwards and the attack will not be as powerful as a regular use of that move.

Encore again, Peekay! Let Sparkles burn herself out!

Dunno if you're allowed to use actions once Sparkles has fainted if there are wild Pokémon to contend with, but if you are, ward that Munchlax off with Karate Chop, then Chill.

If Sparkles somehow manages to avoid Encore, keep the Karate Chop on Munchlax, then Rock Slide on Sparkles. If at any time Sparkles uses Will-o-wisp or Confuse Ray, Dig to avoid it.

Encore - (Karate Chop - Chill)
or if Encore is avoided
Encore - Karate Chop on Munchlax/Dig - Rock Slide/Dig

Chill out Hitomoshi. Stay above the fire and chill.

Hitomoshi just wants to take it easy, so it just chills for the all of its actions this round while recovering energy. Mankey gets up close to Encore, but Hitomoshi doesn't care, as this is what it planned to do. At this time, the pokemon come on out of the tree and attack. Munchlax is warded off by the Karate Chop of Mankey, while Hitomoshi weathers Aipom's astonish like a champ. To end the round, Mankey uses a Rock slide on Hitomoshi to damage it, using some of the fallen and hardened branches to hit Sparkles with. Mankey ends the round in flames, getting damaged a little bit, but not burned.

Next round, the forest fire will have burnt itself out, and the flames will go away, and the mechanics of the wild pokemon will return to normal. Next round, Aipoms will be attacking both pokemon. Sparkles and Mankey are about 6 feet apart, both in flames.

Stupid infinite priority Chill...

Forget this Encoring business - Dig first of all both to dodge the Psychic with your superior speed and attack Sparkles - I think you should still be able to hit her, since she's only hovering a little above the ground.

If Dig hits, finish her off with Assurance, then Karate Chop the Aipom coming at you.

If Dig doesn't hit, attack Sparkles with Rock Slide, then Assurance.

Mankey hops underground quickly, hoping to strike Hitomoshi off-guard. While it was preparing a psychic, sparkles stops, knowing that it can't influence mankey if it is underground. Instead, it charges up a heat wave. As it surfaces and attacks, Mankey hits but then gets nailed by Heat Wave, knocking it back. It then uses a swift assurance to KO Hitomoshi, and finishes the round by karate chopping the wild aipom away. It used up a lot of energy, but thankfully that darned hitomoshi is finally fainted. Mankey ends the round in the flames, which finally subside soon after.

Mankey begins the round, and wants to finish the battle up quickly. Mankey starts off by smashing Eevee with a Close Combat, sacrificing defenses for quick, solid damage. Eevee gets right back up and hurts Mankey with Retaliation, drawing power form its fallen friend. This pushes both pokemon towards the tree. Eevee then uses quick attack, but mankey tries to respond with a karate chop. Mankey takes Eevee's attack, and manages to hit Eevee on the leg. However, Makey goes flying into the tree, and a Wurmple comes out! Mankey tries to finish up with a Screech on Eevee, but it detects the sound and is unaffected. However, the Wurmple is not safe, and gets scared off by the high-pitched sounds. Thank god that wurmple is gone, those bug bites hurt like hell.
