Holy Dom . That core is actually part of a squad that ctc has actually already made, not to menton fairly standard. I'll include what I remember here for you but I advise you read the op and other peoples reqs rather than jumping right in.

I cant explain the reasons ctc chose these mons to accompany but pretty standard deal. Medi to weaken squad/ force switches, racking up hazard damage for a late game SD Talon Sweep. Scarf Lando deals with many faster mons this team has trouble with, namely Lati Twins, ZardX, Rushdrill and the mega cleaners, while also providing some nice switch initiative w U Turn and helpful utility in Intimidate. Ferro deals with mons like Azu, who fucks this team up otherwise, and is a great glue to the team, switching in to monsters like Megados and TTar, who give this team trouble if Lando is dead. Sd talon can be replaced with Band if you like, however, you lack a concrete wincon otherwise and SD talon > Band imo. HP Fight Latias is just to lure and weaken tran and TTar a bit to give Talon an easier time late game at sweeping. Washtom for obvious burd weakness. Im sure ctc can further explain his choices, this was just what I thought by looking at it and keep in mind these arent his exact sets, I made modifications where I saw fit.

Good luck
Well the Latias & Talon in that team perform different roles than the one I wanted on mine. I don't think you actually read my posts since you ignored a lot of the key things I stated and just gave a separate team with the same mons. I have no reason to run HP Fighting Lati since if I'm predicting TTar, I can just double into Medicham rather than wasting a mon to weaken TTar, especially one I need to support Talonflame by getting rid of hazards.

I'm not saying Band Talon is better than SD Talon, but U-Turn is key to the team since it allows Medi to come in safer than on a double switch. The team is based more on baiting checks to Talon and Latias so Medi can weaken teams severly enough to the point that Talon can either just use Brave Bird to win, or weakening teams to the point that Medicham with Tailwind support (another key move for the team) can clean up late game, which is why there's no clear wincon. Especially since it's not the whole team.

Still, thanks for the team. I'll move things around and try it out. And that's Lefties Lando-T on that team btw, not Scarf.

can you make me a trick room team with rhyperior in it ty dude i'd like explanations for the mons and team building process too.
Honestly??... Right after Flamer's post too ...

Holy Dom did I say I was actually building the team from scratch? This was a pre-made team that happened to have the core you wanted, if you dont like some of the choices, change them, no one is stopping you. If you want to rely on a double switch to beat TTar, be my guest, HP Fighting is just a neat way of getting a last 60-70% on TTar to bring it down to low health and weakening Tran to the point where +2 Talon OHKOs. Also choice locked Tailwind is really unreliable in any case, against the semi-experienced player, they will use that as an opportunity to set up/heal when they see you're on low health, not to mention M-Medi is not a cleaner, but a breaker. And finally, the team in question already has not one, but two Voltturn users, one of which, Def. Washtom, is far better at bringing in safely mons thanks to its slow Volt Switch and the other can actually be brought in safely thanks to intimidate and a decent defensive typing.

And btw, lefties on Lando-T was just an editing mistake, I edited the mons by hand from a team in the op that had half the mons needed so there will probably be a few discrepancies, just read through before playing bc im not sure if I missed something

hi.
@ Leftovers
Ability: Synchronize
EVs: 252 HP / 104 SpD / 152 Spe
Careful Nature
- Taunt
- Will-O-Wisp
- Roost
- Knock Off

so, i wanted to make a new team since MMaw was banned, and i looked in the viability thread for cool mons to use and everyone was hyping mew, so why not use that? the set itself is standard, nothing to really talk about there

@ Leftovers
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 88 HP / 232 Atk / 4 Def / 184 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Substitute
- Dragon Dance
- Waterfall
- Bounce

i was thinking of mons that synergize well with mew, and gyara seemed like a nice choice, because it can set up on tran/keldeo(???) and check the zards (?????) and mew can burn ferro (???????) and check terrak/burn ttar (i might have no idea what i'm talking about ????????). you can put mega gyara here if you want, i just wanted to test out this set in particular but idrc.

i honestly don't really know what else to do next here, (i'm really bad at this) so any random semi-effective team would be appreciated. sorry if i didn't explain enough or anything, i'm more of a lurker than a poster. thanks for doing this.

Yo, CTC, here's something here's a mon you can build around ya?

Victini @ Life Orb
Ability: Victory Star
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
- Blue Flare
- Thunder
- Substitute
- Focus Blast

Its a Victini with Substitute. Sure, not the most original thing in the world, but I've tested it out on a below averagely decent team i made and it's shown its success.

I'd truly appreciate you building a team around this monster, I love using Victini and i'm pretty sure you'll like the team you built with this, if you decide to that is.

If you could include a teambuilding process that'd be great, as it could be used as a great example for others when looking for tips on how to build for a specific mon (no, nothing like a "guide on how to build around a pokemon") but yea

Thanks, and i'll appreciate the possible finished product. :]

Small edit: If you want a bit more to work with, i'd like some mons that would synergize will with victini, but at the same time not jeopardize each mon's chances of a well performance. Like supporting attackers, possibly hazard/wish support, etc, thx

Can you make a team with mega cross+cube? There are very little pokemon this two can't break in stall so i think that it will work perfectly for someone like me(I hate stall). No success making the team though as i suck at team building.

Also love the sprites where did u get them?

Remember that these teams aren't necessarily final. Some of the sets can be changed to an extent and the team will still be fine.

Ma man ctc. I gotta core of deez powerhouses and u gotta make a team for my man. Aight so it's

Diggersby @ Life Orb
Ability: Huge Power
Happiness: 0
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Frustration
- Earthquake
- Quick Attack
- U-turn/Wild Charge/Swords Dance/Agilty
Charizard-Mega-Y @ Charizardite Y
Ability: Drought
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature

Talonflame @ Sharp Beak
Ability: Gale Wings
EVs: 104 HP / 252 Atk / 152 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Brave Bird
- Flare Blitz
- Swords Dance
- Roost/Tailwind

The main idea to to smack stuff wit diggersbytho and Zard y and weaken the team and then have talon late game cause rotom and tyranitar and talon checks get bopped by the supporters. Or talon and can tailwind and give am other mons some speed to clean late game and or revenge threats like dd tar and stuff. Maybe Defog healing wish lati on there. Water weakness Is meh cause sun. Slap on AV azu idk. Make it great Based Lord CTC :]]]

That is literally everything Flamer said not to do on the previous page. -_-'

Alright, sorry guys, I did that on purpose to see what kind of hate would get. I don't know why, I read the post and did exactly the opposite, But to be serious, I want to build a team around Nasty Plot Azelf and DD Mega-Tar. I thought it would look something like this.

Azelf @ Lum Berry
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Psyshock
- Thunderbolt
- Energy Ball
- Nasty Plot

Tyranitar @ Tyranitarite
Ability: Sand Stream
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Stone Edge
- Crunch
- Ice Punch
- Dragon Dance

I think that this could work because Azelf is really underrated in my opinion. It outspeeds Thundurus and Latios with attack stats rivaling Keldeo and Thundurus. With amazing coverage and offensive stats, i can see Azelf really shining in OU paired with tyranitar. Because i first thought of talonflame and m-manectric as stops, greninja as well. Bisharp looks kinda bleh. So i wanted to put AV on azumarill for ninja and a little help with bish. So if anyone could help, thanks. Again, sorry about earlier

I have a core in mind but I can't get it to work for me :[
Could you try? And if you don't mind could you explain the team building process you went through? Cheers m8 :]

Keldeo @ Choice Specs
Ability: Justified
EVs: 252SpA / 4SDef/ 252 Spe
Timid Nature
-Hydro Pump
-Scald
-Hidden Power Flying
-Secret Sword

Tyranitar @Tyranitarite
Ability: Sand Stream
EVs: 252Atk / 4Def/ 252Spe
Jolly Nature
Dragon Dance
Stone Edge
Crunch/EQ
Ice Punch

Landorus-Incarnate @ Life Orb
Ability: Sheer Force
EVs: 252SpA / 4Def / 252Spe
Timid Nature
Earth Power
Psychic
Focus Blast
U-turn

The point of this core is to lure in each pokes checks/counters with one poke and then beat that with another in the core. U-turn on Lando-I is to provide momentum on a predicted switch in to Lando. Crunch can be used on TTar to hit Slowbro whereas EQ can hit Bisharp and Conk on the switch in, your choice as to what you want to use. If you could make a team around this core it'd be great :]]]]]]]

damn,,,, they do get worse and worse aye,,,,,
nothin much worth replyin
heres the zelf + twind zard request

screens do gr8 for bd azu and zard, as theyr naturally bulky enough to tank hits. loom does 2 things, weaken grasses for bd azu to clean and to revenge ninja. with zard rampaging thru water resists and fat grounds like lant/azu/slowbro/gliscor etc, lant has a chance to shine late. azu/loom/tar form a great core against fire water grass + lati fat shits seeing as sand cuts off venu regeneration while lo loom really dents the fat grasses.
team is a bit slow so cham gard and hera can be problematic. ace on zard is needed for the 2 fights, and jolly zard so i can at least be stronger vs admt/modest versions of the mega psychics

There should seriously be a mod monitering this thread deleting shitposts. The spam is a little out of hand. Also CTC you should put something in the OP regarding what cores you have accepted and are working on, especially since im sure some take more time than others.

Kool team but

Is psywave some next level innovation or some next level typo?
I personally don't like Psywave on paper. Yeah, it does neutral damage to everything except Dark-types (which are still immune), but it also is variable damage - and therefore very unreliable - and doesn't get boosted by STAB. In my own building around Doublade, I came up with a team style very similar, but kind of combined the roles of Latias and Gastrodon in a defensive, Reflect Type Starmie. This is more reliable than Psywave on Latias, and lets me spam more Scald while also having something speedy on the team besides Talon.

This replacement/condensing also opens a slot up for another Poke of my choice. Personally, I'm trying out a bulky late-game setup sweeper to clean up the pieces that the predominantly defensive team leaves behind it. Don't laugh, but I've been using DD ChestoRest Zygarde, which has been fun so far and helps with the offensive Heatran problems, and adds to the slightly more "niche/fun team" idea of using Doublade. Feel free to use whatever there; I just wanted an excuse to use Zygarde again. SpD Gliscor might be a neat option in that last slot, since Mew gives the team a surprising amount of trouble as well as offensive Tran.

Ey yo so I'm making a regen voltturn squad based around these two:

Mienshao @ Life Orb
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpA / 252 Spe
Naive Nature
IVs: 29 HP / 30 Atk / 30 Def
- Fake Out
- High Jump Kick
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- U-turn

Tornadus-Therian (M) @ Life Orb
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 4 Atk / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Hasty Nature
- Air Slash/Hurricane
- Superpower
- Knock Off
- U-turn

Plan was to wear down with speedy u-turns and fake outs while using SR support as chip damage, which isn't too difficult as the two have great offensive synergy with their STABs n perfect movepool coverage, makin switchins a bitch for just about anything. Important to keep rocks off tho as even with regen they can get worn down p easily by bein so fuckin frail they die any strong neutral hit... anyway I built the beginnings of a squad around these two, biggest weakness is mega zam as nothing can safely switch in besides Latias nd nothing outspeeds it bar Gyara @ +1... Same story for Mega Aero but Land-T does a p good job at handling it. Ninja can be troublesome but got a scarf ton for revengin, non-mega'd gyara handles azu n talon blahblahblah you know what this shit's for, anyway here's the squad nd some input would be neato, ty bass lurd...

Mienshao @ Life Orb
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpA / 252 Spe
Naive Nature
IVs: 29 HP / 30 Atk / 30 Def
- Fake Out
- High Jump Kick
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- U-turn

Tornadus-Therian (M) @ Life Orb
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 4 Atk / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Hasty Nature
- Air Slash
- Superpower
- Knock Off
- U-turn

Latias (F) @ Life Orb
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 72 HP / 184 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Draco Meteor
- Psyshock
- Defog
- Roost

Magneton @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Magnet Pull
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Thunderbolt
- Flash Cannon
- Hidden Power [Fire]
- Volt Switch

Gyarados @ Gyaradosite
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 88 HP / 236 Atk / 184 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Dragon Dance
- Waterfall
- Earthquake
- Ice Fang

Landorus (Landorus-Therian) (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 184 HP / 220 Def / 104 Spe
Impish Nature
- U-turn
- Earthquake
- Stealth Rock
- Stone Edge

current mons givin me woes are scarf lati@s, namely latios in particular, no safe switchins n nothing that can do real damage outspeeds... might replace Gyara w Gardevoir or TTar, at the cost of bein more azu weak

edit: K so after dickin around a bit I came up with RegenSquad 2.0, less lati@s weak n gives less shits about dragons in general n still keepin up momentum, arguably even better than before. gotta watch out for Azu tho, don't be stingy with will-o:

Mienshao @ Life Orb
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpA / 252 Spe
Hasty Nature
IVs: 29 HP / 30 Atk / 30 Def
- Fake Out
- High Jump Kick
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- U-turn

Tornadus-Therian (M) @ Life Orb
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 4 Atk / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Hasty Nature
- Air Slash
- Superpower
- Knock Off
- U-turn

Magneton @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Magnet Pull
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Thunderbolt
- Flash Cannon
- Hidden Power [Fire]
- Volt Switch

Mandibuzz @ Leftovers
Ability: Overcoat
EVs: 248 HP / 136 Def / 108 SpD / 16 Spe
Bold Nature
- Defog
- Foul Play
- U-turn
- Roost

Gardevoir (F) @ Gardevoirite
Ability: Trace
EVs: 24 Def / 232 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Hyper Voice
- Psyshock
- Focus Blast
- Will-O-Wisp

Landorus-Therian (M) @ Leftovers

Can you make a team around a core like this (keep the bolded stuff):

Scolipede @ Focus Sash
Ability: Speed Boost
EVs: 248 HP / 8 Def / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk / 0 SpA
- Spikes
- Toxic Spikes
- Baton Pass
- Endeavor

Landorus (M) @ Life Orb
Ability: Sheer Force
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Earth Power
- Focus Blast
- Psychic
- Gravity

The way this core works is pretty obvious. I tried to make a team around this with Bisharp (defog prevention) and Mega-Heracross (speed boost pass), but I could not get past 1600 on the ladder.
