[SET COMMENTS]
Galarian Stunfisk functions as a great Stealth Rock user in NU. Its great HP stat paired up with its decent defensive stats and incredible typing makes it a great check to common threats such as Togedemaru, Rotom-F, and Indeedee-F. Yawn lets Galarian Stunfisk pressure Pokemon that would like to switch in such as Eldegoss, Wishiwashi, and Piloswine, forcing them to switch out again or to sleep. Stone Edge hits common Defoggers such as Rotom-S and Rotom-F hard. Snap Trap is an alternative to Stone Edge; when paired with Yawn, it can force a foe to sleep or, when used alongside Protect, can be used to rack up chip damage. It also lets Galarian Stunfisk severely cripple Rotom-S, as it's unable to do anything once trapped. Thunder Wave can be used over Yawn to cripple setup sweepers such as Alcremie and Cofagrigus. An alternative EV spread of 252 HP / 64 Atk / 192 SpD can be used to OHKO Toxicroak with Earthquake after Life Orb recoil.
Galarian Stunfisk usually belongs on non-offensive teams because they most appreciate its blend of utility and defensive presence. Galarian Stunfisk's passivity invites in the other predominant Stealth Rock users in Piloswine and Sandaconda, so Water-types such as Wishiwashi and Silvally-Water are great partners, being able to take these Ground-types out while also checking Fire-type Pokemon like Silvally-Fire and Rapidash. Grass-types such as Eldegoss and Abomasnow can also pressure these Ground-types and are able to switch into Water-type attacks directed at Galarian Stunfisk. Poison-type Pokemon like Garbodor and Toxicroak can check Fighting-type Pokemon such as opposing Toxicroak and Sawk while appreciating Galarian Stunfisk's ability to take out opposing Poison-type Pokemon. They also punish the most common spinner Eldegoss, a Pokemon that fully counters Galarian Stunfisk. Fairy-type Pokemon such as Alcremie and Clefairy also check Fighting-type Pokemon, with Clefairy also absorbing status from moves like Will-O-Wisp and being able to pass Wishes to Galarian Stunfisk.
