Slowbro can be a pain to deal with. Physically, it's a tank that can take anything that isn't STAB + Super Effective. But, there's a Pokémon that can take a Scald horribly; with the luxury of doing 1.5x the damage to that same Slowbro.

Ability: Solid Rock
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 Def
Lax Nature
IVs: 0 SpD / 10 Spe
- Stealth Rock
- Earthquake
- Body Press
- Metal Burst

Imma gonna keep it real with you chief, this is the ONLY Lax natured Pokémon you'll ever come across. "Why Lax nature and 0 SpD anyways??" The answer lies with Focus Sash + Metal Burst. If you get hit with a Scald by Slowbro, you would drop faster than I could say "Four times effective!" But, with Focus Sash + Metal Burst, you can let Slowbro move first (with the 10 Speed IVs) and OHKO it back. This set goes for ALL special attackers, such as Keldo, Rotom-W, etc. Against physical attackers however, its still the tank everybody knows and loves. With Rock Blast + Body Press, it becomes the Kommo-o of UU. Physical attackers that check Rhyperior such as the rare Dragon Dance Flygon and Krookodile get chipped quite nicely due to a max power Body Press. If Flygon gets up a Dragon Dance, you can easily Metal Burst that threat away. Even if it sucks more than ever specially defensive, it still doesn't have a care in the world walling physical attackers and bursting special attackers.

If a Slowbro tries to pivot off of your wimpy wall (or kill you with Psyshock/Future. Sight) it switches in to Sludge Bomb/ Strange Steam and takes;

252+ SpA Weezing-Galar Sludge Bomb vs. 252 HP / 4 SpD Slowbro: 145-172 (36.8 - 43.6%) -- guaranteed 3HKO

Who cares right, Regenegator it off! But;

252+ SpA Weezing-Galar Thunder vs. 252 HP / 4 SpD Slowbro: 238-280 (60.4 - 71%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

Or if you prefer accuracy (this is my preference, if Thunder misses you've wasted your lure);
252+ SpA Weezing-Galar Thunderbolt vs. 252 HP / 4 SpD Slowbro: 194-230 (49.2 - 58.3%) -- 98.4% chance to 2HKO

which can miss the 2KO, but since your Neutralizing Gas blocks it's Regenerator it's not a big deal if it manages to Teleport out on 8% HP.

Meanwhile;
0 SpA Slowbro Psyshock vs. 212 HP / 0 Def Weezing-Galar: 150-176 (46.2 - 54.3%) -- 6.3% chance to 2HKO after Black Sludge recovery

252+ SpA Choice Specs Weezing-Galar Thunder vs. 252 HP / 4 SpD Slowbro: 354-418 (89.8 - 106%) -- 37.5% chance to OHKO

Zarude's a new addition to the tier that checks a whole host of Pokemon like Polteageist, Slowbro, and Heliolisk... but with so many weaknesses to common attacking types, there are surely some Pokemon that can lure it in and remove it. How will you do it?

Pollen puff with earth power gives celebi a way to lure zarude in on switch in when it thinks it’s safe with ep instead of aura sphere, while retaining coverage for slowtwins still without grass stab and offensively checking other celebis and getting to run ep for av glowbro

body press bronzong can catch zarude as a lure, since zarude has the option jungle healing it can basically get rid of its status when bronzong dishes out a toxic; but body press is a clean 2hko and damages zarude pretty well without using iron defense beforehand. after using an iron defense upon the switch from zarude it can dish out heavy damage and its a OHKO.

Very straightforward lure option. Zarude is almost always paired with a Slowbro/Slowking/Slowbro-G clicking Future Sight and normally Zarude would abuse Chansey being the main Future Sight absorber of your team being able to break through it with the little Future Sight chip damage, well, that`s not a problem anymore. Counter always OHKO Zarude clicking Power Whip or Close Combat.
