SS OU Summer Seasonal #1​

SPECIFIC RULES

• This is a standard SS OU tournament. All matches must be played in the [Gen 8] OU format.
• This tournament will be Double Elimination.
• Rounds will be Best of Three. You may switch teams in between battles of the same set.
• Matches are to be played on Pokemon Showdown! (Main or SmogTours)
• Replays are required.
• Activity calls will be made by me, potentially with neutral assistance from a Tournament Director. Coin flips will be done publicly on PS!
• In the event that something is added to or removed from the SS OU metagame in the middle of a round, that change will be in effect starting the next round.
• Do not cheat. Cheating will result in a disqualification. Additional punishments may be applied as necessary. Cheating includes, but is not limited to:
  • Signing up with more than one account
  • Ghosting or being ghosted by another player (e.g. while playing a set, asking for advice about what plays to make)
  • Manipulating match outcomes (e.g. throwing a match in exchange for Smogon likes)
• Do not harass or insult your opponents. I reserve the right to disqualify anyone breaking this rule. Additional punishments may be applied as necessary.

What are we playing for?
This tournament will award points towards the 2023 SS OU Circuit, which awards a ribbon to the winner of the entire circuit.

I told her this time was tough for me, it also wasnt 15 mins before i let here know ill be on in a moment, and i was on under 20 mins after she left the message to chall

To be eligible for favorable judgment in an activity decision:

Individuals
- If Player A and Player B agreed on a time, and Player B failed to show up, Player A must have checked in via the same medium used to schedule, citing the server and PS name, if different from forum username. They must have waited for at least 15 minutes before leaving. If Player B communicated their delay, this period may be extended to up to 30 minutes.

fatBatman communicated their delay, hence the window to claim act was extended to 4:30 PM GMT +2.
Ina fable called act at 4:20 PM GMT +2, rendering the act call invalid. If the series is not played by deadline, an extension until Wednesday will be granted. If no rescheduling effort is made, an act win/coinflip decision will be made accordingly.
