Set Details
===================
Caribolt functions as a solid wallbreaker for offensive teams thanks to the herculean strength of its Galvanize-boosted Double-Edge, capable of breaking even the sturdiest defensive Pokemon in the metagame. Furthermore, Caribolt can use Rapid Spin to boost its speed and sweep through weakened teams after a single Swords Dance, while also allowing it to take on a supportive role as a hazard remover. Horn Leech is the primary option for Grass STAB on Caribolt, as the healing it provides can mitigate the massive recoil damage it suffers from using Double-Edge repeatedly. Leftovers is Caribolt’s go-to item, as it helps to make Caribolt less reliant on Horn Leech to keep itself healthy. Jolly is the preferred nature, as it allows Caribolt to outspeed Venomicon-E and Choice Band Urshifu-R, who otherwise threaten to OHKO Caribolt with Gunk Shot and Close Combat, respectively. Alternatively, if dealing with these Pokemon is not a priority, Adamant serves as a viable alternative that allows Caribolt to more reliably 2HKO Defensive Zapdos and give it a chance to OHKO Dragapult after a boost from Swords Dance.

Caribolt finds itself at home on hyper offense teams. Cawmodore stands out as one of Caribolt’s most solid partners, as the pair immensely benefits from their abilities to pressure their shared checks, most particularly Dragapult, who serves as a massive threat against the teams that they are traditionally found on. Other Flying-type sweepers such as Venomicon-Epilogue and Galarian Moltres also make for solid teammates, as they heavily appreciate Caribolt’s ability to keep hazards off the field, while in return, they have no issues dealing with any opposing Grass-types that Caribolt would otherwise struggle against. Physical Sweepers such as Garchomp and Weavile struggle to break past Arghonaut, and as such, they appreciate Caribolt’s ability to easily dispatch of it. Since Caribolt wears itself down quickly, it heavily appreciates support from dual screens setters such as Alolan Ninetales and Tapu Koko, the latter is notable thanks to its provided Electric Terrain support, boosting the power of Caribolt’s already strong Electric-type attacks. Finally, other Grass-type sweepers such as Kartana and Rillaboom appreciate Caribolt’s ability to deal with Flying-types such as Corviknight and Venomicon, with Caribolt also appreciating Grassy Terrain support from Rillaboom, helping it better mitigate recoil damage taken from Double-Edge and boost the power of Horn Leech.

Checks and Counters
===================
**Grass-types**: Pyroak serves as Caribolt’s greatest counter, as it is not threatened by Caribolt’s attacks and can heal damage taken when switching-in with Synthesis, while OHKOing Caribolt with Overheat. Other bulky Grass-types, such as Ferrothorn and Tangrowth, pose similar problems for Caribolt, as it is unable to apply significant pressure on them. Kartana can switch-in on Double-Edge and deal significant damage to Caribolt with Knock Off, but doing this takes a noticeable toll on Kartana’s longevity.

**Dragon-types**: Dragapult is one of Caribolt’s most common checks, capable of surviving even +2 Double-Edge and OHKOing Caribolt in return with Draco Meteor. Astrolotl easily switches in on Caribolt and can either deal significant damage with Fire Lash or burn it with Will-O-Wisp, while Choice Scarf Sets OHKO Caribolt with Flare Blitz.

**Revenge Killers**: Prior to using Rapid Spin, Caribolt’s average bulk and reliance on Double-Edge to deal damage leave it susceptible to being revenge killed by faster Pokemon such as Syclant, Stratagem, and Tornauds-Therian. Weavile deserves a special mention, as thanks to Ice Shard, Caribolt is unable to ensure its safety against it by using Rapid Spin. However, most of these Pokemon are unable to switch-in on Caribolt directly, as they take significant damage from Caribolt’s attacks.
