only the gods know how to use this form of our lord and savior goomy
[OVERVIEW]

  • Carves a niche for itself in good special bulk, being able to take almost all special attacks in the tier.
  • Passable physical bulk, especially after a Curse, means it can take some surprisingly powerful physical hits.
  • Main flaws stem from reliance on Eviolite, which leaves it susceptible to Knock Off users, as they reduce its bulk by removing its Eviolite.
  • Fairly slow as well.

[SET]
name: Mono Attacker
move 1: Curse
move 2: Outrage
move 3: Rest
move 4: Sleep Talk
item: Eviolite
ability: Sap Sipper
nature: Careful
evs: 252 HP / 184 Def / 72 SpD

[SET COMMENTS]
Moves
========
  • Curse boosts Attack and Defense, allowing it to be a late-game win condition.
  • Outrage will dent most Pokemon that don't resist or are immune to it, especially after a few Curses.
  • Rest is Sliggoo's only form of recovery, and it also cures status.
  • Sleep Talk allows Sliggoo to boost or attack while sleeping.
Set Details
========
  • Maximum HP gives Sliggoo as much bulk as possible.
  • Even though Sliggoo is already boosting its defense with Curse, 184 EVs in defense are necessary for surviving powerful hits such as a Choice Band-boosted Close Combat from Sawk before it starts boosting.
  • The rest of the EVs and a Careful nature allows it to take at least one special attack, even super-effective ones such as a Choice Specs-boosted Refrigerate Hyper Voice from Aurorus.
Usage Tips
========
  • Best used as a late-game sweeper.
  • Make sure all Fairy-type Pokemon, such as Mr. Mime and Mega Audino, and Steel-types, such as Steelix are removed before Sliggoo starts setting up.
  • Switch it in on a resisted move such as Samurott's Hydro Pump so it will have enough health left to set up.

Team Options
========
  • Pokemon who can check or counter Fairy-types, such as Mr. Mime and Mega Audino and Steel-types, such as Steelix are mandatory, as they are immune to or resist Sliggoo's only attacking move.
  • Some Pokemon who can check or counter Steelix, Mr. Mime, and Mega Audino include Magmortar, who can also switch into incoming Ice or Fairy-type moves, while Sliggoo can take incoming Water-type moves aimed at Magmortar. As a bonus, Magmortar can weaken the opponent's team enough for Sliggoo to set up.

[SET]
name: All-Out-Attacker
move 1: Draco Meteor / Dragon Pulse
move 2: Sludge Bomb
move 3: Muddy Water
move 4: Thunderbolt
item: Eviolite
ability: Sap Sipper
nature: Modest
evs: 252 HP / 252 SpA / 4 SpD
[SET COMMENTS]
Moves
========
  • Draco Meteor is the main STAB move on this set, denting most Pokemon that don't resist it.
  • Dragon Pulse is usable over Draco Meteor. It is weaker but you won't have to switch out after using it.
  • Sludge Wave is Sliggoo's main option of hurting Fairy-types, dealing some damage to them.
  • Muddy Water is Sliggoo's best option against Steelix, as well as 2HKOing Archeops.
  • Thunderbolt hits Flying-types such as Vivillon, Swellow, and Scyther, as well as Water-types such as Samurott.
Set Details
========
  • Maximum Special Attack gives as much power as possible, while maximum HP gives it a sizable amount of bulk.
  • Modest nature is used for more power. Timid is not recommended, as this sacrifices its workable Special attack and you don't outspeed anything notable.
  • Eviolite is the preferred item because Sliggoo still has good bulk.
Usage Tips
========
  • It's best to use this Sliggoo as a early-to-mid game wallbreaker, weakening walls such as Rhydon and Steelix.
  • Use a slow U-turn or Volt
  • Also a good late-game cleaner as well once its checks and counters are weakened or removed.
Team Options
========
  • Entry hazard setters can help Sliggoo gain KOs on walls such as Steelix. Garbodor can set up Spikes and switch into Fairy-type Pokemon. Meanwhile, Sliggoo can switch into Psychic-type moves. Cacturne can be used if you'd rather have a Spikes setter who can wallbreak as well.
  • Steelix can set up Stealth Rock and takes Fairy- and Dragon-type moves well, while Sliggoo can switch into Water-, Grass-, and Fire-type moves for Steelix.

Other Options
=============
  • Physical moves are viable on Sliggoo, and it has the Attack stat to make it work. However, its physical movepool is lacking.
  • An offensive spread of 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe with a Timid nature can be used, and it outruns Pokemon such as neutral-natured Samurott and fully invested base 55 Speed Pokemon such as Cacturne; however, this sacrifices Sliggoo's bulk and it is still fairly slow, failing to outspeed Hitmonchan.
  • Similarly, a Life Orb can be used for more power, but again, it sacrifices too much of Sliggoo's bulk with Life Orb recoil.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Fairy-types**: Fairy-types, such as Mr. Mime and Mega Audino, are immune to Draco Meteor and completely wall the Curse set due to being immune to Outrage and can wear down Sliggoo with Dazzling Gleam. Mega Audino can even set up with Calm Mind.

**Ice-types**: Ice-type Pokemon such as Aurorus and Jynx can switch in and heavily damage it with Ice Beam. However, they can be defeated if they are weakened enough.

**Steelix**: Steelix can switch in, take a hit, and cripple Sliggoo with Toxic or set up Stealth Rock, making it easier to deal with for the rest of the team.

i know this is a wip but make the spread for the curse set 252 hp / 184 defense / 72 special defense with a careful nature (explained here)

Odd HP =/= taking less from Stealth Rock. Make the spread 252 / 184 / 72 Careful. Please remove the bold throughout the analysis and add a All-Out Attacker set.

This is getting reassigned.

You make no mention of Sap Sipper in the overview moreover there's absolutely no mentions of Sceptile anywhere on the analysis, which is primarily the reason why Sliggoo is chosen for a team in the first place. The overview in general is sparse and doesn't tell the reader a whole lot in regards to Sliggoo's role in NU. Your usage tips for both sets are also vague and don't tell the reader how to really use the 'Mon. The Curse set doesn't even state when it's appropriate to either use Curse or Rest and the Offensive set says to "Use a slow U-turn or Volt" which tells nothing.

There's also some things that make me think you've barely used Sliggoo, if at all, such as stating Sliggoo can be used as a late-game sweeper rather than saying that it's a Pokemon that can pivot into a myriad of special attackers (which you also fail to mention which ones in your overview). Other things such as Steelix being mentioned in checks and counters is also questionable when Curse eventually beats it 1v1 and Offensive 2HKOes with Muddy Water. The rest of the sections within checks and counters also don't go into detail enough and are poorly worded.

Before reserving any more analyses, I'd recommend familiarizing yourself with the metagame better and look at other people's analyses as a means to improve in the future.
