Pokémon Slate 2: Attack
The strategy-based approach
The talent-based approach
Primary Stat: Attack
Extra Restrictions before Pokémon phase:
- This Pokémon must have a set that uses a priority, pivoting (U-Turn and clones), or utility (Knock, Spin etc) Physical move
OR
- This Pokémon must have at least one of Bug or Dark Type
- This Pokémon must have higher Physical than Special attack
Extra Restrictions after Pokémon phase:
- This Pokémon's highest stat must be Attack
- This Pokémon must want to run Physical priority, utility, or pivoting moves (not neccessariy all 3 in one set)
Description/Justification:
funny little guys that do silly things but also do damage at the same time.
I’m all the way back here, I’m not approaching
Primary Stat: Attack (A)
Extra Restrictions before Pokémon phase:
- This Pokémon must originally be Dark, Fighting, or Psychic type
OR
- This Pokémon must originally have a Specialist Ability (ie. an ability that unconditionally boosts the damage of a certain category of attack) as one of its abilities
Extra Restrictions after Pokémon phase:
- This Pokémon must want to run a Specialist Ability or a custom clone of a Specialist ability
- This Pokémon must have a signature attack whose damage gets boosted by their Specialist ability (For mons with signature attacks that fit the bill, simply retaining this signature attack will qualify. For mons without qualifying signature attacks, adding a custom move will be necessary)
Description/Justification: Adepts are considered masters of the combat arts, specializing in a specific style of fighting. Cultivated through aptitude, resolve, genius, and/or pure talent, members of this class have worked tirelessly to hone their craft. Such efforts culminate into their magnum opus: a signature technique known only to themselves.
You can submit up to 2 Pokémon for each listed class, as well as 1 Pokemon in the Brawler class, a class that has no restrictions except that the Pokémon you’re modifying must already have Attack as its highest stat. Submissions will close after a warning, good luck!Pointy sticks from far away, a superior military strategy for centuries
Primary Stat: Attack (A)
Extra Restrictions before Pokémon phase:
- This Pokémon must know a non-contact physical move (Link to those moves here)
Extra Restrictions after Pokémon phase:
- This Pokémon can’t know any contact-based physical moves, unless you make Long Reach its only ability
Description/Justification: Before anyone gets up in arms about this, you could basically drop Mamoswine here unchanged and it would still be legal. There’s a wide range of non contact moves, use them to make unique sets, and if there’s something you feel is missing, nothing’s stopping you from making a custom non-contact move (just please make it balanced, I will be checking)
