Okay, so here's the thing. I don't have Firered or Ruby, I did have both games but lost them a LONG time ago (over two and three years ago respectively). So when I try to seek an Elekid or Electabuzz in the GTS, they aren't on the list. I do have some friends with those two games, but is there anything else I can do besides wait to trade with them?

You have to see them to be able to get them on GTS.
If you can't find one, I could just trade you a cruddy Electivire, so you can breed for Elekids and such. I don't know the IVs, and it's nature is ass, but it's a start.
