[SET]
name: Dragon Dance Sweeper
move 1: Dragon Dance
move 2: High Jump Kick / Drain Punch
move 3: Crunch
move 4: Iron Head / Zen Headbutt
item: Eviolite
ability: Shed Skin / Moxie
nature: Adamant / Jolly
evs: 116 HP / 76 Atk / 36 Def / 36 SpD / 212 Spe
[SET COMMENTS]
This set seeks to allow Scraggy to function as a late-game sweeper after all of its checks are sufficiently weakened and/or removed. One Dragon Dance allows Scraggy to outspeed the entire unboosted metagame and put significant pressure on offensive teams. And Scraggy's strong natural bulk allows it to obtain setup opportunities on a variety of Pokemon including the likes of Ferroseed and Pawniard. Use High Jump Kick on anything that doesn't resist it for maximum wallbreaking ability and save your coverage option strictly for fighting resists such as Spritzee or Mareanie that aren't hit super effectively by Scraggy's Dark STAB. If running Moxie, be wary of harmful status conditions such as Paralysis and Burns, as they can completely derail a Scraggy sweep.
Scraggy has some ability to pick and choose which Pokemon can check/counter it thanks to its very solid coverage options in Iron Head and Zen Headbutt. However, it does take some chipping for Scraggy to be able to bust through Pokemon such as Spritzee. As a result, Scraggy greatly appreciates teammates such as Pawniard or Mareanie who can effectively deal with Spritzee. Scraggy also appreciates Knock Off support from the likes of Pokemon such as Ferroseed and Vullaby in order to make it easier to muscle through bulkier checks. Ferroseed, in particular, can also provide excellent hazard support for the team, further aiding in the chipping down of Scraggy's checks. Mareanie is another Pokemon that Scraggy struggles to deal with even when running the appropriate coverage move, so teammates that can effectively deal with that such as Diglett are excellent partners for Scraggy. Lastly, Scraggy appreciates the likes of Cutiefly or Spritzee for their ability to help deal with opposing Fighting-Types such as Timburr or Galarian Farfetch'd.
