Random OU Team

Overview: This is random team that at first I couldn't even get one win with. I have changed it and now it works well in most situations. Any feedback would help.

Uxie @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP / 64 Def / 192 SDef
Bold Nature
- Trick
- Psychic
- Memento
- Thunderwave
Uxie is my usually lead is this team. Usually I start with Uxie and start off with Trick to stop the opponents leads. Then I use Thunderwave to stop the speed effect of Choice Scarf. Memento is there for late game to help with sweeping with other pokemon. Psychic is there to kill the opponents lead if they haven't already swapped out. The only time I don't use Uxie has my lead is when I can see that the opponent has many walls so I can stop them with Trick later.

Dragonite @ Life Orb
Ability: Inner Focus
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spd
Adamant Nature
- Fire Punch
- Dragon Rush
- Aqua Tail
- ExtremeSpeed
Dragonite is my main coverage pokemon. It can stop Scizor and other steel types that can destroy my team. Dragon Rush kills almost all dragon pokemon and can take out most other pokemon with one or two hits. Aqua Tail is there for ground and rock type pokemon and ExtremeSpeed is for finishing off pokemon quickly.

Jolteon (M) @ Life Orb
Ability: Volt Absorb
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature
- Thunderbolt
- Volt Switch
- Signal Beam
- Hidden Power [Ice]
Jolteon is my special sweeper. Thunderbolt is Jolteons' main attack dealing serious damage to most pokemon and Volt Switch is to get out of a battle. Signal Beam gets rid of pesky dark and grass pokemon. Hidden Power [Ice] covers it and stops dragon types.

upload_2013-10-11_17-13-7.png

Starmie @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 252 SAtk / 4 SDef / 252 Spd
Modest Nature
- Ice Beam
- Thunderbolt
- Psychic
- Hidden Power [Fighting]
Starmie is my revenge sweeper. With already high speed, full EVs in speed and a Choice Scarf, Starmie out speeds almost all pokemon. Ice Beam stops dragon and flying types, Thunderbolt stops water and flying types. Psychic becomes very powerful with stab and Hidden Power [Fighting] stops dark types.

Venusaur (F) @ Leftovers
Ability: Overgrow
EVs: 252 HP / 244 SAtk / 12 Spd
Calm Nature
- Leech Seed
- Substitute
- Sleep Powder
- Hidden Power [Fire]
Venusaur is a SubSeeder and is my secondary lead. Sleep Powder stops the other pokemon so I can use Substitute and Leech Seed. Hidden Power [Fire] stops pokemon that Leech Seed doesn't effect like Celebi, Breloom (if it doesn't use Spore) and other grass types.

Metagross @ Life Orb
Ability: Clear Body
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spd
Jolly Nature
- Agility
- Earthquake
- Meteor Mash
- Zen Headbutt
Metagross is my physical sweeper. With one Agility Metagross outspeeds most pokemon. Earthquake KOs most rock types. Meteor Mash is incredable strong with stab and can sweep through almost anything. Zen Headbutt is also very strong with stab.

I'll be quite frank, your team would be much, much better if you had a good core.
Let's start.
Some of your abilities and moves given are simply not viable. Venusaur has overgrow when he has no offensive grass moves. Dragonite has a horrible dragon move in the form of D-rush. Those are simply not logical on a competitive team.
I recommend you keep your venusaur's moves, but get rid of overgrow. Please.

Venusaur @ Leftovers
Trait: Chlorophyll
EVs: 252 HP/200 SDef/56 SpA
Calm Nature
- Leech Seed
- Substitute
- Sleep Powder
- HP fire

If you ask me, looking at your team, your dragonite would be best as a DD lum berry sweeper

Dragonite @ Lum Berry
Trait: Multiscale
EVs: 252 Atk/4 Def/252 Spd
Adamant Nature
- Dragon Dance
- Dragon Claw
- Fire Punch
- Earthquake

Starmie should NOT be a revenge killer; that's what jolteon's there for. I would recommend a rapid spinner.

Starmie @ Leftovers
Trait: Natural Cure
EVs: 248 HP/252 Spd/8 SpA
Timid Nature

- Scald
- Psyshock
- Rapid Spin
- Recover

Try it out and tell me how it goes, okay? Happy battling!

Also, try out a bulky banded metagross.

Metagross @ Choice Band
Trait: Clear Body
EVs: 252 HP/252 Atk/4 Def
Adamant Nature
- Bullet Punch
- Hammer Arm

- Meteor Mash
- Pursuit

Its an extremely good trapper, and can even 2HKO defensive ferrothorn with hammer arm

My bad, I seem to be quite forgetful today :P
Your team is lacking a supporter. Thus it is veeeeeeeerry vulnerable to status. If you plan on keeping uxie (I recommend giving it up for a better wall), use this supportive set to make sure your team is in the pink. Leave the scarfing to Azelf

Uxie @ Leftovers
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP/248 Def/8 SpD
Bold Nature
- Heal Bell
- U-Turn

- Psychic
- Stealth Rock

So your usual strategy would be to lead with uxie, try set up rocks, U-turn to keep momentum, and pressure the opponent by sending in a good counter. Hope this helps.

This is my team after some changes:

Swapped Uxie for Jirachi - Not sure whether to swap it to Celebi
Jirachi @ Leftovers
Ability: Serene Grace
EVs: 252 HP / 248 Def / 8 SDef
Bold Nature
- Wish
- U-Turn
- Psychic
- Stealth Rock
Is now my lead. Uses stealth rock and can then attack with psychic or swap to another pokemon. Use wish then U-Turn to heal team members.
or
Celebi @ Leftovers
Ability: Serene Grace
EVs: 252 HP / 248 Def / 8 SDef
Bold Nature
- Heal Bell
- U-Turn
- Psychic
- Stealth Rock
The same concept but replace Wish with Heal Bell to restore status problems

Dragonite @ Lum Berry
Ability: Multiscale
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spd
Adamant Nature
- Dragon Dance
- Dragon Claw
- Fire Punch
- Earthquake
Just as Sparrowkatana suggested - works a lot better in battle

Jolteon (M) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Volt Absorb
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature
- Thunderbolt
- Volt Switch
- Signal Beam
- Hidden Power [Ice]
Is now my revenge sweeper - replaced Life Orb for Choice Scarf so I can almost always go first to quickly sweep.

Starmie @ Leftovers
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 248 HP / 8 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature
- Scald
- Psyshock
- Rapid Spin
- Recover
Is now a rapid spinner instead of a revenge killer. I can get rid of spikes, stealth rock etc and can often kill at least one pokemon

Venusaur (F) @ Leftovers
Ability: Chlorophyll
EVs: 252 HP / 56 SAtk / 200 SDef
Calm Nature
- Leech Seed
- Substitute
- Sleep Powder
- Hidden Power [Fire]
Just swapped Overgrown with Chlorophyll and some stats

Metagross @ Life Orb
Ability: Clear Body
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 Def
Adamant Nature
- Bullet Punch
- Hammer Arm
- Meteor Mash
- Pursuit
Tried the set that Sparrowkatana suggested but I didn't work for me. So I replaced Choice Band with Life Orb and I can now sweeper a lot more easily and can still be a revenge sweeper if I need.

Any more suggestens would be great.

AWailOfATail

viva la darmz
Choice Scarf on Jolteon? Just...no. I understand that you want to outspeed, but that SpA isn't gonna OHKO anything and Jolteon doesn't have any bulk. I'd probably say Focus Sash.
(If you're really having trouble with scarfers, grab a Flame Orb and Quick Feet. Not that it's a good idea, but now you have a choice of attack.)

I'll add more when I get a chance.
