SM OU Rain Team(Peak 1700+/1900+)

Hi,

To be honest this is not a Rate My Team. It is a rain team I got from https://www.bilibili.com/video/av48739813. After some testing I landed at 1700+. I feel like this is a pretty good team and I want to share it with you to see if there is any possible improvement. The original user got to 1900+ with this team though.

Pelipper @ Damp Rock
Ability: Drizzle
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 SpD
Bold Nature
- Scald
- U-turn
- Roost
- Defog
Weather setter. Max Def to take shots from common lead like Lando or Garchomp and UT to help the backup mon gets in without damage. Roost for longevity and Scald for a basic STAB. I put Defog here since Tornadus already has enough moves.
I feel like Hurricane is more reliable to check and kill Kartana but I do not want to put too many responsibilities on Pelipper. Anyway I almost never attacks with Pelipper.

Volcanion @ Choice Specs
Ability: Water Absorb
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk / 30 SpA
- Steam Eruption
- Overheat
- Earth Power
- Hidden Power Grass
Wallbreaker. Choice Specs Steam Eruption in rain deals great damage to almost everything. Overheat to 0HKO Ferro under rain. Earth Power for opposing Volcanion and Toxapex. HP Grass for Gastrodon,
This thing is amazing. Once you knock off the evolite from Chansey it destroys the entire stall team. I always use Steam Eruption when facing Ferro the first time and Overheat the second time.

Swampert-Mega @ Swampertite
Ability: Damp
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
IVs: 0 SpA
- Stealth Rock
- Earthquake
- Ice Punch
- Waterfall
Physical Sweeper. I choose a pretty standard move set. EQ and Waterfall are stabs. Stealth Rock since Swampert threatens switches easily. Ice Punch for Grass Types. I do not much explanation for this standard moveset. Just remember a neutral Waterfall in Rain is actually more powerful than a super effective Ice Punch.

Magearna @ Aguav Berry
Ability: Soul-Heart
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Heart Swap
- Fleur Cannon
- Volt Switch
- Ice Beam
Physical Wall. Takes hit from Garchomp or Lando and KO with Ice Beam. Volt Switch for momentum and Fleur Cannon for a powerful STAB to 0HKO most Fighting types. Actually Fleur Cannon somehow works well with Heart Swap. Heart Swap for certain mons like Volcarona(in rain), Calm Mind opposing Mage and Reuniclus.
It is almost an auto-win when you see a Reuniclus on the opposing team, especially when it has Calm Mind and Acid Armor.

Tornadus-Therian @ Flyinium Z
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- U-turn
- Hurricane
- Taunt
- Knock Off
Pivot. Checks Grass types for Kingdra and Swampert. UT for momentum, Hurricane and Flynium Z for killing Grass Types. Taunt is useful for some obvious situations like facing Rotom or Zapdos when there are rocks on the ground. Knock off works well since it attracts defensive things like Leftover Rotom and Zapdos, or AV Magearna,

Kingdra @ Choice Specs
Ability: Swift Swim
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Surf
- Hydro Pump
- Draco Meteor
- Ice Beam
Special Sweeper. Surf is enough for most unresisted attacks. Use Hydro Pump when you want to try your luck. Draco Meteor for predicting switching-in resisting water. Ice Beam for those Dragons.
Use it carefully because Specs locks your moves and his mediocre bulk makes it difficult to come in very often.

Threat List:
Garados:

Both Swampert and Kingdra can not deal with it. Can easily get one Dragon Dance up. Healthy Magearna can take +1 EQ and deal a lot damage with Fleur Cannon or Volt Switch(KO if rock is up). If rain is up, revenge kill with Kingdra. If not, hope Tornadus-T can take a hit from it.

+1 252 Atk Gyarados-Mega Earthquake vs. 252 HP / 252 Def Magearna: 268-316 (73.6 - 86.8%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
0 SpA Magearna Fleur Cannon vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Gyarados-Mega: 278-330 (83.9 - 99.6%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

+1 252 Atk Gyarados Earthquake vs. 252 HP / 252 Def Magearna: 228-270 (62.6 - 74.1%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
0 SpA Magearna Volt Switch vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Gyarados: 252-300 (76.1 - 90.6%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

+1 252 Atk Gyarados-Mega Crunch vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Tornadus-Therian: 270-318 (74.5 - 87.8%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

Tapu Koko:

0HKO Pelipper, Tornadus and Volcaion. Magerna can not do much since it's physically defensive and lacks power. Kingdra struggles outside rain. Keep your Swampert healthy seems the only way. I HATE GRASS KNOT :(

Chansey:

Try to knock off its evolite or hope for a flinch :(

252+ Atk Swampert-Mega Waterfall vs. 248 HP / 252+ Def Eviolite Chansey in Rain: 318-375 (45.2 - 53.3%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock
252+ SpA Choice Specs Volcanion Steam Eruption vs. 248 HP / 8 SpD Eviolite Chansey in Rain: 282-333 (40.1 - 47.3%) -- 46.9% chance to 2HKO after Stealth Rock
