Mowtom

Qwilfish [Quants] (F)

Tier: ★★★★★

Type: Water / Poison

Abilities: Poison Point / Swift Swim / Intimidate (Unlocked)
  • By default, this Pokemon's spikes/quills/thorns are coated in poison, and there is a 30% chance of poisoning any foe that uses a contact attack on this Pokemon. When toggled, this Pokemon's natural toxins are more potent. As a result, all of this Pokemon's attacks that inflict regular poison will inflict Toxic poison instead (with the same chance of effect). If Poison Point is toggled and Poison Touch is on its default effect, the Pokemon's contact attacks will inflict Toxic Poison.
  • The Pokemon with this ability moves extremely fast in slick, rainy conditions, doubling (x2) its Speed in the rain.
  • When this Pokemon initially goes out into the battlefield, it generates an intimidating roar or war cry that shakes all opponents on the battlefield, reducing their Attack stage (and adjusting the natural stage) by one (1). If an opponent switches in a new Pokemon, Intimidate can be activated again as a Command, and will affect all opponents.

Wewcome won wan wall —
No stop I said no Ws!
*bang crash babading!*
Ok people sorry about that but a random W got into the arena. Yeah don’t ask me what a W is nor what it’s doing here. Was a bit late because I thought that Mowtom’s Qwilfish was not in the Battle Tower already. Yeah I’m a bad ref. But I need experience! Wha do you mean I shouldn’t ref at all?
Anyway on one side we have Sivanandi who brought along a Sigilyph, you know, those ancient guardians of the tombs? Just nice it’s good against Mowtom’s Qwilfish! And on the other side... yeah I just said it. The Qwilfish
is 5* though, will that make a difference? Actually that doesn’t really seem like it would. Most importantly would be the battlers skills, which I can’t really judge. I’m rather new. Okay okay I’ll stop talking about myself.
Anyway I’ve overexceeded the time limit by a trillion millennia or so, let’s get my calculator out...

1-5000: Sivanandi
5001-10000: Mowtom
Ranint#(1, 10000)
3043: Sivanandi!

Order of operations:
Sivanandi sends out (skippable) and equips (not skippable)
Mowtom sends out (skippable), equips and orders (both not skippable)
Sivanandi orders (not skippable)
I stop being a jackass

Let the battle... begin!

"Remind me why I agreed to this again?"
"Because I wanted to test out the power of Z-moves. Now take a Waterium Z and get out there!"
"Fine."
Liquidation~Surf~Hydro Pump
IF
damaging Psychic-type combo AND NOT you used Protect last action THEN Protect and push back
IF DE move AND NOT suspended AND NOT in a combo THEN Dive and push back
IF NOT Bramimond is under P/E AND NOT Bramimond has a substitute up AND NOT you have already used Hydro Vortex this round THEN Hydro Vortex (Hydro Pump)

Round 1:

Sivanandi
:sm/Sigilyph: #Flame Orb
Wonder Skin, Magic Guard, Tinted Lens
HP: 80/80 EN: 100%
3/4/5/4/97
Status: OK!

Mowtom

:sm/Qwilfish: #Waterium Z
Poison Point, Swift Swim, Intimidate
HP: 80/80 EN: 100%
4/4/3/4/73
Status: -10% evasion
Reminder to check my calcs
Pre-action:
Quant’s Intimidate!
Bramimond’s Attack fell!

Action 1:
Quants used Protect! -7EN, 93 left.
But it failed!

Bramimond used I FORESAW AN ATTACK! -32 EN, 68 left.
Bramimond foresaw an Attack!

Bramimond was burned!

Action 2:
Bramimond has to cooldown!

Quants used HYDRO VORTEX! -8EN, 85 left.
22/24 > 1/24, does not crit.
19 + 3 + 2 - 1 = 23

Action 3:
Bramimond used Psychic! -6EN, 62 left.
20/24 > 1/24, does not crit.
5/10 > 1/10, does not lower Special Defense.
(9 + 1 + 3) * 1.5 = 19

Quants used Surf! -6EN, 79 left.
8/24 > 1/24, does not crit.
9 + 3 - 1 + 2 = 13
Sivanandi
:sm/Sigilyph: #Flame Orb
Wonder Skin, Magic Guard, Tinted Lens
HP: 44/80 EN: 62%
3/4/5/4/97
Status: -1 Attack, Burned

Mowtom
:sm/Qwilfish: #Waterium Z
Poison Point, Swift Swim, Intimidate
HP: 61/80 EN: 79%
4/4/3/4/73
Status: -10% evasion, ULTIMATE FUTURE SIGHT incoming
Quants foresees that Bramimond is going to use a Psychic-type combo, and protects herself, only for Bramimond to reveal it had foreseen that and also foresees another attack! Irritated and confused by this statement, Quants summons the pure essence of the ocean, creating a powerful and devastating whirlpool! Unrelenting, she then picks up her surfboard. Having been hit by her once already, Bramimond retaliates with a blast of power. At the end, Bramimond is definitely worse off, and we’re treated to a beautiful display of Aurora Borealis! Wait... is it just me, or does it look a bit closer than it was just now?

Order of operations:
Sivanandi orders
Mowtom orders (and tries to avoid the massive attack incoming, if possible)
I ref!

I don't think so, unless you count adding the Intimidate attack drop to the end-of-round summary

:ss/sigilyph:
Ow. Remind me why I agreed to this again?

Psychic | Psybeam | Psychic
IF Quants is to use Substitute THEN Imprison (Substitute, Protect, Rest)
IF Quants is to use a self-KO move THEN Fly (Suspend) | Fly (Attack)
IF Quants is to use a damaging dark-type combination THEN Protect

"My favorite part is that I actually have a 1/24 chance to tie."
Hex+Hex~Hex+Hex~Hex+Hex

No mistakes no mistakes no mistakes!!!
Round 1:

:sm/Sigilyph: #Flame Orb
Wonder Skin, Magic Guard, Tinted Lens
HP: 44/80 EN: 62%
3/4/5/4/97
Status: -1 Attack, Burned

:sm/Qwilfish: #Waterium Z
Poison Point, Swift Swim, Intimidate
HP: 61/80 EN: 79%
4/4/3/4/73
Status: -10% evasion, Fiture Sight incoming (deliberately spelled incorrectly because autocorrect ain’t working ;-;)

Reminder to check my calcs
Action 1:
Bramimond used Psychic! -9EN, 53 left.
4/24 > 1/24, does not crit.
2/10 > 1/10, does not lower Special Defense
(9 + 1 + 3) * 1.5 = 19

Qwilfish used THIS FISH CAN STILL DO EVIL SPELLCASTING! -35 EN, 44 left.
23/24 > 1/24, does not crit.
(29.25 - 1) * 1.5 = 43 (!!!!)

Bramimond fainted!

Quants took the Attack!
(27 + 3 + 1) * 1.5 = 47

Quants fainted!

:sm/Sigilyph: #Flame Orb
Wonder Skin, Magic Guard, Tinted Lens
HP: 1/80 EN: 53%
3/4/5/4/97
Status: -1 Attack, Burned

:sm/Qwilfish: #Waterium Z
Poison Point, Swift Swim, Intimidate
HP: -5/80 EN: 44%
4/4/3/4/73
Status: -10% evasion

And the critical hit ratios were just right as Bramimond, shoots a brilliant Beam of pink light at Quants, while Quants summons all her inner demons, a sinister and horrific eye staring at Bramimond! Frightened and horrified by this display of dark magic, Bramimond faints! However, the final blow of this battle only arrives as the aurora borealis vaporizes the eye and surrounds the pufferfish. At the end of the battle, both Pokemon lie on the field motionless. ITS A TIE! Actually wait so apparently combos can’t round so SIVANANDI WINS!

Thanks for playing!
Rewards coming in another post ;)
