The notion of Block from team preview often caused players to play far more offensively, opting for pivots in front of Pyukumuku to avoid the risk of being trapped in and then being Toxic or PP stalled. Pyukumuku is now far more passive than it has ever been when Pokemon can easily avoid it through switching out.
