Protect + Water Absorb Glitch?

I'm not sure if this is a glitch per say but I'm pretty sure it should not happen. I'm sorry that I don't have a log but I can produce one by doing a test battle if needed.

I was playing Husk I believe in the Smogon Frontier.

She used Protect with Vaporeon in order to heal from Wish and I, in case she switched, used Surf with Starmie to save PP.

However, She got healed by first Water Absorb and Wish.

Surely Protect should have stopped her from getting healed by Surf?

I'm fairly certain this is what happens in the game. But even if it's not, bugs are not being fixed for shoddybattle 1. You'll just have to wait for sb 2.

Yea I know that, I just wanted to point it out anyway just in case. It didn't affect my game anyway, all that happened was she recovered 2% extra.
