Welcome to the first Protean Palace tournament of Scarlet and Violet! This tournament serves to give the metagame some much needed development after the release of The Indigo Disk and the recent change in the metagame's mechanics, and also as a way to just have fun. An explanation of how the metagame works for those unfamiliar can be found below.
Tournament Rules

Every Pokemon has pre-gen 9 Protean on top of their current ability. That means that each Pokemon changes its type to the type of the move its about to use whenever it uses a move, instead of only changing type once per switch-in.

Tournament Rules
- All games will be single elimination, best-of-3. All rounds will last for one week.
- General tournament rules and regulations can be found here.
- The banlist for this tournament can be found here.
- If metagame changes occur during the middle of a round, they will take effect in the subsequent round.
- Battles must be played on the Pokemon Showdown! main server or SmogTours server.
- Replays must be posted alongside the result; you may be disqualified if you fail to post replays.
- Do not make baseless activity posts; get in contact with your opponent and report missed times / scheduling issues only.
