Gravlord
by anaconja
:sv/guzzlord:
Original Pokémon: Guzzlord
New Pokémon: Gravlord
Types:

Stats: 137 / 139 / 89 / 97 / 71 / 37 | 570
Abilities: Gravitational Pull (This Pokemon sets Gravity on switchin.)
Move Changes:
+ Flapple's Grass-type movepool, Ting-Lu's Ground-type movepool
+ Power Whip
- all Dark-type moves besides Knock Off, all Dragon-type moves, all Poison-type moves
Flavor: not sure
Competitive Description: fat grass but more of a tank this time. lacks reliable recovery but has very good power with grav apple and eq especially under gravity
Mespring by yours truly
:sv/mesprit:
Original Pokemon: Mesprit
New Pokemon: Mespring
Type: Grass/Poison
Abilites: Grassy Surge
Stats: 95 / 120 / 135 / 75 / 80 / 75
Weight: 30 kg
Movepool Changes:
+ Drum Beating, Giga Drain, Grassy Glide, Ingrain, Jungle Healing, Leech Seed, Power Whip, Poison Jab, Gunk Shot, Seed Bomb, Stone Edge, Synthesis, Vine Whip, Swords Dance, Toxic
- Psychic moves except Psychic, Blizzard, Charge Beam, Confuse Ray, Ice Beam, Shadow Ball, Thunder, Thunderbolt, Thunder Wave, Water Pulse
Competitive Role: Grassy Terrain time. With all the Grounds we're getting, Mespring can ease up the attacks while also being a revenge killer. It has Drain Punch to deal with Steel and Ice types too.
Flavour: It is actually a stone statue of Mesprit, seeming to be inhabited by a Pokemon that endlessly extends its flower covered vines out to move and attack.
Cragmortar by RedwoodRogue
:sv/magmortar:
Type: Rock / Dragon
Abilities
: Rough Skin, Fortitude
Fortitude: Special Guts lol
Stats: 95 HP / 45 Atk / 112 Def / 125 SpA / 80 SpD / 83 Spe (540 BST)
Weight: 140 kg
Movepool Changes
:
+ Power Gem, Meteor Beam, Ancient Power, Stealth Rock, Sandstorm, Draco Meteor, Dragon Breath, Dragon Pulse, Dragon Tail, Earth Power
- N/A (I’m lazy)
Height: 5’6
Flavor / Explanation: Had to be rock before it was magma, baby (Cragby —> Cragmar —> Cragmortar)
Competitive Role: Pretty straightforward special wallbreaker with a solid and unique defensive type (we could use more rock mons lol). Run EP or FB for coverage, or use this as a bulky Stealth Rock mon.
Boodra by Loginator
:sv/Goodra:
Original Pokémon: Goodra
New Pokémon: Boodra
Type:
1692575007552.png
1692575024272.png

Abilities:
Immunity / Insomnia / Gooey (HA)
Stats: 90 / 120 / 60 / 90 / 160 / 80 | 600
Weight: 104 kg
Movepool Changes:
+ Phantom Force, Spirit Shackle, Shadow Claw, Shadow Sneak, Knock Off, Throat Chop, Sucker Punch, Pursuit, Shadow Ball, Hex, Dark Pulse, Mystical Fire, Psychic, Curse, Destiny Bound, Nasty Plot, Calm Mind, Trick, Will-O-Wisp
- All Dragon and Water-type moves, Earthquake, Power Whip
Flavor: Goodra but made out of white ghost ectoplasm and goo! Its whole body is a lot more transparent and also has a more scary and less goofy face. Its hair is replaced with black flares.
Competitive Role: Huge special wall and tank with its massive SpD stat. Its defensive typing only gives it a single weakness to Fairy, while also having three important immunities. Having strong STAB moves in Spirit Shackle and Knock Off also helps. However, it lacks any sort of recovery and is more easily killed by physical attackers due to its awful Defense stat. Its typing also has poor synergy offensively.
Faeraora by Totally_Odette
:sv/zeraora:
Original Pokemon: Zeraora
New Pokemon: Faeraora
Type: Fairy / Fighting
Abilities: Justified / Magician (Trace)
Stats: 80 / 110 / 80 / 110 / 80 / 140 (600)
Weight: Same as Zeraora
Movepool Changes: +Moonblast, Moonlight, Draining Kiss, Misty Explosion, Nature's Madness, U-Turn
-All Electric moves
Role: It's Zeraora 2. Serves as a fast offensive pivot, with either Trace to take abilities or Justified to take Knocks Off. Zeraora already has a really solid Fighting movepool, even though it's not Fighting type, so all it needed was the Fairy type additions.
Flavor: fairy zeraora
And that concludes the end of the slate and the mod! It's been a long journey since we first started, and the mod couldn't have gone this far without everyone who's been with us all the way. On behalf of the council, we thank you all for making this possible!

Of course, even with the end of slates, there's still lots to do in terms of balancing the metagame. We'll try to hold some roomtours once the whole meta is completed, as well as put out any balance changes if needed. We'll also make resources such as set compendiums and an official VR. If you wanna get involved in that, check out our discord !

And, if there's any interest, we might make bonus slatesala FE or MFA, or new metas ala Alt-Ex. This won't be in a while though, but hey, who knows!

With that all out of the way, once again, thank you everyone!

With the DLC drops and the mod still in coding progress, here's a quick post on what moves have been added to some mons (not all of them have sprites so aha deal with it)
disclaimer some vanilla mons have had moves removed, but if they're nkt significant enough for us to remove them then we won't put the extra work.

There's some notable additions, but we'll have to see how it plays out in the future. Additionally, we will be adding Sinistcha to whoever saw me use the wrong name, nuh uh to the roster. We'll see how it does in the metagame first before deciding if we should adjust or not.

And that's it! Look forward to the fully coded mod ^^ We'll hold playtests and stuff after it's been fully updated.

We Are Live!
Big thanks to our coder tkmof for all of their hardwork! All slates are now live from start to finish, which means this mod is now fully playable! The server is on http://petmodsdh.com/

Unfortunately we will not jump straight into tournaments just yet. We're gonna test out every new mon and see if there are any bugs here and there, which you (yes you!) can also partake in our Discord, along with discussion for the new meta. It'll be a while, but hey. Better late than never :]

Unfortunately the roomtour couldn't be done due to the lack of people, but me and earl did do two games. Big thanks to them for taking their time playing!

https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/dragonheaven-gen9poketypos-614

A few things to note for the new mons:

:zeraora:
Faeroara really showed its ability to put pressure on opposing teams, thanks to its blazing 140 speed. It's our fastest mon in the tier and can go for either physical or special attacks. As of right now though, I don't think it's broken since it struggles to break through mons such as Deoxin, Fetagross, Aurodactyl, and Sapras. It's just a super good pivot and attacker.

:mesprit: :goodra:
Mespring's huge defense and Boodra's huge special defense makes them quite the solid core I think. I'd love to see more of these two in action, though they can definitely switch up with mons such as Sapras or Iron Threads.

:magmortar: :guzzlord:
I definitely didn't do these two justice. Hopefully with more testing we can see these two truly shine. I believe they do have great potential if done right.

A few other things:

:deoxys: :serperior: :durant: :pyroar:
Still solid choices for the meta. Soaperior remains as a top attacker and i doubt it'll ever drop from that position, as well as Mirroar being an overall great wall. Deoxin does its usual Deoxin stuff of Knock Off and U-Turn. Furant put a lot of pressure on me, though it still has its struggles with physical walls and Fairies.

:rabsca:
It's funny that i got a sweep with Nabscar instead of Rotox (which was honestly my bad for the stupid misplay). The access to Shift Gear along with Magical Torque to deal with Fighting-types really makes it a menace once given the opportunity to setup. Steel-types aren't free to switch into this either thanks to the access to Blazing Torque. Definitely changed my prior opinion of this mon.

U-Turn and Flip Turn
Nearly everything in this meta has some form of pivoting. I'm not sure whether we might trim down the roster, but as of now even outside of these two games, the metagame leans heavily into pivot spam.

That's all i have for now! No balance changes can be determined yet, but feel free to discuss the meta still! We'll host another roomtour soon once the time comes.

hi! it's been a while

after a quite a long period of silence, it's time to get back into the swing of things. there'll be balance changes soon, but for now there's one particular mon that needs adjusting.

:sinistcha: :sv/sinistcha: :sinistcha:
It's been long overdue for this little guy to get an adjustment like Wugtrio and Toedscruel did. Despite its good defenses, special attack and signature move, there's little reason to use it over mons such as Sapras or Iron Threads. And if you really do need a special attacker with Ghost or Grass STAB, there's stuff like Smoninja and Roseroast.
so lets give Sinistcha a little help! This will be a short 5-day slate, with the rules being:
- These Pokemon must retain their name
- These Pokemon's BST cannot be altered
- These Pokemon must retain at least one of their orginal typings
(Sinistcha must be part-Grass or part-Ghost)
- Anything not listed as one of these restrictions should be fair game
- Sinistcha-Masterpiece will not be counted as a seperate mon

Have fun! Balance changes will be after this, hopefully(?)

some more cleric shit and a non-stab big move. I’m sick as a dog rn so if this seems stupid…..it probably is.

I like how the man criticism of Sinischa was that as a Ghost and or Grass type special attacker better options exist, and that its actually realy hard to compete with bulky Grasses and Ghosts rn

And the solution 90℅ of peopls leaned into was making it have more side options to spread burns and make its signature ability better but still not better than turning a weakness into a neutrality.

:sv/sinistcha:
Pokemon::sinistcha:Sinistcha:sinistcha:
Type: Grass/Water
Abilities: Hospitality (Heal this Pokémon for 1/16 at the end of each turn. ) || Triage (HA) I promise it’s not as bad as it looks
Stats: 100/65/86/116/70/70
Movepool Changes:
+Wish, Flip Turn, Will-o-Wisp, Whirlpool
-Strength Sap, Nasty Plot
Note: Make sure Matcha Gotcha has the healing tag
Two main options, either a pretty terrifying cm triage sweeper with matcha gotcha, or a good bulky Mon that functions similarly to how a pheal Mon would. Grass/Water is always a nice typing that’s Definetly underused and fits cuz tea. Higher HP and lower defenses means it’s better at the whole bulky , and worse at the triage set, even though triage will likely still be it’s best set. There’s even a trapper off set that I could see it being quite good at with Whirlpool, wishtect, hospitality, and matcha gotcha.

Abilities: Hospitality (Similar to before, but also heals replacements) / Teaworker (Steelworker for Grass-type moves. Grants an immunity to Grass-type moves.)
Stats: 76/30/91/121/100/90
Movepool Changes:
+ Hydro Pump, Chilling Water, Muddy Water, Rain Dance, Soak, Water Pulse, Liquidation
-Nasty Plot
I'm going more on the offense here, albeit its also a bit of a cleric, too. Teaworker might be overkill, but I really want it to have STAB on Matcha Gotcha.

:sv/sinistcha:
Pokémon: Sinistcha
Type: Fire / Ghost
Abilities: Competitive / Sticky Hold (same thing but Knock Off does not gain the 1.5x boost here)
Stats: 86 / 45 / 85 / 111 / 85 / 91 {BST: 508}
Movepool Changes:
  • + Fire Blast, Flamethrower, Flare Blitz, Heat Wave, Lava Plume, Overheat, Will-O-Wisp, Ember, Fire Spin, Incinerate, Sunny Day, Taunt
  • Matcha Gotcha (Fire | Special | 80 BP | 100% Acc | 15 PP | 20% chance to Burn. Recovers 50% of the damage dealt. Thaws foe(s))
  • - All Grass-type moves bar Strength Sap
Competitive Role: Uses its signature move and excellent typing to excel as a stallbreaker or physical wall. Its bulk is on the lower side for a role like this, but it makes up for this with its access to Strength Sap, Matcha Gotcha, and its solid speed stat.

Two main options, either a pretty terrifying cm triage sweeper with matcha gotcha, or a nice wishpassing pivot. Grass/Water is always a nice typing that’s Definetly underused and fits cuz tea. council has discussed that passive heal-passing through the new adjustments of Hospitality is not something we'd like to have as it could be a bit of a problem, especially since all three subs here have Wish in their movepool too. Yes LOrd Fernado's Hospitality has the need of the replacement having a status condition, but 50% is still huge and could break stuff such as Throg. Status-spread mons such as Deoxin would struggle pretty heavily as well.

As such, all three will be vetoed until their Hospitality abilities are changed to something else. We suggest either making it heal the replacement's status or something, either way you can do whatever you want as long as it's not passive healing. If you Are insistent on healing though, the maximum you can do is 1/8th health.

24 hours for vetos to be fixed!
