After almost a year and multiple tournaments, with more than 1000 unique signups, 16 players per generation have qualified to compete in the Past Gen Circuit Championships to determine the winners of their respective Circuit and claim the reward of one of the seven Past Gen Ribbons. Get ready for some high level gameplay, because all of the participants have shown that they can claim the title as the best no-one ever was.

Specific Rules:

• These are Standard RBY, GSC, ADV, DPP, BW, ORAS and SM tournaments respectively!
• Matches are to be played on PS, either the main or the smogtours server
• All rounds will be a best of three in this single elimination tournament, and you are free to switch teams during your series
• The tier is LOCKED as of this post. Any changes to any of the tiers will not affect this tournament
• All matches must have their replays recorded!!!

RBY

• Sleep Clause Mod: Limit one foe put to sleep
• Freeze Clause Mod: Limit one foe frozen
• Species Clause: Limit one of each Pokémon
• OHKO Clause: OHKO moves are banned
• Evasion Moves Clause: Evasion moves are banned
• HP Percentage Mod: HP is shown in percentages

GSC

• Sleep Clause Mod: Limit one foe put to sleep
• Freeze Clause Mod: Limit one foe frozen
• Species Clause: Limit one of each Pokémon
• OHKO Clause: OHKO moves are banned
• Evasion Moves Clause: Evasion moves are banned
• Sleep Trap Clause: You can't have a sleeping move and trapping move on the same Pokémon
• HP Percentage Mod: HP is shown in percentages

ADV

• Sleep Clause Mod: Limit one foe put to sleep
• Species Clause: Limit one of each Pokémon
• OHKO Clause: OHKO moves are banned
• Evasion Moves Clause: Evasion moves are banned
• Baton Pass Clause: You are limited to 3 of Baton Pass users.
• HP Percentage Mod: HP is shown in percentages

DPP

• Sleep Clause Mod: Limit one foe put to sleep
• Species Clause: Limit one of each Pokémon
• OHKO Clause: OHKO moves are banned
• Evasion Clause: Evasion moves are banned, as are Sand Veil and Snow Cloak for Pokémon with more than one ability.
• HP Percentage Mod: HP is shown in percentages
• Baton Pass Clause: Baton Pass cannot be used in conjunction with a boost in speed + another stat and no team can contain more than one Pokémon with Baton Pass.

BW

• Sleep Clause Mod: Limit one foe put to sleep
• Species Clause: Limit one of each Pokémon
• Evasion Moves Clause: Evasion moves are banned
• OHKO Clause: OHKO moves are banned

• tl;dr Use profile posts to schedule with your opponent to make it easier for me to track activity calls when needed. If you use other methods to contact your opponent outside of profile posts, then post in this thread confirming you're in contact with your opponent; otherwise, it's not necessary. Extensions for those with time conflicts will only be given when proof is provided of scheduling with their opponent in the beginning of the round (first 2-3 days). Do not schedule last minute expecting to be compensated in case of timezone conflicts or be given an activity win over your opponent. No excuses!

[1] Finchinator vs BIHI [16]: What Finch is doing this year is not normal, he is being very consistent on tours like the seasonals as well as the championship and other BW tours. Bihi is a pretty solid player overall, but I feel like Finch will win this match without much trouble.
[2] Caetano93 vs Morale [15]: Well here we have something interesting, Caetano a player who has a very good record over the last few years against Morale, someone who has joined this year but has proven to be an exceptional player. I see Caetano winning this using some teams that will give something to talk about, the creativity of the Doctor is something that cannot be discussed. On the other hand we have Morale who honestly I have not seen him use a great variety of team but who can always give surprises.
[3] The Quasar vs false [14]: Well I don't have much to say here, quasar is a solid player in general, on the other hand we have a false player that I don't have much to say about him in terms of BW, so I'll give quasar a little advantage but I wouldn't be surprised let False takes the victory home.
[4] toytean vs Rokhan [13]: A quite difficult match to predict, toytean the trusted bald man, he is a player with a lot of experience in the tier but rokhan is not left behind being him as well as toy quite solid. I don't know how much toy is going to prepare for this game but if he concentrates and does a good prep he's able beat rokhan in some close games.
[5] Pohjis vs So Noisy [12]: Tbh Pohjis this year has left me speechless, the fact of being able to qualified for the play-offs of all tiers is very surprising. But on the other hand, we have So noisy, a fairly constant player, who I think could take this match that I hope will be quite entertaining for the spectators. i have to admit i wouldn't be surprised if pohjis wins this but i slightly support so noisy
[6] Ade50 vs Marshall.Law [11]: Buah, I don't know what to say here. The 2 are extremely solid players in the tier, ade50 always surprises us with some quite creative teams but we also have Marshall, a player that throughout the years continues to surprise in the gen. I feel this is a 49.9 / 50.1 in favor of marshall, I'll be looking forward to this game.
[7] Raiza vs egalvanc [10]:I don't think there is much to say here, I feel like Raiza will take this match home without the slightest problem. Egal may come to surprise us but I doubt that he will be able to beat Raiza.
[8] Stareal vs Oibaf [9]: 2 players with not a large amount of experience in the tier, stareal, a player with more experience in other gens but who in the last seasonal had a great performance so for this I will give him a slight advantage over oibaf. Anyways it can be a v closed and interesting game

Marshall.Law vs Pohjis

Emeral vs Haru

Haru has been quite inactive so It's a bit unclear how she'll perform, but when she was playing I always thought she was good. As for Emeral his builds are always up to date with the metagame and feature cool creative ideas. I give a decent edge to Emeral for more recent performances, gl both I hope we see a great series!


Pheo' vs Vusty.

Pheo is coming hot off a Seasonal win so I'll predict him to keep up the good performances! I don't know all that much about Vusty with that being said though like Pheo he is a new player with some decent results the last year but I'll go with the more recent results of the two, I believe it could go either way though. Good luck guys!

Christos21 vs Winterains

Christos has been playing DPP for a long time and had a good run in the most recent Seasonal, I think he can be a pretty good player and he puts the effort in. I'm not so sure about Winterains skill in DPP but they've always seemed like a pretty solid player to me so Christos will have to watch out! Slight edge for to Christos for his experience in the Tier. Should be an interesting one.


Lucix vs Sharow

Already happened.

frisoeva vs SFG

SFG is quite passionate about DPP and always puts up solid results in the tier I've always been a fan of his and I'm sure he's gonna be looking to put up a good performance in this tournament. Frisoeva is in my eyes a good player who will be sure to put up a good fight vs SFG. Lets see a great battle guys!



Malekith vs eden

Both have been around for a long time I've always been impressed by Malekith's DPP and he's had a very good showing in Callous most recent Tournament PSI which features DPP,ADV and BW I'm not always a fan of his teams but he seems to pilot them quite well as shown by his success in the tier. I know very little about eden but he's been around since 2006 so I'm sure he's a solid player who could be tough for Malekith to take down.

hellpowna vs roystopror

This is a very interesting one in my eyes Hellpowna plays a lot of DPP and he plays it well with some pretty creative builds he certainly knows the tier so he'll make for a tough opponent for anyone who faces him. Roy is an excellent player who is pretty underrated, known more for his skills in ADV but he was the Finalist of the most recent DPP cup and is an excellent pilot of teams, in my eyes one of the best players going into this tournament. Slight edge to Roy I'm sure this will be a great battle and Hellpowna might catch Roy off guard with one of his wacky builds. This is probably the highlight for me so good luck both of you, I can't wait to watch!


I'm predicting Emeral to win it all but good luck everyone I can't wait to see what you all come up with in this new metagame!
