Draft Overqwil

Status
Not open for further replies.
[overview]
**Draft Order**: Round 5 onwards

**Price Range**: 8-9 points

**Overview**: Overqwil operates as a flexible, cheap Pokemon that offers plentiful role compression. It can switch between being an offensive or defensive piece on builds due to having access to a plethora of usable abilities and access to a strong STAB move combination that can be spammed throughout a game. Intimidate and Poison Point let Overqwil hinder physical Pokemon and be an exceptional Knock Off absorber. Overqwil can look to use utility moves such as Spikes and Barb Barrage on Intimidate and Poison Point sets, while Swift Swim can be utilized on more offensive builds. However, Overqwil can be let down by its low Special Defense, and since it is a Poison-type that’s not resistant to Fairy, it is susceptible to being worn down easily by Fairy-types.

[strategy comments]
Common Roles
========
**Defensive Utility**: Overqwil can look to use its physical bulk accompanied by Intimidate to sponge physical hits or Poison Point to punish U-turn. With this, Overqwil can then look to use its wide range of utility moves; it can either set up entry hazards in Spikes and Toxic Spikes or use Haze or Taunt on Pokemon attempting to use Overqwil as setup bait. Against other defensive walls, it can look to slowly chip them down through hazards and poison while keeping their HP low by using Taunt.

**Setup Sweeper**: Overqwil can use Swords Dance to deal large amounts of damage with its STAB moves. It is also able to be used on rain archetypes to take advantage of Swift Swim to boost its Speed and use moves such as Liquidation and Waterfall that are also boosted by rain to hit Ground-types harder and force KOs.

Common Moves
========
**Primary STAB Moves**: Crunch, Gunk Shot, Poison Jab, Barb Barrage, Throat Chop

**Setup Moves**: Swords Dance, Agility, Curse

**Utility Moves**: Spikes, Toxic Spikes, Toxic, Taunt, Pain Split, Destiny Bond, Haze, Icy Wind

**Coverage**: Aqua Jet, Waterfall, Liquidation, Ice Beam

Niche Moves
========
**Self-Destruct**: Overqwil sets that want to solely set up entry hazards can use Self-Destruct to block Defog or Rapid Spin from removing them. This would be used mainly on lead Overqwil to open up a more offensive playstyle.

**Endure**: Endure can be used to gain an extra turn of chip damage against physical Pokemon through the usage of Rocky Helmet or another chance of potentially poisoning them with Poison Point. Endure can also be used to activate potential Berries such as Salac and Custap Berry as a last resort against threats.

**Hydro Pump / Surf**: If Overqwil is against Ground-types that are physically defensive, they can be taken advantage of through their weak special bulk by using Hydro Pump or Surf to catch a surprise 2HKO on a switch.

Common Items
========
**Black Sludge**: Overqwil does not have access to recovery outside of Rest, so Black Sludge gives it passive HP recovery to potentially keep it alive longer for games where its longevity is important.

**Sitrus Berry**: Since Overqwil has low Special Defense, it can use Sitrus Berry to avoid getting 2HKOed, which can allow it to gain an extra turn to use its utility or STAB moves. This can also still prevent 2HKOs on the physical side if Intimidate is not enough to do so.

**Rocky Helmet**: Overqwil can use Rocky Helmet to punish physical attackers, and in combination with Intimidate, it can successfully do this multiple times. Rocky Helmet can also be used as a way to punish Flip Turn or U-turn.

**Life Orb**: Offensive Overqwil can use Life Orb to increase the damage output on not only Swords Dance sets, but also on mixed sets where Overqwil wants to run a special coverage move.

Niche Items
========
**Shuca Berry**: Overqwil has a weakness to Ground, so it can use Shuca Berry as a lure against Ground-types while dealing damage back with strong coverage moves such as Liquidation, Hydro Pump, and Ice Beam.

**Choice Band**: Against teams that lack strong resistances to Overqwil's STAB moves, it can use Choice Band to wallbreak and maximize its damage output.

**Choice Scarf**: If you don’t have any good revenge killers or speed control , Overqwil can potentially run Choice Scarf and catch surprise KOs against teams that lack strong resistances to Overqwil's STAB moves.

**Mental Herb**: Mental Herb protects Overqwil from Taunt to safely let it set up entry hazards or crucially poison something to force progress in a battle.

**Heavy-Duty Boots**: Heavy-Duty Boots can help against teams with good entry hazard-stacking potential and lets it repeatedly clear Toxic Spikes while still allowing it to check certain threats with Intimidate.

**Eject Button**: Eject Button can be used to gain free momentum after activating Intimidate, which can allow for a wallbreaker or setup sweeper to come in and take advantage of a weakened physical attacker.

Tera
========
Overqwil should not be your main focus for a Tera Captain, as its typing and abilities allow it to work consistently fine without it; you should look for higher-tier Pokemon that can make better use of Tera instead. However, in cases where you do Terastallize Overqwil, Tera can bolster its offensive sets. Tera Water can be used on Swift Swim sets to hit harder with Liquidation. Tera Poison or Dark can be used to further boost its STAB moves, and Tera Poison also allows Overqwil to switch easily into Fairy-type moves. Tera Fairy and Flying can be used for defensive purposes such as resisting Fighting or gaining an immunity to Ground, while Tera Ghost can be used to allow Overqwil to spinblock if it wants to stack hazards.

Draft Strategy
========
Overqwil is a valuable Pokemon due to its flexibility, but it should be drafted keeping in mind that it does not resist Fairy even if it is a Poison-type. It provides a lot of compression, as many teams want an entry hazard setter, grounded Poison-type, and a Dark-type.

**Specially Defensive Pokemon**: Overqwil's Special Defense is very low; it's extremely prone to getting 2HKOed by many special attackers and is forced out against special wallbreakers. It is important to have Pokemon that can take these hits, as this can create a strong defensive core with synergy. Examples include Uxie, Primarina, and Rotom-W.

**Fairy- / Ground-resistant Pokemon**: Despite being a Poison-type, Overqwil does not resist Fairy—one of the strongest offensive typings—so at the cost of role compression with its dual typing, you should aim to draft other Pokemon that can look to prevent opponents from using Enamorus or Tera Fairy Pokemon against your team and sweeping with them. Examples include Scizor, Gholdengo, and Iron Moth. Drafting Ground-resistant Pokemon is also beneficial, since Ground-types typically check Overqwil, so it is important to have Pokemon that can resist Ground-type moves and match up well against opposing Ground-types. This also helps Overqwil to not be forced into running Shuca Berry as a lure for Ground-types. Examples include Rotom-W, Landorus-T, and Zapdos.

**Wallbreakers**: Overqwil can potentially wallbreak with damage-boosting items; however, this is not a set that can be commonly used, as Overqwil is more useful for its utility, so drafting wallbreakers that can make use of Overqwil's entry hazard stacking will be very useful for dealing damage. Examples include Enamorus, Raging Bolt, and Baxcalibur.

**Setup Sweepers**: Overqwil's entry hazard stacking can allow it to put foes into range of your own setup Pokemon that are able to clean up endgames successfully. Examples include Iron Valiant, Dragonite, and Iron Boulder.

**Speed Control**: Even though Overqwil can use Swift Swim, it usually wants to run Intimidate, and rain is not a common archetype to build around, so it is not a reliable means of speed control. It is important to draft faster Pokemon or reliable Choice Scarf users that can consistently help revenge kill and prevent opponents from opting to run Attack-boosting natures over Speed-boosting natures. Examples include Tornadus-T, Palafin, and any Ogerpon forme.

Checks and Counters
========
**Specially Offensive Wallbreakers**: Specially offensive wallbreakers can take advantage of Overqwil's low Special Defense to deal drastic amounts of damage or force it out, preventing it from setting up entry hazards. Examples include Enamorus, Iron Moth, and Ursaluna-B.

**Ground-types**: Many Ground-types boast strong defensive stats, allowing them to tank Overqwil's STAB moves. Since Overqwil cannot reliably threaten many Ground-types, it can allow them to freely set up entry hazards or dish out powerful attacks. Overqwil can also be threatened out by them, as it will be potentially OHKOed or 2HKOed by their STAB attacks. Examples include Great Tusk, Donphan, and Swampert.

**Lures**: Physical sweepers can lure Overqwil in while holding a Clear Amulet to block Intimidate and use it as bait to set up. Several other setup Pokemon can also use Lum Berry to bait Toxic, and faster setup Pokemon that have access to Taunt can use it to prevent Overqwil using any status move. Overqwil can be rendered useless because of this, as it may not get the chance to use Haze or Toxic. Resistance Berries like Colbur and Kebia Berry can also be potentially used to better survive Overqwil's attacks.

Rewrite this sentence it's murky. I get the general idea you are going for but it's not very clear. Examples include Scizor, Gholdengo, and Iron Moth. Drafting Ground resists is also beneficial so your teams don’t team doesn't get swept by Earthquake coverage. (ap) and so Overqwil is not does not want to be forced into running Shuca Berry lures for Ground types. Examples include Uxie, Landorus-T, and Zapdos.

**Wallbreakers**: Overqwil can potentially wallbreak with Choice Band, however this is not a set that can be commonly used as Overqwil will be more so used for its utility simplify this to say that Overqwil's utility is often more valuable, so drafting wallbreakers that can make use of Overqwils hazard stacking will be very useful for dealing damage. Examples include Enamorus, Raging Bolt, and Baxcalibur.

**Wincons**: Overqwils hazard stacking can allow it to put foes into range of your own setup Pokemon that will be able to clean up endgames late-game successfully. Examples include Iron Valiant, Dragonite, and Iron Boulder.

This can often allow the Ground-type to gain a free turn to set up an entry hazard, which is able to gradually chip down Overqwil. Overqwil can also be hindered by the use of Rocky Helmet on these defensive Ground-types and be threatened out, as it will be potentially OHKOed or 2HKOed by STAB Earthquake or Earth Power. If Overqwil doesn’t want to be forced on Rain archetypes, it can also use Agility as another way of means to boost its Speed. (eh? imo this whole thing was kinda just overselling rain so maybe rewording is fine but i dont think agility deserves its own mention)

**Setup moves**: Swords Dance, Agility, Curse

**Choice Scarf**: If Speed control is dire and you don’t have any good revengers, Overqwil can potentially run Choice Scarf and catch surprise KOs against teams that lack strong resistances to Overqwils STAB moves.

Tera
========
Overqwil should not be your main focus for a Tera Captain as its current dual typing and abilities allow it to work consistently fine without it, you should look to allow Higher(lowercase) tier Pokemon that can make better use of Tera better the Tera Captain instead. However, in cases where you do Tera Overqwil, this can bolster its offensive sets. Tera Water can be used on Swift Swim sets to hit harder with Liquidation or to force 2HKOs with Liquidation against Ground-types without needing to go Special.(this is all just hitting harder with liquidation).(added period) Tera Poison or Dark can be used to further increase the STAB damage and Tera Poison would allow Overqwil to switch easily into fairy moves. Tera Fairy and Flying can be used for defensive purposes (what will they help w/ that overqwil struggles sgainst)whilst Tera Ghost can be used to allow Overqwil to block Rapid Spin if it wants to stack hazards.

Draft Strategy
========
Overqwil is a valuable Pokemon due to its flexibility, and should be drafted in mind that it is not a Fairy resist even if it is a Poison type. However, it provides a lot of compression as many teams will look to want such as a hazard setter, grounded Poison, and a Dark type on their teams.

It is important to have Pokemon that can take these hits as this can create a strong defensive core with synergy. Examples include Uxie, Heatran, and Rotom Wash.

**Fairy / Ground resists**: Overqwil does not resist Fairy – one of the strongest offensive typings currently in the meta, so at the cost of role compression with its dual typing, you should aim to draft other Pokemon that can look to prevent foes using Enamorus or Tera Fairy pokemon against your team and sweeping with them. Examples include Scizor, Gholdengo, and Iron Moth. Drafting Ground resists is also beneficial so your teams don’t get swept by Earthquake coverage and so Overqwil is not forced into running Shuca Berry lures for Ground types. (i think last sentence needs to be reworded but i have no ideas just noting it for later. something around the lines that since ground types can typically wall overqwil it is important to have pokemon that do well into ground types)Examples include Uxie, Landorus-T, and Zapdos. (

**Wallbreakers**: Overqwil can potentially wallbreak with Choice Band damage-boosting items, however this is not a set that can be commonly used as Overqwil will be more so used for its utility, so drafting wallbreakers that can make use of Overqwils hazard stacking will be very useful for dealing damage. Examples include Enamorus, Raging Bolt, and Baxcalibur.

**Wincons**: Overqwils hazard stacking can allow it to put foes into range of your own setup Pokemon that will be able to clean up endgames successfully. Examples include Iron Valiant, Dragonite, and Iron Boulder.

**Speed control**: Even though Overqwil can use Swift Swim, Overqwil usually wants to run Intimidate and Rain is not a common archetype to build around so it is not a reliable means of Speed control. It is important to draft faster Pokemon or reliable Choice Scarf users that can consistently help revenge kill and prevent opponents from opting to run Attack-boosting natures over Speed-boosting natures. Examples include Tornadus-T, Palafin, and any Ogerpon form.

Checks and Counters
========
**Specially offensive wallbreakers**: Specially offensive wallbreakers can take advantage of Overqwils low Special Defense to deal drastic amounts of damage or force it out, preventing it from setting up entry hazards. Examples include Enamorus, Iron Moth, and Ursaluna-B.

**Ground-types**: Many Ground-types boast strong defensive stats, allowing them to tank both of Overqwils STAB moves. This can often allow the Ground-type to gain a free turn to set up an entry hazard, which is able to gradually chip down Overqwil. Overqwil can also be hindered by the use of Rocky Helmet on these defensive Ground-types and be threatened out by them, as it will be potentially OHKOed or 2HKOed by STAB Earthquake or Earth Power attacks. Examples include Great Tusk, Donphan, and Swampert. (this entire thing sounds clunky to me im ngl. maybe smth like overqwil cannot reliably threaten many grounds, which can allow them to possibly get up an entry hazard)

**Lures**: Physical sweepers can lure Overqwil in while holding a Clear Amulet to block the usage of Intimidate and use it as bait to setup. Overqwil can become rendered useless as it may not get the chance to use Haze or Toxic because of this. Several other setup Pokemon can also still use Lum Berry to bait the usage of Toxic and faster setup Pokemon that have access to Taunt can use it to prevent Overqwil using any status move against it. Resistance berries in Colbur and Kebia can also be potentially used to bait Overqwil into attacking better survive Overqwil's attacks.

**Choice Band**: Against teams that lack strong resistances to Overqwils STAB moves, it can use Choice Band to wallbreak and maximize its damage output.

**Choice Scarf**: If Speed control is dire and you don’t have any good revengers, Overqwil can potentially run Choice Scarf and catch surprise KOs against teams that lack strong resistances to Overqwils STAB moves.

**Mental Herb**: (protects hazard vomit sets from taunt)

**Assault Vest**: (patches up the special bulk issue you mentioned and lets it check different mons)

**Heavy-Duty Boots**: (helps vs teams with good hazard stack potential and lets it repeatedly clear tspikes, check things with intimidate, etc)

**Eject Button**: (hit something with intimidate then get a setup mon in on it for free)

Tera
========
Overqwil should not be your main focus for a Tera Captain as its current dual typing and abilities allow it to work consistently fine without it, you should look to allow Higher-tier Pokemon that can make better use of Tera instead. However, in cases where you do Tera Overqwil, this can bolster its offensive sets. Tera Water can be used on Swift Swim sets to hit harder with Liquidation. Tera Poison or Dark can be used to further increase the STAB damage and Tera Poison would allow Overqwil to switch easily into fairy moves. Tera Fairy and Flying can be used for defensive purposes such as resisting Fighting or gaining an immunity to Ground, whilst Tera Ghost can be used to allow Overqwil to block Rapid Spin if it wants to stack hazards.

Draft Strategy
========
Overqwil is a valuable Pokemon due to its flexibility, and should be drafted in mind that it is not a Fairy resist even if it is a Poison type. However, it provides a lot of compression as many teams will look to want such as a hazard setter, grounded Poison, and a Dark type on their teams.

**Specially defensive Pokemon**: Overqwils Special Defense is very low, its extremely prone to getting 2HKOed by many Special Attackers and is forced out against Special wallbreakers. It is important to have Pokemon that can take these hits as this can create a strong defensive core with synergy. Examples include Uxie, Heatran Primarina, and Rotom Wash. (defensive core of 2 mons that hate ground seems bad)

**Fairy / Ground resists**: Despite being a Poison-type, Overqwil does not resist Fairy – one of the strongest offensive typings, so at the cost of role compression with its dual typing, you should aim to draft other Pokemon that can look to prevent foes using Enamorus or Tera Fairy pokemon against your team and sweeping with them. Examples include Scizor, Gholdengo, and Iron Moth. Drafting Ground resists is also beneficial since Ground types typically wall check Overqwil, so it is important to have Pokemon that can resist Ground-type moves and be able to match up well against opposing Ground types. This would also help Overqwil to not be forced into running Shuca Berry lures for Ground types. Examples include Rotom-W, Landorus-T, and Zapdos.

**Wallbreakers**: Overqwil can potentially wallbreak with damage-boosting items, however this is not a set that can be commonly used as Overqwil will be more so used for its utility, so drafting wallbreakers that can make use of Overqwils hazard stacking will be very useful for dealing damage.

========

Since Overqwil can not reliably threaten many Ground-types, it can allow them to freely set up entry hazards or dish out powerful attacks. Overqwil can also be threatened out by them, as it will be potentially OHKOed or 2HKOed by STAB attacks. Examples include Great Tusk, Donphan, and Swampert.

Resistance berries in Colbur and Kebia can also be potentially used to better survive Overqwil's attacks.

[overview]
**Draft order Order**: Round 5 onwards

**Price range Range**: 8-9 points

**Overview**: Overqwil operates as a flexible, cheap Pokemon that offers plentiful role compression. It can switch between being an offensive or defensive piece on builds due to having access to a plethora of usable abilities and access to a strong STAB combo move combination that can be spammed throughout a game. Intimidate and Poison Point lets let Overqwil hinder Physical physical Pokemon and be an exceptional Knock Off absorber. Overqwil can look to use utility moves such as Spikes or and Barb Barrage on Intimidate and Poison Point sets, (AC) (clarifying the implication since it's a contrasting while) while Swift Swim can be utilized on more offensive builds. However, Overqwil can be let down by its low Special Defense, (AC) and since it is a Poison-type that’s not resistant to Fairies Fairy, it is susceptible to being worn down easily by them Fairy-types.

[strategy comments]
Common Roles
========
**Defensive utility Utility**: Overqwil can look to use its physical bulk accompanied by Intimidate to sponge physical hits or Poison Point to punish U-turn. With this, (AC) Overqwil can then look to use its wide range of utility moves; (replaced comma with semicolon) it can either set up entry hazards in Spikes or and Toxic Spikes or use Haze or Taunt on Pokemon attempting to use Overqwil as setup bait. Against other defensive walls, (AC) it can look to slowly chip them down through hazards and poison (RC) while keeping their low HP low by using Taunt.

**Setup sweeper Sweeper**: Overqwil can use Swords Dance to deal large amounts of damage with its STAB moves. It is also able to be used on Rain rain archetypes to take advantage of Swift Swim to boost its Speed and then it can use moves such as Liquidation or and Waterfall that are also boosted by Rain rain to hit Ground-types harder and force KOs (RA).

Common Moves
========
**Primary STAB moves Moves**: Crunch, Gunk Shot, Poison Jab, Barb Barrage, Throat Chop

**Setup moves Moves**: Swords Dance, Agility, Curse

**Utility moves Moves**: Spikes, Toxic Spikes, Toxic, Taunt, Pain Split, Destiny Bond, Haze, Icy Wind

**Coverage**: Aqua Jet, Waterfall, Liquidation, Ice Beam

Niche Moves
========
**Self-Destruct**: Overqwils Overqwil sets (the plural of a mon is always the same as the singular; adding "sets" to remove confusion) that want to solely set up entry hazards can use Self-Destruct to block Defog or Rapid Spin from removing them. This would be used mainly on lead Overqwils Overqwil to open up a more offensive playstyle.

**Endure**: Endure can be used to gain an extra turn of chip damage against Physical physical Pokemon through the usage of Rocky Helmet (RC) or to gain another chance of potentially poisoning them by with Poison Point. Endure can also be used to activate potential Berries such as Salac or and Custap Berry as a last resort against threats.

**Hydro Pump / Surf**: If Overqwil is against Ground-types that are physically defensive, they can be taken advantage of through their weak Special Bulk special bulk by using Hydro Pump or Surf to catch a surprise 2HKO on a swap switch.

Common Items
========
**Black Sludge**: Overqwil does not have access to recovery outside of Rest, so Black Sludge gives it a way of having passive HP recovery to potentially keep it alive longer for games where its longevity is important.

**Sitrus Berry**: Since Overqwil has low Special Defense, it can use Sitrus Berry to avoid getting 2HKOed, (AC) which can allow it to gain an extra turn to use its utility moves or to freely use its STAB moves. This is of course not just limited to against Special Attacking foes but (filler) can also still prevent 2HKOs on the Physical physical side if Intimidate is not enough to prevent it do so (repetition).

**Rocky Helmet**: Overqwil can use Rocky Helmet to punish Physical physical attackers, (AC) and with the in combination of with Intimidate, Overqwil it can successfully do this multiple times. Rocky Helmet can also be used as a way to punish Flip Turn or U-turn.

**Life Orb**: Offensive Overqwils Overqwil can use Life Orb to increase the damage output on not only Swords Dance sets, (AC) but also on mixed sets where Overqwil wants to hold run a Special special coverage move.

Niche Items
========
**Shuca Berry**: Overqwil has a weakness to Ground-types, so it can use Shuca Berry as a lure against Ground-types whilst while dealing damage back with strong coverage moves such as Liquidation, Hydro Pump, and Ice Beam.

**Choice Band**: Against teams that lack strong resistances to Overqwil's (AA) STAB moves, it can use Choice Band to wallbreak and maximize its damage output.

**Choice Scarf**: If Speed control is dire and you don’t have any good revengers revenge killers or speed control (not saying speed control as a concept is dire), Overqwil can potentially run Choice Scarf and catch surprise KOs against teams that lack strong resistances to Overqwil's (AA) STAB moves.

**Mental Herb**: Mental Herb will protect protects Overqwil from Taunt to safely let it set up an entry hazard (RC) entry hazards or get off a poison that can be crucial crucially poison something to force progress in a battle.

**Heavy-Duty Boots**: Heavy-Duty Boots can help against teams with good entry hazard-stacking (AH) stack potential and lets it repeatedly clear Toxic Spikes while still allowing it to check certain threats with Intimidate.

**Eject Button**: Eject Button can be used to gain free momentum after activating Intimidate, (AC) which can allow for a wallbreaker or set up setup sweeper to come in and take advantage of a weakened physical attacker.

Tera
========
Overqwil should not be your main focus for a Tera Captain, (AC) as its current dual typing and abilities allow it to work consistently fine without it; (replaced comma with semicolon) you should look to allow Higher-tier for higher-tier Pokemon that can make better use of Tera instead. However, in cases where you do Terastallize Overqwil (remove confusion between Tera Overqwil as joined noun and Tera Overqwil as a verb), this Tera can bolster its offensive sets. Tera Water can be used on Swift Swim sets to hit harder with Liquidation. Tera Poison or Dark can be used to further increase the STAB damage boost its STAB moves, (AC) and Tera Poison would allow also allows Overqwil to switch easily into fairy Fairy-type moves. Tera Fairy and Flying can be used for defensive purposes such as resisting Fighting or gaining an immunity to Ground, whilst while Tera Ghost can be used to allow Overqwil to block Rapid Spin spinblock if it wants to stack hazards.

Draft Strategy
========
Overqwil is a valuable Pokemon due to its flexibility, and but it (this clause contrasts prior idea, so but) should be drafted keeping in mind that it is not a Fairy resist does not resist Fairy even if it is a Poison-type (AH). However, it It (don't want to contrast a sentence that contrasts itself) provides a lot of compression, (AC) as many teams will look to want such as a an entry hazard setter, grounded Poison-type, and a Dark-type (AH) on their teams.

**Specially defensive Defensive Pokemon**: Overqwil's (AA) Special Defense is very low; (replaced comma with semicolon) it's (AA) extremely prone to getting 2HKOed by many Special Attackers special attackers and is forced out against Special special wallbreakers. It is important to have Pokemon that can take these hits, (AC) as this can create a strong defensive core with synergy. Examples include Uxie, Primarina, and Rotom Wash Rotom-W.

**Fairy- (AH) / Ground-resistant Pokemon resists**: Despite being a Poison-type, Overqwil does not resist Fairy—one of the strongest offensive typings—so at the cost of role compression with its dual typing, you should aim to draft other Pokemon that can look to prevent foes opponents from using Enamorus or Tera Fairy pokemon Pokemon against your team and sweeping with them. Examples include Scizor, Gholdengo, and Iron Moth. Drafting Ground resists Ground-resistant Pokemon is also beneficial, (AC) since Ground-types (AH) typically check Overqwil, so it is important to have Pokemon that can resist Ground-type moves and be able to match up well against opposing Ground-types (AH). This would also help helps Overqwil to not be forced into running Shuca Berry lures as a lure for Ground-types (AH). Examples include Rotom-W, Landorus-T, and Zapdos.

**Wallbreakers**: Overqwil can potentially wallbreak with damage-boosting items; (replaced comma with semicolon) however, (AC) this is not a set that can be commonly used, (AC) as Overqwil will be is more so used useful for its utility, so drafting wallbreakers that can make use of Overqwil's (AA) entry hazard stacking will be very useful for dealing damage. Examples include Enamorus, Raging Bolt, and Baxcalibur.

**Wincons Setup Sweepers**: Overqwil's (AA) entry hazard stacking can allow it to put foes into range of your own setup Pokemon that will be are able to clean up endgames successfully. Examples include Iron Valiant, Dragonite, and Iron Boulder.

**Speed control Control**: Even though Overqwil can use Swift Swim, Overqwil it usually wants to run Intimidate, (AC) and Rain rain is not a common archetype to build around, (AC) so it is not a reliable means of Speed speed control. It is important to draft faster Pokemon or reliable Choice Scarf users that can consistently help revenge kill and prevent opponents from opting to run Attack-boosting natures over Speed-boosting natures. Examples include Tornadus-T, Palafin, and any Ogerpon form forme.

Checks and Counters

(moved this sentence to after you actually discuss Toxic) Resistance berries in Berries like Colbur and Kebia Berry can also be potentially used to better survive Overqwil's attacks.
