- Thanks to its great bulk, breathtaking offensive profile, and access to Trick Room, Calyrex-I is a ferocious wallbreaker for offensive teams.
- Calyrex-I being an offensive Ice-type is great in Ubers, where there are very few Ice-resistant Pokemon and many targets hit super effectively by Ice, such as Koraidon, Miraidon, Ting-Lu, and Arceus-Ground.
- An Adamant Nature allows Calyrex-I to outspeed Ting-Lu outside of Trick Room and threaten it without fear of taking a Ruination.
- Heavy-Duty Boots is almost always the preferred item because of Calyrex-I's crippling weakness to entry hazards, but Calyrex-I can occasionally leverage its huge bulk to take advantage of Weakness Policy.
- Tera Fire gives Calyrex-I an immunity to Will-O-Wisp from its best check, Skeledirge, while giving it a Fire and Steel resistance, allowing it to set up on even Koraidon and Zacian-C.
- While Tera Fire is generally preferred for its better defensive capabilities, Tera Ground is an alright option that grants Calyrex-I STAB on High Horsepower, allowing it to OHKO Zacian-C without a boost.
- Because of Calyrex-I's absurd wallbreaking prowess, it is best used on offensive teams as a mid-game wallbreaker or late-game sweeper once its checks are weakened. Because its bulk is so great, Calyrex-I can come in and set up on many Pokemon that can't damage it much, like Ting-Lu, Landorus-T, and defensive Eternatus.
- Koraidon is an excellent partner, as it and Calyrex-I can weaken their shared checks like Skeledirge, Toxapex, and Kyogre for each other. Calyrex-I also loves Koraidon giving it free switches with a strong U-turn.
- Kyogre can threaten Calyrex-I's checks for it, as can Calyrex-I for Kyogre. Kyogre is also decently slow, so it appreciates the support of Trick Room if Calyrex-I itself is KOed while Trick Room is active.

I actually want to see a mention of Caly-I's best offensive trait: it's an offensive Ice-type in a tier with very few resists
I don't hate Weakness Policy as an item; you can use it against Lando-T spammers to get the fat SD boost while you TR since it's ill-advised to stay in. Won't force you to add it, though :)

other than that this is a pretty straightforward mon, 2/2
