Tangrowth is okay but is outclassed by Venu really, there aren't many viable chloro mons in general.
Why are people hyping up regular venusaur like its S rank. It only gets like 3 turns to abuse sun. Without eq it's walled by heatran, without knock off its walled by gengar, without hp fire it's walled by ferro and skarm. It just doesn't seem worth it because you can only use 1 specific mega with it which is Charizard y. It has way too high of an opportunity cost for legit use.
It can tear apart hyper offense, has no opportunity cost that i can see besides a teamslot and mvenu, but it is a niche mon that should be D rank, C rank at best (that's stretching it) because of its nicheness and reliant on support.
What's a good way to deal with Cotton Guard DD M-Alt? Seems like it 6-0s a bunch of teams if you give it one free turn.
MVenu is really the only PERFECT counter
You've got strong special attackers such as Tail Glow + Ice Beam Manaphy, Gengar, and Kyurem-B which are capable of breaking through Cotton Guard and OHKOing Mega Altaria. Taunt annoys Mega Altaria a lot as well so you've got stallbreakers such as Talonflame, Gengar, Gliscor, Mew, and the like, to stop Mega Altaria from continously setting up with Dragon Dance and Cotton Guard.

Something that can take care of hippo and ferro like hp fire serperior or hp fire offensive starmie
heatran, bisharp, klefki, keldeo, empoleon, clefable, talonflame, azumarill, landorust, ferrothorn, gengar, tyranitar, mew are a handful
hippo and bulky grounds are the main answers to it, i just listed ferro because some sets run volt switch and focus blast has shaky accuracy.

I use 200 atk, 56 spatk, max speed hasty on life orb variants.
im pretty sure 160 isnt enough unless you are talking about mixed def clefable from what I can tell cause 160 I dont believe breaks down physical defense ones.
It has an opportunity cost because it's forced to be with mega Zard which is the guaranteed partner. So if you use venu, your mega slot is gone thanks to zard and shit like keldeo and azumarill ( on your respective side) can't spam hydro pump and waterfall.

Don't most people agree that Ninetales totally sucks in OU and is unviable though?
It was E-ranked until that went away, probably because of those three extra sun turns. Still, Ninetales can't do much beyond set sun--sure, if it gets up a Nasty Plot you're in trouble, but base 81 only goes so far, and it's not terribly bulky.
