[overview]
**Draft order**: Round 3 onwards

**Price range**: 15-16 points

**Overview**: Ogerpon operates as a reliable cleaner while also functioning as a wallbreaker against teams that lack strong Grass resistances. Tera Ogerpon provides free speed control—no matter what set it runs—thanks to Embody Aspect, allowing it to freely attack naturally faster Pokemon while also being able to outspeed Choice Scarf users, preventing it from getting revenge killed as well. It can also run a plethora of utility options to avoid becoming passive in bad matchups, as it has access to moves such as Taunt, Knock Off, Encore, and U-turn. While Ogerpon does not boast a dual typing unlike its other formes, it's not limited by holding a mask, so it has access to nearly any item, which can allow Ogerpon to become much more flexible when teambuilding.

[strategy comments]
Common Roles
========
**Wallbreaker**: Ogerpon will look to Terastallize and go on to use Tera-boosted Ivy Cudgel against teams that lack Grass resistances, dealing heavy damage. Wallbreaker sets are usually complemented with an Attack-boosting item to maximize damage output such as Choice Band.

**Setup sweeper**: After a Swords Dance and Tera, Ogerpon can sweep teams with the accumulated boosts and look to use its movepool on several sets to disadvantage or sweep an opponent's team. Sets can run Horn Leech to increase longevity or even Trailblaze to outpace faster Choice Scarf users.

**Utility pivot** Ogerpon has access to a very strong movepool utility-wise, having access to moves such as Encore, Spikes, U-turn, and Knock Off. Combined with its elite speed control and offensive presence due to Tera, it can successfully run these to force progress against any team.

Common Moves
========
**Primary STAB moves**: Ivy Cudgel, Horn Leech, Wood Hammer, Power Whip

**Setup moves**: Swords Dance, Trailblaze,

**Utility moves**: U-turn, Taunt, Knock Off, Spikes, Synthesis, Encore, Substitute

**Coverage**: Play Rough, Superpower, Low Kick, Stomping Tantrum, Zen Headbutt, Rock Tomb

Niche Moves
========
**Spiky Shield**: It allows Ogerpon to get free damage against physical attackers while possibly scouting for potential Choice Scarf users. Spiky Shield chip damage can also potentially put said physical attacker into 2HKO range of Ogerpon's attacks.

**Quick Attack**: It's less common on Ogerpon, but after a Swords Dance, it can be used to pick off weakened Pokemon that are quicker than Tera Ogerpon when it is unable to use Trailblaze to outspeed them.

**Focus Energy**: Focus Energy is used in conjunction with Ivy Cudgel so that Ogerpon can muscle its way past foes that boost their Defense, doing so in an attempt to counter Swords Dance sets, via the increased critical hit ratio.

Common Items
========
**Heavy-Duty Boots**: Heavy-Duty Boots is used when the plan is to increase Ogerpon's longevity for as long as possible, and it doesn't need a Choice item to carry out its given role. This can allow Ogerpon to be much more aggressive in plays against entry hazard-reliant teams.

**Choice Band**: Choice Band allows Ogerpon to maximize its damage output, becoming a potent wallbreaker. It can be used mainly against teams that lack solid Grass resists resistances.

**Life Orb**: Life Orb allows Ogerpon to maximize its damage output while having the freedom of not being Choice-locked, allowing it to possibly run Swords Dance or any utility options. Life Orb also synergizes well with Horn Leech or Synthesis sets, as they increase Ogerpon's longevity while dealing large amounts of damage.

Niche Items
========
**Choice Scarf**: Choice Scarf can be used in combination with Tera on Ogerpon to prevent the need to use Trailblaze to outspeed Speed-boosted Pokemon. It allows Ogerpon to become a strong revenge killer while also still functioning as a wallbreaker.

**Miracle Seed**: In scenarios where you don't want to Choice-lock Ogerpon and don't want to take Life Orb recoil, Miracle Seed can be used as an alternative to increase damage output.

**Lum Berry**: Lum Berry can be used on Swords Dance sets where you expect Ogerpon to become statused in the process of setting up.

**Razor Claw**: Using Razor Claw can further increase Ivy Cudgel's high critical hit ratio while not needing to waste a turn to click use Focus Energy.

**Protective Pads**: It's less popular due to Ivy Cudgel being non-contact, but it could be useful for sets that want to use Power Whip, Knock Off, and U-turn against a team that may carry Rocky Helmet or have contact-punishing abilities.

Tera
========
When drafting Ogerpon, you should have the intention to Tera it so you can maximize the potential damage with wallbreaking and sweeping sets, which Ogerpon will excel in. Not being able to Tera Ogerpon will mean you lose out on the Speed boost from Embody Aspect, and at that point, many other Grass-types can outrank Ogerpon as an offensive Grass-type. It's usually in your best interest to Tera Ogerpon as soon as possible unless the opponent has access to Intimidate, which Ogerpon can take advantage of with Defiant before it Terastallizes.

Draft Strategy
========
When drafting Ogerpon, you should take it as a Tera Captain to utilize the full potential Ogerpon has. With this in mind, viable first round picks to pair with Ogerpon should most likely be Tera-banned Pokemon such as Iron Valiant, Darkrai, and Palafin.

**Entry hazard setter**: When drafting Ogerpon, you need to keep in mind that it is very susceptible to losing to Flying-types such as Corviknight, Zapdos, and Tornadus-T. Ogerpon can slightly hinder these Pokemon with Knock Off; however, Knock Off means you want to pair Ogerpon with good hazard setters that can reliably set up Stealth Rock, gradually forcing progress against Flying-types that Ogerpon could have issues with. Examples of these include Garchomp, Great Tusk, and Ting-Lu.

**Special wallbreakers**: Drafting a special wallbreaker can help complement an offensive core with Ogerpon to force pressure against teams. Examples of this include Enamorus, Chi-Yu, and Latios.

**Speed control**: Drafting something faster than Ogerpon is beneficial, as it can prevent faster Pokemon from using Attack-boosting natures rather than Speed-boosting natures because they know Ogerpon will Tera. Examples include Tornadus-T, Greninja, and Iron Bundle.

**Pivots**: Ogerpon's access to U-turn allows it to be a great pivot, and if paired with other pivot users, you can set up a strong VoltTurn playstyle that can utilize entry hazards to slowly weaken Ogerpon checks into the range of being KOed by Ivy Cudgel. Examples of this include Uxie, Galarian Slowking, and Rotom-W.

Checks and Counters
========
**Flying-types**: Bulky Flying-types resist Ogerpons STAB moves and also are able to freely switch in and resist most of its coverage moves as well. Ogerpon can possibly Knock Off their Heavy-Duty Boots and U-turn around;however, they can still hard check Ogerpon, preventing it from ever wallbreaking instantly. To counter this, Ogerpon can possibly run Rock Tomb for the Flying-types that have a 4x resistance to its Grass-type STAB moves like Moltres and Talonflame.

**Resistance Berry lures**: Ogerpon's attacks come off as very telegraphed; if it is not using a STAB move to attack, it would use a coverage move,which are very limited. This makes it extremely easy to run a resistance Berry to lure Ogerpon into attacking.

**Speed control/priority move users**: Even if Ogerpon has accessibility to a free Speed increase once Terastallized, it can still be susceptible to faster Speed-boosting users if it is not holding a Choice Scarf or if it's not used Trailblaze. Examples of this include Unburden Sneasler, Battle Bond Greninja, and Booster Energy Iron Boulder. On the other hand, strong priority users can revenge kill Ogerpon or force it out after it has used Swords Dance, preventing it from ever sweeping. Examples of this include Sucker Punch Kingambit, Ice Shard Weavile, and Extreme Speed Dragonite.

[overview]
**Draft order**: Late round 3 onwards

**Price range**: 14-15 15-16 points

**Overview**: Ogerpon Teal operates as a strong wallbreaker while also being able to function as a cleaner that snowballs once the foes team is weakened. I feel like the opposite is true: it's a cleaner that can also be used as a wallbreaker. The Speed boost after Tera is the selling point of the mon. Pure Grass is a bad offensive typing for a wallbreaker, but it's strong enough to be able to pull it off sometimes. Put more emphasis on the Speed boost by talking about how Tera Ogerpon provides free speed control no matter what set it's running. This is mainly due to Terastallization which gives Ogerpon a permanent Speed boost and if this coupled with the move Swords Dance, Tera-boosted Ivy Cudgels can look to sweep teams. Tera Ogerpons permanent Speed boost allows it to freely attack naturally faster Pokemon while also being able to outspeed Choiced Scarf Pokemon to prevent getting revenge killed as well. It can also run a plethora of utility options to not become passive in bad matchups by having access to moves such as Taunt, Knock Off, Encore, and U-turn. However, since Ogerpon does not have dual typing compared to other Ogerpons, it can really struggle to beat down Flying type Pokemon such as Tornadus-T and Zapdos, therefore it utilizes Knock Off much more to set up kills through entry hazards. Even if While Ogerpon does not boast a dual typing unlike its other formes, the niche it boasts that other Ogerpon forms cannot do is that it’s not limited to holding a mask, so it has accessibility access to any item it wants which can allow Ogerpon to become much more flexible in the building stage.
Overview is too long/wordy in general, so I marked some info to remove that I think is unnecessary. You will probably need to slightly edit sentence structure to make the paragraph flow after removing them though.

[strategy comments]
Common Roles
========
**Wallbreaker**: Ogerpon can will look to Terastallize and go onto using Tera-boosted Ivy Cudgels against teams that lack Grass resists to deal heavy damage. Wallbreaker sets are usually complimented with an Attack boosting item to maximize damage output, such as Choice Band.

**Setup Sweeper**: After using Swords Dance, Ogerpon can look to abuse checks to it that have been weakened over the course of the game and become extremely hard to revenge kill due to terastallization giving it a Speed boost. Horn Leech is a possible move Ogerpon can use after Swords Dance to increase its longevity in the game while sweeping to avoid dying to priority revengers. Ogerpon can also use Trailblaze which gets buffed to 60 Base Power once Tera’d on setup sets to outspeed potential faster Speed-boosted Pokemon such as Iron Valiant and Greninja.
This is difficult to read/a little dexy. You can shorten it a lot by just saying after an SD and Tera, Ogerpon can sweep teams with +2/+1 offenses, and then say these sets can run Horn Leech for longevity/Trailblaze to outpace faster Choice Scarf users.
GP thing: don't use the word "abuse" cause you'll get yelled at.

**Utility** In certain matchups where Ogerpon cannot work well offensively, it can be used as an enabler by setting up Spikes while also utilizing Knock Off to remove Heavy-Duty Boots and Taunt to prevent Defog removing entry hazards. Ogerpon can also stop setup Pokemon with the usage of Encore and this can be combined with U-turn to pivot out and keep momentum on potential switches.
This section is confusing to me. It doesn't read very well, as I interpret this as "you should only choose from the moves Knock Off/U-Turn/Taunt/Encore/Spikes to do this role." I think it's better to change this to like "Utility Pivot" and mention Ogerpon's strong utility movepool, but it still has an offensive presence/speed control thanks to Tera.

Common Moves
========
**Primary STAB moves**: Ivy Cudgel, Horn Leech, Wood Hammer, Power Whip

**Setup moves**: Swords Dance, Trailblaze,

**Utility moves**: U-turn, Taunt, Knock Off, Spikes, Synthesis, Encore, Substitute could add Leech Seed, although I haven't seen it used before admittedly. Won't force this

**Coverage**: Play Rough, Superpower, Low Kick, Stomping Tantrum, Zen Headbutt, Rock Tomb

Niche Moves
========
**Spiky Shield**: Allows Ogerpon to get free damage against physical attackers while possibly scouting for Choice Scarfs. Spiky Shield chip can also potentially put said physical attacker into 2HKO range of Ogerpons attacks.

**Quick Attack**: Less common on Teal Ogerpons, but after a Swords Dance it can be used in scenarios to pick off weakened Pokemon that are quicker than Tera Ogerpon while you’re not able to use Trailblaze to outspeed them.

**Focus Energy**: When used in conjunction with Ivy Cudgel which has a high crit ratio, Ogerpon can crit much more commonly to beat past Pokemon that raise their Defense to try and counter Swords Dance sets.

Common Items
========
**Heavy-Duty Boots**: Heavy-Duty Boots are used when the plan is to increase the longevity on Ogerpon for as long as possible and you don’t need a Choiced item to have Ogerpon carry out its given role. This can allow Ogerpon to be much more aggressive in plays against hazard reliant teams.

**Choice Scarf**: Choice Scarf can be used in combination with Tera on Ogerpon to prevent the need to Trailblaze to outspeed Speed-boosted Pokemon. Allows Ogerpon to become a strong revenge killer while also still functioning as a wallbreaker.
Move this to niche items

**Choice Band**: Choice Band allows Ogerpon to maximize its damage output to become a Potent potent wallbreaker, can be seen used mainly against teams that lack solid Grass resists.

**Life Orb**: Life Orb synergises well with Horn Leech to maximise damage from Swords Dance sets while keeping Ogerpon out of range of any revengers attempting to use priority.
Rephrase this section, since it seems strangely focused on Ogerpon being healthy even though the topic is Life Orb to increase damage output. You can mention its synergy with Horn Leech/Synthesis, but do that after you talk about the damage increase.

Niche Items
========
**Miracle Seed**: In scenarios where you don’t want to Choice-lock Ogerpon and don’t want to take Life Orb recoil, Miracle Seed can be used as an alternative to increase damage output. to attain 2HKOs or even possibly bluff the usage of a Choice Band.

**Lum Berry**: Lum Berry can be used on Swords Dance sets where you expect Ogerpon to become statused in the process of setting up.

**Mental Herb**: Similarly to Lum Berry where you want to be able to get a Swords Dance off freely, but in scenarios where the foe has access to Taunt or Encore.
This is too niche. Ogerpon is outspeeding nearly every Taunt/Encore anyway.

**Razor Fang Claw**: Using Razor Fang Claw can further increase Ivy Cudgels high Crit ratio while not needing to waste a turn to click Focus Energy.

add Protective Pads. Useful for sets that want Power Whip/Knock/U-Turn vs a team that may carry Rocky Helmets or have contact-punishing abilities.

Tera
========
When drafting Ogerpon, you should have the intention to Tera it so you can maximize the potential damage in wallbreaking and sweeping sets, which Ogerpon will excel in. Not being able to Tera Ogerpon will mean you lose out on the Speed boost from Embody Aspect, and at that point many other Grass types can outrank Ogerpon as an offensive Grass type. However, when having access to Tera it can be better to not Tera straight away to take advantage of Ogerpons ability. Pre Tera Ogerpon has the ability Defiant which can allow it to set up freely on Intimidate users such as Landorus-T and Qwilfish switching in attempting to hinder Ogerpons attack. It is after this you can then go on to Tera and easily clean the rest of the team.
Shorten this to just say it's usually in your best interest to Tera Ogerpon as soon as possible unless the opponent has Intimidate user(s), which Ogerpon can take advantage of with Defiant before it Terastalizes.

Draft Strategy
========
Ogerpon can be a great Round 4 pick as it has amazing breaking power while accessibility to useful utility moves. Already said all this earlier If drafted, you should keep in mind you want to Tera this Pokemon over your first or second round pick When drafting Ogerpon, you should take it as a Tera Captain to showcase utilize the full potential Ogerpon has. With this in mind, viable first round picks you go for should most likely be Tera banned Pokemon such as Iron Valiant, Darkrai and Palafin.

**Entry hazard setter**: When drafting Tera Ogerpon, you need to keep in mind that it is very susceptible to getting beat by Flying types such as Corviknight, Zapdos and Dragonite. Ogerpon can slightly cripple these Pokemon due to having access to Knock Off, however, Knock Off means you want to pair Ogerpon with good hazard setters that can reliably set up Stealth Rocks to gradually force progress against Flying types that Ogerpon could have issues with. Examples of these include Garchomp, Great Tusk, and Ting Lu.

**Special wallbreakers**: Drafting a special wallbreaker can help complement an offensive core with Ogerpon to force pressure against teams. Examples of this include Enamorus-I, Chi-Yu and Latios.

**Speed Control**: Even if Ogerpon gains a Speed boost from Embody Aspect, if it ever gets paralyzed it can become extremely hard for it to ever reliably wallbreak or revenge kill, so drafting Drafting something faster than Ogerpon is beneficial to also prevent faster Pokemon running Attack-boosting natures rather than Speed-boosting natures if because they know Ogerpon will Tera anyway to outspeed it. Examples of these include Tornadus-T, Greninja, and Iron Bundle.

**Pivots**: Ogerpon’s access to U-turn allows it to be a great pivot and if paired with other pivot users you can set up a strong VoltTurn playstyle that can utilize abusing hazards in the playstyle to slowly weaken Ogerpon checks into range of Ivy Cudgel. Examples of this include Uxie, Galarian Slowking, and Rotom-W.

**Knock Off users*: Even if Ogerpon has access to Knock Off, you may not be able to position it well in games until its able to actually switch in to sweep, so drafting other Knock Off users to remove Heavy-Duty Boots off of checks to Ogerpon and cripple them will allow Ogerpon to be able to clean games up. Examples of this include Weavile, Meowscarada, and Hisuian Samurott.
I don't think this needs its own section since Ogerpon can Knock itself. I know you said you might not be able to position it well, but this doesn't feel on the same level as the other points.

Checks and Counters
========
**Flying-types**: Bulky Flying types resist Ogerpons pure STAB typing and also are able to freely switch in and resist most of its coverage moves as well. Ogerpon can possibly Knock Off their Heavy-Duty Boots and U-turn around, however they can still hard check Ogerpon to prevent it from ever wallbreaking instantly. Mention that Ogerpon has Rock Tomb for frailer Flying types.

**Lures**: Since Ogerpon only boasts a pure Grass typing compared to its counterparts who have dual STABS, only having Grass STAB can be underwhelming at times as many types can resist this, such as Dragon, Grass, Poison, Steel, and Fire. Although Ogerpon can hold coverage for these Pokemon they can have lures set up in resistance Berries and Rocky Helmet chip. Other Pokemon that are also originally weak to Ogerpons Grass STAB or are just susceptible to being 2HKOd by Ivy Cudgel can also Tera into one of the types that resist Grass to survive and possibly kill Ogerpon.
I get what you're trying to say here, but this paragraph is very confusing to read. Needs to be shortened/rewritten/renamed. "Lures" is too general. Maybe just change it to "Resistance Berry lures" and talk about how Ogerpon's telegraphed STAB/coverage for Grass-resists makes it easy to run a resist Berry lure against it.

**Speed control/priority move users**: Even if Ogerpon has accessibility to a free Speed increase once Tera’d, it can still be susceptible to faster Speed-boosting users if it is not holding a Choice Scarf or if it’s not used Trailblaze. Examples of this include Unburden Sneasler, Battle Bond Greninja, and Booster Energy Iron Boulder. On the other hand, strong priority users can revenge Ogerpon or force it out of a state where it has used Swords Dance to prevent it from ever sweeping. Examples of this include Sucker Punch Kingambit, Ice Shard Weavile, and Extreme Speed Dragonite.

However, Ogerpon can possibly run Rock Tomb for the frailer (check comment below) Flying type Pokemon such as Moltres or Talonflame. (dont like the use of the word frailer here bc moltres isnt frail, but i think it should be specified with pokemon that quad resist grass)

**Resistance Berry lures**: Ogerpon's attacks come off as very telegraphed as if it is not using a STAB move to attack, it would use a coverage move which are very limited, this makes it extremely easy to run a resist Berry to lure Ogerpon into attacking.

have made the changes, however I do have some second thoughts on adding protective pads due to ivy cudgel being non contact and simply a better grass stab move to have 80% of the time. added a little bit extra to the start of pads but I do think it may be unnecessary to have pads as an item overall

**Price range**: 15-16 points

**Overview**: Ogerpon operates as a reliable cleaner while also being able to functioning as a wallbreaker against teams that lack strong Grass resists resistances. Tera Ogerpon provides free speed control—no matter what set it runs—thanks due to Embody Aspect, this allows allowing it to freely attack naturally faster Pokemon while also being able to outspeed Choiced Choice Scarf Pokemon users, (ac) to preventing it from getting revenge killed as well. It can also run a plethora of utility options to not become avoid becoming passive in bad matchups, (ac) by having as it has access to moves such as Taunt, Knock Off, Encore, and U-turn. While Ogerpon does not boast a dual typing unlike its other formes, it's not limited to by holding a mask, so it has access to nearly any item, (ac) it wants which can allow Ogerpon to become much more flexible in the building stage when teambuilding.

[strategy comments]
Common Roles
========
**Wallbreaker**: Ogerpon will look to Terastallize and go onto using on to use Tera-boosted Ivy Cudgels Cudgel against teams that lack Grass resists to deal resistances, dealing heavy damage. Wallbreaker sets are usually complimented complemented with an Attack-boosting (ah) item to maximize damage output (rc) such as Choice Band.

**Setup sweeper**: After an SD a Swords Dance and Tera, Ogerpon can sweep teams with +2 attack/+1 speed offenses (rc) with the accumulated boosts and look to use its movepool on several sets to keep a lead on the disadvantage or sweep an opponent's team. Sets can run Horn Leech to increase longevity or even Trailblaze to outpace faster Choice Scarf users.

**Utility pivot** Ogerpon has access to a very strong movepool utility-wise (ah), having access to moves such as Encore, Spikes, U-turn, and Knock Off. Combined with its elite speed control and offensive presence due to Tera, (ac) it can successfully run these to force progress against teams no matter what most any team.

Common Moves
========
**Primary STAB moves**: Ivy Cudgel, Horn Leech, Wood Hammer, Power Whip

**Setup moves**: Swords Dance, Trailblaze,

**Utility moves**: U-turn, Taunt, Knock Off, Spikes, Synthesis, Encore, Substitute

**Coverage**: Play Rough, Superpower, Low Kick, Stomping Tantrum, Zen Headbutt, Rock Tomb

Niche Moves
========
**Spiky Shield**: Allows It allows Ogerpon to get free damage against physical attackers while possibly scouting for potential Choice Scarfs Scarf users. Spiky Shield chip damage can also potentially put said physical attacker into 2HKO range of Ogerpon's (aa) attacks.

**Quick Attack**: Less It's less common on Teal Ogerpons Ogerpon, but after a Swords Dance, (ac) it can be used in scenarios to pick off weakened Pokemon that are quicker than Tera Ogerpon while you're not able when it is unable to use Trailblaze to outspeed them.

**Focus Energy**: When used in conjunction with Ivy Cudgel which has a high crit ratio, Ogerpon can crit much more commonly to beat past Pokemon that raise their Defense to try and counter Swords Dance sets. first part is straight dex info so i'm going to reword it a bit Focus Energy is used in conjunction with Ivy Cudgel so that Ogerpon can muscle its way past foes that boost their Defense, doing so in an attempt to counter Swords Dance sets, via the increased critical hit ratio.

Common Items
========
**Heavy-Duty Boots**: Heavy-Duty Boots are is used when the plan is to increase the longevity on Ogerpon's longevity for as long as possible, (ac) and you don't need a Choiced item to have Ogerpon it doesn't need a Choice item to carry out its given role. This can allow Ogerpon to be much more aggressive in plays against entry hazard-reliant (ah) teams.

**Choice Band**: Choice Band allows Ogerpon to maximize its damage output, (ac) to become becoming a potent wallbreaker. (rc, ap) It can be seen used mainly against teams that lack solid Grass resists resistances.

**Life Orb**: Life Orb allows Ogerpon to maximize its damage output while having the freedom of not being Choice-locked, (ac) allowing it to possibly run Swords Dance or any utility options. Life Orb also synergises synergizes well with Horn Leech or Synthesis sets, (ac) as you can increase the longevity on Ogerpon they increase Ogerpon's longevity while dealing large amounts of damage.

Niche Items
========
**Choice Scarf**: Choice Scarf can be used in combination with Tera on Ogerpon to prevent the need to use Trailblaze to outspeed Speed-boosted Pokemon. Allows It allows Ogerpon to become a strong revenge killer while also still functioning as a wallbreaker.

**Razor Claw**: Using Razor Claw can further increase Ivy Cudgel's (aa) high Crit critical hit ratio while not needing to waste a turn to click use Focus Energy.

**Protective Pads**: Less It's less popular due to Ivy Cudgel being non-contact, (ac) but it could be useful for sets that want Power Whip/Knock/U-Turn vs to use Power Whip, Knock Off, and U-turn against a team that may carry Rocky Helmets Helmet or have contact-punishing abilities.

Tera
========
When drafting Ogerpon, you should have the intention to Tera it so you can maximize the potential damage in with wallbreaking and sweeping sets, which Ogerpon will excel in. Not being able to Tera Ogerpon will mean you lose out on the Speed boost from Embody Aspect, and at that point, (ac) many other Grass-types (ah) can outrank Ogerpon as an offensive Grass-type (ah). It's usually in your best interest to Tera Ogerpon as soon as possible unless the opponent has access to Intimidate user(s), which Ogerpon can take advantage of with Defiant before it Terastalizes Terastallizes.

Draft Strategy
========
When drafting Ogerpon, you should take it as a Tera Captain to utilize the full potential Ogerpon has. With this in mind, viable first round picks you go for should most likely be Tera-banned (ah) Pokemon such as Iron Valiant, Darkrai, (ac) and Palafin.

**Entry hazard setter**: When drafting Tera Ogerpon, you need to keep in mind that it is very susceptible to getting beat by Flying types losing to Flying-types such as Corviknight, Zapdos, (ac) and Tornadus-T. Ogerpon can slightly cripple hinder these Pokemon due to having access to with Knock Off; (rc, asc) however, Knock Off means you want to pair Ogerpon with good hazard setters that can reliably set up Stealth Rocks to gradually force Rock, gradually forcing progress against Flying-types (ah) that Ogerpon could have issues with. Examples of these include Garchomp, Great Tusk, and Ting-Lu (ah).

**Special wallbreakers**: Drafting a special wallbreaker can help complement an offensive core with Ogerpon to force pressure against teams. Examples of this include Enamorus-I Enamorus, Chi-Yu, (ac) and Latios.

**Speed control**: Drafting something faster than Ogerpon is beneficial, (ac) to as it can prevent faster Pokemon running from using Attack-boosting natures rather than Speed-boosting natures because they know Ogerpon will Tera. Examples include Tornadus-T, Greninja, and Iron Bundle.

**Pivots**: Ogerpon's access to U-turn allows it to be a great pivot, (ac) and if paired with other pivot users, (ac) you can set up a strong VoltTurn playstyle that can utilize entry hazards in the playstyle to slowly weaken Ogerpon checks into the range of being KOed by Ivy Cudgel. Examples of this include Uxie, Galarian Slowking, and Rotom-W.

Checks and Counters
========
**Flying-types**: Bulky Flying-types (ah) resist Ogerpons pure STAB typing STAB moves and also are able to freely switch in and resist most of its coverage moves as well. Ogerpon can possibly Knock Off their Heavy-Duty Boots and U-turn around; (rc, asc) however, (ac) they can still hard check Ogerpon, (ac) to preventing it from ever wallbreaking instantly. However To counter this, Ogerpon can possibly run Rock Tomb for the Flying type Pokemon that quad resist its Grass STAB, examples include Moltres and Talonflame. Flying-types that have a 4x resistance to its Grass-type STAB moves like Moltres and Talonflame.

**Resistance Berry lures**: Ogerpon's attacks come off as very telegraphed; (asc) as if it is not using a STAB move to attack, it would use a coverage move, (ac) which are very limited. (rc, ap) This makes it extremely easy to run a resistance Berry to lure Ogerpon into attacking.

**Speed control/priority move users**: Even if Ogerpon has accessibility to a free Speed increase once Tera’d Terastallized, it can still be susceptible to faster Speed-boosting users if it is not holding a Choice Scarf or if it's not used Trailblaze. Examples of this include Unburden Sneasler, Battle Bond Greninja, and Booster Energy Iron Boulder. On the other hand, strong priority users can revenge kill Ogerpon or force it out of a state where after it has used Swords Dance, (ac) to preventing it from ever sweeping. Examples of this include Sucker Punch Kingambit, Ice Shard Weavile, and Extreme Speed Dragonite.
