NFL Weekly Predictions Challenge

I did awesome in the first half of the games, then did terrible in the afternoon games on Sunday (though not quite as bad as WB), and it looks like SF is going to win for me tonight. Still not as good as I would have liked though =[

Really shouldn't have gone for the "upset" with Arizona over SF, oh well. Still 10-6 if memory serves me well (pretty sure I was 10-5 going into the Monday-nighter), but from what other people are saying 10-6 isn't going to get me far :/

im 3-13 i dont want to hear any bitching from anyone
Only because you failed to post your predictions =P. I missed on every game from 4pm sunday onward lol. I only ended up dropping two spots in the standings, but I'm now like 8 games out of first instead of 3 (fu Stallion for going 14-2 like a bitch :D)

EDIT: WEEK THIRTEEN MATCHUPS ARE POSTED!

Week 12, Week 12, Week 12. Despite what appeared to be a wild week, not a whole lot changed in the field itself. Even after suffering an embarassing 7-9 debacle, WaterBomb managed to remain in the top 10 (though he is 8 games out of first and tied with two others). The top of the standings is not so crowded anymore, with some of the long time ties being broken up over the weekend. Stallion reclaimed his first place spot for the second time with an impressive 14-2 mark. Zangetsu was no slouch either, coming in at 12-4 and jumping back ahead of Shinryu and Slyuy46 into the top 4. kd24 and Echo also had solid weeks, going 12-4 and 13-3 respectively and thus moving up the chart a bit. Still, all but four of us managed 10 wins or better, further evidencing that each week is very crucial and mistakes can spell doom. Will Stallion hold onto his lead? Will I be able to recover from my error? Will a new leader emerge that we haven't seen yet? Will Alan miraculously run the table and pull off the upset of the century? Don't miss another minute...next week!

Alright, it's do or die this time...

Houston at Philadelphia - Might be closer than expected, but I don't think Houston will be able to contain Vick like Chicago did.
Jacksonville at Tennessee - Tennessee is done.
Chicago at Detroit - As badly as I want Detroit to win, I have to take the safer pick.
Cleveland at Miami - This will be close as well, but Cleveland showed weakness against Carolina, and Miami is good against the run.
Washington at New York Giants - Losing to AP-less Minnesota? C'mon man.
Denver at Kansas City - Never again will I pick Denver =/.
San Francisco at Green Bay - Not. Even. Close.
Buffalo at Minnesota - Only if AP plays. If not Buffaro wins the "upset".
New Orleans at Cincinnati - Teehee
Oakland at San Diego - "Oak"verrated.
Carolina at Seattle - Seattle, why must you be the bane of my existence?
St Louis at Arizona - Arizona always wins when I count them out but meh.
Atlanta at Tampa Bay - Sorry Tampa.
Dallas at Indianapolis - Good luck Dallas *muffled giggles*
Pittsburgh at Baltimore - May seem like an upset pick, but Pittsburgh and Baltimore split their matchups like 99% of the time so...
New York Jets at New England - FINALLY we get to see how overrated the Jets are.

Houston at Philadelphia -
Jacksonville at Tennessee -
Chicago at Detroit -
Cleveland at Miami -
Washington at New York Giants -
Denver at Kansas City -
San Francisco at Green Bay -
Buffalo at Minnesota -
New Orleans at Cincinnati -
Oakland at San Diego -
Carolina at Seattle -
St Louis at Arizona -
Atlanta at Tampa Bay - Sorry WaterBomb
Dallas at Indianapolis -
Pittsburgh at Baltimore -
New York Jets at New England -

Houston at Philadelphia
Jacksonville at Tennessee
Chicago at Detroit
Cleveland at Miami
Washington at New York Giants
Denver at Kansas City - c'mon denver....................
San Francisco at Green Bay
Buffalo at Minnesota - yeah, thats right, i picked buffalo
New Orleans at Cincinnati
Oakland at San Diego - when san diego gets on a roll they go
Carolina at Seattle
St Louis at Arizona
Atlanta at Tampa Bay
Dallas at Indianapolis
Pittsburgh at Baltimore
New York Jets at New England - J-E-T-S JETS JETS JETS

Houston at Philadelphia (sorry Houston, you're playing a team with an actual QB this time)
Jacksonville at Tennessee
Chicago at Detroit
Cleveland at Miami
Washington at New York Giants
Denver at Kansas City (I have lost all faith in Denver, yet still start Orton in fantasy. Hmm...)
San Francisco at Green Bay
Buffalo at Minnesota (They've had some close matchups against some tough teams, I think they can pull this one out)
New Orleans at Cincinnati
Oakland at San Diego
Carolina at Seattle
St Louis at Arizona (never again picking Arizona. Ever.)
Atlanta at Tampa Bay
Dallas at Indianapolis
Pittsburgh at Baltimore
New York Jets at New England

Those last two games are tough, Pittsburgh and Baltimore is a toss-up and while the Jets may be overrated it's still hard to go against their record. Hopefully things work out so I can make a move before the leaders get too far ahead of me, I seem to lose ground every week no matter how well I do -_-

EDIT: Also do I get a bonus point for the Grey Cup? No? Oh well, go Montreal anyway! :D

- most of these were toss ups i just ended up going with the home team
- picking buffalo at minny is my worst pick but i have a funny feeling
- atlanta won a huge game vs green bay + on the road vs tampa = tampa surprising victory
- indy will not go 6-6
- picking against san diego would just be stupid now
- as always, i have now jinxed baltimore at home vs pitt by picking them. oh well
- cleveland/washington/chicago will probably win but im not feeling like any of those are good picks, especially with all 3 on the road.

Well, this week is going to be probably the most important week of the season for a few teams, and the Divisional Champions are looking closer ever second.

I like the Michael Vick's over Houston, they're still one of the dominant teams in the NFC. Jacksonville was disappointing last week, but Tennessee is almost done - however, I might change this pick due to Kerry Collins starting this week. Chicago once again proves my faith in them wasn't misplaced earlier in the year, and I was a fool to pick against them. I'm picking Cleveland over Miami, because Cleveland is a much better team than their record shows, and their multitude of trick plays is beneficial against a somewhat predictable Miami. The G-Men are an ok team, Washington is an ok team, I'm picking the G-Men. KC is a much better team than Denver, and they're going to make the Chargers work for the AFC West. Green Bay against San Francisco is lol.

I'm going with Buffalo here because they make their opponents really work for a win, and the Vikings just seem like they're barely holding on to the team. New Orleans - lets make that Cincy loss streak 9, shall we? San Diego continues to be unstoppable in November/December, and I'm not trusting Oakland with anything anymore (Jacoby Ford however, I expect to be fantastic, as always). Seattle is a tiny bit better than Carolina, so they get my nod for this game. St. Louis is a lot better than Arizona, so they also get my nod (though you can never tell with the NFC West). Atlanta is an unstoppable team, even when they're not at home. Indianapolis needs to get it together, and who better to do so then against them Cowboys?

Finally, the two big games this week. In Pittsburgh v. Baltimore, I'm picking Baltimore because Pittsburgh seems a little more injured, and with Big Ben losing a little mobility due to his ankle sprain, I gotta go with the Ravens. Finally, for the main event of the week, I have to pick my Jets, not only for my faith in them, but because we simply want this win so much more than the Patriots do.
