hello everyone and welcome to the uhu nfepl iv power rankings. i have questioned and graded all 10 competing teams on a series of questions alongside my good friend Rav3ndan. i decided to go with the following, unbiased categories that clearly have no relation to me or my personal hobbies:

anime: Cheryl: WataMote is the single greatest anime and also the only one I've watched in the last 3 years so | Miyami: Yu-Gi-Oh! GX
hottest food take: 2/10
Cheryl: pickles r bad
Miyami: Poutine is bad and wastes good fries (I'm canadian so this qualifies)
roselias had by far the least inspired and most unhot takes of them all. when i asked this question i was hoping for a question that would invoke either fierce passion or unbridled rage upon reading. "pineapple on pizza is fine / not fine" being a good example, albeit one that loses marks for being incredibly unimaginative.
personally, i don't know many people who feel anything other than neutrality towards them. i raised the question of poutine in three different servers, and while there were opinions on either side, it did not start a single argument or meaningful debate. these barely qualify as takes
discord server quality: 1/10
@everyone permissions were given to everyone and this happened.
Tack :] went to the effort of setting their entire server up and somehow cheryl managed to undo most of these and break it again. to their credit, they do have the largest number of emotes out of everyone, but most of them are also incredibly samey.
the 13 pings secured them a spot at the bottom of this rank no matter what else happened.
team swag: 2/10
after much discussion with my friend Rav3ndan we concluded that roselias were the second to least cool team of them all. the name just feels uninspired and roselia is a pretty ugly mon when you properly look at it with the stumpy legs and green tricorne head.
they don't have any fanart, understandably, so this'll have to suffice.

i'm actually not going to go through each question one by one for the corsolas, i think it's funnier to just present them in one big chunk. with the exception of this log:

burger is just a generic popular food and i didn't feel like leo had any real conviction here. he also got dragged down hard by thimo's answers:
honestly i expected better quality memes from thimo. the shrek twinky lowkey isn't even that bad of a food as soon as you realise they just shoved some green food colouring into a low-tier american snack. rick roll is a classic but i thought it'd be funnier to just not do the thimo freestyling thing.
discord server quality: 5/10
there isn't really anything wrong with their server, it's just... there. it works. a perfectly average score for a perfectly average PL server that clearly isn't intended to be used until the draft is over.

"cursed corsolas". "cursolas". the name is just boring as fuck lmao they've literally pulled the name from corsola's natural evolution and corsola-galar has no drip whatsover. mon is dying.

BP: Meat is overrated
TTK: hottest food take is that strawberries are absolutely abhorrent and they deserve to be burned
honestly not much to say about these, they're just the better version of the roselia takes. ttk clearly cares about the strawberry thing more than most people who would simply say he is very very wrong and move on, because strawberries are pretty great, but this take at least generates a quick reaction. bp lets him down though. "meat" is so vague and honestly i don't think even he believes it. nobody likes haggis. meat is very good but there's a lot of awful meat out there and everyone seems to acknowledge this, so i don't see how anyone could even entertain the idea of it being overrated. this isn't really a hot take in my eyes, just a confusing one that could probably do with some elaborating.
discord server quality: 2/10
i hate to spoil the cabbage here, but pretty much every server from 2/10 through to 6/10 is of roughly the same quality, but this one goes to the bottom of the pack because of their awful emotes.
to clarify, the teams rated 5/10 through 7/10 have no emotes whatsoever. these just actively detract from the server, with poggaroo being the only saving grace.

i don't think i really need to go into this one. "burning heart brionne" has the worst mascot, the worst prefix, and maybe this is too pedantic but i don't like how brionne is apparently the plural of brionne unlike every other team here.

unfortunately sans did not have any food takes, but cheese & marmalade is just weird enough as a combination to carry her to a reasonable 3/10. there's not really anything to talk about here but i have never heard of this combination ever being attempted. maybe i'm the weird one.
discord server quality: 7/10
as mentioned in the brionne rankings, this server has no emotes, or anything special. but they're the only team with unique roles, fully committing to the mafia gimmick by referring to their opponents as "the police" with the most active pre-draft server, barring maybe the morgrems. they also have the best tryout system of all the teams.
team swag: 8/10
i personally had the monfernos at #1 - the name is the best of them, they have the best motif, and their mascot is pretty cool too. rav ranked them somewhere in the middle with a 6/10 rating so we met in the middle here. fr though monferno is a top goon.

Jett: Pineapple on Pizza isn't even that bad but more specifically Hawaiian pizza is actually pretty nice; most people have never even tried it and just say it's bad cause of the internet and are a bunch of sheep.

jett had the answer of a traditionalist but loses marks for the lack of creativity. hawaiian pizza is such a tired topic. it got Rav3ndan angry though so i can't be too harsh. marjane didn't really have a hot take, but just eats weird food sometimes. chips in a baguette with no sauce sounds like it'd be drier than anything i've eaten in years. anyway, these hot takes are respectable but are mostly this high up because of the disappointing answers below it rather than any big amount of spice.

alright so sbpc's is just incredibly niche which makes it a pretty low-tier take in my eyes. most people are not close enough to a professional chef to even have an opinion on this. he gets hard carried by tack here because what the fuck? tack eats steak raw. not rare, raw. i personally do not like steak, which in retrospect could've been my hot take, but i'm at least aware of the conflict between people on what temperature steak should be cooked at (as well as what seasonings to use, how thick the cut should be, etc. etc.) and i have never considered just eating it like a wild animal. i think many people who read this will look at tack slightly differently now.

ok so in all honesty i'm not sure if these qualify as hot takes or just weird behaviours but quagsgone takes the top bun off and presumably just holds it from underneath like a waiter. the only alternative i can think of is he just holds it like a normal person but gets burger grease and sauce all over his hands just picking the thing up. 85% meanwhile seems to consume food like a robot, just living off whatever spaceman gruel he has access to because it's the quickest food to eat and holds all the necessary nutritional supplements.
we've kind of broken the rules here a bit by ranking these as the highest "hot takes" even though they aren't strictly takes, just weird habits, but these are both odd enough that i can't help myself.

like the ferros, they got it right.
the main reason i'm ranking these over the ferros is because they have some great emotes, such as

like the ferros, me and rav3ndan drastically differed here; i personally had them at 4/10 but he had them at 10/10, so we split down the middle again. i'm not so sure on the name personally but generally speaking people seem to like it a lot, and the fact they already have a logo ready to go is impressive and gets them into the overall rank #1 position. thanks for reading.
