I call this one the "Screw You, Zygarde"
Groudon-Primal @ Red Orb
Ability: Desolate Land
Tera Type: Fire
EVs: 240 HP / 36 Atk / 216 Def / 16 Spe
Impish Nature
- Heat Crash
- Precipice Blades
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- Stone Edge
(I don't know how to EV defensively)
You need at least a couple of sentences explaining how the set works. Heavily considered adding HP Ice to the list of bans since I consider it pretty trash, but I didn't so shoot for it. You have plenty of time to figure out a spread that works though if there is no explanation by the deadline this set will not be considered for voting

Groudon-Primal @ Red Orb
Ability: Desolate Land
Tera Type: Ground
EVs: 252 HP / 72 Atk / 40 Def / 40 SpD / 104 Spe
Relaxed Nature
- Swords Dance
- Precipice Blades
- Overheat
- Rock Tomb / Toxic / Stone Edge

Set Origins: After every time I've had a burst of motivation to build in the aftermath I inevitabily say I have x number of teams in my builder and x Primal Groudons with Overheat. That is still mostly true (I'm growing). I've been talking about SD + Overheat Pdon would be amazing on the right team. I have built a team with this set, but I have yet to test it so I won't post it yet. I'm planning on doing a teamdump after I lose in seasonals this weekend and it'll probably be there.

Nature / EVs: So the first thing to decide is what direction to take this sort of set. Obviously one is not going to run w/ an Impish, Adamant, or Jolly nature on this sort of set. This sort of set could take a more offensive approach, but knowing my building and playing habits retaining a reasonable amount of defensive utility was the direction I wanted to go. This spread surives +3 Zac-C CC after Rocks and is 4HKOed by defensive Pogre Ice Beam. There might be a couple of other signficant attacks I'm forgetting. The speed outpaces uninvested base 90s.

Moves: First three are pretty self explanatory. The last slot is fairly flexible. Initially I went for Stone Edge, but between a small roll and the miss chance it is a 70% chance to OHKO Ho-Oh which isn't great given that I wanted to retain defensive utility. Rock Tomb does enough to Ho-Oh and Overheat cooks it if it teras. Rock tomb has the speed dropping utility while Toxic is Toxic.

A very similar set to Defensive Primal Kyogre but combining Bulk Up and Rest on a behemoth like Primal Groudon makes it pretty annoying for Fat Balance and sometimes Bulky Offense teams to deal with consistently, being able to come in on Ho-Oh and Primal Kyogre much more easily without fearing status conditions like Toxic, boosting to win in the mid-to-late-game. Earthquake and Rock Tomb are preferred over Precipice Blades and Stone Edge due to their better accuracy, as well as the latter's utility for teammates, similar to Scald burns from Primal Kyogre. The given EV spread not only lets Primal Groudon avoid the 2HKO from Choice Band Marshadow's Poltergeist, but it lets Primal Groudon survive attacks that could typically knock it out, such as Arceus-Ground's unboosted Judgement after Stealth Rock, Choice Specs Tera Dragon Eternatus's Dynamax Cannon after Stealth Rock while minimizing the odds of being 2HKO'd by Life Orb Yveltal's Dark Pulse (to 22.3%).

Just like Defensive Primal Kyogre, it's ideal to not use this thing in the early-game, not only because of surprise factor, but because even with Rest its hit-taking capabilites are limited. Due to the lack of hazards or utility of typical Defensive Primal Groudon, or the damage output of Eruption or Double Dance Primal Groudon, it often relies on teammates such as Arceus-Water or Necrozma-DM to set hazards and status conditions, while also appreciating Giratina-O to remove hazards (as well as acting as a Primal Groudon or Zygarde check, which this set lacks compared to Primal Kyogre).

I uh...wrote the whole thing up last week and forgot click post so congrats to S0A0M0I0 for winning with Bulk Up SpD Primal Groudon!

:sv/yveltal:
All sets listed on the dex
Choice Band
Choice Specs
Mirror Herb
Dark Z
Blackglasses
Yveltal has truly lived up the moniker of 'Ygod' since Xerneas' departure. Unless you're running stall there is probably some Yveltal set that can fill a role on your team! The list of banned options is pretty broad but I'm sure you'll be able to teach an old bird some new tricks! The submission deadline is 20 May 12.00 GMT.

All the good sets are banned? And even the possibly viable ones?! Yeah, let’s bring the set no one ever wanted to see…

:sv/yveltal:
Hone Claw Setup Sweeper:
Yveltal @ Heavy-Duty Boots / Black Glasses / Darkinium Z
Ability: Dark Aura
Tera Type: Dark
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Hone Claws
- Lash Out / Sucker Punch
- Taunt / Sucker Punch / Acrobatics
- Rock Slide

So we use Hone Claws to setup and make us scary here. Lash Out is sadly our best physical STAB option so we’re gonna work with this. Rock Slide is for Ho-Oh. The item slot is where this set splits in two. One is no Z-Move and the other is with Z-Move.

Without the Z-Move you get your choice between Taunt and Sucker Punch, meaning turning stuff like Ferrothorn and Giratina into setup or Sucker Punch to make up for Yveltal’s less than spectacular Speed stat so we can revenge-kill Eternatus and Deoxys-A. Heavy-Duty Boots is self explanatory and so is Black Glasses. Tera Dark is best to amp up Lash Out damage.

If Z-Move is chosen, then Acrobatics is probably the best choice, as it’ll become Yveltal’s strongest STAB option. Lash Out can be replaced for Sucker Punch if you wanted for more Speed control. What is the Z-Move for? Well, when used on Hone Claws, it gives us a Swords Dance boost + a 110 BP STAB. Tera Flying allows Acrobatics to do some crazy stuff.

+2 252 Atk Tera Flying Yveltal Acrobatics (110 BP) vs. 248 HP / 8 Def Ferrothorn: 380-448 (108.2 - 127.6%) -- guaranteed OHKO

+2 252 Atk Tera Flying Yveltal Acrobatics (110 BP) vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Giratina: 306-362 (60.7 - 71.8%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery

+2 252 Atk Tera Flying Yveltal Acrobatics (110 BP) vs. 248 HP / 68+ Def Groudon-Primal: 278-328 (68.9 - 81.3%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

This set even keeps Arceus-Fairy from switching in.

+2 252 Atk Yveltal Acrobatics (110 BP) vs. 248 HP / 136+ Def Arceus-Fairy: 250-295 (56.4 - 66.5%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

Yeah. This is a funny little set.

If you look at the "Other Options" for XY Yveltal and SM Yveltal's analyses, you'll see a "Substitute + Disable" strategy mentioned repeatedly. Unfortunately this only leads to Yveltal having two attacking moveslots, but since Oblivion Wing heals a lot of HP anyways, and Dark Pulse is very reliable STAB, I don't think this is an issue. Typically, Yveltal can come in on moves such as Defog from Giratina-O, or Shadow Sneak from Choice Band Marshadow, which forces both of them to switch. Then Substitute can be used to abuse said switch into mons such as Arceus-Fairy or Eternatus. As they try to break the sub with Judgement or Dynamax Cannon, Disable can then be used, either forcing them to switch as well, or enabling a teammate such as Primal Groudon, Necrozma-DM or Mega Salamence. The HP investment is mostly filler but it prevents Chansey/Blissey's Seismic Toss from breaking sub, while the Speed is for outspeeding support Arceus formes and the Primals. Tera Ghost cheeses Extreme Speed from Extreme Killer, letting you Substitute on it and later disable the Shadow Claw, letting you wall it completely (Earthquake EKiller is not real). Foul Play, Knock Off, U-Turn and Roost are all viable options as well.

Congrats to S0A0M0I0 for winning with Sub Disable Yveltal!

- Ones found on the strategy dex or are WIP
- Be reasonable for the ones that arn't (i.e. CM Recover Refresh Judgement Arceus-Flying with a standard ev spread)
Arceus is both the God of Pokemon and fittingly has close to a God-tier movepool. Any Arceus forme can be submitted! The deadline for submissions is 27 May 13.00 GMT.

May I present:
Arceus-Fakery

Arceus-Fairy @ Pixie Plate
Ability: Multitype
Tera Type: Ground
EVs: 56 HP / 252 Atk / 76 Def / 124 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Earthquake
- Stone Edge
- Dragon Dance
- Recover

Now, you are probably wondering why you would use a worse Arceus Ground that has to tera. Well, while it might be worse at sweeping, setting up for this pokemon is a breeze. Switch this pokemon in on Yveltal or Zygarde, and they will obviously switch to their fairy counters, those being the types that ground hits for super effective damage. Not only does this put you in an instantly favorable position, but this also gives you a free turn to set up, two if they switch back. While not as effective at its job as Arceus Ground, it is much better at becoming the game ending sweeper. And even if this set is bad, just by putting this set out there, I have guaranteed you will see at least a few of these on the ladder for the next few months. And much like sash Marshadow, its existence alone makes Arceus Fairy much more threatening, as from now on, you can never be entirely sure that your opponents Arceus Fairy is not running this set.

Arceus-Ghost converts from a Dragon Dance sweeper into a bulky Calm Mind attacker, similar to Arceus-Fairy and Arceus-Water. Fortunately, Arceus-Ghost has access to Focus Blast, giving it the same attacking coverage as Marshadow, limiting what can come into it severely, since Arceus-Dark is 2HKO'd by +1 Focus Blast. Tera Fighting makes this STAB, giving a chance to OHKO Arceus-Dark at +1, while doing good damage against Yveltal. The given EV spread avoids the OHKO from Life Orb Yveltal's Dark Pulse while giving as much Speed as possible.

Aura Sphere is an alternative to Focus Blast but this is weak as shit so it's pretty bad. Taunt could be used over Recover to beat Chansey and Blissey but this nukes your longevity. Arceus-Fighting could also technically do this with STAB 100% accurate Fighting Judgment but then it has to use Shadow Ball which has the same problems as Aura Sphere.

Z Refresh Ekiller
Arceus @ Normalium Z
Ability: Multitype
Tera Type: Normal
EVs: 236 HP / 252 Atk / 20 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Swords Dance / Dragon Dance
- Refresh
- Extreme Speed
- Shadow Claw

Usually when you see normalium-z it is with double edge or giga impact. Z refresh gives a full heal with the status clearing which can be nice given that status is a common way of handling Ekiller. BananatimeZ has reminded me I'm a moron and Judgement is a normal type move with Z so Z Arceus-Dark has been removed
