HELLO GUYS WELCOME TO RABIA'S SUPER EPIC AND AWESOME PREDICTIONS POST :DDDD I DON'T KNOW EVERYONE IN THESE MATCHES BUT I WILL DO MY BEST ANYWAY

Surfin' Servines (6) vs (4) Dewford Duckletts
SS: Thiago Nunes vs sensei axew - Sensei Axew is at worst what, the third best SS player in the pool? Unless he's playing against a select few people, it's extremely hard to bold against him after his insane SCL performance.
SS: Confide vs OnArceus - Two really strong players, but I'm gonna favor Confide here for his consistency in team choice. OnArceus sometimes brings some... really suspect teams, and while he makes them work obviously, it makes me scared to bold him in a matchup against another great player.
SS: zS vs daniYSB - my stepbro simply does not lose these
SM: Feliburn vs poh - Feliburn has a strong case for being the best SM player in the pool, especially with EviGaro playing SS instead. I don't question poh's knowledge of the tier at all---he actively played all generation at a high level too---but Feli has displayed pretty consistent performances every NU team tour he plays in.
ORAS: robjr vs Kiyo - kid kiyo noooo don't get mopped in your first game back in months noooo
BW: Insult vs Togkey - Best player in the pool vs someone in the lower half based on early placements. BW is one of the cheesiest metagames in NU history even with Shadow Tag and Riolu stuff being gone, so no prediction in this tier is "safe" per se. I also expect togkey to put in a heavy amount of prep because bro farms mons really hard. Just hard to justify predicting against Insult unless he starts losing really badly across several weeks.
DPP: Pokeslice vs HSOWA - Pokeslice does not play this tier. HSOWA farmed it in NUPL this year. Sorry, bud...
ADV: ArcticBreeze vs Jisoo - will predict Jisoo every week
GSC: Estarossa vs Lunala - esta had a cleaner win last week ig? this meta fills me with dread
RBY: Khaetis vs pac - Their series vs Serpi was a bit hard to watch, but Khaetis is still one of the strongest players in the RBY pool by a very large margin, especially given their RBYPL performance.

SS: Sabella vs mncmt - Both players lost last week playing really strong opponents; gonna favor mncmt here because Sabella has been struggling in these team tours for quite some time now + I trust mncmt's support more
SS: Ark vs Meri Berry - I am a fan of the berry's teambuilding and believe she will have a better performance than last week
SS: EternalSnowman vs tlenit - tlenit has a habit of bringing weird shit in these unofficial team tours and popping off hard w/ it, so sure he can have my bold
SM: QWILY vs Askov - both players rate around the same in my own rankings, gonna slightly lean Askov for better team environment
ORAS: Abejas vs Spl4sh - lowkey think Abejas is one of the most slept on players in this pool. His teams can be sort of samey at times so ig some of these depends on whether Spl4sh brings something to exploit that or not
BW: atomicllamas vs Monai - llamas good player, don't know Monai well enough
DPP: fatty vs Beraldinho - brewfasa is historically one of the better players in this tier; he didn't play last week but I don't really have any reason to believe he "fell off" recently. Beraldinho's classic performance in this metagame didn't really inspire enough confidence in me to bold him over the crust EDIT: I LIED BERALD DID VERY GOOD IN CLASSIC IGNORE ME PLEASE I'M JUST FAVORING BREWFASA FOR HIS PAST TEAM TOUR PERFORMANCES THEN
ADV: shiloh vs Hyogafodex - will NEVER bold rozes...
GSC: Earthworm vs Siatam - it is not possible to predict against the pirate in this tier idc if he loses both his hands and all brain functionality he'll somehow win vs anyone

SS: EviGaro vs Davon - I just really wasn't a big fan of Evi's team choice last week. She's probably a bit better of a player than Davon? I could see this going either way truthfully, but Davon just seems more in touch w/ the meta rn
SS: TJ vs Raptor - neither player plays this tier but they're both strong pilots, going with pop smoke tho because I think he is the stronger pilot
SS: Elias PSY vs GW - I think GW brings better teams but has a much worse mental, so when Elias loads up para spam GW will mental boom and lose as a result
SM: Splash vs HSA - HSA simply looked better in his game last week, that is all I have to say for this one
ORAS: gorex vs Garay oak - I cannot predict against Garay goat in this matchup
BW: cb aaron judge vs Lily - huge fan of the judge and rate him an awful lot higher than I do Lily in this tier. yea his win last week was partly due to a focus blast miss but I think he'll play this week better
DPP: Bughouse vs Staxi - bughouse is the crust on the bread you throw away because it's too tough to chew through
ADV: neomon vs Raichy - not the start he wanted I'm sure, but neomon plays a very similar style every game. I feel this will get exploited.
GSC: Holly vs d0nut - ceo of gsc nu
RBY: Oiseau Bleu vs Serpi - obv gonna come off as MALD here but Serpi played a much cleaner series than Oiseau and looked incredibly dominant in his win over who some would consider the best RBY player in the pool

Ika Ika Musume vs Enigami - Ika already seems to have a good idea of how to play this tier and comes off of a good week 1 showing, I can't predict against Enigami here but an upset could be possible
Lord Thorx vs Koalacance - Koala played a better week 1

SS: Star vs Kushalos - I think they're both really good because no shit lol. Kush seems more familiar with this meta to me, though...

obviously, credit to star for pulling back what looked like a dire early-game vs sabella wk1... but i will go with kush in this mu between 2 really good players
SS: S1nn0hC0nfirm3d vs freezai - Freezai won wk1 with HO i believe; worked well but Ho3n is the master of that style and certainly knows how to beat HO/"cheese"/etc. Along w being a top player he has a stylistic edge bc freezai likes to cheese a lot in these sidetours.
SS: GoldCat vs xavgb - not sure xavgb will put in the effort to crack this meta and gk's teams/play are proven to be solid so ill wait until i see more from xavgb to bold him
SM: Xiri vs quziel - high effort player, yes rabia i shouldve bolded him wk1
ORAS: Highways vs Luck O' the Irish - quziel support + irish is good, highways is a good player too but building & build well are big, big edges in this tier
BW: NHelioX7 vs Nalorium - helio won wk1 nalo did not
DPP: Void vs Heysup - heysup good
ADV: Roseybear vs Wamr - roseybear good, sorry this is boring but yea he usually goes positive in adv for subforum tours & started off strong wk1. ive seen wamrs name in tours 5-10 times but do not know who he is :(
GSC: Diophantine vs vani - I'm still not sure whether diophantine's rant last week was ironic or not? i assumed it was but then ppl dogpiled it with laugh reacts which seems like a weird reaction if u think it is a joke, leading me to think that those ppl didnt think it was a joke and perhaps it wasnt. if it wasnt a joke thats super ass u gotta prep for stall in gsc -- even if gsc nu is offensive.
extracurriculars aside, favoring dio here - heard vani has a tendency to be kinda unpatient and i think his game w holly showed less familiarity with the tier. I dont have too much familiarity w gsc so take it w a grain of salt

DPP: fatty vs Beraldinho - I'm pretty inclined to bold beraldinho who has been on a tear lately, but I think fatty's rly solid in this tier - last NUPL i played him and he had a really cool unconventional mon that worked quite well. point being that u cant dismiss him for trying less hard bc he still comes up w cool stuff
ADV: shiloh vs Hyogafodex - think shiloh will still have better teams, i believe in hyoga as a player but imo u rly need solid adv teams before playing ability can show - plus shiloh's a fine player too
GSC: Earthworm vs Siatam - the goat
RBY: Lord Thorx vs Koalacance - koala was higher in my rby rankings bc they beat ebola in uusd

SS: EviGaro vs Davon - Think this is the ss slot where braviarys have the best shot, even though davon was v solid against zs last week. (did he not know to expect meteor beam or just won a 50-50 around it?)
SS: TJ vs Raptor - raptor does p well in lower tier tours, beating both my teams in it last week lmao (even tho he lucked star:smogduck:) so ill give him the edge
SS: Elias PSY vs GW - elias psys team was very strange and bad, if gw will ever get back on track this is the game to do it
SM: Splash vs HSA - hsa did great to pull it back vs feli last wk
ORAS: gorex vs Garay oak - ik garays annoyed form losing wk1 and prob plans to dominate rest of pool
BW: cb aaron judge vs Lily - this game is very even; ik lily has been struggling in teams tours lately even tho i liked how she played it last wk, where she had a chance w duo. cb's team looked p bad to my (non-BWer) eye but he pulled it back from like 6v4 vs nalo which was nice, hopefully he brings something more solid this wk
DPP: Bughouse vs Staxi - tdk support has been huge in DPP, i'd suspect; iirc he built the tier some in NUPL, and last week staxi brought a cool new team rather than recycling (to the best of my knowledge). it's possible this was also strap support, or staxi himself, or just some old team they dug up -- but i think the pablos will have cool stuff in dpp all season
ADV: neomon vs Raichy - idt raichy knows the tier super well, booming w metang with an unrevealed in back was perhaps not the best decision, even tho i can understand it since it would eliminate the 1 water resist for flareon. neomon seems like the type to use some crazy stuff that'll catch them off guard
GSC: Holly vs d0nut - the CEO, sure - not sure holly's that strong as a player but i'll trust their tier knowledge & passion until it backfires
RBY: Oiseau Bleu vs Serpi - best rby yeye

wanted to put together my SS picks for the week. Go Servines we got this :)

Shiny Charizards vs Rabioots
SS: Star vs Kushalos - Like always, it's hard to bold against the guy with such a nice track record in recent SS NU. On top of that, Star not knowing basic stuff, like that Decid can U-Turn, doesn't give me the best of hope for this week as they start to learn the meta. They did have a really solid team and good support, so who knows? But I'm betting on Kush.
SS: S1nn0hC0nfirm3d vs freezai - Worst name change ever, but that didn't mess with his skill. Still same old Ho3n S1nnoh, and that's pretty good.
SS: GoldCat vs xavgb - I like Goldcat this week. As a circuit fiend, I know he can bring something solid and has the metagame knowledge to really catch people off guard. On the opposite side of things, xavgb had an insanely free win and I can't say yet how good he can be in this slot, but I wouldn't be surprised if he can get a win, especially with some solid support.

SS: Sabella vs mncmt - I didn't like Sabella's game at all last week. The team felt really bad, and Smack Downing a Heatproof Zong that had been taking 3% off burn all game and was on a team with two Ground immunities wasn't a good look. I assume they're just extremely rusty after being away for awhile, but idk.
SS: Ark vs Meri Berry - Meri is more known for building and support rather than as a player, but tbh I don't know enough about Ark except they got extremely unlucky last week. So I guess I'm saying good builds>bad luck.
SS: EternalSnowman vs tlenit - tlenit is an overall good player and EternalSnowman's team last week was very old meta. Even with having the MU and beating down Ho3n, ID Zong quietly 6-0ed back. I'm not sure if this is a sign of the SS core on the Vullabies or just a bad fluke, but I think support in this week goes a long way. I'm hoping these three predictions aren't true because Roxiee and Corthius are more than competent support and I know they can pull them through the week for a win or two. Not sure what went wrong.

SS: EviGaro vs Davon - I think Evigaro will be able to build something that can take advantage of Davon's signature balance builds, but I don't think this is going to be an easy win for either opponent though. It should be a good one to look out for.
SS: TJ vs Raptor - No clue who to pick here, flipped a coin. Congrats Raptor :)
SS: Elias PSY vs GW - Like Expulso said, if there's any week for GW to shake off the rust, it's this one. Elias Psy, known as a solid room tour regular and circuit player, brought a significantly flawed team last week that lost to a ton. He didn't play it terribly, but a team like that being brought doesn't give me the best week 1 impression.​
